Nice little restaurant in Upper Street with traditional Spanish tapas. My favourite dish was the spinach & blue cheese croquetas, 10/10! The secreto was also very good but I found the prawns a bit too salty. Lovely traditional tortilla with a soft center and the extra Virgin olive oil was to die for! The total bill was £80 with a bottle of Albariño.

What a pleasant surprise to find this lovely Spanish tapas bar/restaurant! After a long flight (due to 4.5 hours delay), we had our first meal in London and enjoyed the flavor, atmosphere and the live sound of Spanish guitar. Everything was perfect!

Best tapas on Upper Street. Drinks - nice selection of spirits, cocktails & beers. Staff - service efficient and friendly. You’re not rushed for your table back either. Food - lovely! The cooked meat & fish dishes are sublime. Love the cheese & meat platters too. Lots of vegetarian options as well

Great for an occasion dinner and great for a casual catch-up. The staff is really great and funny. Their meals are great. What's not to like. I'm going back to try the rest of the menu

Fernando took exceptional care of us. We enjoyed our discussions of travel, places to stay in Spain, travel and culture in general. The Tappas were fantastic! We had the Queso with the Smoked Paprika, Olives, Chorizo, Peppers, and the Ribeye. All were delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed sharing them. Lerena is excellent and definitely worth a visit!

Nice and lively place with an earthy theme. The staff member was really nice and gave us some excellent recommendations and I was happy to find a nice tapas place with a nice atmosphere. I would really recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice Spanish place with lively neighbourhood atmosphere and good vegetarian options!

A lovely tapas place in Angel! We visited on a Wednesday night & the place was really quiet! Besides the fantastic drinks and tomate bread we ordered, we were delighted by the presence of a guy playing some Flamenco music! So lovely! I'd totally recommend visiting when around Angel!

The restaurant's name refers to a Spanish city in Extremadura and serves food from that region. The dishes, such as croquetas with champignons, puntillitas, fried boquerones, gazpacho, pluma were delicious. Some others, such as fried champignons and patata bravas less so but still tasty. The presentation of the food was generally great and you can accompany it with (apparently) house made vino dulce Pedro Jiménez which also tasted very authentic. The downside is that the place is small with the tables squeezed closely next to each other and that the desserts are not very interesting, only two options in fact.

One of the best paella in town. Good service. Staff was very nice and friendly. The restaurant was clean and bright. Good with kids, kid’s chair is available. Highly recommended.

REAL Spanish tapas restaurant. Amazing food and service. The meat and vegetarian tapas, especially the tortilla, are so delicious. The photos don’t show the full portion as we were so starving. :-) Totally recommend.”

The restaurant is not very busy. The interior design is very nice. The service is really good. The tapas is very nice and fresh. Defo one of the best tapas places I’ve been to. Must order dish are cerdo iberico, grilled octopus, croquettes and chorizo.

Absolutely tip top!! This place is a little gem!! Food is amazing. Staff are friendly.. and makes you feel like you are on holiday when you are in there, just warm and inviting. Tapas is 10/10. Great guys, keep up the good work! It’s definitely paying off.

Spanish food 6.5/10, croquetas cool inside, tortilla was ok and the mushrooms without any bread so it's impossible to eat. I had also a glass of Tempranillo 6/10. I believe there are better Spanish places around London, also the terrace was pretty dirty. At least The service was good. 3 tapas, a glass 125ml of red wine and a tiny bit of bread: 30.60£

We had a quick bite before the theatre. We didn't booked a table but we were welcome to seat at the counter. The red wine Habla de la Tierra together with Chorizo al vino were fantastic!! The service was friendly and quick. I left my lenses on the counter on that evening and they kept them safe until I picked them up 48h later. They are nice people and the food is great. I will come back for sure. Many thanks to Llerana's chef and Team.

Great food, full of flavour. We visited on a Sunday afternoon for a late lunch. Service was a little slow and tapas dishes came out very slowly, almost one at a time which is the only reason I haven't given Llerena 5 stars. Waiter was lovely though and even gave us some shots on the house to end our meal.

Very friendly staff. Very tasty food, especially "torta del casar" and "pluma iberica". Great place to enjoy a Spanish gastronomic experience. I will be back soon!!

We had a really lovely meal here on a Friday night. The food was solid, but the service really put it above and beyond. We had an amazing waiter from Albania. He was friendly, attentive, and helpful. We can’t wait to come back!

