Was so looking forward to this place after reading several great reviews however clearly my version of 5 stars is not the same as many others. True I fo eat out a lot and in some very very fancy places so my pallate is a bit more experienced but how anyone can call this food excellent is well beyond me... had the Goat croquettes which were way way over breaded... meat was pleasant enough but anything deep fried usually is! The jerk chicken was lukewarm... very dry...sloppy overpowering sauce slapped on and just not desirable in the slightest... I tried to eat as much as I could to give it a chance but had to stop... not for me this place although I'm sure a lot of the youngsters will disagree with me... then again my bill was £30 so not sure many youngsters can afford this place! I would also question the decor which is very tired looking and not so clean/fresh. If nothing else hats off to them for playing the Google review game and somehow getting a great score!!

My family and I booked a table of 6 for a meal and some drinks. When we arrived at 5 we were told that because the pub was fully booked, we'd lose our table if less than 6 of us showed up, which was odd. We ordered our food and were told all the Sunday Specials had sold out instead of the pork and we had to switch our orders, (Annoying but understandable as it had been a busy day) My mum actually got the Pork special but the piece of meat she got was mostly fat so she sent it back and ordered wings instead. After we finished eating a waiter came over and told us that after the football match, we needed to give up our table so they could set up a DJ booth. There were 6 minutes left on the match timer... The sign said we had the table until 7 but we had to give it up at 6:10. He offered to find us another table but we could see my mum was angry and chose to leave before she started calling you all bloodclaarts or something 😂 (she chose to cuss us out instead on the way home so thanks for that 🤦🏾‍♀️) Despite that, the rest of the food and the drinks we had were all really nice & the kitchen got our food out pretty quickly. I had the Halloumi Bun which was delicious and your Jerk Mayo was Chefs Kiss

Used the music room (the room upstairs) as a meet place for a charity I volunteer with. The pub was very helpful and accommodating. Food and drink was good and came quickly. They did sharing platters for us and it was great. We were inside, but there is a lovely outdoor area too.

Good bustling venue with a great vibe! 45min drive here for us but definitely worth the visit. There's plenty of adverts throughout the calendar here which your easily find on the website. We personally tried the bottomless brunch which was enjoyable. Food is delicious here which is accompanied with a good selection of drinks all reasonably priced. The Jerk chicken is excellent. Staff friendly and attentive. Highly Recommended

Staff need to be more aware of customer's needs and listen to their requests. I had asked when I booked the table to be sat far from windows and doors as I'm always cold and the first thing they do is allocate me right next to the main entrance meaning when people come in and out I'll be getting all the breeze from outside and staff seemed like they didnt care at all. Secondly they sent me to a very low table that had no lighting whatsoever and it would've been like eating in a cave, I managed to ask a lovely couple if they didn't mind me and my partner sitting at the end of their table as they had a table for six and they agreed to it so we moved table again and sat right across the table from them, couple of minutes later, I saw a couple doing exactly the same as they werent satisfied where they were seated (same low table I was offered the second time) and the woman was complaining to the boyfriend how low and dark that spot was, they proceeded to move to the couch. The food was nice but the portion of rice was very little to say the least and my drink, the "burgess blossom passion fruit" was too sweet I thought I was drinking pure glucose with water, even after I dyluted it with half a glass of tap water still was too sweet. Being the first time I found this little details very annoying and inconvenient, however the taste of the food was delicious so I'd love to come back and hopefully this time around I'll get a better experience.

Ordered beer and jerk chicken, it was amazing. Loved the place and the ambience. I was lucky enough to get the place, would recommend to anyone who js new to call and reserve the table before going to this place especially during lunch or peak time and festive seasons. Highly recommend to anyone who love local brewed beer and good authentic jerk chicken.

OK pub on Peckham High Street. No cask ale on handpump when I visited. I was attending a Labour Party event in the upstairs room which was fine. But the downstairs bar was very noisy and definitely not my type of pub. Plenty of outdoor seating some of it covered.

Third time buying and this time a takeaway. Food packaged well. Nice staff. Never been outside and chilled but people are always laughing or talking, with good vibes of music in the background. Good vibes when you walk inside. If you're looking for a local spot to hang out in the day, a good place to go with good food and vibes. Not sure about the nightlife, never been but heard it turns into a bar/club on Fridays and Saturdays. This time I ordered rice and peas and jerk chicken with sauce, and coleslaw and the chef put in a little gift and the surprise was sticky honey wings, which I have become a fan of. Thank you again.

White man can’t Jerk is inside Prince of Peckham Pub for those of you that don’t know . However I didn’t expect the food was going to be succulent and juicy. I ordered a large Jerk Chicken which came with fries and coleslaw, must say it was a reasonable position and very filling, mind you I was hangry 😂😂. Myself and partner went late so the evening, relaxed and not too busy. The staff and service were good had nothing to complain about. I would definitely recommend and will be revisiting prince of Peckham on a busy night.

The food I had here was amazing, but I’d say the service did not match its level… There was a lovely waitress who was patient with our needs but the others tended to be chatting away with each other rather than looking out to assist customers. My jerk chicken burger tasted great but came cold, chips too - the wait was longer than normal despite the place being empty when we arrived. It grew quite busy on the day but it wasn’t a disturbing atmosphere at all. Would just hope for improved customer service, have always heard good things about Prince of Peckham but this wasn’t a great first impression.

