It's a great place to have a steak. We paid around £45 each for a starter, two mains, dessert, and wine, so I think it's a fair price considering the location and the quality of the food. The service was excellent, very accommodating with allergies. The only thing I can mention is that the bread in the steak sandwich wasn't to my liking; it was too thick and spongy, which made it a bit challenging to swallow with all the ingredients inside the sandwich. However, the taste was amazing. Please click the 'like' button if you find this review helpful.

Food is of a great standard especially compared to the touristy restaurants just around the corner. Shared a Porterhouse which came with 2 potato based sides and 2 sauces. The wine is also good but the bar can make some cracking cocktails too. Sitting next to the huge fire/grill can be a bit warm/smokey but it is a sacrifice worth making for how much better the steak tastes for it.

Nice bar and restaurant. They have a small outdoor seating area and a bar area to wait for your table. Nice food and nice cocktails! Open concept kitchen is interesting while waiting for your food. Highly recommend for dinner with friends or family

The food was surprisingly amazing and really well priced for such a central location! The bar downstairs acts as a nice place to meet for a drink before dinner. The staff were really helpful - we had a party of 25 and they catered to all our needs. Had decent options for veggie but really needed more

Had our Sunday roast here. A very nice and spacious venue. Good size portion and the beef I ordered was ok and had a choice between pink or well done. Would of been nice if there were medium and medium rare options. Overall a great experience

It's a shame the restaurant didn't have any fish available (no tuna or sole), so one of the members of our group had to order the cabbage (below expectations) whilst the other ordered a steak (though he wasn't in the mood for it). Make sure you order the fillet medium-rare. The young lady at the bar is a great mixologist. I'd go back just for the cocktails. The wait service gave us plenty of attention.

Went for a friend's birthday dinner. We had a big group so got the private room at the back. The food was a set menu, which was excellent especially the steak. The only let down was the service, which was a bit slow. Overall however, it was a very good night out.

A large restaurant with several dinning rooms and private dining rooms. They offer European cusine Friendly staff and a nice ambiance. They also have an outdoor dining area. A good place to meet friends or family for a drink and a meal.

A superb place with a wonderful setting. There was sumptuous decor all around us and the brilliant DJ ensured that the atmosphere was on point from the moment we walked in. The drinks were reasonable in terms of price and there was a great range to choose from. All the members of staff were attentive and welcoming which made it an even more pleasant experience.

Great experience at Sophie's the other week. Lovely venue, decor really cool inside. Amazing staff, very friendly and we're on hand at all times for our table of 12! Food was really nice, I had the aubergine starter, rib eye steak and then burnt cheesecake for dessert. All fantastic. Looking forward to going back ⭐

Booked all you can eat beef ribs and wings The restaurant is beautiful and the staff are fantastic nothing was too much to ask for. I moved tables 3 times as I’m quite fussy and the staff were more than happy to help me move. Then the food came out beautifully presented and tasted even better. I’d been craving beef ribs and those ribs more than satisfied my craving. Would highly recommend booking.

I had mixed feelings about this place some of the food I loved but some of it was mediocre. I expected the scotch egg to be dry but it wasn't and it was honestly delicious. Personally I didn't feel the pepper paired well with the burrata but the burrata itself was very nice. Unfortunately our steak order was wrong but we didn't want to get it changed as we had waited a while. It tasted good despite the plain presentation and the desserts were also quite tasty. Over all I had a pleasant experience and would probably go again, although it would be nice to see a change in the decor. Half naked women are lovely but maybe some half naked men as well for a bit of equality? It is 2022 after all!

First of all… Thomas… you were amazing. This was me and my mums first time in london as we come from the north so quite a distance. We’re not used to the size or busyness of london. Nor on how rude londoners can be, so we were quite overwhelmed. Although Thomas completely changed that for us. He had so much patience, listened to us and his service was exceptional. He gave us tips on london, and even helped us back to the hotel. So if i was to come back to London, i will definitely be visiting Sophies steakhouse again. So, food wise. Staggering. I honestly cannot fault it. I’ve never tasted such fresh, tasty food in my life. We did not wait 1 hour in between dishes which has always been my issue with other restaurants and steak houses. The service was incredible by all staff. A great atmosphere too, definitely a place that is loved. Thankyou again and thankyou Thomas!

