I did my graduate degree at KCL and I can absolutely not recommend this university to upcoming students. I got excited when I received an offer and thought I will study at one of the best universities for psychology. When your abroad Kings College sounds nice and like a good place to study. Honestly, I have no idea how they get their rankings they must pay for it. The professors were always abroad and rarely answered their emails. I saw my tutor only once the whole year because she was never there. No support thoughout the year and I had the feeling they do not care since they already had their money. Also the IT-equipment, the building and the restaurant was not great. For the high student fee I paid I expected a lot better. Paying more does not mean better university! I applied to 8 universites at the UK but Kings was the only one to take 50 pound application fee. Even the graudation cost money. Many international students returned to their countries because they did not get a job in the UK due to visa requirements or only unpaid offers. Says a lot about the quality of their M.Sc. degree. If you want a good study experience go to any other place but I can tell you Kings is not worth it. I wished someone told me this two years ago.

I went for a campus visit. Infrastructure is decent. Students gave mixed reviews. Jobs after studies is a major concern. A consultancy firm was doing an activity on campus to let them understand careers in consulting. Security is pretty good. Cafe and tuck shop both are expensive .

This review is about King's College London which is a public research university and located in London. It was adream come true to finally see and visit this place while spending time with family in the UK. With bit research I found that the College is selective, which means in every few hundred few get selected. It’s one of the most prestigious faculties of its kind, it was ranked 6th in the UK. The College is open to tourists, local visitors and students and this is how they make extra money. The place is very old and looks like less maintenance been carried over the years to upgrade & modernize the College. Kings has a particularly distinguished reputation in the humanities, law, the sciences and all the things you see around as you walk is very evident. King's College London holds a Student Visa license issued by UKVI that allows to bring overseas students into the UK to study, so most of the overseas students on a programme of 6 months or more will need this visa and its quite expensive. There is a lot to see at the campus like the Chapel, Roman Bath & The Vault. I wished if the college was more open to welcome other students of all walks of life.

Don't believe this kind of UK education. It's one kind of digital trap for Int. students. U will lose a huge money but get no value in ur career. This uni professors' teaching quality is extremely bad. Almost 98% graduates don't get relevant corporate job. It takes even four yrs fr them to get job.

Sky-high fees for international students but insufficient administrative staff to process the necessary visa paperwork in a timely fashion in order for people to make arrangements for visa and accommodation in one of the most expensive cities on earth. Add to that the administration process during the degree is also abominable, and they have still not filled in a simple two minute form after two weeks, which is costing money every day due to their ergregious behaviour.

My niece who has been taking online courses from this university is looking into coming here for study. From the reviews I have been reading, I feel like there are a lot of fake positive reviews. Anybody can tell that they were written to attract the international students from certain country. I warn all parents who are looking for university for their child be aware. Do your due diligence and do your deep research into this school before sending your child here.

made me wait 6 months just to get auto rejected by UCAS on the very last day of the deadline because they couldn't be asked to reject people themselves, and then proceed to give contradicting answers to people's questions about this. they obviosuly do not treat their students with respect, no wonder they have terrible student satisfaction. for your own sanity do not apply here.

Prestigious uni based in the heart of London. I did my BA in English/Film here & very much enjoyed. My favourite modules included The Life of the Sonnet & the cult Cinema/Hollywood courses. The teachers are renowned, many of whom have published books & theses. My degree boosted my confidence & skills for working in the media industry.

I studied at King's College London for five years. When I was a master's student, my dissertation was wrongly accused of academic misconduct for no reason. I have no fault whatsoever. But the score for the dissertation was inexplicably downgraded. The master's experience was really bad and disgusting. Endless strikes, unfair grading, indifferent staff. As a result of attending this university, I suffered a lot psychologically. KCL was not like this 5 years ago. Not recommended now. It hurts to see my alma mater deteriorate. But it must be scored low. I would give it the lowest rating on the graduate questionnaire survey. Just like you can't do justice to my dissertation.

Mediocre and overpriced university. Professors only read slides and follow western mainstream scholars. We never have classes (missed 3/4 of my course) and we’ve been waiting for our results for 4 months because there are strikes every day. Student advice never answer their emails, even when it’s urgent (getting important documentation for my council). Waste of money and time. Avoid!!!

King's College London (KCL) is one of the largest institutions of the University of London, welcoming learners and scholars from all over the world since 1829. Multiple campuses in central London with many attractive buildings some ancient and some modern. Among them Somerset House at the Strand is the flagship building. The courtyard in front of Somerset House is one of my favourite spots of KCL, with the high-flying red balloon, we can all sense that love is in the air, love is everywhere. In winter, the courtyard is frequently turned into an ice skating rink making the campus full of energy and full of life.

