Beautiful, easy-to-access place right in a gorgeous part of London. Easy to walk to Big Ben and the London Eye, and within a short walking distance of many bus stops and taxi stops. (Also near the palace). Staff are kind and efficient, and mostly leave you to your devices. The stove and microwave can be annoying to use at first, but ultimately served our purpose until the end. Definitely recommend this place! Also down the street from a VERY popular pub called Sherlock Holmes. Enjoy!

We rely heavily on reviews when planning our vacations so wanted to make everyone aware of our experience. When we first checked in we waited for two hours for our room, when we got to our room our bathroom was extremely dirty, the toilets were not cleaned properly, has crust around the lever and the tub was nasty. Luckily i had Clorox wipes on me I used it. There aren’t any housekeepers that come to the rooms to even replace your towels never the less clean the room. I felt for a 4 star hotel the place was unsanitary. The staff was also not as helpful as I would have thought they’d be. My husband simply asked where he could find something and he was told “Google it” The customer service was not that of 4 stars. I do not think I will be staying at another Citadines location again. The pictures are misleading.

What a pleasant surprise! After reading all the negative reviews I was wondering if we had made a huge mistake by booking to stay here whilst in London for a short break. I needn't have worried! Our room was spotlessly clean, nicely decorated with a comfortable bed and in a perfect location for all the city sights. Front of house were pleasant and courteous.... service with a smile. Will definitely stay here again.

Great location adjacent to Trafalgar Square. Rooms were fine with a mini kitchen, hob, dishwasher and microwave. The hotel was noisey but that was just rude guests. We had the breakfast which was nothing special but adequate.

BURGLARY! My family stayed at this hotel between December 27th 2022 and January 3rd 2023. We had a total of 7 rooms. On December 31st my aunt noticed that her handbag had been tampered with. A whopping $1000 USD and a Gold chain set was stolen. At this hotel, you pay for housekeeping on request. My aunt chose to not have this service, yet someone entered her room and stole! It was only after we all left the hotel and arrived at our home destinations, family members noticed smaller items were also stolen from their bags such as a Bose Headphones and more jewelery. Though these items seem small in comparison to the US dollars and Gold jewelry, this was still a breach of privacy. This staff member entered all our rooms without permission and rummaged through our personal belongings. For the price point of this hotel, this is absolutely unacceptable. Be aware!

A bit pricey for what it was but a great location 😀👍 we weren't expecting a pull out sofa bed but it was ok. Clean, tidy and helpful with storage for luggage. Would stay again 👍

Room was clean, service was great. Having the tiny kitchen with a seating area was super nice. Pretty quiet despite the central location. The best thing about this hotel is the location. It's very walkable to many restaurants and sights. The bus stations and the Underground are extremely close; can't emphasize enough how important this is to making your life easier and for planning your time. Highly recommend, and I'd stay here again the next time I visit London.

The first two nights were a disaster. They weren’t able to check us into a room although i contacted the hotel through the app specifying that i will be coming from a 7 hour flight and i still had to wait 5 hours to get into a room which was NOT CLEAN at all dust and hair were all over the nightstand and bed and the room smelled like wet clothes (probably from the unwashed shower curtain), and on the second day a sudden unannounced water outage happened without any prior notification from the hotel just woke up and found there is no running water the reception told me that there was plumbing work going on in the floor and they moved me to another room which was a lot cleaner and more comfortable. However, the ceiling in the corridor suddenly fell down ( apparently from a water leak). Also worth mentioning that the building IS NOT WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE. Had to pick up my daughters stroller up and down every time we left and came back. Some positives includes a superb location ( about 10-20 min walk from most attractions), the staff were really nice and polite. Overall it was fair but i wouldn’t book here again

Excellent location! Any nothing else excellent apart from that. For a hotel that claims to be 4 stars, and chargers like a 4 star, its not very well maintained, e.g heating in room does not function very well, bathrooms are not very clean. Customer service is missing…except for one guy on the reception who was excellent, all other staff made you feel as if they are doing a great favour by allowing you to stay in their hotel.

