overall: everything was extremely delish & finger-licking. dishes are made for sharing & quite small, hence would recommend going in small groups. kubaneh 🍞: extremely fluffy & buttery, look at that beautiful aerated dough! i prefer to enjoy it by itself as the sauces makes it slightly soggy. white bean m’sabacha 🥚: a spin-off of hummus. love the extra beans on top that adds texture to the grainy texture of the dip. not a fan of the pickled egg though (but that’s just i personally don’t like pickled foods) zucchini tahini 🥒: another amazing dip packed full of umami flavours. to my surprise, this taste very different to the normal tahini served with kubaneh pita 🫓: as per description ‘handmade with love’. comes in 4 cute light fluffy buns. metugan bream 🐟: striking presentation of the fish literally looking at you. the texture of fish is firm (i prefer it) & since the fish is ‘standing up’, both sides are fried crispy, unlike others where the bottom side is soggy. the freshness of the green harissa balances the greasiness of the fried fish. glazed octopus 🐙: super tender juicy tentacles. love the sweet molasses coating the octopus. first time trying kohlrabi as well, texture similar to radish but has a more prominent flavour. beef tartare 🥩: layers of texture, chewiness of the beef, popping tapioca crisps, crunchy sunflower seeds. perfect balance of herbs & spices. josperised aubergine 🍆: aubergines are soft & moist inside, with a grilled exterior. the yogurt just adds an extra creamy texture but light feel. malabi 🥥: thick layer of berries couli but i can still taste the strong coconut. sumac & lemon tart 🍋: a normal lemon tart, couldnt really taste the sumac.

Delicious tapas style food, served at the bar where you can see all the prep and cooking as you eat. Great cocktails too. Baklava ice cream sandwich highly recommended. More recent visit: The pre theatre menu is excellent, great value and a good way to try different dishes. Generous portions too. The Hake was sublime.

Palomar has been on my list for some time now. I have eaten at their sister institution, The Barbary and loved it. So I found myself on one of their bar stools one Friday evening. The food was great. It did start off a little weak; couldn’t really taste any cod in the cod falafels. But the seabass tartare and lamb rump mangal made up for it. The lamb was the right balance of tenderness and char. Dessert and cocktails were also nice. However, I was surprised and more than a bit annoyed to see that they charged for filtered water (not branded, bottled water afaik). Without this, I would have probably given them five stars.

The best meal I’ve had in London, without a doubt. An authentic gem! The pictures do not make justice. I went there with a friend on a Sunday eve before a show. The place was buzzing. It’s small but really cozy and warm. Staff were extremely nice. We shared the bread with some dips (do try the bread!). It was sooo good. Then we had the radicchio and the aubergine and they were both AMAZING. The radicchio was particularly exquisite. Not a big fan of desserts in general but this was lighter than expected. The wine list was interesting and I had an orange wine from Italy which was a very good recommendation. I’ll definitely go back next time I’m in London!

Absolutely stunning experience, food was amazing, staff was amazing and attentive and a 5 star experience overall. We got bread, some dips, baked aubergine, a big juicy fish and 4 cocktails, we were stuffed and tipsy and also got our dessert to go. Bill came to £148. My wife thinks it's top 5 restaurants she's been to in her life, which says alot because this is her favourite cuisine as well. This was definitely top 10 for me. Well done The Palomar!!

As a huge fan of their sister restaurant, The Barbary, I found out about The Palomar and called in to see if they had room for one that evening - there was one opening at 9pm that I put my name in for and they even called me back to let me know about a cancellation and earlier seating. When I arrived they greeted me by name! I was so impressed by the hospitality, warm greetings, and attentive care. I even dropped my napkin on the floor and within 10 seconds someone had brought over a new one for me - incredible attention to detail and awareness. The food was so flavorful and inspiring, I’ll be thinking about it for months to come. I was seated at the kitchen bar and thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience. I highly recommend coming to see for yourself!

