Lived
near
here
for
a
long
time
and
blessed
to
have
this
on
my
doorstep,
especially
during
lockdown.
Its
a
semi
wild
country
park
so
if
you're
looking
for
somewhere
more
civilised
with
a
cafe
and
toilets,
this
is
not
the
place
for
you
but
it
is
great
for
nature
walks.
Claybury
is
ancient
woodland
and
open
spaces
with
a
large
variety
of
flora
and
fauna,
loads
of
birds
including
wild
parakeets
and
i
have
spotted
muntjac
deer
although
they
are
shy
so
rare
to
see
them.
There
are
gravelled
paths
around
most
of
the
park
although
not
all
of
it
so
in
the
winter
some
parts
are
muddy.
There
is
a
great
child's
adventure
playground
there,
an
open
air
gym
nd
a
picnic
area
plus
a
small
lake
but
note
there
are
no
toilets
or
a
cafe
and
all
the
better
for
it
in
my
view.
I've
found
it
a
very
safe
place
to
walk,
there
are
always
dog
walkers
to
talk
to
(and
all
lovely
friendly
dogs)
and
people
with
pushchairs
but
even
so
I've
walked
through
the
woods
on
my
own
and
never
had
a
problem.
It
is
also
a
bluebell
wood
although
the
wild
garlic
is
becoming
very
invasive
lately.
You
can
cycle
over
there
but
best
to
stick
to
the
gravel
paths.
In
addition,
despite
what
a
review
says
there
are
bylaws
and
you
are
not
allowed
to
pick
anything
over
there
as
it
affects
the
bio
diversity
and
they
pick
and
sell
the
apples
to
bring
in
money
for
the
park.
Its
definitely
my
favourite
park
for
walking
in
Redbridge
it's
so
wild
but
still
very
accessible
and
really
a
beautiful
place.
