Vegan
menu
nowhere
near
up
to
standard.
I'm
sure
a
great
restaurant
for
non
vegans.
I
(vegan)
went
for
my
birthday
with
my
boyfriend
(vegan),
mum
and
grandma
(both
non
vegan).
The
service
and
general
interactions
with
the
staff
were
very
good,
the
only
Michelin
star
part
of
the
restaurant
really.
We
had
the
lunch
menu,
which
had
one
option
on
for
each
course.
We
weren't
offered
the
menu,
just
told
that's
what
we
were
having.
Having
checked
afterwards,
the
tasting
menus
were
available
but
we
weren't
offered
these.
Other
Michelin
star
restaurants
have
extensive
options
for
vegans
such
as
Pollen
Street
social.
The
vegan
food
was
just
nowhere
near
up
to
the
same
standard
as
the
rest
of
the
menu,
clearly
an
afterthought.
The
first
dish,
the
soup
with
melon
spheres
was
seriously
bland
and
very
watery
in
taste
and
texture.
The
main
was
a
risotto
which
was
quite
nice
although
nothing
especially
memorable,
The
desert
was
a
roasted
hunk
of
pineapple
with
coconut
ice
cream,
marshmallow
and
a
fantastically
generic
"happy
birthday"
chocolate.
I'm
a
professional
pastry
(7
years
in
industry)
and
can
say
that
this
dessert
was
not
only
underwhelming
in
terms
of
the
technical
level
you
expect
from
a
Michelin
restaurant
but
also
quite
poorly
executed.
