This store seems to be poorly managed. Horrible toilet facilities, very smelly and dirty. This is extremely poor for such a large FOOD store, which also has a cafeteria. You would think that hygiene would be scrupulous in an environment specialising in the sale of food. I certainly don't feel tempted to eat in the cafeteria. The toilets are small and totally inadequate for the size of the store. The downstairs toilets were even completely out of service for several days, and one of the urinals upstairs has been blocked for WEEKS. The staff told me that management never get things fixed, including non-working tills. Meanwhile most of the staff are STILL hiding behind facemasks. I would suggest losing the masks, getting back to working normally, and employing someone to clean the disgusting unhygienic toilets and hand basins! It seems that a lot of Sainsbury's staff have to use the same toilets and cafeteria as the customers. Do Sainsbury's not provide their staff with proper facilities? On the plus side a couple of staff working in the cafeteria at the weekend are very pleasant. The women working there in the week can be rather rude and unwelcoming, they don't like having their private conversations interrupted by customers. One more thing..watch their prices closely. For example, a small can of sardines in vegetable oil at £1.08 is available in Lidl for 31p..same size, super quality in Lidl. Perhaps Sainsbury's are more competitive on other products but that particular price difference is HUGE for such a basic item!

Edited review - 1 star rating compared to 3 stars before. I would give it a 0. The customer service and the click and collect, which are both served by the same desk is an absolute joke. Peak time on Saturday morning, the queue is about 12 people long and the desk is being served by 1 lady!!! Hats off to her for being so patient. I have waited 45 mins with a time slot and this to me seems complete nonsense. Sainsbury's, if you're reading this, THIS IS NOT CUSTOMER SERVICE!! ---------------------- Big Sainsburys that has a lot more products than some of the smaller Sainsbury's. However, the click and collect service needs a complete overhaul. It's meant to be outside but the few times I've used it, I have always had to go inside the store and chase it up.

Store has varieties of goods and range. Nectar card can help you to save. But the parking area for the whole retail park needs serious attention. No direc9of any kind for the exits from the park.

They didn't have any of what I was looking for in the clothing department and I did buy 1 other item but the queues were ridiculous hardly any tills open and self checkout was only half working! May think twice about going out of my area to shop here next time as this has happened on two occasions so not happy with my experience today!

Popped in to buy shoes for the kids. Airy and well let parking - I chose the enclosed parking. Ample for the time of day but upper level was sealed off today. The shopping experience itself was good, helpful staff in a clean and tidy store. Self checkout busy like most supermarkets but system behaved itself without the need to ask staff for support. Not a bad outing at all.

This Sainsbury's is massive. Plenty of homewares and electrical items, an upstairs floor with clothing and of course all the food of the world, with many discounts/sales/reduced to clear products. There are multiple check-out tills (and queues). Toilets are available too! Finally, it is part of a big retail park.

This Sainsbury is very slow at restocking their shelves, often during my weekly visits the store has a lot of stock missing! The shopping trolleys need cleaning and often have rubbish left in them, they also need more shopping trolleys for the size of the store. There are toilets in store but sometimes very clean but sometimes disgusting! There’s plenty of free parking as it’s based in a retail park.

I love this one because of the nectar prices. Although, I have never found its oat milk and soya milk consumable. It is usually just so diluted that you just feel you are drinking water other than milk. I prefer Lidl over this for my grocery shopping.

Worst store in town. Toilets are a disgrace trolleys are never available. Fruit and veg are always very close to expire date never anything fresh. I stop home delivery as my shop is always rotten by the end of the delivery date. One star is a very generous vote.

As a Sainsburys it’s great, but the Argos just has horrendous queues even when doing a fast track click and collect.

I guess in the day time will be fine. I arrived here late evening around 9.30ish pm Hardly any staff around and this store is quite large. The only staff member I saw when calling out "excuse me" I got ignored like I was invisible till I shouted "excuse me" x4 then I got heard. (Bearing in mind he was walking quite fast like the world is about to end and I'm chasing him like a lost puppy) Rude, pathetic young kid that really doesn't care about customers! Took his name and made a complaint. Image an elderly person wanted to grab his attention that would of been impossible! Don't hire the young idoits!

been shopping at this store for a number of years it was always fairly good. But not now they are moving items around to include Argos that's ok they state ask a member of staff if you cannot find what you are looking for that's if you can find a member of staff there is a definite shortage of staff some of the shelves are often empty when you do manage to find a member of staff they say they haven't had time to put items out that they are short staffed this is definitively not good customer service

Loved the late night shopping here. Wanted a jubilee t-shirt for my daughter. So at 10:30pm went here. The lady in clothing was so helpful and showed me to the last t-shirt! Great service.

