This is a nice farm specially for kids to see many farm animals and birds like pigs , cow , sheep , goats , horses , etc. The farm entry is free and its mostly accessible♿. They also have a small but very nice cafe☕🧁🥪🥐 with lots of fresh food and beverages options. They even have kid friendly meals. There are toilets for all which are ♿ and have 🚼 changing stations in them. They also give donkey rides for kids for £3 on sundays. Check the events on the farm on their website. The staff is helpful.COVID measures are in place.😷 Its pet friendly too!🐈🐕

Such a nice place to visit. I went there because I love to be around animals. There are a number of animals to see (Giant pigs, types of chickens, ducks, geese, donkeys, lama, goats, sheep, peacock and two cows with a small calf. I was surprised why was the calf separated from the cows. Also, the peacocks have a really small space which I didn’t like. There are squirrels everywhere who came closer to us, searching for food (you can bring some food to feed them, although they were obese, never seen such squirrels 😳). Overall, it was a nice and peaceful visit which is free to enter.

Had a lovely walk around the farm, but both my daughter and I wondered about the lack of enough water for the ducks. Just a sort container of water not clean either. Not the right environment for mandarin ducks poor things. The bunnies should have some grass as well and maybe the birds? Could be better signage to things at the farm as well. But it was nice and great for kids. I'm not sure I'd visit again, though.

History of Mudchute The Mudchute Park & Farm was established by the local Island community. Originally a piece of derelict land created during the last century from the spoil of construction from dredging Millwall Dock. For decades, this hidden natural wilderness of flora and fauna remained untouched. However, in 1974 the site was earmarked by the Greater London Council for the construction of a high-rise estate. The resulting public campaign against these plans reflected the affection that local people and those working on the Island felt for The Mudchute. Their success secured it as the "People's Park" for the area. In 1977 the Mudchute Association was formed to preserve and develop the area. Farm animals and horses were introduced, trees and plants were planted by generous volunteers and corporate teams, and the educational benefits of the area were also recognised. Local schools were encouraged to use the project to study the natural world on their doorsteps. Since the establishment of the Association, The Mudchute has steadily built a reputation for providing a variety of educational and leisure activities on a London-wide basis. Strolling through memory lane... I haven't visited for more than 20 years. Mudchute Farm has grown to become an asset to the 'Isle of Dogs'. Recommend a visit.

A great selection of animals with easy access to feed and engage with. Unless you are looking for a whole day trip where a visit to a bigger farm/zoo might be warranted this is great, convenient and free!

This hidden gem in East London is a little peaceful heaven. Well-kept animals and surroundings and beautiful paths to walk through. It would be great to have more information about the animals and working sinks with soap.

Mudchute Park and Farm is an oasis in the city. It’s a total contrast to the concrete and steel towers of London’s Canary Wharf financial district just a stones throw away. It’s a great place to take a stroll or the bring the kids. There are lots of info panels and easy access to see all the pigs, chickens, cows, sheep and llamas! Well worth a visit if you’re in the area. Look out for a restored WW2 anti-aircraft gun too!

This farm was just wonderful, we could tell that it had animals that were well taken care of and had a loads of space. I’ve visited most of the city farms here in London and this one was by far my favourite - most other farms were squashed into a tight space, two of which had trains and trams constantly rumbling behind and none of them had the same tranquility as I found in this one. It had a nice and calm atmosphere and just didn’t feel like London. I would strongly recommend!

There’s a great variety of different animals to see and feed if you choose to buy bags of food. There’s great facilities for kids and lots of space for kids to run around. Highly recommend it and will happily be going back. The DLR stop is step free, so it’s easy to get to it’s not far from central London. Also entry is free which is great. There’s an option to give a donation, via tap pay which I thought was great and didn’t force payment.

Lovely farm, and it’s free! Dogs on leads are welcomed. You can buy a bag of feed for £1, and the animals (not the pigs) will greedily eat it from the palm of your hand. Younger children will love it, particularly toddlers

Nestled amidst Canary Wharf's urban landscape, Mudchute Farm offers a refreshing escape into nature. With its diverse array of animals—sheep, ducks, swans, horses, and friendly squirrels—it's a delightful oasis in the heart of the concrete jungle. The winding paths create a countryside ambiance, providing a unique contrast with occasional distant glimpses of towering buildings. Whether you seek a tranquil day out or a different running environment, Mudchute Farm is undoubtedly worth a visit, offering a charming blend of city and country vibes.

I have been living in London for almost 10 years now and since my son was born 3 years ago we have been visiting all sorts of farms around London. Who would have imaginged that the best of all farms was hidden in Canary Wharf! An absolute gem, a must visit especially if you have children. Plenty of animals to see and feed. Big spaces and there is also a cafe/restaurant to have a nice lunch (they have good prices too). Totally recommended

What a fantastic day to visit the park! Weather was wonderful we arrived at 9.30am a group of 7 of us mums and kids best time for our toddlers to really enjoy. Was able to see alot of the animals, huge farm most of the animals looked well kept. We paid £1 a bag for food for the animals (2 bags is more than enough) Cafe was alright, decent prices so can't complain. Unfortunately the petting corner wasn't opend but that gives us an excuse to come back. We spent about 4 hours there.

