Thousands of drivers heading eastbound on the M4 whizz past oblivious to this hidden ancient woodland just down the embankment on their left. Delightful when the bluebells come out in May. A shallow, stream runs picturesquely through the woodland, perfect for paddling in with wellies. Unfortunately as this is simply an overflow running from the lake in Osterley Park and into a culvert t the other end it doesn't in itself support much aquatic life. Note: there is no adjoining parking for this nature reserve, the nearest being the Hare & Hounds pub car park. Pedestrian access is also available from the eastern end via a long footpath from Trumpers Way.

This is one of Suburban isolated from city, on enter, one have the feeling of entered into the greenery outside city. It has wood bridges, swings, mini water flow. Good space for walking, through this you can enter the horse stable where many horses grazed out the grasses there. It is a huge space with different flowers.

Bluebells heaven...a feast for the eyes and senses this time of year. There is a little stream with clear water, lots of wild flowers and fauna. Boardwalk keeps your feet dry - fabulous πŸ™‚

Lovely suburban gem - wood, stream, water meadows, and blackberries. Especially good in bluebell season. Does get wet and muddy though - so bring walking shoes or wellies.

A wild spot, hidden in plain sight, and buried so close to numerous London suburbs.

5 minute there in the right direction and its look like you are out of the city. I canΒ΄t give five star because people riding bikes are constantly there in the narrow trail.

Great wooden area, well looked after with wooden paths. I was so surprised I came across this, I didn't expect to have the feeling of being in a forest so close to the city!

A cosy little pocket of well-preserved woodland which is strongly juxtaposed by the M4.
