👍 A lovely little church no longer in use for religious services. Well lit, small and intimate. Excellent venue for piano / music recitals. Comfortable seating and well lit and well ventilated. It’s not easy to travel to unless you have a car, and it’s hidden behind a golf course and isn’t sign posted... People often mention church, venue, music,

A lovely little church no longer in use for religious services. Well lit, small and intimate. Excellent venue for piano / music recitals. Comfortable seating and well lit and well ventilated. It’s not easy to travel to unless you have a car, and it’s hidden behind a golf course and isn’t sign posted at all from the main road. Do not trust google maps to get you there.

A character filled white walled church building with a small wooden tower. This is a charming little building although it can easily be missed, it can be found via a small shelter entrance and then a lane.

A church turned into a dynamic and exciting concert venue. Some of the best young pianists and musicians of today perform here - prize winning international soloists play here almost 3-4 times a week, and entrance is free. The music is hugely accessible , and performed at a world class standard. They host about 150 concerts a year. Check it out!

I visited St Mary's for a piano recital organised by the Liszt Society. The church is hidden from view from the lane and it feels as if nothing has changed in 100+ years. The volunteer team is extremely professional and make you feel very welcome. The pianist was outstanding by international standards and with only 100 or so seats it felt like a private performance. Admission was free, so if you enjoy yourself please be sure to contribute to the production costs.

There are 2 ways to access the church. One is from Pitshanger Park, and the other is from Perivale Lane. The distance from the latter is really just a stone's throw but parking may be an issue if driving. The church is the oldest Anglican church in Ealing, having history since the 12th century. Musical concerts, and/or rehearsals are hosted here from time to time.

I've known this churchyard for 40 years. Once neglected and overgrown but now a lovely and serene, peaceful space. x

The West London temple of Classical Music (and sometimes jazz). A tiny little cultural gem run by a bunch of unbelievably good and friendly guys.

Belongs to the old world of villages and quiet. And gravestones of people we know by street names in Hanwell and Ealing.
