VFM especially the breakfast. Bathroom was un-ergonomic. Toilet suite so low would be appropriate for an infant and not for an adult. Shower was not a jet shower as described on website, but a temperamental over head fixed shower which operated at medium / low pressure. . We do not usually have breakfast in hotels when staying over in London as there are so many good coffee houses. We paid over £300+ for B and B in a prestige deluxe twin room as we had had a positive breakfast experience at the H10 Hotel near Waterloo. Only to be told at breakfast you could have one item only from the menu . So you could not have say a fruit salad and boiled eggs unless you paid a supplement for the second item of at least £15. Only one selection was £20 and that was the full English which neither of us wanted. Yes you did have Half a slice of sourdough each. Yes you did have 3 mini Danish between 2 . But as I was paying the flex rate ( I thought we might have to cancel because of the rail strike ) we paid over £50 extra each night for breakfast having a bowl of granola.and fruit salad. We were not offered more toast or coffee. In fact the first morning we entered the breakfast room to find the chef arguing with another guest over whether an egg was cooked enough : arguing with a guest! The bar was set low but our experience exceeded even these lowly standards. Will not be using this hotel again. Back to corporate s. Much better VFM

We paid for a reservation. When we showed up they did not have a room for us and kicked us out in the middle of the night. We spent an hour on the street calling hotels until we found one. They should have informed us ahead of time they did not have a room for us and not have allowed us to book it.

Really enjoyed our stay at Sydney house. We stayed in room 43 the best in the house! The views over Chelsea were amazing. Staff very helpful and friendly and lovely loccataine products and bottles of water in the room. Will definitely be back!

Warm reception at check in and I was able to check in early which was perfect after a long overseas flight! Spotless and beautiful room and bathroom (also quite big for a small boutique hotel), great amenities, comfortable bed, and the breakfast each morning was exceptional! Great value for the quality and especially the location of this lovely boutique hotel in Chelsea.

First impression was nice (the lobby feels brightness, comfort, and warmth). The staff was really kind, sweet, welcoming. There was a lift so that I can bring my luggages easily. The room feels warmth, tidy, and comfortable. The bus stop is near. I'd like to visit again!

Stayed here for one night, as a family member had a minor op the day after nearby. It was a convenient location. Staff was super friendly and was even able to hold my bags after checkout until I had collected my family member. I'm thankful to the team for making everything so pleasant and Hareen was a great host and friendly! Thanks guys!

Great little hotel, comfy rooms and great staff (especially Haneen who was lovely and very helpful!) Just don’t eat breakfast there, I paid £22 for eggs on toast that didn’t come as how I asked. Probably the most expensive two eggs I’ve ever had. Plenty of cafes near by that are better quality and price.

Used Sydney House for a base to visit the Chelsea flower show as it's in a good location both for the show and transport links. The staff were welcoming and the service was excellent.

Our fave in London. Great value for money (cheap for this area) and extremely warm and friendly. Good toiletries, even provides tea and good coffee, plus bedroom slippers. Highly recommend this lovely little hotel. My fave pub (PJs) is only next door and a very good high-end Malaysian restaurant is across the road.

I stayed for just one night at Sydney House Chelsea and what a joy it was to find this conveniently located, friendly, scrupulously clean hotel. My room was small, but in very good order, not bashed and worn out as are many rooms in London. Bed linen was high quality and the bed mega comfortable. Together with the bijou bathroom ( full bath) it was all I needed. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice. The best thing I found about the hotel were the staff who really went above and beyond to be welcoming and very helpful. I would be delighted to stay there again when I need a place in Kensington.

A well positioned hotel in pleasant surroundings It is a masterpiece of space utilisation so everything is compact, to say the least! But it is quite stylish. Close to Royal Brompton hospital and South Kensington underground is convenient.

Small & friendly hotel, great location for a number of attractions in the area. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Good nights sleep, ticked the boxes we needed for an overnight stay. Only issue for the area is parking.

Very reasonably priced hotel near Fulham road/kings road area. Spotlessly clean, friendly staff, smallish rooms however have all you need and loads of plug sockets. Decoration is very good throughout and we got an upgrade to a room with sit out terrace...which was delightful. There is a lift though it's tiny,so if a tad clostrophopic...use the stairs. Didn't have breakfast at 20quid however Chelsea farmers market has a great place for breakfast. Would stay again 😊

Beautiful hotel. Very pleasant staff during both shifts. My room was a bit cold because of the bad weather but the staff immediately provided me with a portable heater. Very clean bathroom and abundant supply of towels. Would love to stay here again.

We were lucky enough to have Room 43 which is at the top of the building and the room has its own private terrace overlooking the city, complete with palm trees and other plants, table and chairs and sunbed. There aren't many rooms in London where you can top up your tan!! The staff are courteous and friendly and the room with bath and shower is very pleasant. A nice touch is the L'Occitane toiletries.

Charming Small Hotel in Trendy Area. We spent our last few days here following a 5 week tour of the UK and overall enjoyed the stay. Initially we were put into a room with a small balcony, which I had requested. However the room really was small and not big enough to place a large bag. However the room we moved too had enough space and was much more enjoyable for us. If you are staying for one or two nights and are travelling lightly the standard room is an adequate size otherwise I would opt for the superior room. Breakfast was very good. Staff are all absolutely charming and delightful. Couldn't have been more willing or helpful. The location is excellent and quite upmarket. We ate locally four times and has superb meals.(Thai, Arab and Italian). Easy walk to South Kensington tube station. Cost is reasonable for London. Highly Recommended for short stays in London.
