Dirty tables, tiny toilettes, shameful Negroni for full price. Sirs, if you were in business anywhere outside of London they would laugh you out of the industry 🤣

The staff here are exceptionally nice! I accidentally knocked some of my fish and chips onto the ground, and they happily replaced the whole meal for free. As a Canadian I really appreciate good hospitality and friendly people; The Imperial is a standup example of this. The food is phenomenal and the buildings architecture is beautiful. A planned trip to Poppies turned into a much better trip to the Imperial once the nice looking building caught our eyes and the smell of the food hooked us in. A special thanks to the host Mark!

Wide selection of beers on tap. Lovely outdoor seating area. I stopped here on my first night in London to get some fish and chips. I got the “big fish and chips” and it was delicious. You just can’t get this level of flavor at a local bar / pub in the US. The food is week seasoned, perfectly cooked and yummy. It is treacherous to get to the toilets (but this is common in London) and the toilets didn’t smell great (again very common here)

Compliments to the chef for steak pie, chips & garden peas. Fair price for quality and quantity. Fine selection of cask ales.... Recommend the Abbot Ale to enhance the meal. Good crowd. Good atmosphere. Friendly and helpful staff. A good place to put your feet up and relax on the tour of the West End.

This was my 2nd time here! Our first experience was so good on this visit to London we came back for lunch and a couple pints! We were reminded why we came back. The atmosphere is so charming and the staff is phenomenal!! The food was very good ( I had the cheddar bacon burger). I highly recommend this Pub!!

A delicious meal, proper pub grub, but great quality! We had fish and chips and steak and ale pie. Both dishes were plentiful and very fresh; the chips were amazing and not greasy, best chips I’ve had in a long while. Steak and ale pie is apparently “award winning” it was a very good pie! In a great location, I would recommend!

A great pub, nestling between Leicester Square and Chinatown. Happy polite attentive staff to help you drink the day away. A good place to meet for a chat and and to out the world to rights. Only one cask (IPA) on offer when I was here, others on the way though. Plenty of keg on offer, along with a pie menu for the hungry. A most pleasant pub, certainly worth a visit.

Local pub is always more than welcome. Massive selection of beers, wines or other alcoholic drinks. Super helpful staff members which will answer your most demandful questions with smile. Absolutely must visit while being on Westend.

Good for a drink wouldn’t recommend the food. Fish and chips wasn’t nice, as was the chicken burger. Ordered a ham and cheese toastie and was unable to eat it. Unsure of how you get such a basic thing wrong, cheese not melted one slice of ham and smothered with Mayo.

I popped into The Imperial a few weeks ago with my family but was in a bit of a rush. My wife and I returned tonight on our own before going to a show and had time for a couple of the fine range of drinks available and some great food. I’m partial to a good pub pie and chips and it was superb. The service is quick and friendly and the pub feels comfy and welcoming. It’s an ideal place for some pre show or cinema refreshments. A really nice traditional English pub. I’ll be back!

This pub is a relatively standard Greene King offering. It's much less spacious than most; it's very much on the pricey side and the decor does seem to be unusually plain though this is not surprising given the high cost of the area. There's a small outdoor seating area but the proximity to Leicester Square and in particular M&M world makes it rather noisy. I admit I've not tried the food here.

Good to see a pub offer meal deals (Mon to Fri). Enjoyed the scampi and chips. The grilled cheese toastie is nice too. Good selection of beer and friendly staff!

Unfortunately it's by far the worst pub I've ever visited in London. Admittedly, the selection of drinks is good, but the service - if you can call it that - subpar. We waited 20 minutes until our table was cleared of the leftovers left by the guests in front of us. Table wasn't wiped either. We ordered the BBQ chicken at £15. You can see the dish in the photos. That's what you get at this price. An absolute disgrace. The chicken was also bone dry and almost impossible to cut. After dinner there was no clearing up, we left the restaurant half an hour later and everything was still not cleared away. The bar itself was also full of empty glasses because no one put them away. I strongly advise against visiting this pub!

