Nice and easy going guys at the reception. It's a clean place. You can use their kitchen to prepare a food. Free breakfasts (mostly toast with nutella..... Real nutella :) which is good as it's an energy to sight see London. This place is a bargain because it is cheap, clean and close to most London attractions. Been there in 2015. Sorry for the late opinion.

Overall, I had a pleasant stay while here. The beds are not made and there are no towels provided but the rooms are quaint and the water pressure is outstanding. The beds aren't that thick and are made out of foam but they are so nice to lay on after a long day of adventuring. There's food downstairs in the morning for breakfast that consists of toast with various spreads and fruits but you must go early. Earl's Court is also a great place to be for food. I would recommend this place to my friends.

Well, the only good in the hostel is the location. Apart from that it's not clean, it smells bad and they didn't even try to decorate the rooms more friendly. Unfortunately it's not a good place to stay and definitely it's not the place to meet young people.

This is definitely not the most renovated hostel you’d go to, but it really felt like a home. This is the longest I have stayed in a hostel and I loved it. The location is perfect. I like that they use old wooden bunk beds so that it doesn’t do the creaky sounds that most metal bunk beds do. Breakfast is free and lovely. You can only do laundry during a certain period of time after around 2pm.

Really liked the place! Quietest beds of any hostel I've been to,even if people toss and turn it doesn't ruin your sleep. Very clean and sorted facility, great staff with excellent communication. Feels like a place built with pride and maintained well. Good location within a short walk of the tube.

It’s. So. Gross. It’s 2024 yet they have carpet floors?? I don’t have allergies but I’m pretty sure I’d get them if I stayed one more night. Everything was old and gross, dusty (also they were renovating rooms which made it even more dusty!! Very unsanitary) and the whole place smelled like cigarettes. I’ve travelled more third world countries than European countries, so trust me I have low standards, but my breakfast plate was sticking to the table like your shoes stick to the floor in a club at 4 AM. After seeing what I paid for these nights it hurts even more. Never been charged so much for such a terrible place, even though the staff wasn’t all bad, it should be illegal to rent this out as a hostel in this day and age.

Feels like home away from home! I only stayed one night, but I'd definitely come back. Everything is very cozy, there is a lovely little garden with a BBQ in the backyard and people are very friendly. Rooms are clean, have their own bathrooms and offer a lot of space for storage!

We been there with a friend and we stayed for 4 nights. All the guys are really nice to people and open-minded. Don’t hesitate to ask questions about the place or London. The room are clean and there’s not much noises (it depends about the neighbours and the street but totally fine). A lot of choice about the breakfast and really cool space to meet people (kitchen or a little living room with a tv). I recommend it !

This hostel is excellent. Liz and Ken, the manages, do a great job in all they provide. It is a cost effective great place to stay as you see London. It is on the Piccadilly Metro line so a direct access to Heathrow Airport. The Earls Court Metro stop is about 5 blocks away. Close to the center of London. I have stayed here about 6 times over the last 3 years. They have a basic cold breakfast, no hot eggs or bacon. The rooms are very safe with a large storage locker with a private safe in each large locker. Staff is always available. There it NO bar in the facility so it is quite in the evenings. I am a retired US Government worker who travels a lot and stays in this hostel whenever in London. The visitors were all safe. Management tries to make sure of that. I would not come back if it was bad. Overall it is 5 stars== *****

I have quite ambivalent feelings about staying in the hostel. On the one hand, the staff was very nice. On the other hand, however, the conditions were worse than I expected. The room was small and dark. In my opinion, the toilet downstairs (near the kitchen) needed renovation, bread ran out quietly at breakfast and it had to be reported to the staff, and near the laundry (in the entrance to the garden) I saw a rat.

People were absolutely adorable, we arrived there in the middle of the night but everything was planned and perfect. The room we had was cool and for the price it was more than OK that was really cool. The location of barmy badger is great, it's easy to find something to eat or drink in the neighbourhood and public transport are really close to the hostel. I'll keep the address for a long time and I wish I'll be able to come back before you leave Europe!

Backpackers hostal in a prime location in London! It has everything you need! If you don't like sharing a room, making your bed, washing your own dishes or even having to make your own meals every day because your mummy and/or daddy are miles away, then backpacking isn't for you! 😂

This was such a wonderful experience! Liz was so helpful and welcomed us warmly upon arrival. We stayed in the cutest room with our own shower and sink and we were right down the hall from the kitchen and bathroom. The garden is so beautiful and we had a great time hanging out. It's a quick walk to the underground and to tons of restaurants and shops. Liz was kind enough to give us some great recommendations. Best of all, we got to hang out with Tinker, Liz's dog, who hangs out at the hostel five days a week! We were sad not to stay longer and would highly recommend!