I always love to go to a restaurant that i have not been before when it leaves me wondering why has it taken me so long to find this place as I will so definately be coming back. I just love everything about this place. I’m such a fan of bar sitting overlooking the chefs cooking especially if there are just two of you eating. The staff are super friendly from the moment you are greeted at the door. I loved everything that we ordered and can’t wait to try out more on the menu, but the standout dishes that i had so far and will find hard not to order again was the chopped liver and the fried Sea Bass. Absolutely amazing. I wish I could give this place 6 stars! Update: went back and still amazing. The tartare was like the best I have had. Great spice to it.

I’m going to give an unpopular opinion and not rave about the Palomar. Not terrible, but I wasn’t swept off my feet (like at ROVI for example). One might argue that with great expectations, comes great potential to disappoint. Yes, it’s partially that. I had been to the Palomar only once before 5 years ago, and it was a magical evening, with good food, great ambiance, but mostly the excitement of having just moved to London. And so maybe that experience stuck in my memory. Then I kept hearing about it left and right, but had never managed to get a table there. So yes, my expectations were as inflated as a hot air balloon in Cappadocia. But also.. putting that aside, there was something off on the evening were I made my second visit to the restaurant, walking in after a workout class in soho. The music first off… was out of place. I wanted Mediterranean or middle eastern turns, to fit with the identify of the place and transport us in time and place, but instead some 80’s disco tunes were blasting. At a high volume. Second the food. Not bad. I would even say generally good. But there was no blockbuster, no dish that makes you close your eyes while you slowly chew each magical bite, or that makes you re-focus the conversation on it. Maybe the crab kafta played slightly that role.. but only slightly. The dips were ok. The spicy one was… spicy so we couldn’t really grasp the full flavor. The handmade pitas with love, I’m sorry to say, had nothing special. Just some pitas to use for dipping. I wanted to feel more love. Then the lemon cake was fine. A sweet treat but nothing extraordinary. The other element that played a part in the less than ideal impression is the fact that the service staff seemed distracted. Our order took a while to be captured, the cake order was forgotten, and just generally… call me emotional, but we did not feel the love.

Great restaurant, used to be better. Used to have such a fun vibe specially sitting on the bar. Also food used to kick your tastebuds in so many ways that will leave you speechless. Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t to die for. There aren’t dishes that making you wanna come back like the Polenta and Shakshukit back in the day. Over all was great value for money and we did enjoy it.

Fabulous lunch, great atmosphere, very cool vibes, and importantly, sensational food. Start with a tear and dip, then follow with a mix of sharing plates. The flavours were incredible, great variety on the menu too. The cocktails were also exceptional - loved the sour and honey bee. It’s not cheap, but it’s worth it.

3.5/5 Heard people raving about this place for a long time so thought I’d give it a try finally - I’d come again for bread/dips & cocktails as a ‘casual yet refined late night snack’ hangout but not for main meals. Particulary underwhelmed by main dishes, they were certainly interesting with middle-eastern flavour yet not worth the price and portion. There was simply no ‘wow’ from any of dishes (We had octupus and crabcake dishes as well, apart from the dishes in the pics) I liked the starter though, brioche-type textured bread was beautiful and the hummus dips were fresh and nice enough with interesting flavours. Staffs were attentive and kind.

A phenomenal place, one of my absolute favourites in London. When it first landed it had an unbelievable freshness and energy that haven't gone away over the years. This is a buzzing, exciting restaurant, a small theatre almost. And the food is spectacular. Fresh and original Eastern Mediterranean specials. Every single item on the menu is worth it. All in all, highly recommended. Definitely sit at the counter.

Gorgeous food, especially enjoyed the kubaneh bread, tarka octopus and courgette dish. Be wary when ordering multiple cocktails - our bill between two was £££! Definitely one to visit for more of a treat.

Fantastic meal from start to finish. Highlights were the grilled chicken main with strained yoghurt and baklava ice cream sandwich and of course the pillowy house kubaneh which I could have eaten a trough of. Cocktails were great, a little different to your bog standard fayre, with a couple of interesting twists and the beer and wine list is well curated - spot on. Service is excellent, attentive and staff are very knowledgeable about the food and drink on offer. To top it off the set menu is excellent value especially considering the location. Highly recommend!

