Always wanted to dine-in here and so finally did. Food is truly delicious, fresh and rich, unfortunately, the chaos caused by the staff is killing the entire vibe of this place. One doesn't know what the others do, wrong food being brought to wrong tables, supervisor telling off the waiter in front of the customers etc, there is no communication or any kind of system in place, at all. Pity because this is an amazing place, I hope it will eventually get better.

Love it here .. vibe, atmosphere, Italian food extremely well prepared and served. All meals are small to medium-sized and designed to eat as a sharing experience. The staff appeared to genuinely love their jobs too! The only negative was the tight fit for all the tables ..

We were booked in at 5pm and the restaurant was busy as we arrived but we got seated quickly. Your order arrives bits at a time like tapas but we it worked well for us. Loads to choose from and the dishes we chose were all delicious. Cocktails and wine selection was good too. A bit pricy maybe but well worth it.

A very nice restaurant in Piccadilly area serving Italian dishes. Staff are very nice and friendly. Foods are delicious. You will not be disappointed by the Chef recommendation if you are lack of idea in ordering.

My boyfriend and I booked this restaurant for our anniversary and it was not at all the experience we wanted. We felt rushed in and out the door by the waiters, they didn’t give us a chance to relax at all. As soon as the foods ready they throw it in front of you and attempt to clear before you’ve even finished to create room on the table. The food was very tasty but expensive for what you get, £9.90 for just 2 pieces of ravioli. What was meant to be a nice evening out turned into about 30 minutes in and out the door. I asked for a break between the food and potentially ordering dessert but was asked 3 times in the space of a couple of minutes if I was ready to order so we ended up leaving. Feel very disappointed with how we spent our anniversary.

I was not allowed to use the bathroom after a certain time, even though there were still loads of customers still finishing drinks. It clearly was possible for me to go in, the place was closing but not actually closed. The really rude doorman for no actually legitimate reason decided not to let me. I asked where else he suggested I went, and he basically told me to go down this dark street off the square and the people there would "let me in". Initially I trusted him and I did try to follow his suggestion, but turned back quickly. The place he sent me looked as dodgy as it could be, clearly unsafe. What kind of door man deliberately refuses to let a girl use the bathroom and instead attempts to send her somewhere down a dodgy dark street by herself? Do not trust this bar or the staff there.

Really busy Italian place within a stone throw away from the center of Piccadilly circus. Staff where pleasant. Food was good, slightly on the bland side. Only comment is you are seated very close to others so if looking for a date or romantic Italian place not this

Every time I’m in London, I try to go to Cicchetti! What a beautiful restaurant, though always super busy and hard to get a table. The food is always full of flavors that you can feel aftertaste long hours after the visit. Love it and will be back again and again!

Had Sunday lunch there yesterday. Excellent food and service. We ordered 6 dishes to share for 2 people. Very satisfied, will be going there again.

Lovely place with lots of „smaller“ dishes to pick from (tapas style). We ordered four dishes which was more than enough for the two of us. They add an additional 12.5% service charge. Staff is friendly. Definitely book a reservation so you get a table, as the place was fully booked. The garlic bread and the lamb were our favourite.

I used to come here when I first arrived to London. I went back a few days ago. Food was OK but nothing special for the price you pay. Everything came at once which was not ideal as they were cold when you eat them. The atmosphere was very noisy making it very difficult to talk. Service was exceptionally good

A touch pricey.pizza express this isn't.. But...a great concept and food was wonderful so a really good value. Great service too , with a lovely atmosphere. Sophisticated enough for pearls, but down to earth enough for jeans....loved it

Excellent ingredients and quite authentic in terms of recipes. Likes to be a destination restaurant however one slight criticism is that it's overpriced. Zuchinni fritti being £8 as an example for what is essentially an 80p dish. A good selection of wines and waiters with personality give it an individualised feel however. You may be paying more for the ambience in this case but an excellent choice for an occasion or first date.