It’s a absolutely great park to go. It’s free parking around the park (sat) and it’s free entry. We donated a bit as we think it’s how this farm could sustain. There is a restaurant inside the park and lots of animals to see. We should only buy the food in the park to feed those goats. Please be careful of those squirrels as they are not afraid of human and I’ve seen they kind of attack a kid. Highly recommended farm

I was hesitant whether there would be anything good here. I'm glad i came. can recommend it. Firstly, it's free entry. Not sure about the parking situation. It's a very good place to bring kids for a wonder about. Many different kinds of animals. Rams. Goats, Pigs, Lamas, chickens. Donkeys. It's quite a large place, and each animal has their own enclosed grazing areas. I loved the goats' looks so fluffly.

Great place to take the kids. Today they had free donkey rides for kids. Donkey rides were great. Staff were amazing. Would definitely recommend during the holidays. Feeding animals are allowed once you purchased the feed from the main office.

It's amazing that something so special is free to visit and so close to central London! The animals are kept really well and there's lots of space to walk and wonder around. They're also very dog friendly and have a dedicated area for dog with a beautiful view of the canary wharf skyline. There's a small coffee shop on site with ok food.

This is a fantastic place for a fun family day out. We really enjoyed ourselves at the farm. There were lots of different animals including lambs, goats, cows, donkeys, chickens etc. You are also able to feed animals for £1. This is definitely a place worth visiting!

A really great free day out! You can spend a little money and get some animal feed to give to the friendly goats and pigs that enjoy them. Some animals look a bit worse for wear and not sure if that’s because they have been moved due to fighting or what ever but if it’s neglect then that’s disgusting. The cafe is a little expensive but they have a few options, just make sure to wash your hands! Recommended

Living nearby, it became my go-to spot, and I can’t believe I didn’t know about it earlier. This hidden gem boasts a variety of animals, from pigs and alpacas to sheep and cows, making it an ideal family destination. The best part? It’s free to enter! The park offers plenty of space for kids to play, and there’s a charming cafe on-site. Plus, the occasional market adds to the excitement, offering everything from fresh fish to unique clothing items. Surrounded by nature, it feels like a slice of the Cotswolds right in London. I highly recommend this park, especially for families with kids. It’s a truly amazing place to spend a sunny Saturday or Sunday. Don’t miss out! 😊

Absolutely lovely day with my son here. A good range of animals and we spent a good couple of hours at the farm as we also ate at their cafe which was quick and delicious with a good range of food for both adults and kids. The farm has baby change, toilets and you can buy feed for the animals which was a much loved activity.

Mudchute station is the closest DLR station. There are multiple buses as well. If you stop at ASDA, you can find the little path from behind the car park. A beautiful farm in all four seasons. You can buy food and feed the animals. Squirrels are everywhere here. The piggie area is quite stinky. All animals are friendly here. Sometimes there are activities around the cafe around. It is a very kids friendly place. Be careful if you are pregnant. You can also enjoy the view of Canary Wharf from the farm.

Lovely city farm with an array of animals (donkeys, llamas, goats, pigs, sheep, cows, ducks and more). You can pet the animals. There is a nice cafe where you can get coffee, cakes, or full meals. Also, it's all dog friendly (on lead). Definitely worth visiting.

Not many signs to get there once your at the farm, not good with baby's in prams or pushchairs, the terrain and surfaces not suitable plus there are stairs to deal with if you come from mudchute DLR station, would recommend people to enter the farm through Asda carpark that is right nextdoor to the farm, when you enter the carpark from the main entrance the path way is on the far left side of the carpark.

A fantastic place to bring the kids to, the farm has lots of animals and birds to easily keep the kids entertained for a few hours. There are Llamas, Long horned goats, Golden pheasant, Canaries, mandarin ducks, Ponies, guinea pigs, rabbits, sheeps, cows, different kinds of chickens, ducks, goats, etc. The children can get really close to the animals and pat them, and also feed them with pellets you can buy there, or the grass that grows there on the farm. There are also donkey rides for children on select dates and times. And once you have covered the huge area, you can relax at a good cafeteria serving breakfast, brunchs, snacks, icecream,

The kids enjoyed the farm a lot. Lots of animals and huge enclosures. A nice walk in a hot day under the trees. There's a ride at the cafe/kitchen and candy floss. The kitchen was full and outside tables as well. Can't comment on the food but the ice-cream and cakes were really nice and fresh.

Absolutely incredible place! I came to see the modern skyscrapers of Canary Wharf and found myself in a mixture of a zoo and animal farm. Although I am not a fan of watching animals in captivity, I could not avoid noticing that Mudchute residents are in good care and look truly fussed over. However, the most amazing thing is the location - an animal farm is the last thing one expects in the center of global investment business and cutting edge office life. Definitely worth of a visit to make one’s picture of London more full and diverse.

Amazing little farm in the middle of the city. Perfect for a walk and you can take dogs too. The piglets were a huge hit with the kids. Only downside was the rudeness of the staff in the cafe. We had to wait an hour for food which didn't matter too much as our children were entertained looking at the baby chick's. When the food arrived it was nice. They ran out of ice cream which was frustrating in the heat of summer!

Gorgeous place with beautiful animals. I didn't get to see the whole place since I was late but it was still worth the visit. No entry fee. Don't forget to take peanuts along, the squirrels are so friendly they will take them off of your hands.

Our favorite farm. My 3 year old twins love to come here and feed the little goats. They did not get such crazy pleasure even in the London zoo.