Great atmosphere, service could improve and food was ok. One meal arrived first and we waited for a long time for the rest of the order for four people. The weren’t many vegan options. Definitely don’t recommend green fingers mocktail. They make lovely coffees though. It’s not the first visit, we’ve been there before and sadly over the years it has gone down. Great atmosphere though and lovely interior design. Toilets are super clean too.

Very delicious meal! I recommend the burrata and the side mushrooms. We also had the sticky toffee pudding and it was very tasty. Service was incredible - very friendly staff.

An accidental find that we will return to. Great service, atmosphere, and food all made for a lovely end to the evening. A good choice of steaks/cuts to suit everyone and the open kitchen and cooking area is a nice touch.

Sophie's has just taken the top spot of all the steak houses I have been to in London. We arrived half an hour early and, having called ahead that we would be, they were happy to seat us even during a time when the restaurant was visibly busy. Our waitress, Hannah, came over and took our drinks order. I ordered an espresso martini. Unfortunately they had used syrup (this is a trick lots of bars do to make you drink more alcohol as it neutralises it) and I couldn't taste it until after a few sips. It was happily and quickly exchanged for another that had no syrup. Good service. Hannah was a delight to have as a waitress. Knowledgeable about the menu, prompt and checked in on us without being intrusive. On to what we had: - Tuna Tartare, smashed avocado, smoked chilli, lime, sourdough crisp: I had to have this as this receipe frequency has egg in it which I'm allergic too. The tuna was extremely smooth and the chilli/lime combination is a fantastic, South American-esque combination. - Smoked Brisket Croquettes chilli mayo, sauerkraut: again, a smooth centre just as croquettes should be. The mayo was the perfect flavour accompaniment. - 1kg Porterhouse steak. Order this. And do it medium rare. Wow, was this good! The meat has a flavour and quality difficult to come across. The filet side was extremely tender, and the sirloin side had a ton of flavour. - Fries - can't really go wrong with these. :-) - Wedge salad - what was particularly notable about this wedge salad was that the mayo was not overdone. Frequently restaurants will drown the wedge, but not here. Enough to get the flavour and sufficient to allow the bacon and black sesame flavours to come through. - Vanilla and salted caramel ice cream - this is where they could improve. It was tasty, but then so is ice cream from a supermarket. Overall, a fantastic restaurant with premium quality steak that has bested those steak restaurants I have been to prior (check out my other reviews).

Sunday roast was good and the service attentive professional and kind from the entrance to the table. The Manager and the Lady assistent were caring and welcoming. Toilets clean and Atmosphere brilliant.

A lovely find on the way to the theatre, the pre theatre specials were great value for money and there was a good selection of wines to choose from. The food was delicious & steaks cooked exactly as requested , a lovely atmosphere & decor too. Our server was Danny, I asked his name as wanted to be able to mention his great service, he was friendly, professional & matched our energy perfectly. Will be going back when next In London

Good food, great vibes, and amazing service! The steak is definitely my favorite and I totally recommend it. I ordered a bunch of plates to share with my friends and it was honestly a bit pricey but so worth it. We went on a Tuesday evening so luckily got a table without any reservations. Other than the food, the best thing about this place was the service. The waitress who was taking care of our table was very friendly and patient with us. Overall 9.5/10 (slight minus 0.5 for the mocktail I ordered which tasted just like orange soda and it was a bit disappointing)

This place is more about the ambiance than the food quality. I ordered the ribs which seems to be the most popular meat dish and they were dry and over cooked. That being the said, the service was decent. They seemed fairly well staffed. Maybe the drinks are better here. The venue itself is quite nice and it’s reasonably easy to get tables due to the large size of the restaurant.

