Great entertainment venue with one of the best views of London. Definitely worth a visit in Spring & Summer when the gardens are in full bloom. Best to travel by public transport or taxi. Parking is free with a suggested donation, but spaces can fill up fast, street parking has been suspended, hopefully that changes soon.

Alexandra palace is an amazing venue, I absolutely love the architecture and coming from South east Asia it's wonderful to see it being looked after so well. The interior decor harks back to an age where people designed grand buildings and made sure the interiors matched the grand exterior. I came here for a vintage fair and wasn't disappointed I walked around for hours inspecting the stalls which had so many many things for sale but due to a limited budget and space constraints I decided to get a few tie clips and a lobster brooch for my cap or coat. They have food here and a pub on site which is a plus. I do love this venue as it is such a beautiful building. The only thing missing is a period accurate toilet. The security was good here and staff friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed my visit and it's a short bus ride from wood green station or walk. I highly recommend this venue. Went here for the bonfire fireworks. It’s was very muddy because of the rain so better wear boots or old shoes, it will definitely get very dirty if the weather is bad. The view of fireworks is very good and not too crowded, so you can still find a good place to see it. Nice experience, will love to go again and enjoy the entertainments and food stands. Finger crossed for a sunny day next year!

Excellent! Be ready for uphill and downhill walks. Superb in summer. Georgeous sweeping views of London from the top. Has a cafe and restaurant on site and plenty of pay-and-park spaces (used to be free!). Can visit the ice rink and, if you are around, watch the fire works in early November - beautiful! Worth watching!

Fantastic place. The arrival of spring makes its views more impressive, towards its huge and beautiful Ally Pally park and even Central London. There are plenty of options for entertainment, as well as food and drink. A stop at Phoenix Bar & Kitchen on the first hottest day, enjoying the pleasant atmosphere. Parking is £3.

Ally Pally as it is affectionately known is a really good entertainment venue. We have seen bands in the main hall and recently a festival in the grounds which we have always really enjoyed. The place is historic and has a good atmosphere. It is not as easy to get to as many other venues. There is a railway station close by but the nearest tubes are a good walk away. Another thing to bear in mind is it is on the top of a big hill so be prepared for a climb to get there. The views across London are really good though. One of our favourite venues.

Great views from here. They have a paid car park with quite few spaces and also a bus top right outside. Ice rink, theatre and much more to do. The views are awesome as you can see London in the distance.

Great venue. Not too over priced, pretty standard for London really. Good sized venue and great eating/drinking area outside the main area and a good cloak room!

Visited Ally Pally for Suede in concert. Car park is only £3, well directed in then up the hill to the venue so not ideal for wheelchairs. Don’t expect to leave in a hurry as car park gets a bit gridlocked. The venue is so spacious, a good food and beer hall and the auditorium is cavernous. Sometimes big spaces suffer with poor sound echo but not where we stood, next to the sound desks. Superb sound and vision. I’ve been before for model exhibitions and I’ve always enjoyed the space it provides.

One of the easiest theatre experiences we have ever had! LOTS of parking at a very reasonable price. Coffee shops, bar and snacks available. Saw A Christmas Carol, and it was truly brilliant. Would highly recommend. Just 2 points... not many toilets, and it wasn't very warm in there. But this didn't spoil our experience at all.

I visited for the snooker. Overall it was an excellent experience. It's a lovely old huge building in great location with really helpful friendly staff. I recommend the pizza in the on-site Phoenix pub. Very slick operation in there to get everyone served during the intervals. I'm docking a star because for a 'palace' the seats were quite uncomfortable. The bases are very hard with minimal padding. The back is hard and flexes and cups and squashes the lower back under the ribs. Not good for two days sitting down. Next time I would definitely take two cushions - one for the seat and one for my back.

Lovely place to visit. A nice park to walk around and a nice venue with fascinating artwork and history to discover. The architecture of the building is beautiful. The inside is full of things to discover with food and drink places to make your taste buds dance with delight. Fantastic views of London's skyline can be seen in the distance. Great for taking photos and hanging out with friends or family. Parking was reasonable and easy to pay for. If you have never been, give Alexandra Palace a chance. Ally Pally here you come.

As an outdoor venue it is very large and spacious. They employ a table QR code reader which takes you to their website for ordering food and drink. However you should download the Food and Drink App prior to your visit as this will speed up the ordering process. You pay for your order online and your order is brought to your table by the bar staff. We had some issues with some of our orders not being delivered but the bar staff eventually resolved the issue but this delay cut into our 2 hour table time. We were not given any extra time back which I found very disappointing. The drinks menu is very limited and unfortunately the cocktails were very small and not very good at all. We left rather disappointed in the whole experience. The view over the City of London from the Terrace is very good and is worth a visit to Alexandra Palace alone.

