The club quarters is more of an extended stay hotel so you won’t see some of the hotel amenities that you would at some other hotels, but if you are traveling for business or trying to keep luggage costs down it is great. There is a laundry machine you can use for no charge. The business suite is amazing with a great cappuccino machine. I wouldn’t have needed to bring my laptop. The hotel itself is beautiful, and the location is top notch! Easy walking or any public transport. The rooms are large for this part of London, but the biggest bed is a Queen. Bed was not very comfortable, and the room had a strange smell. The bathtub was deep and great for soaking. Maybe it was available in request, but there was not any dish soap in the kitchen. Kitchen appliances were all in good working order. I was unable to connect my tv to my smart phone or my laptop for streaming. This was a bit frustrating as in the evenings I like to relax and watch a bit before turning in. Rooms were very quiet, and the front desk staff attended to all of my needs promptly and courteously. I was here during covid times, and this was an apartment hotel so they only cleaned one time per stay, and this was by appointment. The cleaning staff did throw a box of toiletries that I had on a shelf near the trash bin away so maybe be careful to where things are stored. I would have loved to stay again on my next trip, but this was booked for months.

Club quarters hotel has a wonderful location right off Trafalgar square and is ideal for tourists to London like my wife and I. The staff has been very friendly and check in was a breeze. The hotel itself was built around 1986, modeled after the earlier version. That was demolished when it was about 100 years old. The windows are good double or triple pane windows so the sound from outside is not objectionable at all. The 12 or 15 ft ceilings are nice. The lobby is beautifully done in marble, and guests in the club quarters part of the hotel have access to a very nice club room with seating and coffee and hot cocoa.

Last night we had to evacuate the hotel at 1am due to a fire alarm. Annoying, but it happens. The problem was that no one gave any information about the situation to a tired guest population in the lobby, no one seemed to know what was going on, there was a serious lack or staff training for a crucial event. If there had actually been an issue, I would have had serious concerns for my safety. It was handled so poorly it should probably be reported to whatever relevant authority is responsible for oversight. Upon returning to our room on our own accord, having lacked any instruction from staff, the alarm briefly went off again at 2am, waking everyone up again. The following morning the new staff appeared unaware of the event and uninterested in guest feedback. On top of that the rooms are old, outdated and dark, as many other guests have already commented on. I will not stay with the chain again.

My wife and I stayed here for a week on a recent trip and we would stay here again. It is located in a wonderful place if you are in town to see the theater. The neighborhood is abundant with great little pubs and restaurants. It is a short walk to Westminster Abbey, Big Ben and Piccadilly Circus. The hotel is quiet and clean. The staff was friendly.

My wife and I booked this hotel as it is very close to the Adelphi Theatre where we had booked to see Back to the Future. Room was comfortable and clean with plenty if toiletries for the shower etc. Bed was a bit in the soft side but we do prefer a firm bed. Breakfast was included which was excellent with a good selection of pastries, cereal, bread and cooked breakfast options. Staff were friendly and helpful. All public areas were clean and well maintained. Would recommend

Great location and a proper layout for the room. Easy to fit two people and their things, which is apparently not a given on this side of the pond. Check in was quick and friendly thanks to Salman. He got our honeymoon off to a great start after a long flight. I'll recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place in London

Came here for a work function. The lobby and entrance are beautiful and impressive. The location is fantastic. The staff helpful and polite. The drink prices are eye watering, £16 for a double Bells whiskey! A Bells! The rooms though, are distinctly average. At almost £500/night I was a little underwhelmed, stayed in far better for far less. You are most certainly paying for the location above everything.

Great location. Rooms distinctly average but fine if you’re not planning to spend a lot of time in them. Beds awfully soft as are the pillows - not a comfy sleep. Couldn’t get the TV to work for quite a while. Bathroom basic with basic amenities. Aircon was brilliant though as was the genius water stations in the hallways.