Being a customer few times I had no issues here, however on 02/06/22 I had the worst experience and due to that I will not recommend or going to Sophie’s again and I tell you the reasons why. Front of house and front of house supervisor was extremely rude, it seems like they don’t understand customer service. They said there were no reservations left and in order to get a table I will have to wait which is fine, so I said I’ll get a few drinks at the bar and once a table is available could you come and get me? They said no, I will have to keep coming and check every 15mins which sounded so wrong. At this point I should of left! I asked at the end of the meal if they can bring out any dessert with a candle and just put it on the bill which agreed however it didn’t happen. I ordered a sharing board steak the waiter has not even ask how would I like my steak. I had to tell him myself after the order was taken. Food arrived and the steak is nearly well done, I didn’t complain Instead I gave them the benefit of the doubt it was busy, no one came to ask how’s was the food. The service was so poor. I feel sorry for my girlfriend as I felt her birthday meal was ruined. When I asked for the bill, I have asked if the service charge to be taken off then I had the waiter trying to Interrogate me why?!?!? So I asked for the manager, I didn’t catch her name but she seems to understand and agreed I didn’t had a great time so she has taken off the service charge and took off 3drinks 2 starters and the service charge which was very nice of her but just wished I had a nice birthday meal.

We had a wonderful family dinner here our last night in London. Amazing energetic ambiance, delicious food, and great service in a beautifully appointed space. Would definitely return.

Very mediocre & bland vegetarian Sunday roast. They were out of the stuffing (?) so it was five different root vegetables and I’m pretty sure the brussel sprouts had meat in them. Service was also quite rude from the hostesses, but server was great! The atmosphere on the terrace was nice.

My first visit...and now my favourite venue in London. Great location, decor, ambiance, service, staff and amazing food. First class in every department.

We were looking for a bite to eat before a theatre show and we decided to go for a Sunday Roast. Oh lord the food was tasty! The gravy was amazing. We had chargrilled bread with onion butter. Everything was perfect. I had half a chicken with my roast, I ended up taking it home because it was so filling. Highly recommend 👌🏾

Went on a Friday night, pre booked but when we got there they didn't have it in the book, not a problem though as they were able to sit us, very clean and tidy, staff were helpful and willing to explain the menu if needed, open plan kitchen which was nice to see, food was nice and a good selection. Would go back.

Fab selection of cocktails. Nice nibble menu, but other menu also looked nice. Sat on the terrace which was lovely, with heaters and blankets if you got cold. Nice place with a lovely atmosphere.

Wanted to have steak elsewhere, but that place greeted us with an attitude, so we just stumbled upon Sophie's, and that's what I would call a fated encounter. The steak frites at 15 pounds (available until 7 pm) was just unbeatable, and the quality was excellent. The chicken liver pate and the sticky toffee pudding were both delicious, and the staff was very attentive. I don't think I would want to have steak anywhere else in London after this experience.

Absolutely faultless. Superb service from very smiley and energetic staff. Great menu. Very good cocktails. The main act was the meat, which was nothing short of sublime. The crew working the pit were really friendly too and talked us through the whole cooking process. A simply fantastic evening. Thanks team Sophies.

Really enjoyed our visit to Sophies. Great food, nice being able to see the kitchen and that great wood fired grill. Only grumble was quality of service - waiter seemed a little rushed and didn't explain the menu or the available sharing steaks

Excellent steaks, atmosphere and vibrant bar 🥃🍹🥩 Went for a birthday dinner and the staff were super accommodating and lovely. Definitely try the range of cocktails on the menu during starters, move on to their selection of red wines for mains and bubbles for dessert 🥂😎 We had the croquettes, crispy squid, ribeye/ fillet (creamed spinach, truffle mac & cheese, and hash brown bites for sides), and finish with the sticky date pudding (finished too quick couldn’t snag a pic) 10/10 🍸