Great spot to view the London city skyline. Easy access to parking. Nice walks around the palace. The palace itself was really nicely renovated for an ice rink and other amenities. Grab a pizza or sandwiches and have a great picnic with some fresh air and wonderful views.

Went to watch the Gruffalo show- was a lovely show went with 4 year old twins. They loved it. We walked around a bit and had a lovely time outside in the play park area and then booked to go ice skating. They provide aids for little children however I do feel as an inexperienced ice skater myself even though the kiddos had their aids the ice is way too slippery for little ones even as an adult to balance on the really hard ice skates they provide for both adults and children they literally hurt to be in even for 10 minutes. Luckily there was a lovely young lady in the court Zara I think her name was and she gave me an option to push the girls on a sitting dolphin while she skated around the court a few times making our booking worthwhile. I was very grateful as I was happy to leave as I went despite having had an op on my neck the week before and I was too frightened to go around with the girls incase I dropped and opened my recent scar. After skating we went and ventured around the beautiful gardens. We will come again to have a lovely picnic on the grounds again with maybe some ball games and make better use of the sandpit with the right gear for the kids in the playground. We did all this on one day and the car parking was ample- free if you want but a suggested donation of £3 is what I was happy to part with ensuring the car was safe for the whole day.

Alexandra Palace and Park is such a lovely place to rest with a nice view as well. The Park is massive and has unexpected trails around. There are easy route accesses via the bus back to tube stations such as Wood Green.

A great place to go with friends, family or children. Lots of spaces to play, take in the great views of London or if you like just to sit back and relax and watch the world buzz away whilst you observe from the distance. There is alsp a lake where you can hire a paddle boat and paddle for 30mins and soak up the great atmosphere.

We saw Dermot Kennedy love and the show was amazing. The venue was nice and big and easy to access. There were lots of food options, alternate entertainment and plenty of bars. We never had to wait for a drink for too long and the staff were super friendly. A wide variety of drinks, beers and ciders is available. The large venue easily accommodated all the people. There were no pinch points where the crowd could make you feel trapped. Getting in and out was quick too, with tickets and covid passes being checked. The sound was good as well as the lighting. We are looking forward to the next concert hosted there!

If you want to walk or just quietly enjoy a good view of London, this is the perfect place.. Alexandra park has good facilities for both adults and children. There is a cafe there and you can rent out boat and Have fun. There is also go Ape but you will need to buy tickets for that. The park is decent.

Great venue with lots of things to do. Food and drink are available, too. Buses run from Wood Green to the venue, but it's a decent walk also. We attended a concert here and the main hall operates a one-way system. Very well-organised and safe.

There is no better venue to host the OM Yoga Show in London! The historic building provides a beautiful and welcoming atmosphere. I cycled from Greenwich to Alexandra Palace and got rewarded with a spectacular view of London. The venue itself is spacious enough to host multiple events simultaneously. I recommend visiting Alexandra Palace, it's a treasure in London.

"Treason The Musical" is EXCEPTIONAL. I loved every moment of it and though it's pitched as the UK's Hamilton { some costumes, raps and dance movements were similar} I actually loved it more. . . I may even see it again The vocals were exceptional as was the scenery, story and being in the Alexandra Palace theatre which is like a larger version of the bohemian chic of Wilton Music Hall, added hugely to the atmosphere and made it even more special. I would say that the high ceiling and sheer volume of the theatre is large so the second half I had my jacket on as it felt chilly so I'd recommend wearing layers if you feel the cold. The stall seats are not joined and they gave a lot of leg room and space between rows, the tiered static seats also looked roomy. Very modern foyer bar areas and ladies toilets were clean, modern and plentiful. I do think the signage along the outside of building could be much better (I was seated next to someone who missed the first song because the signage was so poor he and his friends couldn't find the entrance) so they really need to improve that. I got instructions from one of the maintenance workers at the far side of the building. Wood Green {Piccadilly Line} is the nearest tube station, exit right and you'll see the a W3 from bus stop A on the opposite then adjacent side of the road. It's about 6 stops but get off at Alexandra Palace Ice Rink walk through car park and you're there. I took the advice of a fellow bus passenger and alighted at the stop after the Ice Rink and had to walk all the way back and around the building though I did enjoy the artworks, 150 year celebrations and the views as photographed I was lucky to be so early and not rushed Date of experience: 9 November 2023

It's a great place to hang out. Fantastic view! Lovely events throughout the year with nice food and drinks. You can simply enjoy on the grass or indulge in the wonderful view from the bench near the Palace. The bus stop is right in front of the entrance. Alexander Palace Station is only a few minutes away, so it's all very convenient for anyone at any age.