Excellent location in a classic building. The staff are especially good. I arrived unwell and the staff quickly arranged an early check-in to enable me to lie down, rest and to get well as soon as possible. That 24 hours of rest was instrumental in my recovery. Special shout-out to Salman, who was especially kind with helping the situation. I recommend this hotel team very highly.

Chose this hotel for location to attend a function nearby so understandably not cheap. I am sceptical when it comes to London hotels based on some pretty poor experiences in the past but no problems here. Slightly disappointing not to be able to access room before 3pm despite a request but this was offset by use of a quiet comfortable lounge with complimentary hot drinks (or water). Upstairs passages a bit drab but all perfectly clean. Rooms more functional than stylish but were spotless. The room we had was small with only a view over rooftops but comfortable enough and plenty of natural light. Didn't eat here but the restaurant looked good. Reception area tucked away to one side though the staff were courteous and welcoming. Other welcome (functional) touches included drinking water machines and reusable bottles. Good security features in rooms and lift access. I'd certainly recommend this hotel.

Fantastic room and great staff. The hotel is right in the heart of london with plenty around to see and do. It is an ideal spot to stop off of going on a theatre trip with so many with ten minutes walk. The only thing I would like to see improved would be the hot drinks selection. Which seemed very basic compared to the quality of the rest of the hotel. The ice machine and filtered drinking water on each floor was a really nice touch.

Phantastic and very central location, quite spacious rooms with comfortable beds, very friendly staff. However, the setup with several hotels in one building is a bit strange and the rooms are a tad outdated. Having no room cleaning service (unless explicitly asked for) seems like a cheap way of reducing cost (and quality) in "past-pandemic" times.

Great hotel in London. Staff did everything they could to help you with any issue and were super approachable and friendly. The location is fantastic and little things like the club room, free laundry access and free filtered water make this a great value place to stay. Rooms are small and a little old fashioned but it's an old building so can't expect something super modern. Shower water pressure could be improved and the bed sunk in the middle. Overall it was a great place to stay for 3 nights during our London stopover.

Perfect location for a London trip! The hotel’s style is historic and beautiful. I’ve been to other Club Quarters hotels in Philadelphia and New York and I’ll keep going because all have decent size rooms, water bottles for the guests to fill in every floor, a cute common space with coffee and tea and their service is always great

My only regret was that I could stay just one night. My room was clean and spacious, and the bed and pillows were the most comfortable I have ever had. As for the location, say no more than Trafalgar Square. Thank you also to the friendly and attentive staff.

Well appointed and wonderful location! Staff was helpful when I wanted to drop my bags off early before my room was ready. The room was comfortable and the hotel easy to navigate. Highly recommend for the perfect stay in London!

Excellent hotel!!! Very close to all the sights of the city!!! It is next to Trafalgar Square!!! The room was very big and clean!!! There is an iron and hair dryer in the room and a coffee shop to make coffee or tea. With a great view of the city!!! On each floor there is a machine with water and bottles to fill up. The staff were always smiling and very helpful! !! Many thanks to Salman at the reception who helped us with everything!!! The breakfast was very good!!! After check out we left the luggage at the hotel and they gave us a card to access the hotel lobby which has free coffee, water and hot chocolate until the time of departure. EXCELLENT HOTEL!!!

My experience with this hotel started off positive, as we got upgraded to a Suite without even asking, and I worked for a few hours from their relatively nice Business Lounge while I waited for my room to be readied. However, in the middle of the night, the fire alarm went off and when frenzied guests arrived in the lobby awaiting instructions, there was sadly no information or instructions given. The staff seemed strangely tight lipped about what was going on and were seemingly avoiding any questions. When we returned to our rooms after collectively deciding we had waited long enough without any information, the alarm went off again about 45 minutes later. Everyone's nights were destroyed, and the next morning the staff seemed uninterested in even receiving any feedback about the handling of the situation, let alone offering any compensation or token of apology. I will not stay with this chain again.

