    The room was disgusting. Sheets had cigarette burn holes in them and have clearly not been cleaned in a long time. The provided towels were very smelly and the bed made too much noise with every little movement. The Bathroom would have been acceptable if not every person walking down the street could see me shower through the window. Also, the hotel is very overpriced. Would definitely not recommend.

    Facilities not as described online: TV didn't work due to poor aerial connection, tiny bathroom, uncomfortable bed with a thin mattress. Radiator turned up to full so room was unbearably hot, even with the window open and no fan to cool it down. Returnable damages deposit required in addition to payment, which is weird as they didn't even check the room before I left!

    Rudest people to deal with at Barking Park hotel. Poor service, rooms weren't hygienic at all and on the top of that my security deposit wasn't refunded. Would definitely not recommend anyone to stay here.

    Friendly and helpful staff. A decently priced hotel, you get what you pay for. I was in a room next to some very inconsiderate people who played music very loudly at 10pm and at 1am when I had to get up for work at 04:30. Like I said, you get what you pay for.

    Very strange motel rental system. I had to pay a Β£ 20 deposit and was informed that I would receive the money when I move out. It did not happen. When I was moving out, I heard the information that I would receive a refund on the card next Friday. Of course, I didn't get a refund all the time. Besides, no one has checked my room on checkout so what was the purpose of this deposit ?? I have never encountered a situation in a motel where someone demands a deposit. At the reception, some people informed me that maybe I would like to take the TV out and that is as a precaution. It's just that it's all kind of ridiculous. The room only had a bed and that wretched TV that didn't work😬 and a tiny cupboard. I don't know who would want to take anything from such a place.πŸ‘€πŸ‘€

    My partner's group didn't even get to stay in this hotel, but, looking at the reviews here and on booking.com, perhaps that was for the best. They recieved an email around a week ago informing them that one of the rooms they had booked wouldn't be available, but the hotel would not tell them why or give them an alternative despite several phone calls. In fact, each time they called, the individual manning the phone would literally tell them he didn't know and to call back and speak to a manager, instead - the manager who is apparently only available between 7am and 4pm each day, except on Fridays when they leave at 3pm. After receiving an email saying their payment had been declined and the booking cancelled, my partner contacted the hotel (who blamed booking.com), booking.com (who blamed the hotel as they're responsible for payments), and their bank (who informed them that no payment was ever processed). The conversation we had with another employee today was downright ridiculous. They spoke over my partner, wouldn't let them speak or finish their sentences, and tried to mansplain the process, despite my partner having spoken to the hotel previously, booking.com, and their bank. We were then told that we could still come on the day of the booking and they'd find rooms for us. This would cost over double what the original booking was for. Just don't. Don't stay here. Appalling customer service, lies, obvious unwillingness to actually accommodate existing bookings. Honestly just the worst service I've ever witnessed. As an update, we've been keeping an eye on the hotel out of interest, and they've almost tripled the price of the room we were going to stay in. The also downgraded another friend's room but expect the to pay the same price. Disgusting.

    Good hotel..clean but they have just renovated so can smell a bit of paint and no kettle and coffee in the room but a fridge and also TV didn't work very well also the remote control. The bed was a little bit small or maybe because I am too bigπŸ˜‚ BTW they had great breakfast and the woman who cooked breakfast for you was very nice you can order English breakfast or egg pouch with toast.

    I went on August 31, the bathroom was disgusting, blood stains on the toilet, the sink was horrible to touch, the mirror was bad and you could see yourself in it. a very disappointing experience.

    The room was dirty and the toilet was disgusting. The sink was blocked and therefore unusable. By far the worst "hotel" I've ever stayed in.
