Ealing Hospital

Government hospital

😠 This hospital is a disgrace to the UK health establishment. I cannot believe how low level the service is. Waiting times are very long, rude staff, unhygienic and lazy doctors. Everyone involved in running this hospital including managers, decision makers from top to bottom should be ashamed of them... People often mention hospital, staff, waiting, people, told, hours, time, Ealing, wait, care,

This hospital is a disgrace to the UK health establishment. I cannot believe how low level the service is. Waiting times are very long, rude staff, unhygienic and lazy doctors. Everyone involved in running this hospital including managers, decision makers from top to bottom should be ashamed of themselves. How can an advanced country offers its citizens this awful 18th century treatment. This is a disgrace and I dare anyone from this establishment to read and respond to my review. Nothing of course will be done about it. Waste of public tax payers money at its finest. This should be reviewed asap by the responsible authorities.

Visited here for an appt. Sadly as I’m sure is the case with many places staffing is minimal and lots of computer - self register stands or queues to register to sit down….before being sent from one department to another. Once seen by a Dr, the advice was excellent on treatment required. Details posted below specifically about the parking, signage and Costs. Good to see the machines still taking cash!

6hr wait, I usually don’t write reviews, but i hope the management can make some changes, i waited 6hrs when i was in extreme pain because of a infection in my throat I hadn’t slept in 2days, waiting that long when your in pain is just is just cruelty, i hope they hire more doctors to reduce the waiting times and focus on improving A&E ,which you should be seen immediate 1 hr max wait for patients . I can’t really blame the receptionists or nurses who try to stay patient when people cant take it anymore, but this is just absurd waiting so long in emergency so be seen or treated. I wish NHS nothing but the best i hope they have enough funding and support to fix the massive issues in our healthcare services.

We came to the x-ray department and the whole process went incredibly fast and efficient. I was impressed.

The treatment I received in Ealing Hospital A&E by the Doctor (from Palestine - sorry forgot his name) on evening of 23/02/22 was second to none. He was very thorough, explaining everything - Exactly what you need in this situation. Can’t praise him enough. He is a credit to the NHS. As were the nursing staff and paramedics (Steve & Michelle) who took me there. The way some people treat the staff there is appalling - how they put up with it is beyond me.

(1 day after a car accident we are in bad shape. My right ear started bleeding.) My wife also in bad shape so we decided to go to the closest hospital along with my 2 kids. We arrived at Ealing Hospital at around 10PM on the 22nd Jan 2023, We were assessed shortly after 1 hour wait, Then told to wait. My wife went inside and the nurse that was suppose to see her and do her graph measurement, instead she brought a ton of bed sheets, my wife then asked to see her quick as both kids were with me in the waiting area. The lady responded with a rude manner "can't you see what I'm doing, I'm doing something" And told her to go wait outside again. I was with my son, daughter and wife. We waited till 5.10 am. You can check cctv footage. I was up and down with my sons and daughter to keep them from crying and screeming. I got fed up and got up knocked on the door and told the doctor we have been waiting for almost 6-7 hours with my kids. They responded by saying that we were making the doctors rush and abusing the doctors. I was shocked as we never used any bad words against them and we were just frustrated we weren't been seen. All other patients were seen and dealt with swiftly. It was almost the staff had a negative view on or they were racist because my wife wore a scarf. We were the last people waiting in the waiting area, when I knocked 5 or 6 doctors stood at the door doing nothing but having tea. Anyhow we were told by the doctors they would not see us and told to leave. What upsets me most is the stuggle me and my Mrs went to get to ealing hospital as we had no car and live by hanger lane roundabout and the fact my kids suffered a night without sleep and tons of crying. This all went to waste and our time was wasted for no reason. The receptionists were also rude and didn't help. I spoke to them, the asian lady in particular was really rude, i asked for her name, she said no. She said "Theres no one here to speak to, Im not speaking to you." I then asked why and told her, she has to give us a explanation as to how me and my wife have been abusive towards the doctor. She replied, I can't tell you. and asked the security to escort us out. My wife started to cry at this point and security people were great, they didn't listen to receptionist lady and they knew exactly how long and how much my son was crying etc. They knew we wasn't in the wrong. I even then called 999 and spoke to the ambulance team, the kind lady offered to speak to receptionist however they refused to take the call, not 1 but all 3 receptionist didn't want to communicate with ambulance services. What's a shame. I just want to say I don't want anything out of this. I just want to raise awareness and I think people should be treated with dignity and respect, especially when one is unwell or sick. Where is the humanity gone. The doctors, receptionist and security saw how much we waited, how much my son and daughter was crying. They have no soul and kicked us out. I will forwarding this email to NHS Services and Local MP to file a complaint. No wonder the reviews on Google are correlating to thier actions seen today.

Really surprised when you see an NHS hospital get a 2.6 rating, but it deserves nothing more. Staff are rude, incompetent and don't communicate with you. I waited 50 minutes for a consultation. There was nobody in the waiting room, but I counted 6 or 7 staff in the ward/section. When I went through, 3 were having a coffee... I get that they don't get paid enough, but today they were getting paid for doing literally NOTHING. Such a shame as people depend on them for help.