The hotel has a beautiful presence from the exterior. Lobby is nice, well appointed and the staff is wonderful. Great coffee machine for morning pick me up. And the location cannot be beat. However, this is where the positives end. We stayed in a two bedroom apartment and it left a lot to be desired. The tiny living room is on the first floor and the bedrooms are above vía a very narrow and winding set of stairs. So narrow in fact, that you cannot take your luggage up the stairs. And if you have bad knees or mobility challenged it will be a very difficult situation that was not mentioned in the room description. Further, The layout is terribly awkward and there are doors everywhere. You have to go through a door to get upstairs. Then a door to access the hallway. Then another door to get to each living quarter. Worse, the toilet is downstairs and the shower is upstairs. Both are very tight and narrow. Barely enough room for a person. The shower was full of mildew and the fixtures have seen much better days. Not sure what the other rooms in the hotel are like, but the two bedroom apartment left much to be desired. And for the price - which was quite a bit, we could have gotten two hotel rooms at either the Corinthia or Royal Horseguards which are both a block away. We’ve stayed at both of those properties and there is just no comparison. We thought we would try the apartment at Citadines this trip but overall it was a disappointing stay. We decided to check out and move elsewhere. We shall not be returning here. It makes me sad to leave this kind of review because this property is beautiful and historic. It has so much potential but sadly it fell well short of expectations.

My experience at the place was great, the room are clean and we were able to check in earlier than expected since we arrive there so early. The location were amazing with short walk to any important sites.

This hotel just seems to get worse with each stay and they win, this will in fact be my last stay. The hotel is NOT a 4 Star anything, it's a 2 star at best and I'm being generous. The halls are nasty, dirty walls with even dirtier filthy carpet. Rooms appear to have not been cleaned since opening along with painting of the walls. Yes, it's that bad!! Toilets that don't flush, mold in the shower and around the sink. Sheets that are so thin you can read through them. An A/C unit that doesn't get cold it stays just 20-21 c in the room, that's it. No matter how low you put it, that's it. And it's as noisy as could be along with a build up of years of dirt on the intake. Do not pay that outrageous amount for their "breakfast", they should be ashamed of themselves. There is free coffee in the lobby, but don't expect a smile or anything from staff, you won't get it. They will watch you stand at the door with both arms full and not open the door. For the amount of money one pays to stay here, there should be more... A LOT MORE. I've stayed at Premier Inn's that were cleaner and offered more amenities, then here for not even a quarter of the cost. Since we're Diamond with Hilton, a Hilton in the future it will be. Save yourself the trouble and your money, find a better, cleaner hotel... BTW, still waiting for the desk clerk to thank me for staying or even look at me at check out. 4 star my fanny.... Laundry Room: £5 for a load a wash, what a crock. The laundry room is filthy dirty, machines are filthy, ruined a few of our shirts from dirt stains from whatever was in the washer. You used to get coins from the front desk for a £1 a load, no more. and it's £4 to dry and the dryers are not vented even though the vent is right there. So you get nice hot wet clothes for the privilege of paying some stupid app £4 to "dry". Yes you have to use some app now in order to use the washers/dryers. I'm sure it will be listed as an app stealing all your information by the Google Play Store shortly...

Fantastic location! However the following need addressed Cleanliness The rooms need a good clean. We were here for 9 nights and our room was only serviced once and for 500 pounds a night one would expect that the rooms would be serviced daily. The rooms did not feel fresh and clean when we arrived and looked Like it needed a good scrub. The toilet smelt Of sewerage during our stay . We did advise Front desk and they did send someone however no one communicated back to us on the outcome . We had a fire drill early in the morning and the staff were hopeless no communication what so ever no sorry nothing at all! The staff in general seemed to be overworked with no smiles just stressed with the exception of the night team 11 pm to seven am the young chap was always smiling and extremely helpful. Whilst the location is great this hotel is getting worst and worst each year and rooms are getting tired and the staff are not the best in terms of providing service. I will not be staying here again . The noise from the local pubs were not ideal either bit they did offer a room Move. Overall staff need training urgently on customer service and rooms need a good clean .

The hotel is comfortable, normal size rooms and pleasent breakfast. It has a great coffee machine(downstairs at the small lobby)so you can make your own coffee, which was a great thing in my opinion. The location also is very good. It is close to everything basicly to arrive to Oxford str.you need 10min. Covent garden 5-6min..i would use it again for sure.

Worst service of all time!! My laundry has been missing for the second day straight and the receptionist refused to call someone to check and refused to let me speak to the manager, he even refused to provide me with the manager’s name. The receptionist also allegedly refused to hand me my amazon packages and refused to get me access to the storage area where the packages were. Extremely bad attitude and worst service of all time, at the end he stopped listening to me as if I wasn’t standing and talking to him. Literally couldn’t have been worse. I filed an official complaint and hopefully action would be taken to rectify things.

