RACIST!! Do not even go there, I tried getting in on the day of my birthday booked in advance, was on the Guestlist and when we arrived and they suggested for us to go to the next club round the corner . I'm surprised this place is still open, even if you have money they will not let you in. unless your famous or white. If you don't fit that look Id just go elsewhere and save yourself the embarrassment. i hadn't seen the reviews before going but i wish i did now would have had a better birthday.

Zero stars! We were on the guest list and had no problem getting in but this place was the pits. Full of wannabe hustlers slurping Grey Goose and Dom Perignon from plastic cups. Worse still, the DJ cut the music every 20 minutes so everyone could watch some chavs getting their bottle of DP with fireworks and fanfare 🤮 Only women seemingly have to observe the ‘Smart Elegant’ dress code while the guys stroll around in jeans, sneakers and hats. Had I known I would have worn the same. The whole setup is classless, tacky and pretentious AF.

Don’t bother!!! Racist and rude. Went for my birthday with my friends and waited half an hour in the cold to not be let in ,even after contacting the club 3 times to make sure we were on the list.Ruined my night , won’t be back again !

STAY AWAY! Save your money! I wish I can give them negative 5 stars. Absolutely terrible service. I bought tickets for me and my friends for new years, and we waited for HOURS in the queue and we couldn't get in, or get a refund. The problem was, the security, seemed to let many of their friends in! We saw people selling tickets at a premium (i assume because it is new years) and then going to the front of the queue with security not saying anything. This destroyed my new years, and this was the first time in years I was able to go out in London with my friend for nearly half a decade, as I have been based abroad. Really destroyed my night. I wish someone had told me before, well here I am telling you, so you have no excuse. Cheers! I reached out, to enquire about a refund or even maybe an apology or explanation of some sort, NOTHING was responded to. Terrible management, security and staff! Reb

This place definitely deserves 0 stars. My 3 stars go to the security girl named Monique who was very helpful during our time there. P.s please get a new door lady that at least smiles and doesn’t discriminate!!! I believe she thinks she is the CEO of libertine. Someone bring her back to reality

I would not even rate this club one star. The racism my friend experienced was absolutely vile. The woman on the door really needs to get a reality check. At least if you are going to turn away girls make sure the woman on the door with the attitude problem isn’t just turning away people of a different race to herself. As a white woman, how my friend was discriminated for being black, is appalling. I have been to this club before myself, no problem. But as soon as a girl of another race turns up at the door there is a problem. Make it make sense??? I would not spend another penny here. Disgusted is not the word.

This is the most unprofessional and rude club. We were denied entry despite having a legitimate ticket and not even being drunk. We were on time to enter the club and properly dressed. Just because we were Indians they didn't allow us entry. On top of this it was my birthday and I had come with my friends and we faced racism. The manager standing outside didnt even talk to us straight just because “we were indians”. I had paid more than 100 pounds I need full refund for not being allowed entry.

RACIST ESTABLISHMENT! The blond girl at the door with the list is racist, even the security guards. Don't bother going to this club, honestly don't know why this place hasn't been shut down yet. Blondie is gonna get whats coming to her one day - and it'll shock her when it does.

So blatantly racist it’s crazy. When it’s a woman of colour who’s on guest list, they refuse and say that guest list is full. But a group of white girls will get in, on the same guest list. You will only see women of colour stood across from the entrance because they have been told they can’t get in. Would not recommend at all.

Love this place. Quality service and atmosphere, always keeping a good standard and feeling safe (when many clubs went down the hill). May be difficult to get in though.

We had quite an unfortunate experience last night, me and my friends were looking forward to celebrating my friends 19th birthday. We travelled all the way to london for this (first time clubbing in london) and did everything needed to get on the guest list for the club. Our promoter Esam (knowing our ages and what we looked like) reminded us to get there nice and early and said he would be there waiting for us. We got to the club at 10:10 with almost no queue but we were welcomed by a very unwelcoming and rude woman. We were waiting in this queue of just one group in front of us were they had all the time to let us know if there were changes to club (ie. being 21+ instead of 18+) instead the lady rudely picked on one of my friends asking only her how old she was, which felt quite targeted she then came up with quite (what sounded like) a very lame excuse on why we couldn’t get in the club (even tho we were on the guest list which she didn’t even bother to look at). This was very disappointing to see as we thought we would look past the negative reviews online and give libertine a chance however I guess our judgement was wrong. This was complete discrimination as by law it is illegal to judge someone and discriminate someone based on young looks and age. They are extremely prestige and care too much about having ‘high class’ standards, which personally I thought we would fit. To anyone who is reading this don’t bother, our night luckily did not end and we had an amazing time else where, don’t waste your time!