Dont know why on entering they talk to you in Italian until you tell them that you don’t understand Italian! Speaks volumes right! 4 stars are for amazing service on the table and the tasty cocktails and food! PS : This is not a kid friendly place. I am vegetarian and this place has great vegetarian options.

Happened upon this restaurant while heading home from Fortnum & Mason. It was very busy and I had to sit at the bar, but that wasn't bad. Customer service was amazing and staff were very kind. Menu offer many different options and I selected the fish stew. It was served hot with bread and was delicious. Overall, nice dining experience.

From the outside the place looks like a market, but dont miss out on some amazing Italian food. All of the dishes we shared were delicious and the bar service was very attentive. The bartenders and managers were on top of everything.

Cozy atmospheric place. All staff very attentive and informative with helping you choose your meals. They've made a slight mess up with bringing out a wrong dish, but quickly cooked us the right one and made the experience super pleasant. Food had some new taste combos I've never tried before, but I'm glad I did. Comming back again!

Recommend the black ravioli and mozzarella and mint salad (I forget the name) Very friendly service, food was quick and perfect way to enjoy lots of smaller dishes rather than commit to one big one

Nice decor, delicious food and lovely service. Would give 5 stars but then I found the tables to be a bit cramped. You couldn’t relax as someone was constantly bumping into you. I would rather they remove a few tables but I understand they want to get as many covers in as possible.

  • 4/5 JIM S. 3 years ago on Google
Great value, good quality. Intentionally small portions, as specified at top of menu, in the style of Spanish tapas or Cantonese dim-sum. Take advice of waiters when it comes to ordering. Dishes come as and when cooked and ready, in random order. You can always order additional dishes if you need to. Some dishes are significantly bigger and more filling than others. Caccuico, is a delicious seafood stew with pastry lid, was plenty for 2 people, but we ordered bread to soak up delicious stock. Risotto, Peas & ScallopS had only one scallop. Rack of Lamb was just 2 lamb cutlets. We originally ordered 4 dishes and a side of broccoli. After the 3rd dish appeared, we ordered Veal Milanese (escalope), because we knew we would need more.

Visited cicchetti with a friend, left feeling disappointed. Food was nice, not overly hot however lobster ravioli very good. Seated at 18:30 and was rushed throughout and then asked to leave at 19:10 due to 'booking system issues'. Asked to have a break and enjoy our prosecco before we had dessert and was handed the bill instead. Next we were then asked to pay despite having half a bottle of prosecco to finish. We politely told the waitress we would finish our drinks before paying, seeing as we had only been seated for 40 minutes at that point. The manager then asked us if we could pay and leave because of the 'booking system issues' only 10 minutes after the waitress trying to hurry us out. Ruined our evening meal and left us feeling rather frustrated.

Brilliant service, fantastic staff and amazing decor. Attend with a group of friends each ordered a different meal from the menu which had a more than suitable range of edibles. Service was quick and waiting time was, adequate. I wod recommend Gigi's Hoxton to any of my friends and family! Amazing Live music in the Underbelly Hoxton located down stairs with So Live Sessions enjoyed our time at Gigi's very much.

Arrived at 8pm, ordered a bottle of wine some starters and 2 steaks, non of which were available, we ended up having to have all they had left, burgers and chips. At 9.30pm the spotlights were turned on in the restaurants and staff was shouting to start finishing up - we have literally just received our food. From this point onward the staff were in "going home" mode and we were made feel extremely unwelcome and we where rushed to leave the restaurant at 9.45. This is 15 minutes before official closing time. Disgusted that a customer can be treated in such an awful way. Will you see me again? Hell no!!! Oh, I had to leave my card behind the bar before sitting down to have a meal!!! Just shows you the type of clientele they attract.