We love it here. The food is full of unique flavours and the staff and chef's are so friendly and engaging! So nice to watch the chef's cook and talk about the food they are making. Yet again - wonderful experience! 😊

The food was good to excellent. The hummus and baba ganoush were good but a little restrained. The labneh with pistachios was delicious. The crushed cucumber was a surprising favourite, and the octopus with cannellini mash was also excellent. The only disappointment was the kubaneh bread. Next time I'll order the pita. Service was fast and friendly. I sat at the pass and witnessed a perfectly acceptable plate of hummus being rejected and redone because the plating wasn't quite up to standard. They take their food seriously! Looking forward to returning

Great restaurant with some very unique dishes. We've ordered the kubaneh bread, the green olive labneh from the starters and the josperised aubergine and cumin broccoli from the mains. All were really good, our favourites were the two starters though. A bit overpriced for the quantity of food, but the dishes were really good and actually unique. Great service as well.

We had a fab experience here. Service was seamless from start to finish. Attentive, friendly, knowledgeable. We were sat at the bar/ kitchen counter. The chef was forthcoming with recommendations and an explanation of the menu. Food was delicious. We shared most of what we had which was a good ideas as it allowed us to sample most of the menu. Delicious and refreshing non alcoholic cocktails available (at reasonable prices). Would recommend.

Good variety of food and drink choices. I sat by the bar / counter and enjoyed the sounds of the music coupled with drinks mixing. The starter or smaller bites are small, but we still managed to share between two. We spent £120 for two people, one drink each, so a be prepared for a £100~ charge. Nice experience but won’t be a daily one for me :)

Had a wonderful experience at palomar. We sat on the high stools near the kitchen and could watch the chefs prepare dishes. It seems like their menu has changed from pre pandemic and I couldn't order food that was recommended here. We tried their kubaneh bread, zucchini tahini and lamb white bean m'asabcha and liked the tahini and m'asabcha a lot. For mains we ordered fattoush salad and jasperised aubergine. Fattoush salad tasted way better than what I expected and the japerised aubergine was creamy and delicious. Although I couldn't taste any aubergine in the dish. The service was excellent and the restaurant wasn't very crowdedn on Sunday at dinner time.

Very good israelian food and nice atmosphere. The only problem with all these Michelin restaurants is that I felt rushed to go immediately after eating. So, overall, even if the food is an experience itself, I think that in the end all experience is very important, not only the food.

Still one of the best in the world. Delicious Mediterranean food and drinks. Amazingly friendly and attentive wait staff. The handouts were the kubaneh with labneh and baba ganoosh, mushroom polenta, lamb rangal and all the desserts, but particularly the lemon and arak sorbet.

The Palomar in London serves Jerusalem with a modern twist. It is a cozy restaurant with an inviting ambiance, where the lively open kitchen adds to the dynamic atmosphere. We sat on a bar table watching the kitchen if you are a foodie you would enjoy that! We tried many things , on a scale of 1-10: Kubane bread 9 (soft, like cloud) Spicy 8 (not very spicy but great flavors) Labane 9 ( the crunchy toppings nf swad the highlight) Carrots 9 (really, really good flavors) Hake fish 8 (super flaky fresh fish) Babaganush 8 ( smokey flavor) Chicken 10 ( so moist, so flavorfull) Baklava iceream sandwich 10. A must have. A pine tart 10. A must have. A must-visit for food enthusiasts seeking an extraordinary culinary adventure.

Absolutely loved every part of our evening at this Israeli spot 👌 Amazing food, excellent service and overall superb vibes. Highly recommend: - Kubaneh: the fluffiest brioche and perfect medium to absorb all the dips and sauces - Octopus: the perfect meaty & creaminess combo with the cannoli purée - Scallops with pistachio pesto: new item (off menu) and totally would recommend - Mackerel: must try - Ribeye with chimichurri: classic dish that cannot go wrong Great for solo/couple diners sitting at the counter or groups of 4-6 in a cozy corner booth 👌