King’s College London is an awesome university in London. It offers reasonable tuition fees compared with the huge amount of assignment and exams. It’s worth your money and you can get a personal tutor as well. I especially love the library in Waterloo Campus. It even has shower rooms in the building so you can live there for free!

One of the best university in the world Fabulous architecture Pleasant weather Blessed with beautiful greenery and nature Highly expertise professor and college staff Offers wide range of courses Its ranked in top 30 most prestigious university in the world Campus also has lake view ,boating and much more But The fees is very high and its very hard to get admission in this college . Its my dream college and I wish to study here but due to financial problem I'm not able to fulfill my dream . Fees can go upto 30000 euros/ pounds a year which is too expensive But remember this fees is worth paying because studying in this college will help you a lot .it focuses on overall development of the student . It will also add a great value to your resume If you willing to study in UK then do apply in kings college, university of Manchester, bristol,Southampton ,London ,imperial college London ,Cambridge, oxford These are the best universities of uk

The security/reception team at the entrances of all campuses (the men in suits) are the most unpleasant and unhelpful public-facing team I have seen in my life. And this is not based on a one-off, I did my undergrad here and have visited a few times since graduating. Whether you are a visitor, a student or an alumni; whether you approach them to ask for directions, because you signed up to an event and need access to campus, lost your student card and have to go into class, want to get your bike from the parking after a certain hour... these people hardly ever fail to treat you like a piece of .... Condescending, unwilling to help, making you feel like an annoyance and unwelcome and generally just lacking the most basic manners that all people in public-facing jobs have. It's beyond me how an institution like King's allow that sort of people to be pretty much the first point of contact for some of the most common interactions with the university (accessing the facilities!).

The history department, especially the new head, is very rude and unhelpful. Another cash cow university to attract international students with mediocre standard of teaching, rude staff, unhelpful professors who are always striking and almost never respond to emails and when you email them again they get very rude - how dare you disturb them. Extremely wealthy university that can’t pay their staff properly which leads to continuous strike actions and missed lectures and seminars. No compensation of course £30k in debt for this ridiculous experience and standard of teaching. Some professors I had were really good and I will undoubtedly cherish everything they’ve taught me. However, the way the department is run just ruins the experience for the student. In the end, they don’t care about you and your well being. You’re just cash for the institution and that’s about it. Don’t have very high hopes about this university. Wasn’t my first choice and rightfully so. ***this university keeps getting worse and worse - was told today at maughan library that I can’t use the PCs as an alumni! What can I do as an alumni? Regret my choice to study at kings????? USELESS

Took 120 Pounds as application fee for MSc, the highest I've ever seen, only to be put on hold after 5 months of silence. Looking at other reviews here, I can definitely imply that the its high rankings are dubious and it is another cash cow university.

Was on call to student services for over 1 hour 5 minutes because they were clearly not bothered to pick up. 20 minutes in only one person ahead of me what was that Individual for over 40 minutes speaking about. Then I called back to make a complaint and the someone put me through only to be cut off. All I had was a simple question which I’ve asked other universities and it has not taken them 2 minutes to answer me. I would of loved to apply here to study Law however I will not be doing so.

I had some of the best lectures. Always felt encouraged and supported. The library was great. The ambiance at the institution felt right. It was a great experience and I met some really nice people. I would study here again. There could be more in the repertoire of post-graduate courses but it’s a brilliant institution with excellent links nonetheless.

I graduated in June 2021 and my tutors and course were very good, with some of the staff going above and beyond to make the learning experience a good one Unfortunately the university itself is sorely lacking and my experience was, for the most part, very disappointing The culture and atmosphere are horrid and the university is generally hostile to home students: I got the distinct impression that those from a working class background were very much considered second-class students because of the lower fee rate payable In one hilariously depressing incident, a student in my class was allowed to plagiarise twice with no repercussions. Though, given that the student in question was an international student and was paying nearly twice as much as me (a home student) in fees, I suppose this is actually a very reasonable response to such dishonesty - since as we all know, money doesn't grow on trees. I can also only assume that the university mentions the word "diversity" at every opportunity in the hopes that if it is said enough, it will become true. Pro-tip: there is none

Came for a course on R in September and we (the organiser and all the students) had so many problems getting a stable internet connection in the PCs room. I also struggled to get wifi on campus. In addition, the building where we did the course was so old. Very disappointed considering it has such a high ranking...

