The Mills are a hidden gem of sw19, with a lovely selection of pubs restaurants and assorted local businesses. Beautiful in its own way at every time of year always with something different going on. Recommend.

An amazing place full of grill bars and restaurants. Right in the middle you can shop around the stalls. Please visit Hindicrafts4u stall with beautiful display cushion covers and authentic ethnic Indian artefacts. Worth it.

I liked this place. It is considered a 'mall' with shops, cafes and restaurants. The stores were closed due to the lockdown but still, it was enjoyable to see the place. Has a nice scenery next to the river. It is nice to walk past it on the way to the park as part of the daily exercise. Will be looking forward to visiting when it opens.

Nice historic place to visit even when the shops are closed due to lockdown. The former textile mils were associated with William Morris and Liberty & Co.l, but are now artisan shops, studios cafes and restaurants.

After a few years of not visiting the place, I can see that it has more to offer now with many more varieties of shops and restaurants. Great place to just browse the shops and chill with a drink on a lazy weekend.

This is such a lovely are for the locals of Colliers Wood. Really beautiful vibe going on which gets absolutely rammed when the weather is really hot. It was so sad during the whole covid lockdown, to walk past this area, desolate with no people or atmosphere whatsoever. This place really gives Colliers Wood a lovely little villagey feels, with the lovely sound of the mill churning in the river. The bars are just great too. Lovely staff. Beautiful energy, and music playing all the time. Colliers Wood is a special little area, and this place is the absolute epitome of the whole experience that is Colliers. Well done everyone! 👌🙏🙌❤️

Great area - staff in the heritage building opened up the Mill wheel so that we could have a closer look. Book sharing point in a lovely garden area (near Mill)

I visited yesterday which was a Friday afternoon. Which was a pretty sun and hot Day, and there was a good amount of people eating and drinking at the local eating places. Of which there was plenty to chose from. However, I did notice that apart from Charlie's Rock shop and an Art gallery. There aren't any other businesses to visit, during the week. As the vast majority of are now shut. So I would imagine that the best time to visit would be at the weekend when the market is on and that way, you can have the full Abbey Mills experience.

Hard to believe we have this gorgeous place in London. Although we visited midweek with not much happening, the river and winter trees were beautiful. A visit to Charlie's Rock Shop is a must and seems to be open every day. I bought a Himalayan Salt lamp for my son for Christmas, I'll go back tomorrow and get one for myself!

Lovely setting and a really nice looking pub. Drinks were nice however the food from the pub was bang average. Not to mention that they forgot 2 key ingredients in 2 meals (bacon for one, sweetcorn for another) and they also forgot one of the other meals entirely. Lovely place to meet friends for a drink, wouldn't recommend eating there

Great place to relax after a walk trough the park. Good food and cheap prices as well. (E.g. a burger with fries for under £6)

if somewhere was to be defined as the coolest place in the world then I guess this is it. It's tradition and level of interestingness is off the scale. The unpretentious depth of cool is here and plain to see. From the Utopian genius of William Morris and his devotion to an amazing aesthetic still his vibe resonates through the place. Its the more charming and divinely historic and unmodernised and away from the world in its own country kinda way. The river provides a great feel and the music drama food bars and sheer life is a breath of fresh air in any day or night . The busy children's theatre is it's amazing gift to the people of south London. Sunday music on the bandstand is worth a journey. The mini venues and bistros are so lovely it's my new fave home from home. 10/10

Lovely location on the banks of the Wandle. Historic connection to Liberty the famous store in Central London, as well as The Arts and Crafts Movement through a connection to William Morris although I thought he was better known for his connection to his birthplace of Walthamstow and Hammersmith. Well worth taking time to explore properly but my recent visit didn't allow me that luxury. I'll say that not everything here is worthwhile but as they say "beggars can't be choosers".

I was surprised this place wasn't as busy. There are good selection of restaurants and pubs. Prices are reasonable. If you want to spend couple of hours in a quiet beautiful environment then this place is ideal.

Lovely for an after work drink. Enjoyed looking round the arts and craft shop and learning more about the history along the Wandle river,

It's a little cultural oasis in the middle of a concrete jungle. It's wonderful to see the mill wheel sitting over the river, in It's original position. The food on offer there is good value and excellent quality (I recommend the vegetarian breakfast).

This is a fantastic gem in Wimbledon area! If you don't know the place, you must go! Especially during the weekend is so bubbly and full of people enjoying a drink or food or the little market of handcraft products! During my last visit also the pottery was open which was very nice!

First time here for a while. Decent bars and restaurants but it has lost the wonderful crafts feeling it used to have. The long shop used to be full of stalls selling arts and crafts. There are lots of empty units too. Maybe it's different in the summer?

A gem hidden in South Wimbledon, with lots of independents on the Wandle river front with a huge outdoor seating area. The owners of the shops and bars are all eager to make your visit an enjoyable experience! Definitely worth a visit for the pottery at the Wheelhouse, a drink at The Merton Apprentice and dinner at one of the many great options. Highly recommend, plus you will be supporting independent businesses!

Always a pleasant place to visit. The water mill was closed during opening time, maybe because the shopkeeper went for lunch or comfort break, in which case he should have pit an appropriate sign up. Most places were closed when we went. Would recommend for a great lunch or brunch.

The kind of place I could take a book to and spend all day relaxing, only a few shops there, also market stalls on certain days, a lovely cafe with a good selection on the menu and fairly priced. Been there before and will be back again.

Great place for food and drink when the weather is good. Pricing of drink is decent. Double gordons pink with lemonade 7 pound. The place that sells bratwurst is top tier 👌

It great to see some normality returning to Merton Abbey Mills. More restaurants and cafes are open. On this occasion we visited Pink and Poppy Atelier which is a lovely gallery with a wonderful mix of Art on offer. Iwona the bubbly owner is approachable, fun and has great enthusiasm and knowledge about the artists of the work in her gallery.

Too many food outlets today for my liking. Preferred it when the main central building was full of traders too. The William Morris is a decent boozer though.

I really like Merton Abbey Mills, it has a relaxed atmosphere. There are so many unique eateries you will have a hard time picking one for lunch. There is also a small market with home made products and crafts. there was only a dozen or so stalls but it was cold and wet, I'm sure when I've been before there were more there. It makes for a nice relaxed afternoon out and Deen City farm is a short walk away too.
