One of the best tasting menus we've had. Loved the Irish theme. The food is of top quality. Half way through was slightly worried as that I might go away hungry as the food was so tasty that I felt hungrier then when I started, but by the end they richness of the desserts filled us perfectly. We opted for the wine pairings which included a large glass of champagne too start with and a glass of Irish Mist too end the meal.

I have been to several 1* restaurants and Myrtle is way better than nearly all of them. Flavours are simply sensational, neat ambient and bright venue, service is top-notch without being too formal. At lunch you will also have the chance to choose a great value fixed set menu. Fairly quiet atmosphere so it feels like you have landed on another world. A tasting menu is highly recommended for anniversaries or a meal with a very special person.

Absolutely outstanding meal and service. It's not very often that you eat food which makes you shake your head in disbelief at the brilliance in every mouthful. I can't not explain how utterly delicious the whole experience was, from the cocktail, to the service, to the tasting menu, everything was perfection. We went for our 5yr wedding anniversary and the whole evening was faultless. Throughly recommend eating here, I can't wait to go back. 5*

Excellent food and service. Very intimate restaurant with a low number of covers. If all adds to the experience and means they achieve top service. We tried the tasting menu. Personally, I thought the chocolate dessert was a little underwhelming but every other dish was fantastic. The beef dish was my particular favourite but all of them were special. The bread is also lovely and the black pudding snack is a must try. We all felt the quality of the food and service for the price of the tasting menu was great value.

I wanted to love it but somehow the overall experience fell slightly short and not sure why! The food was delicious and beautifully presented, a couple of dishes were outstanding and truly memorable…. The poached smoked oyster and the boxty in particular, desserts were a slight let down but still good. The service was ok but not much more than that. Overall ambiance lacked, it was very quiet and none of the staff gave the impression of liking their job! Music coming up the stairs from the kitchen, it would be better if it was played in the restaurant itself and might help create atmosphere. No reasonably priced wines…. Why is this a thing with all fine dining restaurants, very frustrating. Overall though it was still a lovely special occasion meal and considering the quality of the food and location, the tasting menu is actually good value.

Never knew Irish cuisine is so tasty and elegant !!! Food and service beats some of the pricey 2 Michelin stars restaurants in London, that Ive been to. Probably one of the best dishes in terms of flavour, I have ever had. Definitely one to visit. Fine dining at brasserie pricing. Just perfect!

Wow. Just chanced upon this place tonight after watching Belfast at the cinema. It was meant to be. It was serendipitous. Our waiter, Daniel, was fantastic and talked us through the menu and each dish as they arrived. Food was all very well presented and delicious. Great food and great service.

Thoroughly disappointed I’m afraid. Was really looking forward to going. Would urge anyone planning to go to read the several 3 star reviews before booking, they all echo the sentiment we had leaving there. Spent £200 a head on the tasting menu with pairings and left there very very hungry, the portions are TINY. The fourth course (the main, main) was a couple of slices of beef measuring 2 inch x 2 inch x 1/4 inch served with 9 (yes, 9…) kernels of corn. Chicken was exceptionally dry. First course was served on an upside down ramekin. Desert was jam on a spoon. The flavour combinations were nothing to write home about. Utterly dumbfounded. Our server was really lovely, and I feel really bad drawing attention to this because of that - there was a serious BO problem, perhaps had just cycled into work or something. Very unpleasant considering our heads are all armpit height when sat down. Venue itself was tired. I’m really trying hard for some redeeming qualities here and coming up trumps, it was nice that the menu was separated by regions of Ireland, that’s all I’ve got. I’m a resident of the area and in that location there are dozens and dozens of better options at a much lower price point, and at that price point, this restaurant doesn’t stand up at all.

Food was flawless, absolutely delicious. But for me, sadly, that didn’t compensate for the painfully slow service. We had the tasting menu and as I said, the food was incredible. I don’t often feel compelled to write reviews but felt tonight warranted it. The restaurant didn’t seem busy (it was a Tuesday evening) and yet we waited from 20 to 27 minutes between the first 5 of 8 courses that were each very small and took us a maximum of 5 minutes each to eat. I took photos of each plate as they arrived so I’m not exaggerating on the timings. We were both just hungry and got a bit fed up. After course 4 I did ask the waiter very politely if things could be sped up a little but not much changed and we waited almost 30 minutes for course 5. The desserts came faster but it seemed that was mainly because they could more easily have been pre-plated. Anna herself was there tonight so we were quite surprised at just how slow the meal was. I was a bit disappointed that after it had all taken so long, no money was removed from the bill. Perhaps I should’ve asked for service to be deducted but I didn’t really want to be that person, and they should’ve done the right thing and offered it as a gesture of goodwill. I’m afraid based on our experience this evening I wouldn’t return.