Delicious food and friendly service. You have to go up to the bar to order. They were no curry goat croquettes or malty dessert which was slightly annoying but still had a great time and left stuffed. I'd definitely go again!

Lovely experience here! All dishes were super flavoursome, especially the jerk burger. The Mac and and chilli cheese was delicious and had the perfect consistency. Service was swift and attentive so will definitely return.

Chicken and chips!!Oh my!!! The chicken and chips is jerk chicken with this sauce and fries seasoned with a garnish. The jerk chicken was soooo good I was dancing while eating. It’s seasoned with perfect spices and it’s so moist it melts in your mouth. Absolutely the best jerk chicken I have ever had!! My sister had the honey and chilli chicken wings with chips. Her wings were delicious too. This is a great spot for dinner and drinks. The drink menu is long and there are Happy Hour specials at certain times on certain days. They have bathrooms with plenty of stalls especially for all the ladies. We made a reservation and I highly recommend it because it’s first come sit where you want and if you want good seating a reservation is the way to go especially if you have a party size over 3. They play good music all throughout and it’s a friendly laidback environment. You have to check them out. They also have outdoor seating too and it’s comfortable seating. Swing by and get a good drink with some good jerk chicken and enjoy the music. Highly recommend!!!!

We were advised by a lady working at Soul Fuel to go visit this spot as its very urban and has a rnb vibe to it. She was totally right. Had a romantic night with cocktails from a happy hour. Ended the night dancing as there was a DJ playing. Amazing deal with cocktails at a certain time. We ordered only 4 and went on trying beers after. The service was oke, we had to wait long before to order drinks even tho we were sitting at the bar by some guy. When we started asking someone else for help we received good service. We even ordered food. The chicken bites/strips are a BIG WIN. Good combination with beer or cocktails, comes with mayo. Partner loved it, but A spicy option or truffle option is sauces or BBQ would be nice. I wished they asked us before on what sauce we prefered . Very neat bathrooms. greetings from the Netherlands

Lovely place! Haven't been to Peckham in years so wasn't sure at first hut this place is lovely. Staff are so down to earth & helpful. The menu for Wednesday was Jamaican food (cooked by White Men Can't Cook) - £5 cocktails & £5 snacks Everything was scrumptious. Loved it

I booked 'The Shrine' private room for my 30th birthday and it was an amazing night. Jess and the team were super helpful with any requests leading up to the party and all the bar staff/security on the night were lovely. The space itself was great, really good sound system and private bar. Would definitely recommend booking the Prince for any private parties.

We came for Sunday lunch and the kitchen is run by White Men Can’t Jerk. Our food was excellent; full of flavour and nicely presented too. Due to a fault, many of the beers/ales on tap were unavailable on our visit. Staff were friendly and helpful though.

Casual pub for young people. Quite busy on the day I visited. They do a small selection of cocktails for £5. I went on a Wednesday late evening. I would recommend the elderflower cocktail and the chicken wings 😍. The chicken wings are lovely and have a nice garnish. Cheap and cheerful

The pub that has been on my radar ever since watching Saving Britain's Pubs with Tom Kerridge many many moons ago so when What’s in the glass suggested going to the Prince of Peckham for a few scoops I jumped at the chance. When you set your eyes on the pub you naturally get drawn to the beautiful mural by @mrcenzone which will leave you bamboozled by the level of detail in artwork. Luckily enough it's on the side of a pub so you can wet your whistle while you’re gather your thoughts. Once you walk through the doors you’re stepping into a welcoming vibrant atmosphere with people sinking pints, chowing down on white mane can’t jerk or doing a combination of both. The Prince of Peckham is a great example of what a modern pub can provide for the community!!

I enjoy the atmosphere here, staff are always pleasant. The food is good and worth the price. Drinks are nice, I wish they would extend the cocktail menu to make it a tad more fruity.

Amazing and friendly staff, delicious food, a cosy atmosphere, and general good vibes. We love this pub and so do our kids. One of the best pubs in London for sure!

This place is lit! Had dinner and drinks with friends and the food was fingerlicking delicious 😆! We had the Jerk chicken meal with the Pimms Pitcher and Prince Pitcher, both drinks for 6-8 people to share. The place gets really busy so I'd strongly suggest that you make a reservation before turning up. It was a most pleasurable dining experience and I'd definitely recommend this place!

Now true said that I was a resident of Peckham for over 28 years and I'm sad to say that this was the first time they had ever entered and enjoyed the full delights of this place I'm happy to come back here again I was treated like a God, in this place people that I did not know were to buying me drinks I think they recognise the king has come home.

Place is open late enough, which is very convenient. However if you order on the bar, service charge is added automatically to your bill, so watch out, you will end up paying £7 a pint taking a round of few drinks. When I walked back to the bar to question the price, service charge was refunded right away without checking who am I and what did I ordered, coincidence? Haven't had a food on this occasion, but was very tasty before, so cannot really comment on that. The standard went up since Clement (manager, hope I remember the name right) took over, so good luck and hope any issues will be resolved.

It's a nice bar. They play good music. During weekends it gets really busy. But during the week days it is less crowded. But they have a good space. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Pricing is okay.

I ordered the halloumi main meal and cauliflower side. Main meal was amazing. Would recommend. The cauliflower wasn’t all that. Wouldn’t order again. Service was ok. After we finished our plates weren’t cleared in for a while but it was a bit busy on a Sunday. Would definitely go back here to eat!