Had some fantastic food and drinks here on Thursday, the staff were on the ball and very friendly. We were gonna leave but then the live music started and we stayed for the whole thing! Think we found our new Thursday local. Big shout out to the two Irish lads, excellent tunes and excellent craic!

Nice pub had to ask where my tea was as only one person serving considering it's lunchtime. Ordered the cheese toastie which I admit was delicious but couldn't eat it all so shared with my husband who liked his scampi. Great pub the ladies is upstairs and staircase v dangerous.

Lovely Pub, good selection of Beers as well as niche Belgian Beers. I had the Guinness and it’s well kept as well as a reasonable price for Central London. Service was efficient too.

Me and my girlfriend were told that we weren't allowed in, for no apparent reason. The security guard was about 5'10 and spoke in a continental accent. He didn't keep his eyes off me like I was some kind of threat even though I did nothing wrong. This happened at about 10:40pm. Mind you he didn't actually try and do anything when I walked in but my girlfriend was already uncomfortable enough, so I walked back out and he said there are "other bars around here".

Little gem of a pub Pub was very busy & we where pushed for time so only had chance to order a starter & drink. Due to time constraints bar man promised us a full refund if our starters did not arrive within 10/15 mins - luckily our food turned up on time 😀 Would rate this tiny bar 5 stars for staff attitude/ helpfulness & friendliness Our starters where worth the money and tasty, just wish we had the time to order a main Would we return if in the area again, 100%

I reserved a table here last night for me and my husband to have a pre theatre cheap and cheerful meal. So glad I reserved a table because it was very busy (rugby was on which I didn't realise), my husband couldn't find our table with my name on - note to self don't send husband to look for something 🙈) so I tried to grab someone's attention which took awhile because of how busy it was. Anyway after a while Mark (I think!) showed us to our table and was very attentive. He was friendly, gave us great food recommendations and made us feel welcome. Will definitely visit again next time we're in the area thank you .

Great atmosphere, friendly service, huge food portions. I had fish and chips and the fish was wider than the plate! Highly recommended!

Only stayed for the drinks so cannot comment on food. Incredible location right next to Leicester Square, so good to pop in for a drink or two if you want a break from the crowds. However you would be lucky to get seating most of the time. Great selection of drinks on offer, much you're usual pub drinks, and it's not too bad of a price considering its location. Small seating area outside too if you get there early enough or just as someone is leaving.

I came here early for a specific lager which mentioned in their menu on the app but they told me they stopped serving it. I came late at the same day and the guy ignored us to take another people order who came after us. I talked with him and he said they came before of us which is not good way to treat your customers. Other than that it was okay.

Sorry I do not often leave reviews but oh my gosh!! What a horrible evening! I popped for dinner after a cold day we needed something warm . Staff neglected and ignored me?? I spoke to one of the men working there…he said he would clear my table… never happened even after second reminder. We ended up moving to a table which people just left! Still sticky table and food from other people just not cleared! My food actually never came and I asked for a refund but the person at the bar did not know how to do it and asked me to wait but by then me and my friends were fed up and left!

Looks like a nice place in a good location and we were looking forward to the outdoor area. The entrance was blocked off and we waited until after the listed opening time. The waiter left out the ashtrays, presumably in advance of opening. We still waited and went inside to check and were told 'not open'. When I asked what time opening was, we were told 'when we decide to open'. We left and the waiter followed not far behind, kicked the chair blocking the entry back into its position, and glared at us down the street. Needless to say another establishment is now getting our custom!

Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and good food. The food is very tasty and it (in comparison) is not that expensive. Walked in spontaneously while searching for a comfortable place to eat and would definitely come here again. 11/10 would recommend to anyone that is close to Leicester Square!

The worst bar ever in London center. Never had such a horrible customer service from the waiters in my life. He kick us off from the bar just because we had our kid with us but he was outside the bar with her aunt as he couldn’t be with us in the table. Unbelievable how disrespectful is the “manager” of this “bar”. Not recommended at all .

Was a quick stop while in Leicester Square to escape the rain and have a pint, but was a surprisingly nice experience. Atmosphere was good, service was nice and the burger was on point. I am not a pub expert but this would be someplace I'd recommend.

