Well what can I say, this is a kids playground and even big kids at that. It was amazing to see all 6 floors and the lego statues that had been made on pretty much each of the floors. Would recommend to families as it Would be good for the children to see and experience but take plenty of money as I'm sure you'll get something for yourselves at the same time. Staff were very friendly and polite.

🧸 Amazing! What a huge toy store. There are a wide variety of toys. A wide variety of brands from all over the world like for example RAVENSBURG, STEIFF, LEGO and so on! Here the parents become children because they themselves find everything fascinating. The exhibition of games and toys is spread over around 5 levels (floors). very nice and helpful staff. Our favorites were the self-created teddy bears in the “Build a Bear” workshop and the Harry Potter area in the basement.

After visiting London a few times my son finally got his wish to visit Hamleys and from his perspective it was VERY impressive. The sheer size of the store alone put a smile on his face. But an 11 year old is easily pleased and you can look on the website for the store info. I consider it my job to tell it like it is. Before visiting please be aware of a few facts that aren’t so widely advertised. * Theres every chance you will have to queue just to enter the store. * The queue is unpleasant, poorly thought out and unpleasantly managed. * Once inside, the staff are not particularly pleasant, child friendly or helpful. * The store is NOT interactive in any respect, in fact children are discouraged from touching displays. * There are no workshops, areas to encourage play or demonstrations in-store. * The toys are well displayed according to brand, type of toy etc. and they have an excellent range of toys. * My 11 year old quickly tired of “window shopping” after he had found the toy he wanted and had most fun posing for the camera next to his favourite displays. * In summary its not an attraction despite the hype - its simply a large toy shop.

From the entrance to the last corner of this place it is absolutely amazing, it makes me smile, it makes me feel happy and it makes me feel a child again. Whatever you are looking for, you can get it in this place and even more, from plush toys to collectors items, Hamleys has everything to make you happy. Some employees do some testings of the toys and small shows and they are fun and very amusing. Love them. Do you fancy some sweets? They got them. There are facilities in the place is nice, clean, spacious and super tidy, it has gel hand stations in the shop to keep it clean and safe for you and your children. This shop is a must, if you want to come and visit London. Have a nice time!❤

It's Hamleys, what more can I say, a multi-floored setting of wonder. Toys of every size, range and to fit most pockets. As an adult I love to wander around as much as any child, demonstrations going on, the new and exciting latest additions. Something that little bit special, character.

Such an awesome experience! It’s not the toys but rather the while atmosphere is magical and brings up good childhood memories. Great staff too! The Harry Potter section downstairs is definitely worth a stop! Also, they have a build a bear section. You can literally find any kind of toy, action figure, LEGOs and much more here!

Hamleys is a delightful place to visit whether you are 2 or 60. Its really a visual treat that spans 5 floors. If your looking for build a bear or Nintendo games or lego to Harry Potter it's all here. The floor staff are super nice and play with games and toys on the shop floor. Even the toilets are themed!!! One of my favourite places is London, 5 stars!

The craziest toy store ever. First, to start, that is huge. Prepare yourself for multiple levels of toys, people, and entertainment. The part that i loved the most is that they show you how to spend your money. They have staff showing you how to play with the toys and making it easy for you to decide on what to get or not. Just amazing and crazy busy

This is a childhood dream come true. This store is super fun, but can be overwhelming depending on how busy it is when you visit. The bathrooms are on the top floor near the cafe, which can be a lifesaver when you're spending such a long time in a giant store. Every toy you could want is here. If you have the time to check it out I definitely recommend it.

Woah, what a place. Never seen anything like this before, kids toys wise. True paradise for kids and parents! Every toy store should be like this. Kids can play with many things, product demonstrations are really cool, just a bit too commercial. What they do is way too rehearsed and they make sure you either feel guilty not to buy it after demonstrating something or they'll make sure they'll push things in the hands of your kids so you feel bad as a parent to have to pull this of their hands again. If you can handle this, it's awesome to see and experience everything. 6 floors perfectly themed with loads and loads of toys. It's only bizarre hot inside. Especially on the higher floors. Highlight of the vacation for our kids for sure. Prices are insanely high. We managed to leave without buying anything, but just the experience already is worth it!!