The wait times are absolutely shocking and the hygiene is so atrocious. Worst hospital IVE EVER BEEN TO ! This needs to get evaluated and measures need to change as it’s just a joke at this point . WORST PLACE EVER ! If I could give it 0 stars I would !

My child was eventually referred here by NHS 111 service, who told us the Urgent Care Dept would be aware of our arrival. Upon arrival, signage to the Urgent Care Centre is incorrect and lead us to the incorrect check in area, which was closed. The Urgent Care Dept had no knowledge of us or arrangements made to attend and told us they no longer accept referrals via 111 service, so had to register and give all details again. Waiting area was very noisy, cluttered up with kids running about screaming, climbing over chairs and people playing videos and talking loudly on mobile phones, with no consideration for sick people around them. Many patients had brought along numerous family members and picnics/take away food, like it was some kind of family day out, creating additional noise and unavailable seating for the patients. After an almost 4 hour wait, eventually got to see a very rude, abrupt female doctor, who wouldn't listen to what I was trying to explain about my child's medical condition and insisted on talking over me very loudly. I asked her to lower her voice, but she continued to shout and bellow. She examined my child, giving an incorrect diagnosis, which I knew was incorrect and prescribed medication I knew would not work. I asked if my child could be referred to a specialist but the doctor was insistent that the specialist would diagnose the same and that she wouldn't be able to contact them. I asked her if she could at least try and it was at that point it became apparent that she didn't know who the specialist was or how to contact her. After several phone calls, we established who the specialist was and the doctor reluctantly called her. We were then told we would have to go to the A&E dept and wait to be called again. Fast forward another 2 hours, got to see the specialist who diagnosed my child's medical condition correctly and prescribed the correct medication and my child was discharged. Before leaving, I asked if I could raise a complaint about the service at the Urgent Care reception. Reception staff did not have the relevant forms and when I asked to speak to the Desingated Safeguarding Lead, staff were unaware who this was or how to contact them. I asked to speak to the manager of the department and was told there was no manager, only a general site manager. It is evident that there are very serious safeguarding problems in this department and absolutely no one managing either safeguarding issues or complaints. Doctors are making serious medical errors and not being pick up on these as there is no reporting process, which is extremely concerning. The only positive I can find is the friendliness and ability of the specialist and nurse in A&E who diagnosed my daughter's medical condition correctly. However, this is not a game, it should not be a gamble to find a doctor in a hospital who can do their job correctly, without endangering lives.

If I could give lower than a one star I would, waited in here for over 4 hours before I was seen by triage then another 2 for a specialist. Then they decided to tell me, I couldn't be seen at this A&E and must go to another one, After 6 hours. A man in the lobby had his pants around his ankles walking round for over 3 hours, and a lady aimlessly walking round as, she evidently needed urgent help. No one offered to help them, including multiple members of staff that acted like they didn't exist. Be expectant to everyone that comes in after you, to be seen before you. A gentlemen walked in who was a asthmatic and couldn't breathe. However, he was still there after I left and he had been waiting around the same time as me. Please if you are going here for a genuine emergency, don't. The staff are incredibly rude, shouting at people to sit down, when simply waiting in the queues and when their are no suitable seats. No help was given by staff to a gentlemen who could hardly walk and instead they watched him walk to and from the bathroom, while on their phones. Again, please do not come here if in a genuine emergency or just want some compassion from a mental health specialist, as you won't get it.

Attended the trauma and fracture clinic at Ealing Hospital after a hit-and run accident referred from Central Middlesex hospital. Once it was my turn to see the dr he had no idea of the reason for my visit and I had to explain everything he looked at the x-rays, explained nothing and send me off to have a plaster cast and that was it... 3 weeks later returned to have a check up and another X-ray they realise I can’t move my wrist and 2 bones are in the wrong place. Dismissed home told I have to have MRI scan, physiotherapy at the Northwick hospital with that appointment in 3 weeks time ....and then see them again... 4 weeks now passed still in pain, unable to move wrist...and waiting... Ealing Hospital is totally run down, communication is in shambles (varies from department to department) they either call, send text or a letter you won’t really know which. They also somehow managed to change my hospital details going from being born 1974 to 1964, deleted my NWL, EAL and PAS numbers (not sure what they are) it’s all comical Story continues....

One of the worst hospitals I have ever visited. Walked in there with an asthma attack not being able to breathe at 20:00 and I got treated at 3:00. Staff was rude and gave absolutely no answers other than "just sit down and wait". I recommend just going to any other hospital in London if you can.

