Abusive and controlling - most of them are narcissists and have massive ego problems. They will abuse you and then tell you they think you should take medication to help with the symptoms of their own abuse. It would be better if they did not abuse patients in the first place. It is genuinely hard to find words appropriate to describe them, but you are safe in assuming that they are mostly an incompetent bunch of scumbags.

Our friend was admitted 9 days ago to this unit and still has not been seen by the Consultant or had a full assessment. He had an appointment last week which I went along for and we were told she was too busy. We had a confirmed appointment at 10am yesterday which I also went along for only to find out shes on holiday this week and no one told us! It is disgraceful .. he has only been seen by a ward Doctor, he has had no assessment, he has had no one professional to talk to. He is surrounded by psychotic patients .. half of them are on ecstasy or equivalent and are dancing around the tables. So very sad .. avoid at all costs, totally lacking in care.

Called to simply ask for visiting hours. Woman on phone didn't even introduce herself or the hospital, had no idea if I called the right number. Asked for hours and she was so rude just bluntly said 3-6pm with no interest. Disgusting behaviour considering the people they deal with.

I gave 5 stars to Robin ward in Lakeside Mental Health Unit. I am impressed with the Doctor and the Team. The new combination of medication really worked. The Team is very friendly and professional. Their attitude helped my husband a lot to recover. I wish all wards in mental health were like this. Care and and kind attitude that what mentally ill people need. HUGE thank you!

We have been struggling for days with getting help. We visited other hospitals not receiving one. Finally we ended up in West Middlesex hospital and met Ania. She was very helpful and full of compassion. The day after we got call from hospital to come back for the additional assessment and then we received help from Ania and Mahen. They were both very professional, helpful and gave us hope. Thank you so much from our hearts ♥️