We were lucky enough to be going to Cabaret at The Kit Kat club (Playhouse Theatre). Citadines Trafalgar is literally a two minute walk away. It was clean and comfortable and the staff were good. It was just what we needed, a not too many frills, reasonably priced hotel. We stayed in the studio apartment.

Nice location but can't sleep thanks to rattling fridge that cycles on and off. Hotel engineer claims this is "new model" :). Have just had to turn it off completely. Hotel otherwise not bad, but starting to age a bit.

Really nice apart hotel for the money, everything you need in your room to be self sustained. My only issues were the weak shower and the dreaded shower curtain that constantly stuck to me and the bed had the hardest mattress and pillows I've ever used, I literally woke up aching from lying on them. Otherwise, everything was clean and everyone was friendly.

Location is literally few steps away from important sites. Essential needs can be bought just right next door. The building and location is clean and clutterless. Train station just right around the corner. Staff is very accommodating. Front desk and lobby are elegantly arranged. Most importantly, inside the apartment is clean with complete kitchen equipment. Bathroom is fairly new and clean. Bed linens, pillows, and towels are odorless (I find these smelly in other hotels), these are the first things I check when I enter the room. I'm very thankful that I found this place. I highly recommend it!

We spent 4 nights by Citadines Apart'Hotel Trafalgar square London. We booked the studio. Equipment was better than espected (dish-washer and bathtub!) Neighbourhood is really nice and the hotel is really good located : 2 underground stations nearby and Covent Garden and Buckingham are really close, you can walk there. We had breakfast once, on the day of departure, it was very good as well! People at reception were polite and nice. We will come back in this hotel when we come back to London!

Booked at very short notice following an impromptu stay-over in London. The room was spacious and clean. It looks like the hotel is new or has had a recent refurbishment. The reception staff were pleasant and courteous. I would stay here again; in addition, its central London location makes it convenient for most of the major attractions/areas.

Great location. Rooms were good and included a kitchenette with microwave, hob, dishwasher, fridge and utensils. Breakfast is availabe for £15 for an adult (good selection of cerial, waffle, fruit, yoghurt, pastry, etc. The cooked "English" breakfast was disappointing - chewy hash brown, poor quality sausage). Check in and check out took a while due to a very slow computer system.

Have to agree with others. Great location but not a great value. Could probably find a better place for the same price and location. Close proximity to many tube stops and monuments. Not noisy given how busy it is. Beds are old and lumpy so if you have a bad back good luck. Sheets and towels are also scratchy (sheets also had stains?). Nice that each rooms have a small kitchen and dishes. Also good amount of storage for a small studio (apprx 150 sq ft).

Room and bedding very clean. Tea & coffee available also iron and ironing board. Kitchenette useful if you want to save money. Bathroom was good apart from toilet area which needed attention. Shower good, air conditioning good but very noisy had to turn off. Great location for theatre district Breakfast fair value for money at £15.

Very disappointed with the inflexibility and understanding of this hotel. I was in the Riad that crumbled around me in Marrakesh recently, and was due to then fly to London, however changed my plans after this terrifying incident to fly directly home to Australia. The booking was via Qantas Holidays using points and the hotel was given 6 days notice that I wouldn't be coming yet they have informed Qantas that they are still charging and I can't get a points refund. Where is the compassion and understanding? Having worked in tourism for over 30 years, I have never seen a case like this - they would have easily re-sold the room during this period.

Great location but £330 for one night in November! No breakfast option as they have no facilities. Fourth floor room with a high skylight/window you can't see out of. Coffee machine in the foyer. Next time I'll use the tube and save money on a better hotel. Disappointing.

Got given a double bed, ok for me but not so much for my straight mate haha Room was adequate, breakfast was continental but location was amazing. Staff were friendly enough, patient for two Wiltshire tourists(a key card for a lift, whatever next) I'd give more stars but the floor we were on was very tired and had one too many stains in the ceiling.

Tremendous location and so handy for everything. Tesco 5 mins away so you can buy breakfast, etc. without paying for a cafe/restaurant or hotel food. Love this place but beds are a tad too firm; probably the only complaint.