This is the worst hospital I have ever been to by far! I went to A&E on a Saturday following a accident at work that left me with a badly bruised big toe. Waited five hours without triage before a doctor called me confused that I hadn't been assessed. They only had one crutch to give me which I had to beg the doctor multiple times to find. He told me to come back during the week if I still couldn't walk properly by then. Came back the following Tuesday as I still couldn't bare weight on it. I explained all this to the lady behind the desk and she booked me in to chat to the triage nurse. After waiting half an hour I was called over. She heard me out and told me to take a seat explaining absolutely nothing so I assumed someone would just come out and give me a crutch. I waited another half hour before I decided this was clearly taking too long and I went back up to her. Before I could even open my mouth she aggressively started telling me to sit down and I couldn't speak to her. I tried to ask her to calm down I just want to know what I'm waiting for. She said one of the doctors would call my name at some point. I asked does that mean I'll be waiting here for hours for a crutch. And she said "you might have to it's up to you........" I tried to ask if there was anywhere else in the hospital I could go to get one and she said "probably not but you can try" and turned back to her computer never to respond again. I then spent the next 20 minutes hobbling around the hospital asking random staff if they knew where I could find one untill one nice man told me to try the fracture clinic. I had to ask several members of staff how to get there as non of them were sure and the signage was very poor. When I finally found it a cleaning lady let me in and tried to say there was nobody there. I when I asked if she could look for one, she walked away and conveniently found a doctor who after hearing me out went to go look for me. He could only find child size crutches with the largest being one or two inches to short for me. I took it and decided to cut my losses and later swapped parts with the crutch I already to get it closer to the height I needed. Never in my whole life has a hospital forced me to wander the halls asking random people for help like this. It was completely humiliating. If you're dying then sure, go here but if at all possible go ANYWHERE else. The treatment I received was horrible.....

Just moved my family from South Africa to the UK and my first experience trying to get my little 20month old girl some medical care was terrible! If what I just witnessed is standard practice for the NHS and a London hospital then I’m really concerned that our decision to immigrate here may have been a mistake. Shocking that the medical staff are okay with letting little children suffer and cry in so much discomfort to the point that I actually lost my cool and left the hospital after waiting over 45min for someone to just take a look at my baby.

Ridiculous waiting times (4hr30 to some people and to others 3hr30 the real waiting time is 5+hrs) and staff that seem too busy to care and look at you strangely when you complain. Old english people spewing racism because they don’t want to wait in the waiting room. People coughing with no mask over their mouth. Homeless people using the A&E as somewhere to nod off and be sick on themselves. I’d say this place is close to hell. Would give this place -10 if I could. Avoid!

This hospital has only gone more down hill over the years. The wait time is absolutely ridiculous and the staff rude. I mean no one comes here to actually kill time, people are ill and need to be seen. The doctors are super chilled with everyone taking their good time knowing people will just wait. For a first world country it’s actually a joke.

5HOUR LONG WAITS WHILST DOCTOR ON BREAK Had a 2 week long chest infection worsen, couldn’t breathe, vomited twice and sweating hot and cold. Called 111 and they’d put my name on the waiting system for a 7am appointment at Ealing Hospital. I arrived at the Urgent Treatment Centre to be told my name was not on system and it would be a 5 hour wait. I work for a 5*star hotel, never in my life have I seen such UNPROFESSIONAL ATTITUDE coming from a receptionist of URGENT TREATMENT. The receptionist are absolutely rude, un caring and awfully slow. Customer service 0/10. As I waited in waiting room, a lot of other people were getting frustrated that they’ve been waiting for hours for the doctor to come off his break, and also denied a disabled man from using the disabled toilets which caused him to become angry. I was born at this hospital … it’s downward spiral is absolutely sad to see. Used to actually save and help people URGENTLY, and now all you hear is horror stories about this place. Please go to West Middlesex hospital instead

I got an appointment from NHS 111 which clearly stated that i should not be late for my appointment, but even then I was asked to stand in the queue and they made me wait for 5hrs. Very poor service and very slow. They did not even give me a prescription for the medication that they gave me.

Doctors are amazing but the lady specially a white lady at reception at night was absolutely disgrace to the profession where you are employed to be caring but she was rude and racist. I felt she was very rude and ignorant to Black and Asian people. Hope God see people like her who have zero compassion for people who are in pain and in need.

The worse hospital ever seen in the UK. I was looking for a walk-in centre and the NhS website indicated it as the closest by post-code. It ended up that the walk-in is actually the Emergency. Waiting time 3 hours. Who asked for A&E?! I’d rather go to the opposite side of London next time. Not feeling like in England.

Dr Lim and his team were absolutely amazing. Not only did they come across as thoughtful, lovely people but kept me informed, took every care to deal with my pain from a dislocated shoulder and did everything efficiently and thoughtfully. Especially considering how busy the A&E department is they were amazing in what must be incredibly difficult circumstances. I am so grateful for their care towards me and everyone else.

A&E department is atrocious! In addition, there is NO Children’s emergency department which is terribly annoying in itself, especially as children are NOT given priority. There aren’t any vending machines, basic observations are conducted on the main desk in front of the entire waiting area and the staff are rude, unprofessional and keep you waiting in a queue, whilst they complete their admin duties. The waiting areas are filthy and the female toilets are even worst with excrement visible on tissues strategically placed over the sanitary bins. It’s absolutely disgusting and riddled with Covid. Yuck, yuck and yuck again. I will never EVER go to this hospital again.

This affects mental health! This was a proven during covid and they still using this cruel ruthless method! No other hospital is enforcing this!

was not expecting to be rushed to hospital on Christmas Eve, a week later due to be released. Its been a long time since I spent nights and days in hospital with round the clock care, these nurses, doctors and surgeons have saved my life literally, The hospital is very clean so its a big 5 star from me. A special thanks to the nurses who are on the ground and work exceptionally hard.