Excellent location, but that's about it. Tiny, poorly laid out rooms. Not very clean (previous guests' trash on the desk when we moved in, moldy bathrooms due to no ventilation). Bathroom door does not stay open, which is an even bigger problem due to the lack of ventilation for shower steam. The beautiful lobby is a misleading facade for a dumpy hotel once you get into your room.

Lovely and friendly staff and our second visit to this Trafalgar Square hotel. Clean and comfy and going back again later this month.

Staff are great, one in particular was Maria at check-in, she couldn’t do any more for us and made sure we had a great stay! Rooms are big and done really nicely, couldn’t fault anything, was very clean as well. The hotel is in a perfect area for bars & restaurants, can’t fault the price either for a nights stay in London in this area! We will definitely be coming back again.

Friendly staff, nice clean room with good facilities and a great location. Would've been 5 stars but no parking, no bar (at time of visit anyway) and the self checkout system didn't work so it was a slow check in.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel it was clean and they had nice amenities for the guests especially if you were there waiting for your room to be available. Service was amazing too and I loved the water system!!

We have stayed here before and its as good as every. A little slow with their handling of the covid restrictions, level of service. But, I suppose better safe than sorry

Great stay in the heart of London! Rooms are clean, well equipped with all the basic needs, and comfortable. A lot of attention for COVID details. The staff is extremely friendly! Daliah asked us a few times I'd we are happy and if anything can be better. Would definitely stay here again!

Great location, and breakfast. But let down by everything else. The room was dusty and towels were stained, the cups for hot beverages were also stained. The furniture was very tired and had the vinyl coming of of it. The fire door(main door) had massive gaps in it and would not meet the frame so wouldn’t hold a fire back and light shined though from the corridor. Staff at front desk never ask how stay was as I think they already knew.

Just excellence. Great rooms & service. Good cocktails & members lounge facilities. Excellent breakfast though the provision of hot drinks for breakfast needs improvement in speed and quality.

Unfortunately we had less than a pleasant stay here however I will say that when I filled out the survey I was contacted within 24 hours by the hotel staff wanting more info on my stay. I was impressed by this. The hotel is beautiful, in a great location, but the front desk staff is less than welcoming. I’ve stayed at a lot of hotels before and I’ve never had an issue. They were rude, unhelpful, and unwelcoming. It left a horrible impression. We were not the only people we saw being treated like this. Thankfully the hotel offered to make this right, which I very much appreciate. And I hope they have a conversation with the front desk staff on hospitality.

Perfect location with a walking distance to famous shops and restaurants. The bedroom size is good and it is air conditioned, no fridge but you have access to complementary cold water and ice. That was a game changer especially with kids. The staff were friendly and welcoming. It would be better to have chairs in the reception. Highly recommended and will visit again.

I would not recommend anyone stay at this hotel unless you have extra money you want to waste. The rooms are extremely tiny and dark and it feels more like you’re in a basement or closet than a hotel room. The service is subpar, almost impossible to request service or late checkout. Upon arrival, be prepared to carry your luggage yourself. Only 2 small elevators and randomly placed stairs. Only pro to this hotel is the location, if that matters that much to you.

Excellently refurbished, previously MOD offices (requisitioned hotel from WW2 times). Now returned to its former glory, fitted out to midern standards. A lot of the original features, marble columns and architectural walls, have been opened up (they were boxed in during its MOD office times, when I worked there part-time in the 1990s). Excellent location close to Trafalgar Square at the top of Northumberland Avenue.

From pre arrival to day of departure was fantastic. Welcomed by reception by a lovely gentleman who checked my booking and details everything we requested was taken care of, our room wasn't ready but luggage can be stored ( it was 9am we didn't expect our room to be ready). 1 of the lifts was out of action and a queue had formed the team on reception apologised to all, and offered guests rooms on lower floors, offered the lounge to sit and wait, really great customer service!. So we stayed on 9th floor, the room.had a view of horse guards, Buckingham Palace Westminster, London Eye. The room was a great size, extremely clean well maintained, so important a comfy bed and the feather pillows I requested. A microwave and fridge, large TV and lounge chair. The room was quiet. We could not of chosen better at this price point.