Lovely place, with a multitude of great facilities. I’ve skating was brilliant there, and watching the hockey games there is also very exciting. The shows and displays that they put on in the main hall are also usually great, and cover a wide variety of topics. I remember a very good model show there a few years ago. Finally, the architecture of the palace itself, the surrounding park, and the views from the palace are all great.

A great might at the Sleaford Mods concert at the start of December. No queues or problems getting into the great hall, although myself and my friend were pulled aside for a thorough body search. The beer choices are limited and expensive, but there is a craft beer stall, which has more choice. The viewing of the band was very good, and the sound system was excellent. It was a little cold inside too. The coat room staff were very friendly and myself and a bunch of mates all had a great time.

"The admission cost for Alexandra Palace Darts Competition might be a bit steep for some, but the expansive venue, diverse drink options, and overall cleanliness create an upscale atmosphere. Consider planning ahead to fully enjoy this unique and memorable competition."

The Palace is located on a steep hill. If you're going from the Ally Pally station, be prepared to work out. The opposite side seems easier to travel. It has a cafe with a bar and an expensive cafe. Free toilets.Nice place. You can see the London skyline from there.

The views are breathtaking over London. A slight head scratched on what to do with this place. The hall are used for evens, an ice rink, Go ape and a pleasant pond with cafe. However slightly sad that this landmark of North London is not used and enjoyed more. It needs more life breathed into it, it's worth the journey up the hill.

Parking in the on site car parks was easy on a day of strike action by the railways. Fantastic setting, perched on top a hill overlooking London. Concert for Greta Van Fleet was sold out so large queue formed by the time of our arrival. Stewards/security moved people from further back in the queue forward, widening the queue but lessen its length but that meant arriving later could work in your favour and those that had stood there nearer the front suddenly had people getting in before them. There were a variety of food outlets inside but expect to pay £8/£9 for a burger or box of noodles. There was one merchandise stall and it had the longest slow moving line of prospective buyers I've ever seen at a concert. As the queue was taking up so much room in the middle of the area it was in the Stewards moves it. They chose a cut off point and sent those beyond to form the line at 90 degrees to the original. Unfortunately with the unorganised way they did it , it once again those nearer the front of the cut off point didn't necessarily keep their place. Even then people joined the original queue! The concert hall itself is very large but it carries the sound well so acoustically the band came across very well. Certainly won't go down as my favourite venue and if you go be prepared to queue!

  • 5/5 Mike L. 2 years ago on Google
What a special venue this is. The atmosphere at gigs is just electric. If your favourite band or artist is playing here then it is well worth travelling to see them. Obviously a great location, a wonderful setting, with a lot of history. Gutted I’ve never played at the rink!

Went to Alexandra Palace for the first time and was very impressed with the easy parking and helpful staff. The theatre itself was very impressive and great to see most of its interior was still as it was originally designed. In the foyer there was lots of interesting facts about the Palace and people who performed there.

Attended the Ally Pally fireworks for the first time and absolutely loved the experience. Every little thing was perfectly organised by the team. Also, Ally Pally probably has the best views of London at night. Would 10/10 recommend going there.

A great live music venue! Been to the gig bit and also saw a musical here and both were great. Big gigs have lots of food vendors inside and outside the venue. Only downside is walking up the hill to get there! 10 min walk from Wood Green station (Piccadilly line)

Came to see The Prodigy and have been here to see other bands. I really love this venue for Rock/Pop concerts as it's the right balance of size, space and intimacy for a 50 something to choose how close to the action they want to get...which is usually pretty close. Will always look out for acts playing here

We couldn't go in as it was the Darts World Championship, but the view was fantastic; I am planning to go back when the weather gets better and go for a walk in the park and explore the building.

A lovely view from the top! We went to watch the ice hockey, however we weren’t told that there wasn’t enough seats for everyone with tickets so we ended up standing around the edge. Still a good experience, but it would have been useful to know that in advance. Food was also very average, loaded fries tasted a day old and hotdog was just okay. Fun to watch the match and see the beautiful palace though :)