We stayed here for a week in September, we really enjoyed the location and the atmosphere of this hostel. I highly recommend this place if you are spending time in London. It is close to a tube stop and is near a grocery store.

Super friendly staff, really clean hostel with much more faciities than you would get at a regular hostel. Long term stayers are really cool and give the place a homey welcoming feel.

We stayed at the Barmy Badger for three nights in a double room (with shared bathroom). The people running the hostel were nice, relaxed and were very helpful. The location is good, near the Earl's Court underground station. We didn't experience any issues with this but we were on the top floor and the stairs are very steep, and there's no lift. The room was comfortable and clean, no complaints.

By far the best hostel i have stayed at in London, the owners Ken and liz made me feel at home there and they will go the extra mile to help you out. The rooms are super comfortable, proper beds, the bunks are solid wood so there no rattling noise when people go on them, you have a own personal locker for you're luggage plus a safe with a code inside which makes life so easy. The kitchen is great and people that stay there are nice as well. So if anyone is looking for a hostel to stay at in 2022 in London go to barmy backpackers without a doubt.

The Badger truly excels because of its atmosphere. Few places feel this welcoming and I definitely felt like I was being welcomed into the Badger family after only a few days. The facilities are also swell. The kitchen has all you need to cook just about anything. Staff are respectful and helpful. The 6-person dorms are a bit more roomy than the 4-person ones which can feel a bit cramped but all the spaces are really great. The location is ideal for heading downtown since it's so close to the tube. It's also surrounded by loads of traditional pubs and a couple grocery stores so you have plenty of options when picking out food. Cleanliness could be improved but overall it's a great space. I'll definitely be staying here again the next time I come to London

The stuff was great, really nice and helpful ! Also the location was very central you could get to the center in about 10 minutes with the metro. Also there are some good restaurants around. The hostel offers breakfast. The room was clean, as well as the bathroom.

I really loved this super friendly hostel. Comfy beds, nice TV room, great staff in a lovely building in a great location. Top marks.

Great value for money. Floorboards make a lot of noise. mattresses are quite thin but, hey, for this price you can't be too demanding. Love the proximity to the subway and the fact that you can use both District and Piccadilly lines. Also has a supermarket pretty close by and some cheap places to eat.

Very nice staff and nice facilities. What one could expect from a hostel, no complaints from our side.

10/10 Experience! Location was unbeatable. Right next to a tube station, close to Kensington Gardens, the Natural History Museum, and tons of great (cheap!) food options. Staff were super helpful and helped guide us around the city. They also watched over our luggage, and took interest in making sure we always had what we needed. Breakfast was light but delicious and the kitchen was a great community space. Rooms were well maintained. Bunks were comfy enough and clean. My only complaint is that they were kind of loud whenever you rolled around on them (I think it was the mattress rubbing against the wood). But overall, I would absolutely recommend!

10/10 experience! absolutely loved staying here! was so good that we came back again just a few weeks later. loved everything about barmy badgers! the kitchen- spacious and ovens and a microwave so you can cook your own meals, not to mention free breakfast of a variety of toasts, cereal and fruits. also tea and coffee! the bedrooms were good with nice wooden bunk beds that don’t move around or make a lot of noise, comfy mattresses and pilllow. each dorm has its own bathroom. the entire place is spotless clean and the staff are cleaning every day which is so awesome. laundry room is available do to your own washing. the outside area was my favourite with big tables and cute fairy lights at night, could sit out there for hours. the best part about barmy badgers was the staff. Josh and Chris are so awesome and went above and beyond to make our stay great, so friendly and helpful and just overall amazing people. will definitely be coming back just to see them

Absolutely loved staying here! We travelled for 5 weeks staying at different hostels, and this was by far the best. We loved it so much we ended up going back to stay another week at the end of our trip. The rooms are comfortable and had everything we needed, the kitchen is clean and had lots of space for cooking, and there is a nice outdoor area where we met lots of lovely people. The staff here are incredible. Josh and Chris made our trip so much fun, they had great suggestions of places to go/things to do, and they were great company. I am already planning on coming to stay here again next year because of them. Definitely recommend this place!