Arrived at the A&E Ealing hospital about 6:50 a.m. with fractured/bruised ribs. I was initially seen by a nurse within 20 minutes. Then an injury lady doctor took care of me just after 8 a.m. I had a proper old school check and treatment, detailed explanation of what to do and what not to do with this type of injury. I praise NHS staff at the Ealing hospital. The whole visit was about 2 and a half hours ( that was different from evening emergencies). Today's rating has to be 5*.

Rude staff and unprofessional doctors, incredibly long waiting times in uncomfortable area! I really recommend AVOIDING Ealing hospital and A&E overall. They are absolutely useless at providing support, caring for a clearly distraught patient and diagnosing and sorting out the problem. Absolutely appalling hospital, it doesn’t even deserve 1 star.

Overall Ealing did a wonderful prescription for my asthma attack I had, with a blue inhaler (20 puffs), and some vanilla supplements. But, they didn't use the nebulizer, I don't know why, but I should have had that, because therefore, I wouldn't get still the same asthmatic symptoms, but good doctors, but the waiting time, it was 2 hours, and I was so bored that I had to use my phone. One more positive thing, is that, I really appreciate the good quality WiFi, and the good quality highly trained doctors.

I was offered an appointment by the 111here at Urgent Care at 1:20pm today. Well, it's 4:14 pm and I was not seen yet. About an hour ago, we're told to go to Sunrise GP because they were giving face to face appointment. Around 4pm I went to the lady in the reception and I was going to ask her if my appointment was still very delayed. Well, I didn't get the chance to ask because the lady told me wait! Wait? I was the only one in the queue and I just said Hi, I have an appointment. When returning to my seat, I thought aloud and said charming lady. I got a few nodes. Question : what's the point of being offered an appointment by the 111?

On May 23rd I came to the emergency room at night because of breathing problems. All of the staff were very helpful, friendly and took very good care of me. no long waiting times. I was there for the first time and it was very good. They examined me thoroughly and took good care of me. I've only been to Hillingdon hospital so far and I was impressed by the comparison to Ealing hospital. very good component doctors and nurses in the emergency room.

Due to a longstanding knee injury I have been visiting the Orthopeadic Dept here for nearly 3 years! I have been left upset and extremely disappointed at the total lack of care from this department. The whole experience has been a calamity of errors. I was initially referred for physio (standard procedure which is a complete waste of time!) I never received a letter for this and after making the effort with a severely painful knee to attend an appointment, I was told I need to chase up my own appt for physio on the ground floor and no further discussion regarding treatment can happen before this. Dumbfounded. At a later appointment months after I was given a steroid injection and then another one six months later (which basically just delays them having to do any intervention). A year later, I finally got to see an actual consultant who promised me that he would perform surgery after I had a further MRI (which in his opinion should have been done months earlier) and that I would be booked in to see him again in a months time. He said I must insist on seeing only him at my next appointment. I did exactly this when I returned. However, I was seen by a different dr, who said that the consultant would be in to see me. This Dr was looking at an old MRI and not the recent MRI and said the recent one wasn't available despite it being done 2wks prior. I was also told when I asked when was the consultant coming that he had gone home. He said all he could do was to add me to the waiting list for surgery. A complete waste of my time and no progress with my treatment yet again. I waited a further 6 weeks to see the same consultant who had promised to do the surgery in the first place, who told me that the previous Dr had not added me to the waiting list, but that he would definitely put me in for surgery within 4 weeks as there had been so many delays and he would be performing it himself. My MRI was now showing further deterioration in my knee!! It's now over 4 weeks later and I have heard nothing from the hospital regarding surgery. Ive spent over a week trying to speak to the Orthopeadic clinic and no one picks up the call. Today I have managed to connect with someone who has informed me that there is no updated information on my record regarding surgery and the consultant is on holiday. On one occasion when I spoke to the consultants secretary, she accused me of being aggresive to her when I expressed my frustration at the way I have been treated. She suggested I make a complaint and threatened to hang up me. I was extremely upset at this accusation as I have never been aggressive to her or any other member of staff. This appears to be a standard accusation from members of staff at the hospital to quickly get rid of you if you dare complain about anything. They treat you as though they are doing you a huge favour by just talking to you. It's outrageous how these so called professionals qet away with lies, false promises, causing unnecessary stress and prolonged suffering to patients. I have now been left with extra pain and discomfort in my hip, due to being left for nearly 3 years with a knee injury. People are literally at the mercy of this hospital.

Ambulance staff was very good and came quickly when I had asthma attack few days ago and dropped my oxygen level to 88, they were understanding and helpful. A&E also was quick to treat me and the staff was okay as well. It's actually when I moved to the ward then the ignorance started. Some nursing staff were nice but some were totally ignorant and rude to speak to. Doctors are very rude and treat us like we are doing something wrong to come to the hospital. The food was good though. Honestly speaking I always hated to go to hospitals and Even visiting Surgeries, but sometimes we just can't help and have to go visit these places. The NHS was so good few years back but maybe too much load now that they have to cut the services.