Genuinely one of the best quality Spanish restaurants in London. Authentic menu, high quality ingredients, and very reasonable prices. This place deserves to be packed very night!

Great service, delicious food so much so we ordered more of the same dish after. Would definitely return.

Don't normally leave reviews but this restaurant deserves a shout-out. Best meal I've ever had. A chef who shows his love and respect for ingredients and flavours through his dishes. Black rice - not the first I've tried, but by far the tastiest dish I've had.

My overall experience at Llerena was a good one. I have nothing bad to say about it. The croquettes are a must try! The service was prompt, the food affordable. I must admit they also make a mean espresso martini (even if it is a sin - to pair an espresso martini with tapas instead of wine). The decor time warped me back to the early 2000’s - I felt like I was reenacting a scene from About A Boy with Hugh Grant…Make of that what you will!

Food was good in general. However, portions were on the small side. The tabla mixta was disappointing for size with minuscule pieces of cheese included when comparing to price and other Spanish restaurants in London we’ve been to. Would possibly go back as food was tasty, but only if invited by someone else. Would not book myself.

Would be a lot better if service would improve. The woman behind the counter could do with a serious service/friendliness upgrade (and she cuts the jamon far too thick). The tomato toasted bread tastes super but comes way before anything else (so is soggy by the time you need it). Sherry lovely, normal jamon so-so, lovely Estrella beer, mixed mushrooms = dominated by champignons/button mushrooms, black rice with squid looks beautiful. Little outside area

Delicious food, portions are a bit small and the decor a bit basic however. The food tastes really nice though

Went on a Monday night & it was the first time I've seen Llerena fully booked all night (thanks to the Eat out to Help out scheme). Really happy small businesses like these are drawing people out - it's a lovely little tapas restaurant on Upper Street. Had the queso platter, gambas (prawns in garlic oil), tortilla & pan con tomate. All were tasty, though I'd pass on the cheese board the next time. Price is reasonable, nice wine selection, & good prompt service. Always a solid meal in Angel.

Food was average at best Jamon hand cut was done too thick Grilled squid was unfresh and you could tell by the soft texture I noticed from the kitchen the tortilla was not made fresh but was heated up in the microwave before serving Overall would not recommend

Ok place when you miss Spanish food however you need to target higher quality choices or you'll get disappointed. Waitress is nice and food on a wide range of quality from good to acceptable with in any case a high price tag.

Very good tapas resturant probably the best I've been to in London. Great food choice and very good wine. Nice warm service will be back

The food is tasty and the atmosphere is buzzy with a chic decor. It’s a bit overpriced for the amount of food you get. Appreciate that it’s tapas, but we didn’t feel completely satisfied and we’d spent over £100. Cocktails are £10+ each too 💸

We were in a group and in a slight hurry to get to a theatre so instead of taking time to individually order we just got 1 of every Tapas. Everything was delicious!

Enjoyed a really first class meal here. Not been before but will certainly return. Had 8 tapas dishes between 3 of us which was plenty. Particularly enjoyed the beetroot/spinach salad, patas bravas, and cod and potato. The house red was very good too.

Went here this week whilst staying at the local Premier Inn. Never had Spanish tapas before, and the waiter took time out to explain how it works and recommend some dishes. The food was extremely tasty, but I was a little bit underwhelmed by the portion sizes for the price (mind you this is London!), But couldn't fault the quality of the produce. Overall would recommend this place.

Food was so good! On the slightly pricier side but very worth it. Would totally recommend the paella, tortilla and the pork cheeks. Waiters were friendly, originally ordered two paella’s and only one came, to be fair, one was enough anyways so I didn’t bring it up - not an issue, and they did come to check if everything was ok anyways so I’m sure the issue would’ve been fixed if I had asked Bonus points for the baileys they gave at the end of the meal! Will be back :)

I’ve seen the reviews this place had that’s why I went, please AVOID IT AT ALL COST. Everything taste pretty much frozen with bunch of spices to cover it up but you can’t cover the texture. The service was decent, nothing special. However, the places looked not really taken care of, a bit dirty, a bit tired, I had to walk downstairs through a very narrow stairs to go to the middle of their tiny kitchen and store room to go to a toilet that meant to be a men toilet but looked pretty much like a hidden staff toilet. It was a gross. Won’t come back, just another tourist trap in London.