  • 2/5 A J. 3 years ago on Google
Food was okay. Maybe slightly pricey if I were paying full price but ok. What was really bad and left a bad taste was how badly we were treated. We live literally steps from this place and have known it since it started and the one before it. We asked and got confirmation of govt scheme before sitting down to eat and before ordering. In the end full bill was given and we had to argue and convince before they reduced price on meal. They still did not do on soft drink. They were so unhappy to give us a discount which they had a huge poster of in front. It left such a bad taste 2 hours later I ate frozen (after cooking) Sainsbury pizza just to get over that feeling. Will be very hard to go in again. Hopefully it closes and someone else comes

I've been here a few times over the years as it's changed names and decor. I really like the atmosphere, style and shape of this bar. Lots of large tables allow for groups of friends to sit together, the artwork is enjoyable and there're some board games available. Lots of drinks to choose from and they also serve food. The prices are to be expected in this area.

  • 3/5 K A. 4 years ago on Google
A nice venue with a private function room It's slightly off from the bustle of Hoxton at the weekend which for some is a blessing. As such, it has an outdoor seating area which is calm and good for talking and smoking. As with most of Hoxton, parking is a nightmare. Though there are a few streets nearby that can be used in the evenings. The decor is simple and functional

Cool bar right in Hoxton Sqaure, just stayed for a couple of drinks, friendly bar staff. Shame the juke box wasn't working, music they were playing was awful! We used to go there when it was Zigfrid' s for the amazing juke box and electric Rock and Roll interior. Still a cool bar, if we are in the area again we'll pop in and hopefully the juke box will be working

We were unlucky to get a table at 9pm, but we really wanted to try this place so we came. The food was outstanding and the ambiance bustly yet intimate. Would definitely come again, but at an earlier time as at 9.30pm we felt pressured by the waiter (Laurio) to order before the kitchen closed. But definitely worth the visit as everything was on point. Just note the portions are not too generous but it's Italian tapas so order a fair few plates!! The gnocchi was my favourite and the arrabiatta was so simple yet delicious and fresh. Would love to try the sister restaurants too :)

Wonderful pre theatre lunch/early dinner. Atmosphere was buzzing. Staff were very friendly and attentive. We had a delicious cocktail each and bottle of white wine. We were not rushed and food was amazing! So much so, I forgot to take photo before tucking in. I did get a pic of the desserts though. Very enjoyable experience. Will be back soon.

Had a great time. We came at noon and reserved a table for an hour forward. The service was extremely nice, and the food was tasty and came quickly. Some of the dishes were pretty small, but nevertheless tasty. The restaurant's tables are ordered quite densely so it wasn't the most comfortable.

The restaurant is beautiful and has a charming vibe. Staff were super nice, service was quick, and the food was Amazing! Best pasta I’ve ever had. Food portions were filling ( they advise 4-5 dishes for 2 people) lovely place, I’ll definitely come back

I absolutely loved it there. Amazing, delicious food - small/medium sized plates that are supposed to be shared. Very kind staff. Beautiful interiors. Very buzzing, in a good way. The service itself was a bit chaotic - waiters came to us multiple times with wrong food. The reception was also chaotic. Definitely room for improvement there. Also - very little space with tables being very tightly close to one another - which is quite an Italian thing indeed, but a bit annoying.

I've been here several times. It's a lovely restaurant with a great atmosphere. The food is authentic and very good. I like the idea of having small portions so that you can try different dishes. The staff is very friendly and professional. I recommend to book as it's always full.

The service from start to finish was just beautiful, thank you for making my birthday such a memorable one with the amazing food. We got this place as a recommendation from a friend and it was amazing. We went on my birthday and David made sure, that I would feel special. (He definitely deserves a raise for the work he does 😉) The food was delicious. We did it Italian tapas style but we did see other people just order normally. The only thing for me was, that it was too loud and we had to almost scream to talk to each other. Besides that, it was extravagant.

The prices would have been correct if the quantity of food served had been satisfactory, but 16 pounds for 3 ravioli is a rip-off... I'm really disappointed. Even the bread had to be paid for. So the setting is very nice, the staff are very friendly but to eat properly you'd have to take several courses and not count your budget.