I was admitted to the 3 North Brunel Ward on 07/02/2024 for a surgery and I was amazed by the care provided. The nurses led by nurse Rose was amazing. Made me feel so cared and comfortable. Dr Salma Khan was so kind and gave information in a way anyone could understand. The Anaesthetist was so kind and made me feel comfortable. I'm so happy about the care I received. Thank you so much. Sorry I can't remember the names of all nurses cared for me, may be because I was under Anastasia. But they all were so amazing.

Be prepared to have a receptionist in A&E not believe a word your saying and tell you go to your GP. In my case I was immobile for over a week, wasn't able to get a GP appointment, so I braced the epic pain to get to A&E, only to be told you look ok and you made it here by yourself alright.... Do not waste your time with the Dermatology department. I had been desperate to be referred for years, finally got on the waitlist & got seen. After being seen & getting put on a harsh medication I was told that I needed to come back monthly for blood tests, which I have been doing. Recently my blood indicated high cholesterol & some other issues due got this medication. Was told they would keep a close eye & monitor me at next appointment. Getting appointments with this department is quite literally more difficult than my degree. It’s gotten to the point where I called to discharge myself as I had been left without meds for a month & a half, couldn’t get a new appointment, follow up was scheduled for three months away (even though I need monthly appointments) & no one was willing to help me. Just really horrific & I went through a lot for those meds just to have had to quit them cold turkey. Feels like the whole process was for nothing as they cannot accommodate regular appointments for people under their care. Every time I called them to try & sort my situation I would just get fobbed off to a different department. Truly cannot recommend less. West Middlesex is the one to go for nearby.

I worked within the NHS for the past 24 years and I have never came across a more obnoxious and rude person untill today. In my job I always put myself in a person's shoe, I always treat people with respect and dignity. This lady was loud everyone could hear she way she spoke to me she was a nasty piece of work. She works in the urgent care department. I dont think people like those should work at the front desk, when you come in they are the first person that you see and they should be more welcoming. If I was rude to her, she would have called the law, I think that they need more training on how to deal with the public.

Brilliant service last night. Fell off my bike went to A & E. Lovely nurse on reception sent me for X ray straight away where there was no queue. She then explained results of x ray as soon as I returned to reception Saw excellent orthopaedic consultant who explained what I'd done and put arm in a cast. Vet efficient and professional service. Shame some people were shouting abuse at the hard working staff. Thank you Ealing hospital.

Arrived with high blood pressure 180 / 90 in generally poor overall state and been asked to seat and wait for 4 hours. No plastic cups for water in the communal area - people pouring water in empty crisp packets. Speaking of staff - everyone seem to be casually walking around, super chilled, yet no people are being called to be seen by the doctors. Speaking of cleanness - rather questionable standard and poor sanitisation in hospitals is rather gross - isn’t it? How comes that all the above mentioned is even possible? Confused and ill feeling people should be prioritised to get the necessary medical care. This place needs some major adjustments within its staff - that’s for certain.

‘’The NHS is free ‘’ , ‘’its great’’people say around the world but they don’t know the fact I had to wait 4 hours In empty emergency department at 3AM to be seen with sever stomach pain . I was literally screaming from the pain and the pain was unbearable for me and the strange part is hospital waiting room was empty. It wasn’t like many people sitting. There was me and another lady but still taking 4 hours to be seen .

Hello, Usually I don't write reviews. But can't say even one good word about this A&E have big rash on body most probably allergy reaction. Waiting here 6hours..... Still waiting to be honest. 10 minutes ago nurse said it might take up to 5 hours more. This is not acceptable, we paying our taxes every single month, once we have health problems and need help-advice. We can't get it?..... Apparently there is many stories about NHS service and long ques, when families loosing close ones...... Have a lovely day.

I was directed by 111 to attend the urgent care centre at Ealing hospital. I was worried about a long wait and reluctant to go but was persuaded that it was necessary. I was pleasantly surprised to be seen 3 minutes after booking into the reception. After the initial assessment I was told to wait to be called by the A&E triage nurse. Within 20 minutes I had seen the triage nurse, had a cannula put in and bloods had been taken. Another half an hour later I saw a doctor, who diagnosed an upper urinary infection. Within 4 hours I was given IV fluids, antibiotics and paracetamol and was well enough to be allowed home with follow up later in the week. I’m really grateful to all the staff that helped me that Bank Holiday Monday.

Having lived in Ealing for a decade I can testify that this hospital has been constantly shockingly unfit for purpose long before the Pandemic disrupted the NHS. The fact that this place hasn't seen a lick of paint inside or outside certainly makes you wonder.Staff and patients are wildly smoking outside the premises together with visitors, blatantly disregarding any common sense (to my eyes at least). The Outpatient Department,A&E and Wards are depressing to visit, no matter what the reason is and over the years I resorted to catching the train and going to St Thomas telling myself that I would rather die trying. The Staff might be okay, some of them at least, but the majority of people working on the frontline is not what you expect to meet in a hospital, their attitude and appearance reminds me of a rough pub during Victorian London instead.. With the exception of a few Nurses and Doctors you are made feel unwelcome and a burden as soon as you enter the building and I can't imagine for the life of me how people can make it out of it all in one piece. It's absolutely mind boggling how this place manages to be inspected by the QCC (if it ever is) and remain open and functioning the way it is.. I would not take my dog's dog there!