I’ll title this one Dips, Drinks & Deserts. The vibe at The Palomar is probably the most alluring aspect of the whole dining experience. As soon as you walk through the door you are greeted by a smiley host who is more than happy to assist in seating you and taking whatever unwanted baggage you don’t want taking up space at your table whilst you eat. Sounds of conversations, wine glasses clinking and Chef orders fill the air, which is quite a pleasant sound that give you a taste of the fast paced, fun flavour of things to come. We were sat down by our lovely waitress who was overly accommodating and gave us great recommendations on drinks and food. I had a Picante which was really tasteful and had the right amount of spice. We had the Falafel and Chicken Schnitzel as starters. The falafel was forgettable but the schnitzel was really good. An almost perfectly breaded chicken with Shifka Aoili which was to die for. We had Baba Ganoush, Labneh, Spicy experience and Tirshi dips which were the start of the shows for the whole night. Each dip was bursting with flavour and complemented the warm, soft, buttery bread. I don’t think it’s even worth talking about the mains we had because they all missed the mark for me. I’m not too sure if the bread + dips set them up for failure as they were so good or if it’s just that they were actually a bit disappointing. Mains: Braised Lamb Shoulder Ribeye Tarka Octopus Slow Roast Carrots Crispy Patte Potatoes

From the atmosphere to the extremely friendly staff, then comes the delicious taste bud journey of the food cooked in front of you if you take a seat at the kitchen bar, which I recommend. Fantastic place to come, I will be returning to try the other items on the menu.

Tragically, I was so consumed by the food that I only took a photo of the menu at the start.. Where to begin. The service here is impeccable. Your water glass will never go empty, and you’ll never wait long for your next dish to hit the table. Everything was impeccable. And the gluten free bread is truly the tastiest I’ve ever had. Moist and flavourful - VERY rare for us folks the gf community! The dips were all superb, but the lamb was a showstopper. Will definitely be back for more!

Amazing food. The dips and the octopus were really well prepared. The atmosphere at the counter is really nice as you can watch all the food being prepared. We had the baklava with pistachio ice cream for dessert. It was the perfect bite-sized sweet finish to the meal.

Fantastic Israeli tapas restaurant. Sit on the bar and see your dishes made in front of you. Also, absorb the heat from the kitchen. Very interested experience! From the dishes, I would highlight Jerusalem mix and beef tartar. I'm surprised to find just a single Israeli wine on the menu, though 🤔 Thanks to Neta for a fantastic service 😀

Wonderful experience dining here. Was a solo diner, seated at the bar. Was recommended to dine here by a friend that said it was one of his favorite restaurants in London. Food was amazing, service was great, enjoyed the light conversation with the chef. Tip: if you are a solo diner, you can get a tasting platter for their dips. Definitely recommend getting that.

Fantastic lunch. Lots of small sharing dishes. I may have not liked some components of some dishes but I cannot deny they were all incredibly flavourful. It was 4 of us and we all agreed that the best thing we had was the kubaneh (bread). Incredible the flavour of that bred!!!!!!

Fantastic food and the service is exceptional. My friend is vegan and the lady serving us made notes on the menu about all the options and what they could substitute to accommodate for her. I’ll definitely be returning!

Exceptional! Everything from the service, food, atmosphere, and hospitality was 5+ star. We sat at the bar, which I highly recommend, and the amazing chefs prepare the food in front of you and then serve directly. Our server was lovely, as were the entire team. The menu has so many options, and the flavors and execution are flawless. And, the playlist was on point. Thank you for the experience. Can’t wait to come back.

Very good experience at the Palomar, the concept is to take multiple starters and mains and to share it. The flavors are out of this world, you can see the chefs preparing the food in front of you. I had been to Barbary a few months ago and this was a good addition to it !

📍@palomarsoho 🍞Kubaneh with tomato and tahini - Traditional pull-apart bread with nutty undertones. Zucchini Tahini - A nice change to my usual tahini with candied walnuts. 🍆Josperised Aubergine - Sadly I felt my aubergine had been slightly over grilled but the cucumber yoghurt and cherry tomatoes made a nice topping. 🐙Glazed Octopus - Paired with Kohlrabi (German turnip). I’m unable to comment on the following as I’m not a fan of this fish. ⭐️Google rating - 4.6 🙋🏻‍♀️My rating - 3.9 Overall pleasant experience, however, I did think the food was overpriced for what we had. It didn’t quite match the chef table experience I have previously enjoyed. Sadly, I didn’t feel much warmth from the staff either. Not worth the hype in my opinion☹️