Horrible and degrading experience at this club. I will never go again. They are racist. All the reviews you see about racism are unfortunately correct. We had our names on the guest list and the lady at the door looked at us (group consisted of 4 black women) and proceeded to say "the guest list is full" she didn't even ask us for our names and when asked what she meant by saying the "guest list was full" she dismissed us, with not even an option to pay entry fee. Whilst this was happening I noticed a pattern. They were sending the black girls away and only allowing Europeans and non black women to enter the club. Having this happen in 2023 is very shameful and shows how black women are still undervalued in society. Know your worth ladies and let them have it 😘.

Zero stars! Rude, racist staff, overpriced, tacky club. Has to be one of the worst clubs in London. I'm amazed this place is still open. If only you can go somewhere else (anywhere), do not hesitate!

The place is racist I paid for a table and the lady on the door told me £500 tell me why the bill was £1500. They kept adding random stuff to it like girls who were not even on our table. The staff are blatantly racist as she was questioning me even though I bought a table. I will never be returning to this place again.

My cousin is a Lawyer. Have you been denied entry because of your skin colour? Have you been turned away because you are a group of Men? All of these are ILLEGAL and violates the Equality Act of 2010! Get in touch with ACAS/Your local lawyer ASAP! They are breaking the law if they do any of this. Get plenty of pictures/video if you can. You can also post Tik Toks to warn other people from going here next time!

Honestly if your black and have 1 ounce of pride do not go here. The token black men acting like security letting everyone in who’s white andscrew-facing everyone who’s not . From the lady at the door who is rude and disrespectful to the promoters who are using girls to appear a certain way they will get shutdown. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

I don’t even know how I can give this place any stars. I was here last night and whilst at was at my table, a waitress came up our area grabbed my drink off the table had a gulp and then put it back down and walked away as if nothing had happened. I actually was so taken back that I couldn’t process what she had done at the moment and couldn’t even say anything to her. I did speak to a manager or promoter who gave me a glass of champagne for the “inconvenience” what a weird little place please do better!

Worst club ever. Been there 3 times and had the same problem. Security women is delusional and she’s a bully. Guest lists are made up, don’t bother. We got contacted by 3 “promoters” and when we got there she said that she didn’t know the promoters but other members of staff confirmed that they work there. It will ruin your night/birthday don’t even bother. You’d have to pull up outside with a G Wagon to get let in without any wahala. You’re better off going to Dirty Blonde

Had a table booked for a friends birthday, zero headache on the door even though a large group. Staff were attentive but not too pushy inside which was great. Amazing ratio compared to other places I’ve been to in London. Decent music - great vibes

The service inside the club I have to admit is amazing. They pour your drinks for you and in general they are very attentive. However, the lady who basically decides who gets in on or not is so up herself and extremely rude. I will NEVER be returning to this place because the way she treated me and my friends was disgusting. We got in but some of my friends did not. She spoke down to you. If this is what “luxury” is then Libertine have clearly changed its meaning. You treat people with some dignity. Who knows what she even based who goes in or not but seems like she has no clue what she’s doing because there was a lot of creepy guys (probably rich but who cares) and lots of “good looking” girls. What a joke.

My son went to Libertine on the 3rd of August, with 6 of his friends. They are all black boys, in their early 20’s. They all bought their tickets online, whilst they were in the queue, one of the boys heard a lady tell the security not to let the boys in’ when the boys said we have already bought our tickets, they were then told they wasn’t dressed properly. All the boys where dressed SHARP this was down to it being 7 black boys, the woman of the club stereo typed my son and his friends. Well I’m a London black cab driver, I WILL be letting all the cabbies know what your club is all about, I will never drop no one to your club. I will also be putting in a formal complaint and expect a full apology to my son and his friends. Absolutely disgraceful, would you have turnt away them if they were white boys ??!!!

If I could I would put zero star! Absolute vile behaviour from who I’m presuming was one of the managers!! Traveled over an hour and a half just to see a singer to be told I wasn’t dressed smart enough!! Although I was in jeans and a smart top. On the website it says no dress code but they ask if guests could dressed nicely. My best mate was in a long dress that was a turtle neck. Ok yes she was wearing trainers but she’s disabled and they’re the only shoes she can wear and I was in nice vans soo I don’t see the problem!! If you have a dress code make it clear as I thought I was smart enough but apparently I was too “casual”. Also they say on the website they open at 10.30pm but didn’t let anyone in till 11:10pm soo clearly trying to get as much money as they can get!! I feel like they just wanted us to dress a as sl@gs which some people have dignity and decency and respect themselves!!! Will never recommend to anyone as they discriminate! Vile place and also vile staff