Came to A&E with my daughter on the 21/08/23. She had an abscess that needed to be drained. Stayed for about 4 hours and went home with antibiotics and painkillers. The pain got worse and the abscess got bigger. My daughter couldn’t take the pain anymore. Went back to A&E two days later & arrived at 9.30am. Got seen rather fast, was sent to ACU, and waited there for someone to tell us something. They took bloods and then was told to move to the ward to wait for surgery, Just a side note, the Senior Nurse in ACU WARD, LENA SCOTT, she was so amazing, such a great nurse and so kind too, back to the 2nd ward. Was told that my daughter was 2nd on the list. Got really happy with that. Hours past and nothing. Kept asking for an update and nothing. Past 7.30pm and the ward we were in said she needs to be moved to ANOTHER ward because their ward is closing??? WHAT??? Anyway, got to the other ward just before 8pm and waited again. Finally the surgeon came at about 8.40 and said she’s next on the list and she will be going up soon. 9.30pm!!!!!! At this point my poor daughter has not had anything to eat or drink for OVER 24 HOURS!!!!! This hospital is a joke, they make you wait forever and they don’t even care that you are in pain and weak for not eating anything. The last ward my daughter neighbour in the next bed said her surgery was cancelled 3TIMES!!!! She’s been there 3 days!!! Plus there’s was blood all over the floor and no one bothered cleaning it until I said something and they only cleaned it with a wipe!! If you can, go somewhere else. Because you will die before they actually do anything

I have no idea why I went to this hospital to see a neurologist in the neurology department, they make you wait 2 months for an appointment then cancel 2 days before and then make one another month later then they cancel again. It’s frustrating especially when you need fast appointments. The hospital in general is great but if your GP referred you here to see the neurology team I would say don’t do it in this hospital coz they just led you down, the worst department in Ealing hospital 😭

Everyone has a different opinion & health issues But for me I can not praise the hospital or staff enough I have no words to express how grateful I am to them from consultants.surgeons, Doctors.nurses. Paramedics X-ray/ultrascan/mri unit Porters.cleaners.ward housekeepers who serve meals & drinks every single department have always treated me so respectfully, so caring & kind you truly were my earth angels when I needed you most not ONCE but THREE times in the past couple of years you have saved my life one time if I had not got to hospital when I did I would have passed away in a matter of hours. My sincere heartfelt thanks & appreciation in abundance. I went to Ealing Hospital on the 7th January. I told the emergency doctor that I thought I’d had a heart attack about 3 weeks prior. He ask me why I had come now. I told him it was because I was now having the worst night sweats of my life. The doctor checked my bloods and gave me an x-ray. Then told me my bloods where good. The Doctor kept asking me if I had chest pain. I told him that I only had residual pain as I had had the attack 3 weeks prior. I was discharged as the doctor said my bloods where good. When I went to see my GP he told me I hadn’t had a heart attack as I went to the hospital with chest pain and my blood test had shown I hadn’t had a heart attack. The problem is I had the attack 3 weeks prior and the blood test would not show weather I had a heart attack or not by that stage according to cardiac unit at Ealing Hospital. As a result of this my medical records are now inaccurate and who knows what problems this may cause me in the future

HORRIBLE! I was in A&E and I had a serious wound, and after 5 hours was I finally admitted where they shouted at me apparently it wasn't serious enough to be in A&E. They did nothing and I went to another hospital to get treated. It was only the reception staff, they should be replaced. The doctors and nurses are very kind to children.

Well Worst NHS hospital. There is no sense of appointment at all. No mercy on woman with bleeding with miscarriage. You can be in the pool of blood. There must be some way out for pregnant woman and kids to see as soon as possible. No humanitarian behaviour from staff. Scan appointment was at 10. 20 but it’s almost 2 hours passed the appointment time and no one cares.

The ICU ward were brilliant they saved my life, the doctors and nurses were brilliant and friendly. But when I was transfered to the ward my medication was always late. I had a seizsure as I am epileptic I was on the floor in the side room on the ward the nurses came in 3 times and left me on the floor. The fourth time they put me on the bed. After that I went and curled up on a chair had another seizsure it took until my partner to turn up for me to get help :( I gave them 4 stars as the ICU unit were brilliant.

Whilst waiting to be seen by a GP I have noticed that people like to complain a lot and they treat medical staff in a rude manner instead of appreciating how hard they work and that they are there to help us and in many occasions, saving lives. And from what I've heard from media and read, many of them are getting very low wages for the amount of hours they have to work, especially the ones who do night shifts. I've been to the A&E at the beginning of October with my wife who had to treat a very bad skin rash and the service that we received from Dr George Hiner and Dr Catrina was brilliant, I don't find the words to thank them enough! Although they are very young, they were very friendly and professional, excellent doctors!