We are staying now at the hotel and we love it. The beds are very comfortable, the staff is amazing 👏 and the location is superb 👌. There is a beautiful club with all kind of hot drinks, fireplace, different sitting areas. Just beautiful 😍

Nalin at the front desk went out of his way to ensure we were happy and liked our room. We appreciate his excellent customer service. He genuinely cared about our experience. He always asked us if there was anything he could do to help. Five stars!

Good location but … strange policy of not cleaning the rooms, which we found very original. We had to ask them to clean but they still didn’t . At the rate we paid breakfast should have been included. We paid about £180 per night and that did not include cleaning or breakfast. Staff friendly but not very focused on making the customer happy.

Worst hotel experience in a long time… Before we booked, all the pictures and everything on their webpage looked amazing. Once we arrived there…. It was anything but good. It’s classed as a 4 star hotel, nothing about it was 4 star… Tiny rooms, bathroom was dirty and from the 70s or something… No room service, they haven’t cleaned our room once on a 4 day stay?? A joke to be honest. Before we arrived I tried to call them 4-5 times to tell them we are late check in, no answer. The only positive thing is the location. That’s about it. I am no hater and I almost never complain or write something about my stays… but this was definitely the worst hotel experience by far ( I travel 200 days a year ) Don’t book here unless you can’t find anything else. Take care M

Jake at the front desk was so lovely and helpful to two flustered tourists, and went out of his way to ensure our comfort. Being greeted by such a warm and friendly face makes all the difference, and we were so grateful to him for his superior customer service.

A great central location. Room was nice and clean although it lacked the cutlery and crockery which was supposed to be in the kitchenette. The queen bed was comfy but the sofa bed was not and we had to ask for an additional mattress. The TV was temperamental. Having said that we would stay here again.

I am very disappointed in my recent stay. The hotel has a great location and lobby but that’s about it. Our room was average - and I cannot overstate exactly how average it was. It was more or less clean, emphasis on the less, as it smelled like wet dog the whole time so we had to keep the window open for the duration of our stay. There were also quite a few unidentifiable stains on the carpeting. Don’t be fooled by the complimentary laundry room - it is ONE WASHER and ONE DRYER for the ENTIRE HOTEL. The day before my departure I went to do laundry - checked the room on my way up and it was empty - and then grabbed my clothes just to come back to find it occupied. Ok, whatever, but then, somehow, there were two people ahead of me in line for the washer and dryer. The first person moved their stuff to the dryer and put it to express. After leaving, the timer on the dryer updated to let us know it would be done in 2.5 hours. 2.5 hours for a dryer??? Which, when all is said and done, meant that it would be ~6 hours before I could dry my clothes, and because I didn’t really want to bring clean but soggy stuff back with me, I had no choice but to continue my trip with dirty clothes. I asked the front desk if they could help and they offered me their same day laundry service for a fee - when I went to take them up on it since I was leaving the next morning, they then told me that actually that wouldn’t work in my scenario because the only collection is in the morning. So much for “same day.” I’m not sure why they even told me that if it wasn’t an option (the staff were already aware of my predicament beforehand). This wasn’t the only issue I had with the staff. Earlier in my trip I asked for a concierge for help booking tickets to a performance at St Martins nearby. All the person did was google the name of the performance and click on the link and tell me it was sold out. Like, yeah, I know, that’s why I asked you (in the past, my London concierges have known of last minute ticket sale sites, or had connections, so I assumed that would be true again here at a “4 star hotel.”) Come to find out there were still tickets available via the box office, and I only found out because I went there myself! How can a luxury hotel a block away seriously not know this? If I had listened to him I would’ve been SOL. All around, a fine hotel if you’re in need, and excellent location, but the rest of it is average in my opinion. You can find much nicer for similar prices maybe a bit further from the city center.
