I visited here in June 2022 as part of walking the London Loop route around London. This is a countryside area you can explore but it can be not easy to navigate at times.

Very fortunate to have such a beautiful green space in purley like this, very well managed by the city of london with an easy to get to car park. Great for running, waking, picnics, walking the dog. Wild and beautiful in the summer .

A beautiful place to walk and embrace the nature. Great out space for your pets. Few bench to sit down if you like to relax and see the nature. There are few parking spaces - not free. Lots of fruit trees I think I have seen few apple trees. You can crops the full length of it and reach Kenley area.

Beautiful, well maintained park, let's hope it's to steep for any developer to put their hands on it.

A lovely place for a walk on a good day. Parking can be limited on a busy day so best to park outside and walk. Best part of this park is its a south facing hill top, so there'll be plenty of direct sunlight on a clear day. Best for walks

This place is full of adventure and discovery, It is massive and when you think you have seen it all you haven't! A lovely place to have a cycle, run, walk and everything, I couldn't recommend it more! The only negatives I'd say is for paying to park and the lack of toilets! There is also a big quarry towards the end of the walk towards Whyteleafe!

I went here today and all I can say is this is an amazing spot to walk. I took my dog here and I could have been out for hours. It’s so easy to get lost in the absolute beauty of this place. I can’t wait to come back for another walk with my dog soon. I even found this swing and tire thing on my walk. Did not expect to see these. Just goes to show what you can find if you look at the beauty around you

Lovely place for a dog walk but please remember there are sheep and cows, and it seems every few weeks there are signs that a dog has attacked a sheep. Please keep your dogs under control and if they're reactive please keep them on a lead. Most dogs we've encountered here seem to be lovely and we'll behaved though thankfully

Nice common for a walk. Sheep and cattle grazing. Nice mixture of open space (chalk downs) and woodland (yew and oak trees mostly). Worth exploring if you’re in the area.

The views and scenery are very nice. Great for walk. Lots of people dog walking The reason for 3 stars is that the council have turned what was once free parking into paid parking so now hardly anyone parks there. Car park is always empty You can park for free at honister heights and use the gate to enter. Ther are no restrooms or places to eat/drink nearby

Wonderful place with spectacular views, but we all need to be more appreciative of wildlife, take care of it and do not leave rubbish behind! Keep the dogs on the lead particularly during skylark's nesting period. Enjoy!

Once lived on top of Riddlesdown used it a lot when we had dogs. It is a nice place and you don't have to walk! Just nice to stop and stare and breathe...,

lived in area for over a decade, and had no idea how close this tucked away place was. Not too long and straight. It feels far enough from shops and houses to unwind. A bit anticlimactic to find at the end of the walk, you exit at the main road with Screwfix and Tesco Express. One of the best places in the area to enjoy the views and feel a sense of space.

Great common. Β£3 parking over 2 hours, or park in a side road. Good walking, dogs, blackberries. Walk to Whyteleafe for park, cafe swings.