The staff at the fuel station today were amazing. The chap at the forecourt entrance that was guiding the traffic in was brilliant, even in the face of the frivers that tried to jump the queue. Staff in the shop were fast and efficient. Thank you all

Horrible Customer Service They have very unprofessional people in Customer service counter. They are ready to make unnecessary/pointless arguments over a simple thing but would not even put a pinch of effort to make things easier & support their Customer.

Busy. Store layout a bit odd and very much add ons. Offers and price matching very limited. Prices still yo yo and so check for VFM. Outside and parking is run down and showing its age.

Some prices are unjustified higher than other shops. Limited offers. A good selection of item's from house item's to food. Friendly, helpful staff. Not my liking of display the item's on the shop but you can find everything.

it's a great supermarket and very large one and it has all what you need. Also the parking is allways avaiable and it's situated retail carpark which makes it very useful and can do other shopping as well few restaurants like McDonald's, Pizahut and subway etc.. as well patrolnstation. It's a great store but I do find the customer service is not very friendly which definatly needs to be imporved. I would definatly recomended based on the above, however I do find the prices are little higher compare to some other stores.

I realise supermarkets are trying to encourage us to scan and shop, but if you don't you're stuffed! Only one checkout open and a ridiculous queue. I hunted down two separate members of staff who did open another till. Loaded my trolley full of shopping only to find that till wasn't working so had to reload onto another belt. However I still beat the other queue which is crazy! Saw plenty of "managers" around the store chatting to each other but there's very few staff at the till areas. Really isn't good enough!

The store has good selections and is conveniently located. However, it is extremely busy, people's behaviour is less than civil and the parking lot is a disaster. Best time to come here is during the week outside of the lunch hours and after work hours.

Hayes Lombardy Retail Park Sainsbury's is always well stocked with top quality groceries and fruit and veg at a great price. The Sainsbury's Staff are always friendly and visible when you have a query. My Tesco dependency is forgotten history as the extra mileage is definitely worth it

Best supermarket ever worked and shopped. From groceries, to drinks, to Great African Foods, quality clothing lines, and amazing customer support. I dare you to experience this beauty and lovely atmosphere yourself and thank me later.

Placed an order for delivery and the service i received was absolutely horrendous. The driver went to the wrong address and was rude to my mother over the phone. Encouraging her to make a complaint whilst laughing. He then decided not to deliver the shopping and went back to the store. The delivery was then rearranged to arrive later the same day and it didn't turn up. No notifications were given and when called they said they didn't have a driver available. The person on the phone was also disgustingly rude and didn't have the common decency to apologise. Given the store managers and drivers ethnicity its safe to say theres a strong racial /cultural bias hence why the driver was so confident in encouraging to complain knowing fully well nothing would come of it. This is racism and its absolutely disgusting.

I like the wide isles , variety handy location. Car park is often very busy so spaces can be a challenge. Also the trolley collection areas are always full and poorly managed …repeatedly. A good store but just needs some thought regarding outside.

Very impressed with my first visit to this store. Not only is there great covered parking (perfect in the winter and pouring rain), but the place is huge, with plenty of space to move around and shop. Overall customer service was good, and definitely from what I received it's a place I'll return to again and again. The store is clean, welcoming and staff have done their best to ensure social distancing is upheld. A definite plus in my books. Oh, and I get Nectar points too, which is a bonus!

I do like this store as its my mums local but so sad and depressing seeing all the empty tills with only 2 or 3 actual cashiers... they really are pushing for self service and with their prices being higher than Tesco and other supermarkets they really should be offering a better service. Bring back the staff on the tills. I do like the quality of the fruit and vegetables. They also have a great book section, at great prices. I would recommend this store but you need time to pay.

The store is clean and tidy majority of the time, however there is problem; during COVID I used to receive vouchers to help us buy our shopping part of the government scheme. We had roughly 2-4 vouchers at a go per month but these till counters people especially the old Asian ladies there used to check it like immigration control and hold up the line - once I left the queue because it was soo embarrassing. I would avoid going there if you have vouchers.

Very popular supermarket in Hayes and can be very busy based on its location in a retail park. Plenty of parking available. This supermarket is not 24 hours so check their closing times. Plenty selection of foods including some halal frozen food. No butchers though. I also noticed they have a small Krispy Cream stand near the bakery section.

Sainsbury's has changed some isles. I can't find many items on sale anymore, and the one's on "clearance" are not worth the price as they are partially broken. But there are great discounts on babies and children clothes. Mums can get their hands on beautiful pieces for just a pound or two.

