Home of the Richmond Shakespeare Society, we've been going to see performances at this small theatre for around 25 years. The performers may be amateur, but the performances are decidedly professional and there's rarely a spare seat in the house. In summer they put on a play in the nearby Fountain Gardens (part of York House Gardens), with the elaborate Italian fountain and figures forming a spectacular backdrop - get there early, take a picnic, and hope there's no rain!

Small but beautiful theatre in Twickenham. Really worth checking out what's on!

Was really enjoying one of their outdoor performances until it was called off due to the rain, and they were unwilling to let me attend another session to see the end. Very disappointing.

I dont think their standards are all that high and their shows are often miscast

This is a brilliant little theatre, in a great location too. We've been going each month and have loved everything we have seen there. So enjoyable. They have proper plays too - not the silly stuff. It goes to show you don't have to pay silly money to go to the theatre. I recommend this.

A pleasant enough little theatre with a cosy bar. Often well selected plays performed to a reasonable standard, if somewhat miscast. Feels more like wandering in to someone else's club than anything else. A pretty bourgeois demographic.
