Tooting Broadway

Subway station

👍👍 A busy Station which opens out to a large variety of independent shops, a well known market and even outlets of Wilko and Primark (replacing the Marks and Spencer store). You can't miss the statue of King Edward VII who was placed there when the area was a tram stop and before the opening of Tootin... People often mention Tooting,

Very nostalgic for me, used to live in my cousin's house just beside the tube station. The place is full of life, some good and cheap shopping options including Primark and lots of eateries including Indian curry shops. Bus connections are quite good from here. Overall, a nice place to live.

Nice Station that is served by the Northern line. There is always staff in the ticket hall area to help. Can be very busy this station with people going shopping. There is only escalators from the ticket hall area to the platforms no lifts available here. Also Tooting Broadway station is always hot/ very warm down on the platforms.

Tooting Broadway <3 My second day after my arrival in London 27.08.2013, Christmas 2014 vs 2015 ... and today ... The beautiful night Tooting Broadway lives, breathes, constantly boils from people, transports the typical atmosphere for my favorite stop on the subway. In all branches of the intersection there are branches of chains known in UK, branches of banks, food and absolutely everything needed for the everyday life and adventure travel. At the key junction pass the buses for Wimbledon, Streatham, Mitcham, Road and Tooting Bec, Balham ..... Recommend! 5 stars! <3

Too busy on weekend. Nice place by all respect, many bars, different kind of food to enjoy, it's a complete market for our day to day necessities to buy. It's doesn't have historic buildings or so. Good for local residents.

It's not a modern tube station but good staffing on site so some kudos for that. The entrance is wheelchair accessible and staff are available throughout the morning and say to assist. Often the platform going north bound is crowded but there are train destination boards and announcers on site. The shopping area is OK and this is a good place to get excellent curries and pizzas! 👍

I was alone with my baby and pram, I asked if I could be supported down the escalators as I find it daunting having not travelled much on the tube with my baby before. The lady working there was so kind, I wish I asked for her name. She travelled down the escalators with me giving me advice on the safest way to do it so that I'm more confident next time. I am so grateful too Tooting Broadway staff!
