This dog is showing you this is the best place in the world. Not only is it in Brixton, it’s also run by caring lovely and interesting people. The coffee speaks for its self, it must be good, check out the dog smiling, happy owner = happy dog!

A welcoming and trendy feeling coffee shop. Staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive. Being a fairly small coffee shop there is limited table space, staff quickly realised we were struggling to find space for our party of 5 and very politely asked two solo coffee drinkers if they wouldn't mind sharing one table, thereby allowing us to sit down. This felt above and beyond the usual call of duty, which we were very greatful for. Excellent coffees and freshly prepared sandwiches. The only downside was the speed at which the food and drinks came out, although we were in no rush, so not a problem on this occasion.

My absolute favorite local coffee place! The staff are all so incredibly lovely and make you feel like a regular no matter how many times you’ve been. The coffee is also super delish and their Reuben sandwiches are to DIE for. Beware it’s Brixton’s worst kept secret so it gets busy, but such a great place to work from or pop in for a break from the hustle and bustle of the high street

Great Stout cake. Good sausage roll but pastry bit limp. Cappuccino was pretty flat and weak. Batch filter was fine but hardly memorable

Super friendly staff, always busy but told how long a wait there is which is great. Not surprising they are so busy, as the coffee is delish :)

I passed by the place so many times before and it always looked packed. Today, I finally managed to visit it for the first time and it's oh soo very lovely. Great service, absolutely amazing coffee and great sandwiches. Easy 5 ⭐s.

This is not just a coffee place. It's your recharge station on a hectic Monday morning; it's your cozy office on a drizzly Friday; it's where friends old and new come to relax, unwind, and reconnect; it's where life stories are shared, and new stories written; it's your local employment agency, matchmaking service, and language school. This is not just a coffee place. It's what life is on this side of Brixton.

When an coffee shop won’t go larger than an 8oz serving you know they care about their coffee :) A shabby chic styled cafe with a friendly laidback atmosphere that is obviously very popular with a loyal local following. Great range of coffees to buy mainly from the Mission Coffee works. The milk is, Estate Dairy and created specifically for baristas - It’s delicious 😋 The main expresso roast I tried was full bodied, smooth and full of chocolate notes. There’s a range of tasty cakes on offer and I tried one of the artisan sandwiches - the haloumi and guacamole bun which toasted was delicious. Prices are good for London and there’s plenty of seating including some quirky old church pews.

Very nice coffee from Assembly. Small place, clean toilet, very good wifi. You will find good quality beer 🍺. Latte cost £ 2.70. Friendly people, clean tables with nice flowers 🌺. You will find all kind spoons inside.

This is my first visit to Stir Coffee, and it won’t be my last. From the moment you step across the threshold, you know you’ve arrived at a great cafe - the vibe pulls you in. The music. The decor. The great smell of high quality coffee. The selection of food. The staff. I ordered the Parma ham sandwich- rosemary focaccia bread, pesto, rocket, cheese, tomato, Parma ham. Utterly delicious. I ate it so fast, my camera’s shutter wasn’t fast enough to capture the sandwich before I devoured it. So, I went up to the counter and snapped a picture of one of the sandwiches in the case.

I wanted to try out Stir Coffee as I was in the area and saw good reviews for it. Unfortunately it didn’t live up to the reviews for me. The staff seemed friendly enough, but were busy making coffee with no direct eye contact when asking for the order. I ordered a cappuccino with oat milk to have in. They got me a latte with milk. They were however quick to correct it, and got me a cappuccino within a few minutes. The cappuccino lacked any bite and all I tasted was milk. It was luke warm. The person sat next to me ordered the same (cappuccino) and had nice latte art on his coffee, mine was just froth on top, which made me question, if they actually changed my order. The atmosphere was great. Lots of tables to work on, people happy to share tables and free WiFi. The background music was great and very enjoyable. I didn’t feel rushed to leave by staff when I finished my coffee. I was greeted with a ‘Thanks and Bye’ when I left, which was also nice. Perhaps, I will order a drip/pour over next time, but unfortunately on this occasion the coffee did not live up to the atmosphere in the cafe.

Very nice place to have a coffee with friends. We also saw people working there while having a relaxing coffee. Enough tables to sit inside and also tables outside. People who works there very friendly and professional. They also recommend us a great public house to have a beer at night. I felt really comfortable.

A lovely friendly coffee shop that served excellent coffee through a hatch in the front door throughout covid-19 lock-down. An absolute lifesaver! They remember our order and everything. Highly recommended.

Lovely coffee shop! The coffee is amazing- the best in Brixton. They also have matcha lattes which are exquisite. Great atmosphere. Perfect for a meetup with a friend or working in a cafe for the day.

Absolutely love Stir - amazing coffee, grub and of course SUCH fab staff. Chats with Anton, Kat & Seb in particular are such welcome additions to our week and over the pandemic they’ve been especially brilliant, with Anton even giving us treats on the house alongside our coffees… including ones for our little pooch! It doesn’t get much better than this place. 👍 🤩

Nice place with a bacis décor and a homely feel. The staff are super friendly and very helpful. Has a very strong lefty vibe, which may not be to everyone's taste. But it's a very cool place, if that's your territory.

Amazing spot, really friendly & welcoming - dogs & children are positively encouraged. Top choice of drinks & snacks - the vegan roll is just amazingly tasty. I'd choose this place over a multiple any day.

Amazing coffee and the friendliest and coolest staff . Always a great vibe for me, my friends and most importantly, my dog.

Decent coffee. Nice space. Bit stressful ordering. There were loads of folks scattered randomly around -- some sitting, some standing, some meandering around. Turned out literally everyone was waiting for takeaway coffee. It was like playing the game of "keep track of who was here before me" on hard mode. Would love it if they made it easier to know when you're up.

This has always been the best local gem! In fact, we moved away from Brixton and still travel to Stir coffee shop every other week to have their coffee. The quality of coffee is THE best, sometimes we go back again for a second one. The cakes and sandwiches are very fresh and tasty. Staffs are very friendly and funny! If you are in the area and not making a trip to this coffee shop, you are missing out!

Great coffee, great staff, great snack and pastry selection, great atmosphere, great dogs. I only wish they were open a little later, but then I'd be a bankrupt little cinnamon roll.

Great coffee and banana and walnut cake yesterday morning en route to another busy day working in Brockwell Park. Standout excellent service too from the female servers. They must keep people coming back. x
