With three lovely ladies at the front desk, a children’s corner full of 【Pretend Play】toys, good meeting room spaces, a local café at the front ☕️ and various groups for different gathering purposes - this library has to be the cosiest library in Bexley. ⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️ Please be aware that other Bexley council and community library books cannot be renewed and returned here! They are not apart of the joint library, and has their own unique Blackfen Library card.

Fantastic library, lived here all my life and recently moved back so lovely to see the library still going strong. So relaxing and clean, with the added bonus of coffee and cake bar which my Dad frequently enjoys!

Not just a library and somewhere to have a coffee , sandwich all made fresh when you ask. Just take a look at the menu. The people are so friendly. Why not take a trip to Blackfen and pop in. There are so many things going on at different times it would take a page to tell you.

Glad to be able to visit again after a long time. The staff and atmosphere are as lovely as always. Great place to have some quiet time with little children or a coffee with a friend in the café.

Beautiful little community library nestled in the heart of Blackfen. A lovely relaxing atmosphere and friendly staff who are always willing to help. The coffee shop is also a nice touch and added bonus. Plus there's free WiFi, cheap books to purchase and printing/photocopying services as well as the usual book loans and community groups. Worth a visit and a great place to support.

This is so much more than a library. It offers people of every age something to do, how they do it all is beyond me! Youth, toddlers, mums, financial advice, quiz nights, games nights, so much on every week, lovley food in the cafe, very friendly staff. Definitely worth a visit!

What a fantastic community hub. Spent this morning at the library with the Bexley Therapist Directory, at their Open Door event. So many people enjoying a free fish & chip lunch, enjoying the entertainment, & chatting .

This library is now the heart of the Blackfen community. There is a lovely cafe and many meetings are organised here free of charge. They have a real community spirit and we are so lucky to have so many volunteers giving their time and enthusiasm to provde this worthy resource.

Brilliant Library. Staff are friendly and helpful. Loads of children books and some fun activities for kids. highly recommend.

Clean friendly and COVID safe. Staff are always pleasant and friendly, and above all the environment is safe to bring my children. Unlike other libraries I have been to recently, I was asked to sign in upon entry, and saw staff regularly wipe down all tables and high touch points after use. Thank you Blackfen library, keep up the good work!

The library has bounced back and is fast becoming a hub of the community. Great coffee, books and loads of activities - particularly for children - well worth a visit and well worth volunteering!