There was an InterNations event on Friday evening. They have security by the door. They check your ID at the entrance. I bough one Redbul and was charged £6.😅There was a DJ. The music was okay. Nicely decorated. There are tables and seats in the club. I can recommend it. It is in a good location. It is 4 minutes walk away from Oxford Circus tube station. 😇💙💙💙💎🎊

Me and my friends had a disappointing experience last night we came from Cambridge to spend our friends birthday to the club which we looked forward to going to and had talked to the promoter Esam before hand and booked in advance he had asked for our age and was very aware we were over 18 and we had been put on the guest list only to be turned away, the women had asked only one of our friends who was with us how old she was and not all of us due to her looking younger she had then walked to speak to her other colleague and then decided to not let us in and say it’s only 21 and over this is a big violation on the equality act 2010, the women Judged our friends looks based on weather she can come in or not based on her looks and age first of all it doesn’t even say on the website that it’s over 21 and second of all the promotor should have been aware of this if it was true. This was embarrassing and humiliating.

Visited a few times now for private events. Huge screen makes for an interesting digital display which is perfect for visual presentations. Small VIP area with it's own toilets near the DJ booth. All Toilets need attention with a foul smell of drains in there. Still, who cares after a fee drinks!

Asked for three tequilas and two bar staff start laughing between each other and then charged me £60 for them. Clearly staff sometimes add whatever tips they want thinking customers are too tipsy to realise. Music is usually good but setup makes less people dance due to seating.

Complete disappointment and waste of time. We were confirmed on the guest list but they said we couldn't enter as it was 'full' and then proceeded to let people after us go in.

Their not racist, I don't understand why people say that. Its simply that the people who pay money for the table and drinks, don't want unattractive women in there. How would you feel if you spend 50k on a table, and its nothing but obese women inside. Posh spot, if your looking to get lit, go to a house party.

Libertine was okay. I had heard some not very good things about the treatment of black people however I cannot say that I experienced this. They played quite urban music which I enjoyed although I felt the DJ could have done a better job and mixing songs. We had a vip table on the night and the waiter on our table was really good and attentive.

Been here several times, and always leave looking forward to my next trip. Excellent Service, music and atmosphere. Reading a few negative reviews on here of people who are clearly bitter at not being allowed in, or jealous of people in hospitality. I've never had any issue and never had a bad night. See you soon Libertine!!!

I attended a friends birthday celebration at Libertine. We met ‘G’ who worked at the club and was very hospitable, our drinks were regularly replenished, he had good knowledge of the drinks menu and was able to advise each of us according to our taste! He really made our night and experience at Libertine enjoyable, nothing was too much for him and he ensured we all had a great night! We will definitely be back.

Libertine is a very disappointing place. Unless you look good, have a lot of money and appropriate skin tone you are not welcome there. Pretentious, overrated sense of importance blended with arrogance of staff. But why did I expect anything else from a place held together by nonsense? I would be so embarrassed to be connected to this in any way, shape or form. Avoid. There are better clubs around.

I experienced awful racism from the security guards this weekend on Friday not only did I queue 3times and was denied entry when I had my promotor inside. It was clear that Libertine is not inclusive and is definitely overhyped. Drinks were average not a good night and the security guards need to be fired as they made me extremely uncomfortable will will come back here ever again. Definitely not an exclusive club but a mediocre attempt to try and make an elitist club very disappointed.

The girl at the door is really rude. I don’t think that that’s the right job for her. Although we were on the guest list, we had to wait to get in. Then we were in front of her and she told us that the club only accepts cash?! And we need to go get cash. We walked away but got in like a few minutes later. Then she let us in and we could pay by card. Idk why she felt the need to lie but ok. Club was way too packed but the music was okay.

Disgusting environment for young women. The policy is men have to pay a minimum spend of £1000s to sit at a table or not allowed entry. Only women are allowed on the guest list. So discriminatory it’s almost unbelievable. If you are a woman with any self respect don’t go here Vibes I get is cattle market where the focus is on supplying a stream of women for blokes on tables to feel better about themselves cause no other men are allowed in! music was fine went to the toilet after 2 hours with 5 inch heels — i tripped coming back (had two drinks and was sober btw) and the security woman decided i need ‘air’ and was ‘drunk’ (i wish lol) so they made me stand in the freezing cold at 2 degrees celsius without my jacket to ‘sober me up’ for 20 minutes. i walked up and diwn the stairs and in a straight line without any help and was still ‘too drunk’ never coming back again — you shouldnt either by the amount of 1 star reviews.