I have been broken by this uni in every single way. I study nursing. You will get no compassion from staff unless you get a good personal tutor. You'll be messed around to the point you don't believe it. Absolutely no student support available, the counselling is at breaking point and can't offer appointments. Occupational health is discriminatory and extremely rude. I could go on. Don't put yourself through it

Never would I have thought that an institution (which somehow claims to be renowned) lies to its students, steals their money and wastes their time. Absolutely no care for students. They cut off all my student finance in the middle of the semester and refused to give me my bursary, and almost left me to starve and unable to pay rent, and still wouldn’t help me, and kept threatening me with legal action to pay my rent. Feels more like a scam than what they advertise as a ‘student experience’. Lectures are cheaply made PowerPoints that can be found on Google. Half the time there aren’t even lectures anyway because of strikes, as this ultra wealthy university refuses to pay its staff a decent wage. Not to mention the wokeness - white staff here aren’t even allowed to take part in tai chi classes. Save your time and money and go elsewhere.

Visited King's College London 3 weeks ago the University is great for studying healthcare/dental related courses, the campus we visited had the facilities and infrastructure to support students to do well. The campus is large and centrally located near the River Thames and Underground station, it is not too far from the High Commission of Australia.

I stopped my studies early because I was not satisfied with the quality. Now I've switched to another university and I've been very satisfied so far. I think I was tempted by the name "KCL", which in reality was not world-class. I took the distance course Master of Science "Advanced Cyber Security". I took two modules (security management and cryptography) My criticism points are: - Each module has 6 weeks, but practically only 5, since the last week is primarily where you prepare for the exam. For some modules this is definitely too short. - No practical exercises so far. - The teacher only has 1 hour a week for us. A further hour was temporarily granted on request. - The content is very old or does not correspond to the state of the art. For example, historical ciphers were taught for a week and later tested, which does not help me in my life. Many new topics were missing. I can not recommend the program. I paid as of now ~ 3000 EUR without relevant value for me.

I studied law here for a few months before I dropped out (to pursue a different degree). From what I could tell the lecturers are really qualified and good at what they do. The law department was well organised but I have heard that some other departments are an admin nightmare. The welfare team were really supportive and game me great advice when I needed it. My academic tutor at the time was also lovely. The people make the place for sure.

KCL has a bit of an identity issue, so it spent a few million changing its name from The King's College, London to King's College London. In the meantime, its thousand or so slightly lost students crammed together in inadequate housing in zone 4, convincing themselves that they enjoy commuting to the strand daily for a lecture on applied marxism

Cash-cow for Asian students. Classes are filled with an undiverse cohort of at least 50% students from China or adjacent Asian countries. Don't get me wrong they are not the ones to blame, yet, due to this concentration as a normal European person you feel excluded from many lectures, as even the lectures are from China, leading to the fact that they will often just speak their language with each other. If you are young and European go to the nordic countries or the Netherlands for studying!

The buildings, the staff and the teaching is excellent here! I love the city and the whole vibe of this university! The only thing is that the admin is absolutely terrible. Confusing timetables that sometimes don't match real classes. Admissions was also a pain - you might need to call them and be firm with them in order to get things done, especially an issue for international students on visa. I have spoken to some undergrad students who did their Bachelor's in other parts of the UK like me, and we agree that KCL really lacks in this comparison.

So much infighting at their Law School, budget for the school is not managed properly, the school's administrative systems are not organised, the workload amongst the support staff is not equal and there are overlaps. The school tends to retain over paid senior Admin staff who are simply not proactive and enjoy limited remits. Time and money is wasted on ongoing recruitment for temporary agency staff for their much needed front line role but agency staff are resented for their hourly rate so are not retained for that reason. Not a pleasant place to work. Would not recommend starting any studies there either, programmes can cease at any point due to its poor management and over spends.

KCL Is an amazing prestigious university, don't be fooled by the bad reviews if you actually read them properly most of them are from salty international students or people who didn't get in. Theres a reason why KCL is ranked top 50 in the whole work and top 10 in the UK. And many of their courses are ranked REALLY high. It's not just random rankings from thin air, it's because they have the best research and facilities for their courses. KCL have been so fast with providing information etc. Once I got in they have been really fast with everything. The actual application process is long for everyone, and thats for most high ranking universities, so either be patient or just don't apply! It's not nice to bash a university for not giving you a place or making the wait long, there are deadlines placed for a reason! So be patient. I would always recommend King's to anyone since my experience with them so far has been amazing.