I can't write two reviews for one place so editing this one, after the previously exceptional food and service we booked Myrtle for our wedding reception, from start to finish Daniel was wonderful, everything went to plan, the guests loved it, we loved it, Daniel modified things as we were going to accommodate guests requirements. The oysters went down extremely well. We can't thank you enough Daniel and the rest of the team for making our day so special. :-) Fabulous, what a fantastic little restaurant. We went for a Saturday lunch to try food before thinking about an event hire. Everything about the meal was wonderful, the service was on point, wine recommendations excellent and the food sublime. We had 2 starters and a signature main each. It was a hard choice to choose the best , fish cake that had a fillet of monkfish running through the middle and oozy pork brawn croquette. We had the hake with oats for main and that was cooked perfectly, the beef with a little beef boxty on the side was a taste explosion. Highly recommend giving this place a go :)

This is a really great restaurant. Service excellent, ambience terrific and food to die for. Up there with Michelin starred eateries. Not cheap at £90 a head (that’s for three courses with a few drinks, including service), but good value. They need to work harder on their non-alcoholic drinks offer. Heineken Zero beer is not a beer I’d serve in a first class restaurant, and serving Sprite rather than a lemon presse is a bit naff. Lots of Irish folk don’t drink alcohol, so really no excuse. Overall, fabulous place and I’ll be back.

It is so wonderful to be able to dine out again. Mrytle Restaurant was an amazing return to a perfect dining evening. The food was outstanding, loved the Irish influence. The starting soda bread was to die for, and so light. There were many surprises throughout the tasting menu that really made it stand out like a Michelin Star restaurant. The staff, were equally fantastic! I can't wait to go back!

Myrtle is a true five star restaurant. We ordered a la carte and from the starters up to desserts everything was exquisite! The service was really attentive and professional and the ambient sends vibes of a warm and refined place with rustic Celtic tones. Definitely going back for the tasting menu. Kudos to the whole team!

Wanted to go here for ages & it didn’t disappoint. Showcasing great Irish produce & fantastic wine pairings. Wish I could remember what some of them were. The front of house were exceptional & also got a chance to thank Chef Anna. Will definitely try something “inspired” by Chef when we open our bakery in Ireland later this year

Maybe the best restaurant we have been to in 2020. Every detail was superb, from the bread to the carrot salad (shockingly good) to the main dishes. Just quality at every step. Highly recommend, if you like michelin quality food and excellent service.

One of the best meals this year. Such delicious and comforting food. We were looked after by the staff and made to feel totally at home. We felt like we were transported to Ireland. The food was of the kind you would serve to family and friends, made with love. The food and staff, Anna, deserve a bigger and more prominent location in the city. I can't praise this enough. It was wonderful. I do hope we can eat here again. Bravo Myrtle team, amazing job.

OK, so I'm Irish, but this quirky menu was so much fun. From Colcannon to Clonakilty Black Pudding, it's all wonderfully thought through and beautifully explained & presented. Anna, the chef also came & said hi to add a personal touch and we all left with lollies, and Belfast tea & cakes for the morning; a really special night in these quiet covid times.

This is comfortably in my top 3 favourite fine dining restaurants in London. The tasting menu is great value for money and not a single dish disappointed. The pacing is just right and the service is warm and un-fussy; this restaurant feels cozy and relaxed in a nice break from many fine dining places. The portions are well judged and we were left full but able to finish everything - they are also very generous with the petit fours! It was also wonderful to see Chef Anna in the kitchen and upstairs chatting to the tables. We will certainly be back!

Very meagre portions, we are still hungry after spending £450 for two (6 course tasting+wine)! Lucky we had a voucher! Food was nice albeit tiny, staff nice, zero atmosphere (on a Friday night), toilets very poor. Overall fine experience but won't be back due to the extortionate price for what you get.

Went for (evening) tasting menu. Very good food, mostly impressive and fairly original – but not quite Michelin star standard, despite being quite pricey. Wine flight was very generous (too much so – felt quite drunk by the end), but not top quality (and not always well paired with the food). Service was pretty good, but not very personable. Atmosphere/setting was nice and refined but felt slightly dated.

So very happy with the Myrtle experience. Everything from arriving to leaving was 100% The staff were so attentive and all our questions including a separate person for advise on the wine - we had two gentleman serving us, they explained every dish on our eight course tasting menu. If I had to choose my favourite it would be Bia Beag Co Cork and the Bacon and Cabbage. Although everything was just outstanding. The 32 Counties was such a sweet surprise and to top it all I got to say hello and thank you for a wonderful evening to Anna.

My partner and I had a lovely meal here. We didn't do the tasting menu as I'm vegetarian but there was choice on the al a carte. The soda bread and butter was amazing. I started with the carrots and then the potato dish and my partner the duck then beef. We shared the chocolate mousse which was very good but the honeycomb was super sticky. Overall, it was delicious and with very friendly service. We sat downstairs and it had a great atmosphere.
