For £17 both the cheeseburger and the chicken burger had the least amount of effort possible. You can get something bigger and better from McDonald's. When you charge this amount of money, you need to at least put enough care to make it an enjoyable meal. Obviously, the environment was great, and the staff was friendly too.

I very much enjoyed my gourmet salad. If the light lunch options weren't unavailable till 16:00 I never would have discovered this fantastic dish. I certainly won't be needing dinner tonight.

Food was excellent, pricey but with high quality ingredients. The watermelon and tomato salad was amazing. Only one complaint, when you are charging these prices spend an extra penny per customer and get some decent napkins.

Seems like we aren't the only people who think the pavilion bar/grill is a rip off tourist trap. If you like getting a children's burger with the ingredients from the local cheapest supermarket with zero quality for £18 go for it but otherwise don't. Service is poor, " the bar is ignoring online drinks orders" was the explanation from the waitress when she finally brought the drinks.

Pretentious vibe with extortionate prices in rapport to the trash quality provided. The cheapest possible ingredients used to assemble an £18 burger. £6.5 for a 330ml Peroni not even night clubs charge that much for a small beer. Also price point at which we had to carry our drink to the table from the bar and request limescale stained glasses. Proccesed meat used in the burger Absolutely tasteless and bland with the texture of a wet sponge. The melted cheddar survived Chernobyl and landed at Kew Gardens. The chips were bland and had no texture except for the ones that were left in oil for too long. Then you could enjoy a lovely burst of oil in your mouth which coated your whole palate so you could no longer taste anything but burnt oil. Which in a way is a benefit since you don't have to taste that beef burger. The room temperature was too low and a cold draught continued to motivate the guest to leave. Since the doors were wide open in November.

If I could I'd give it 0 star!!! We were attracted to the Pavilion after reading the menu with words like "farm products" etc. What a scam! What a huge disappointment. Just look at the picture... Tiny portions, cheap products (1 salad leaf at the end of its life), a few tiny slices of gurkin thrown onto a tastesless brioche bun, tasteless tomato. Had to put my glasses on to find the burger... No effort to present nicely on a far too big plate for what's served on it. All this for an extortionate £18. At least the chips were crispy... Never again!! I should have read the reviews before. I hope my review helps the owners to change but given the amount of negative reviews posted in the past and no change I guess they just don't care.

'Pavilion Bar and Grill' , food beautifully presented but very overpriced. Friendly staff. 'PP' next to food options for 'purely plants'. It wasn't obvious to us this meant Vegan until we asked, as there seemed to be no acronym key on the menu.

Very disappointed experience, we went on a quiet Thursday, the staff at the bar who took our order was unwelcoming and got our orders quite wrong. Thankfully the allergy requirements were noted correctly. The rump steak was extortionately overpriced and tasted very bland but chips were good. The chicken dish was delicious but the burger and the chicken nugget were very bland. We could eat very well in other restaurants nearby for the same price. Extremely disappointed given the atmosphere and the location

It is a nice mid-garden eatery. The atmosphere is really nice. You can sit outside under the vines, which is nice. Watch out for bird poop. We were a bit surprised at the price as we expected it to be much higher for an interior eatery in a garden. It was £17.50 for two portions of chips and a massive chicken club sandwich. Not too bad.

Awful, rip off food but lovely setting Served a very sad, cold desiccated cheese burger with an offensive £18 price tag. A MacDonalds at half that price is better. Really sad as it’s a lovely setting outside amongst the trees. People at other tables had the same issues. Clearly this place relies on its location and not quality. A wasted opportunity to serve fresh, natural ingredients and dishes. Don’t bother

Eurgh, the typical overpriced tourist trap. I cant believe I fell for it! I paid £9 for the cod cheeks and received 3 tiny fish fingers. Overcooked on the outside, cold on the inside and swimming in oil. I couldn't eat it. Waste of money and a bit of a tarnish on an otherwise perfect day out.

If I could give 0 star for food, I would. It's daylight robbery! I didn't know whether to cry or laugh when I received the burger. I paid £18 (!) for a burger that was not worth more than £4. Avoid this place at all cost!

The food here is nice, not fantastic but it isn't why you would visit. The atmosphere is fantastic, you feel as though you're in the heart of the gardens. The wine choices and pastries are absolute winners here on a sunny day

When we asked if they had soup the server was rude even though for years it had done soup. This used to be a reliable place for a reasonable hot lunch now it is over priced and too fancy. Please can it go back to being reliable. We left as it had nothing we wanted