Great atmosphere and service, unfortunately my chicken and bacon sandwich had barely any chicken and was mostly coleslaw. I was probably just unlucky as I saw other people's that looked like they had more chicken. I didn't want to complain as I was out for a friend's birthday.

Just off Leicester Square. Really friendly chatty staff. Selection of ales lagers and craft options. Good sized portions toasties and a sharer. Get in early if you want a seat. Filled up quickly

Last night we went to the West End for a family night out to see the Christmas lights and go to the Leicester Square Christmas market as well as go to China Town for a meal. Unfortunately this was ruined at the end of the night when we went back to the Green King Imperial Public House at 5 Leicester St, London WC2H 7BL. We first went there as we had a half hour wait for out table at the Ermei Sichuan Restaurant at the end of the road, as my two sons needed a toilet and was thirsty. When my wife took my children to the upstairs women's toilet, she said to me they were disgustingly dirty and smelt dreadful, so I took the boys to the men's toilets which were acceptable & fine. We then continued to have our drinks, as apart from the women's toilet issues, everyone was happy and it was not to noisy and busy for my sons. We then went to the restaurant and had our meal. When we come out my two son's wanted a bubble tea which we got and we then went back to the Imperial for my wife and I to have one for the road. This is when our lovely evening all went dreadfully wrong. There was one table left in the corner at the end of the bar on the left hand side where we sat. We hadn't sat down one minute, when my son kept feeling drips coming on him. When we looked up we saw the leak in the ceiling and realised the pitcher on the table was not beer, but put there to catch the drips from the ceiling. Obviously my wife and I couldn't believe that this seating area hadn't been cordoned off due to the human waste leaking from the ceiling, in order to safe guard the public. My wife reported this to the bar staff and complained why wasn't this area condoned off, and the bar staff said that's why the pitcher jug is there to catch the leak, surely you realised that???? Obviously we were not happy with the unprofessionalism of the staff and how they expected us or any other members of the public to know, that in fact there was human waste leaking from the ceiling into the pitcher jug (as photographed). This area should have been cordoned off to safe guard the public.

Really good pub in a great location. Had a relaxed work Xmas food & drinks, food was great and good range of beers on offer (6 lager/IPA & 4 ale on draft). Competitive prices for the location as well. Staff welcoming and on top of everything.

What a brilliant pub. Came here with friends after dinner and Natasha and her team couldn’t be more welcoming. They made our evening so much fun and we felt so welcome. You’d never know this was a central London pub. Felt family run. Amazing service 100% come here again would highly recommend to all. Thank you Natasha x

I was with a friend, we were passing this place on the way home as it was cold outside and thought we’d stop in. At first the vibe seemed nice, like your average pub. Chill. Polite and friendly bar staff. I asked the barman before ordering how much time we had, he said ten minutes and it was on those terms I ordered drinks. I paid, before even reaching the seat the lights went up and the door staff suddenly piped up out of nowhere. It was one doorman with issues, the other was fine, but it was the man with the shaved head looking like he was in dire need of a moisturiser that suddenly went around shouting aggressively telling everyone to get out and not to come back. Completely out of nowhere and it ruined any vibe that there was there. Completely unnecessary especially as we were just told we had ten minutes to sit and have our drink. I’m used to being treated with respect from the moment I enter the usual venues I go, to leaving. It was not the case here and completely caught me off guard. I treat people with respect and I expect that in return, especially from staff when I’m spending my time and money at your venue. It’s ironic that he was the only one causing aggression, provoking and escalating problems. Surely their job is to prevent that. He was honestly raging, red in the face. It felt like all of a sudden he had a purpose, but he went about it completely wrong. The bar staff honestly looked embarrassed by his behaviour. To whoever is booking your door staff- perhaps ask yourself if they are actually doing their job. Do they function in a capacity that controls or prevents aggressive behaviour and incidents or are they the ones provoking and escalating them. It was a total buzz kill and I felt completely disrespected for no reason at all.