Hopefully, this review will land on not only her manager, but also on higher rank manager desk as she deserves a huge praise. Stenka, that's the name of a lady who was serving us on tobacco kiosk check out. We grabbed some clothes from upstairs and had some questions about returns policy (no fitting room), prices etc. which she explained all. Before paying, I scanned my nectar card to which she said make sure you are redeeming and saving your weekly points offers. I have never heard that before and been using nectar card for over 10 years now, not only at Sainsbury's but also other partner shops and no one ever said a word about it. Taken by surprise, I've let her explain to me in full details how it works. Someone will say, oh he is praising her cause she told him something he did not know and now gets more points etc, but the way Stenka did it and served us throughout all that time was exceptional. She is a quintessence of what a great customer service should be like! When I complimented and thanked her on a spot, she humbly said its a part of my job to serve my customers in best possible way. She is one of those people that you meet on your way in life and think, if I will have my own business one day, I want people like her to work with me. An absolute superstar and thank you again for making what was meant to be basic shopping, a great memory of fantastic customer service provided! P.S Tu Clothing upstairs, would be beneficial for customers to have a sign on entry/exit regarding where you should pay as not only missing that, there was not a single person on the up floor level to answer any questions.

Went in after a long time. Found staff are very helpful when asked about certain items. Aware of exactly where they were even though what I asked was not items that's sold often. There is plenty of parking but weekends can be bit busy.

ONLY 3 CHECKOUTS REMAINING. i do not work here. Fine if there is a choice but i do not want to scan my own and not receive a a staff discount. LAST TIME I SHOP HERE

  • 1/5 Mia E. 10 months ago on Google
Staff absolutely overrun on self checkout. Waited over 5 minutes for them to approve something and another 5 to get a security tag taken off something. Watched other people have the same experience too as staff were so busy and just walking past people. Not their fault, hire more staff as this wasn’t even peak time… disgraceful management for this and lack of cleanliness.

I have to say that I was disappointed with the changes at this store. We used to visit it occasionally as it has quite a large clothing department, and whenever we visited the store we always had at least a coffee. NOW although it still has the clothing department, you can no longer pay for your purchases upstairs. More disappointedly there is no longer a cafe. Infuriatingly all the tills were self service (with the exception of one).... Progress, I think not, bring back the cafe ÀND MANNED TILLS WITH REAL CASHIERS.

Was spoken to a a rude manner by the self check out service worker, I have noticed that she has a bad attitude and the customer interaction is not polite, Cheshez, I believe is here name. And just some politeness is required when dealing with customers.

  • 3/5 shanthy b. 6 months ago on Google
A couple of staff members were busy chatting away when my parents and myself were struggling with shopping especially with a little toddler in the mix. The self service had played up and waited for someone to come. However these ladies were busy chatting away and ignoring us. One eventually came and we apologised and she was furious and explained her why this happened. She was angry because she found that her chit chat was more important then dealing with customers. Her words was well you need to tell your little one not to touch it. Very disappointed to hear this from a member of staff.

Great location, parking is a bit full on due to the other stores nearby but I always manage to find a spot. I do have one complaint though, they took away the Fitting Room to make room for more sweatpants! LOL

  • 5/5 Vilija L. 1 year ago on Google
One of my favourite large grocery shops around. Big section of Habitat home merchandise, beautifully curated, medium upstairs clothing section. Wide selection of quality products, even niche stuff. 👍 The staff in the shop do an excellent job keeping the shelves well stocked and tidy. There are always enough colleagues available to help. 💁 The aisles are spacious and comfortable to walk around, logically sectioned, clean. I love using the self scanner through my phone Smart Shop app connected to the Nectar card - very quick and easy, never queues. 📱 A couple of downsides: Often difficult to find a small trolley 🛒 Nearly always out of stock on salad 🥗 Meat, dairy and ready meal section is freezing, often colder than the weather outdoors 🧣❄️

Nice big store with a great range. Two stars knocked off because the staff weren’t able to help with the EV charger. They have a few charge points but no signage as to how to activate them. Customer services told me to register but were unable to tell me where I register and how. They just kept on repeating: ‘you need to go and register’. I looked online and did find a helpful QA on the Sainsbury’s website which advised to look up the store and see facilities for more details. The page for this store doesn’t list EV charging details at all. So I finally looked at zap maps but wasn’t listed there either. It’s a shame to have such a good investment in EV charge points but lack of training of staff to tell people how to use it or even a sign. Otherwise a good trip.

The selection of things available is amazing! Good quality food, along with gifts for Christmas, cards, crafts for adults and children, clothes, kettles, bathmats! The store is huge. Helpful staff too.

This store is clearly not worthy of their staff who are clearly irresponsible and lazy to do their job. Since I've move here I've been ordering my groceries online as I am a single mum who works full time and not all the time I can have time to go shopping and meet my babies needs. Yet every time I order there items missing. And today I've made 3 orders and all 3 were cancelled after one hour of "shopping being processed" not only that being a single parent money isn't easy every time they cancel the refunds takes DAYS to come back so I have been left without money and groceries because of their either selfishness or lack of staff. Its a lovely big saisburys and clearly lack of time and wrong staff hired is a big issue for suck great shop brand. I NEVER leave reviews nor share suck comments working is hospitality and seeing all kinds but today has just been pure disappointment. Shame on you.