There isn't much that hasn't been said about hamleys which I can add, I will say however try avoid with buggy. Myself and wife had 4 yo and 2 yo in strollers and it was a disaster. Way too busy to navigate and the lift system is a mess, 2 lifts are tiny. The whole experience is unbelievable but If you suffer with social anxiety I would STRONGLY advise avoid as is packed to the rafters all day and queue likely at every till and popular toy. Lego is a big attraction and inspires the kid in every adult to create.

Some pros and cons here The pros, the workers greeting you at the door, (the girls dressed in pirate costumes) they were the highlight of the whole store I'd say, stayed in character and great at their job. The people inside were lovely too. The stands are nice with the demonstrations, though some of the items being sold are at the higher end of the price bracket. We also visited on a hot day and the air conditioners weren't working on the higher floors which lead to a stuffy experience and I felt very sorry for the workers in those conditions. Also only one of two lifts were working which was difficult as we had a friend with a pram and she had to use the escalator.

Loved every moment of our first visit! The staff were so friendly and inviting and there was SOOOO much to see. I really enjoyed the live toy demonstrations as it really intrigued my daughter and opened the exploration of trying new toys. Definitely will be making another visit soon 😁

Absolutely massive stuffed with toys. All kids would love this place but don't come during a heatwave as there's not much AC. I think there's about 5-6 floors each with several performers doing tricks and magic with toys. Even I was impressed with some of them and I'm a grown man

I just absolutely love this place, it makes me feel like a kid again, so much amazing stock really well laid out store, the staff interaction and display is second to none. This truly is still a retail gem and cements the opinion that physical store fronts are required over online only services. Thank you for the incredible experience, each and every time.

Lovely shop, whatever you looking for I am sure you can find it there within it's many floors and different themes. They have some unique items as well. Also, worth to mention toilets located within top floor are nice and clean which is not always the case in the large shops open to public.

What a brilliant and fascinating place. 6 floors if non stop entertainment for the kids. Really is great. The staff are outstanding, considering the amount of customers that are coming through the doors. Great team and management. Lower ground floor most of it is Harry Potter gifts which are £5 cheaper a wand from here instead of Harry Potter tour shop. You can get the wands for £27 and the olivander boxed wands at £30 each They have so many characters its amazing Transformers are located on the top floor Amazing place well worth a visit.

7 floors of pure childish joy. Our 4yo absolutely loved every second of it, from the selection of toys and sweets to the awesome staff interactions. From the dancing out by the main entrance, to the demonstrations, and the conga line that went all through the store. Highly recommended a visit if you have kids of any age.

A real fun place for the young and young at heart. Each floor has a variety of merchandise to offer. Frankly, it isn't easy to keep track of time and the wallet in here. There are staff dressed as Santa's elves greeting you at the door. Jam-packed on a weekday what more during the weekends!

Hamleys is one of my favourite stores in London. 🤩 This is an amazing place full of fun, excitement, and curiosity. 🤗 Laughs 😃, Lollipops 🍭, Toys 🐾, Games 🎢, Experiments 🧭, you name it! Even as an adult I found myself lost in the wonderland of everything pretty much everytime. 😆 Hope you have fun as much as I do. 👀

Not that this place needs more praise, but they sure deserve it. From the moment you step through the front door, you’re greeted by animated, smiley faced staff. Throughout the 7floors, there are toy demonstrations, sensory bins and magic shows (demonstrating magic boxes available for purchase). It truly was an experience we will not soon forget. I want to point out, that I really appreciated the demonstrators that did not try to sell us toy kits - it made for a much more relaxed experience compared to being pushed to buy. In the end, we walked out of Hamleys with bags full anyways :)

Very cool toys shop! My son spent a lot of time up and down to see everything! Really cool the possibility to customize the puppet.

Hamleys is huge. There is a little of every single toy that you can think of as long as you can afford it. I love that they have lego models places through out the store.

Who can't love hamleys? Amazing toy store, plenty going on and every floor has something different, you can't walk in and NOT find something you want to walk out with. Lifts and toilets inside.