The minor injuries unit is a grim awful place. The waiting times are horrendous. Even if the triage nurse determines your issue is urgent you have what appears like a minimum 1 hour wait, and for something not deemed urgent upto 3 hours. Then once you get seen, if it is by one of the nurses and not the single doctor on duty, then you will be seen by a trainee. They seem too inexperienced to understand and help. They spend more time taking down irelevant personal details for their database, instead of diagnosing the problem. When i went they wrongly diagnosed my issue, so now I have to go to my local GP for help for an emergency issue. Ridiculous.

Particularly on the ultrasound appointment the nurses and doctor went above and beyond to accommodate. thanks Ealing Hospital :)

I regret but have NO option but to leave a one star review. I had a heart scan but they failed completely and utterly to follow up the scan with the outpatients review. without the review of the scan the scan was pointless. I am having to use my own time out of work to try and find out what is happening. very frustrating and tedious at best. annoying and causing me stress and hassle also.

Absolutely appalling experience in A&E. four doctors on night shift for over 40 admissions, two people admitted one screaming in pain for over an hour, another vomiting on the floor and screaming in agony for hours while no pain medication administered except oral paracetamol (while vomiting). Case for medical negligence being submitted ASAP. If this is the state of the NHS then something needs to change.

I think Ealing Hospital doesn’t have the best reputation but the majority of our experiences have been positive here. My daughter was in the neonatal unit (which has now gone) and they were absolutely fantastic. I have recently used the Gynaecology department which was a bit hit and miss, hence why my review is slightly lower. I was not confident with the level of care I received or information given to me in this department, the worst being a EPU nurse trying to give me a blood test with the previous persons blood on her hands still. My partner had to remind her to wash her hands. Ealing have also got rid of their children’s services, we took my 6 year old daughter to A&E and they said she would have to go by ambulance to West Middlesex as Ealing cannot be of help for children under 16 so if you are going for your child then you will be turned away unfortunately. The A&E department is actually good compared to most.

In the early hours of approx 1am Easter Sunday April 2017, an ambulance was called for me, when it arrived they refuse to take me at first they thought I was drunk, I don't drink, it was only after persuasion from people that knew me that I was taking to Ealing Hospital I was left waiting for hours and hours,.I was told this by my family as I have no memory of being there or anything waited for an MRI scan , no porters available to take me in for it. My daughter's offered to take me in , but we're told it was against health and safety. Surely the nurse should have taken me, my sister is a nurse in another London hospital , she said would taken me if she was at this hospital. I had a bleed to my brain, a subarachnoid hemorrhage, was transferred to charring cross ended up in the Critical Care Unit was hospitalised for 7 weeks. They should be taught the signs to look out for. The ambulance missed it, so did Ealing Hospital, it was only when the scan results came in. I am lucky to be alive thanks to the professionals in Charring Cross.

I didn't see much of it as I was taken there by ambulance and spent all my time in A&E and X-ray, before coming home by ambulance. The staff were really nice, especially Sarah the Dr who treated me, and I was even given tea and sandwiches during the time I was there. I can't say I'd recommend Ealing hospital, who recommends a hospital after all, but it was nice to be treated like a person and not an inconvenience.

Jumped up, newly qualified Dr in urgent care who should and had the ability to have me seen by a consultant but simply told me "he couldn't and that I need to see my GP" There's a reason I rang 111 and got sent there otherwise did he not think I'd have gone to my GP. Beyond negligent care - these are the "GP's"/"Doctors" that give the NHS a bad name - far too arrogant and above anyone else to be caring for people. Train these jumped up individuals people skills and that the textbook isn't always the right way - listening to your patient will carry you a lot further! When I asked to speak to the lead Doctor/Matron, I was simply told that he was the only Doctor despite seeing atleast another three!!!! Even more concerning that said individual who has somehow passed his training is "Lead Doctor"

I replied back saying i am waiting for the doctor in the reception!! She said oh i didnt know and told me the doctor is busy in A&E. 2 mins later the same doctor is walking around the EPU unit. Was in a hotel to visit my son and family. During a Friday evening I had a temp and felt ill. I had laryngitis and a chest infection, some difficulty breathing. I have COPD. So Saturday morning daughter in law got me an urgent appointment which was at Ealing hospital. Didn't have to wait long to called by a doctor, discussed my symptoms and checked my chest. He took me straight to have nebulised oxygen and after 10 minutes he brought me, steroids, antibiotics and a rescue inhaler. This would not have happened at my local hospital. I would have been sent on a root march to pharmacy to wait for a prescription, which usually takes ages.. In my northern town persons with a disabled badge pay £2.20, but here it was free!

Never go there only had one nice assistant (Irish girl) the consultants and doctors very RUDE. When in ambulance request a different hospital. Felt like I was forced to leave we feeling faint and couldn’t even walk. The doctor was so rude when confronted she said that there are other patients and walked off I wish I recorded the way I was spoken to. The transport guy did not understand English and was pushing me in the wheel chair to the car. I asked him to slow down number of times but consisted on pushing fast causing me pain which could have been avoided! Why employ someone to work in a uk hospital if they don’t have basic understanding ??? !!! I can fully understand pressures of working in the hospital but patients need to be treated like humans not objects. Very disappointed as you work hard to fund the NHS but the same work ethics does not show. Sorry to anybody who has experienced my situation. I know full understand what you went through.