Amazing Shop, 5 floors packed with Toys and friendly staff demonstrating how some work. Well worth a visit for the experience but you will probably find the same/similar products cheaper elsewhere.

What an amazing place for kids. They have toys for everyone. 😋 The only minus was the lift, it took ages to get one and one wasn't working. So better to come without a stroller.

Always a great experience for us and the kids. Bit of queue but it was December when we visted so that's to be expected. Packed full of toys on 5 different floors. Brilliant staff selling and demonstrating toys with a smile all the while. Didn't have to wait long at the tills. The Lego floor is my absolute favourite. Will be back till year!

As always, the most amazing experience. Ensure you get there before 10 so you can watch the bell being rang to open the store, elves are on hand to sing and help too. Be prepared for all kinds of amazing toys, ones you'd forgotten too!

Hamleys took me back to my old days.. Huge department store filled with toys only!! Wish I had my daughters with me... It was also amazing to see Nimbus2001 that I couldn't find in the HarryPotter store!!

Such a fun store for both kids and adults, just fun to hang out on a rainy, cold day. So lucky to have it right at our door step! Love the display tables they have... full of unique and fun stuff. Can't get enough of it and soooooo much more fun than the Disney store!!!!!!

Oh boy what an experience this was. I (24f) really enjoyed walking around the store. Everything was way more expensive than I'm used to in the Netherlands. But there are so many demonstrations of the toys they sell. I would have loved to see more board games. But overall a great free experience and a lovely place to shop at.

Hamleys is a must-visit destination for anyone who loves toys, games, and fun. The store has seven floors of amazing products, from classic teddy bears and dolls to modern gadgets and video games. There is something for everyone, no matter what age or interest. The store is also a great place to experience the magic of toys. There are live demonstrations, interactive displays, and friendly staff who are always ready to help and entertain. You can see toys come to life, try them out yourself, or join in the fun activities and events that happen throughout the year. Hamleys is not just a store, it is an adventure. You can spend hours exploring the different sections, discovering new and exciting things, and feeling like a kid again. Whether you are looking for a gift, a souvenir, or a treat for yourself, you will find it at Hamleys. I highly recommend visiting Hamleys if you are in London. It is one of the best attractions in the city and a wonderful way to enjoy some quality time with your family and friends. Hamleys is more than just a toy store, it is a world of wonder.

Very nice toy store. You can find a lot of toys. Certainly those from recent promotions (Harry Potter, Paddington, Disney, ...). Many toys are demonstrated by the friendly staff who also explain how to use it. The prices are not the cheapest but you need to buy a souvenir from this typical toy store.

This is probably the most busiest toy store I've been to. 5 levels of joy for toy lovers, great staff had a laugh with a few and very helpful. If you like plushies there is a whole level dedicated to it. My favourite was the gaming and funko basement!

  • 5/5 Vivian S. 8 months ago on Google
Fun toy store as a toy store should be. Lots of variety and staff demonstrating fun toys. Lift goes up to 5th floor for the colorful bathroom. Smallish book collection but has all the cool London stuff.

Such and amazing place having come from the US here on vacation. It has so many floors of just toys and collectibles. We grabbed some Peppa dolls for our daughter and while there found some Harry Potter wands for us, and also some build a bear clothes for our kids as well. The employees seemed to enjoy the place and having fun playing with toys with the kids and seemed very knowledgeable for what we spoke to them. Lots of cool things to see, and it has been around since 1760, and in this location since like the 1880s.

Reminded me a lot of FAO Schwartz in NYC. As a big kid, I loved just how much there was to see and how colorful and friendly the environment and employees are. The only con here is he prices. Good lord! How does it sustain itself?

Visited the Santa Grotto in Hamleys store and it was a lovely experience! The elf’s were so welcoming and friendly. They really played it well. The Santa was magical! We even got a little gift! Absolutely beautiful experience and totally worth of the money!

Was as wonderful as when I was 5 years old. My son loved the performance before the store opened. Lots of wonderful toys and Teddy's. Lovely staff and toy shows. Has a few surprises with a cafe and handed and gretel ice cream bar. Thoroughly enjoyed it here.