Local people saved this hospital from being shut! But it is not fit for purpose. The standards are low, its dirty, staff ignore you. I have to travel to decent hospitals. I dread an accident and ambulance taking me here, although I probably wouldn't wake up to find out. Hospitals should either have top standards or should be shut.

Admitted as a Day Case to 3 North on the 28th January 2022 for a minor procedure under GA. Excellent care and attention by all staff throughout the day. Everything explained as the day progressed. I felt safe and well looked after. I am a Nurse myself and worked on 3 North many years ago for 18 months. The gynaecology department are unprofessional and have no care for patients. I have been patiently waiting for the progress of my fertility referral since 2020. Sometimes they mislabel the blood samples and think it’s ok to tell me 3 months later, or forget to send me forms for very important steps in the process. Another 3 months later, they call me to tell me I need a particular jab. Covid had disrupted the lives of many and so I waited, but 2 years with the quality excuses I was given is not going to cut it.

I have attended Ealing Hospital a number of times in the last18 months; Both as an in-patient and out-patient. The staff were pleasant, efficient and helpful. Thank-you to Respiratory Department, Physio and CT scans. The Friends Cafe is also a boon!

It's looks like that in Ealing Hospital working not competent Stuff. They don't know what they are doing and making a lot of mistakes. I was two times this week in Ealing Hospital, because of accident in job. First time Doctor write Medical Note's with mistakes. He filled wrong information. After two days I went back in hospital. I explained them about situation, about wrong information in my medical Note's. It's was told that they must check me again and then they will Fix it everything. After one day I received new Medical Raport from Go, which sended them Ealing hospital - and it's totally empty raport at all. How can such not competent people work in such important places... Disappointing.

I recently had day surgery here at Brunel north 3. I was anxious going in, the nurses were lovely! Ward was clean, I spent all day there and was comfortable. Jade and Fi looked after me, they did everything to make sure that I was comfortable. The theatre team were amazing as well, I can’t remember everyone’s name. Dr Samuel and everyone that works with him. I’m so grateful for our NHS!

GP walk-in for x-ray. Middle of morning, middle of week. In and out in 20 minutes. Radiographers very efficient, polite and informative. True the place itself is looking a bit run down, but the staff and treatment rooms were good.

My roommate had appendicitis. The diagnostic testing was so disorganized and slow that while she was in there (for 36 hours) her appendix had burst and they were treating her for indigestion and giving her paracetamol. Nurses losing track of patients left and right, losing track of who has had which meds, doctors misdiagnosing and not collaborating effectively with other staff. This hospital is a huge mess and my roommate may have sepsis now because of it. It’s so absurd that it’s tragic.

Shocking. Brought husband in with chest pains suspected heart attack (previous history) We had also informed them that he currently has the flu. Had ECG and bloods to check Troponin levels. There was no communication from staff for over 6 hours. Left to sit in a chair on a drip, had to call nurse to say need to take drop off as blood now back flowing. Asked if update, has dr seen bloods is all ok?? Told we will need to wait until potentially midday as 12 patients in front of us. Bere in mind we came in at midnight, it is now 6:45am. My husband said he wanted to discharge himself, a doctor then became available, He said that his bloods had been checked and heart was ok, but they think he has an infection. So we asked if they couldn’t not give antibiotics and let him go, this could of been done hours ago, or we could of been asked to contact gp tomorrow for this, instead kept us in limbo for hours. anyway dr wrote up prescription and we left @7:45am Main issue is lack of communication between drs and nurses and with nurses and patients. West middlesex is the one to go to

It is very busy especially as it was Friday evening, but despite the 10h long wait - the care, effort, efficiency, kindness of the nurses and especially surgeons was Brilliant. Thank you so much!

The wait for the appointment was excruciating but once all was setup, my goodness the all the staff, nurses, consultants, surgeons were amazing. They truly spelt the word caring for me in actions. Thank god for the NHS. My Operation was swift and my dispatch even smoother. They explained every step of the way in details. Many thanks Ealing Hospital

Overall good doctors and nurses apart from one nurse Nircy who thinks that she owns the staff and the hospital and has no courage to talk with patients face to face Very nasty person and arrogant!!

The worst hospital probably in the whole UK. I almost lost half a finger because the Dr never knew what a sea urchin was once, then had to do to royal free hospital 3 days later with blood poisoning and septicaemia. Have been in for bleeding stomach (GI bleed, throwing up blood, black stool) refused a bed because it had to do with my disease of alcoholism and depression, and not considered a medical emergency. One time I was admitted with pancreatitis and developed purchase retinopathy and told the Dr I was going blind and him and his 5 little interns said it was just part of my withdrawal. They are useless and have Jnr doctors who have barely passed puberty diagnosing patients, when you’re waiting even after being assessed all you hear are people in agony and their family trying to get help for them. It’s a disgrace and if I had the money and resources I would sue the NHS and that hospital especially. Good luck to anyone whoever gets to them by ambulance or on their own. Their reception staff are rude too. And disorganised, people come in to A and E after you but get seen before you. Be ashamed of yourselves. The EMT’s can’t even grow a beard yet too so how can you trust them?! Enough said.
