TOURIST TRAP!! When the aroma duck was served I thought they mistakenly gave us a plate of full of scraps. After making a presentable duck wrap, the duck was so dry I wish I never tried it. Their famous pork buns are nothing like they claim to be. There wasn't enough meat or broth; it just made me feel bad for those who think this counts as good Chinese food. The beef with white turnip tasted fine but was a far cry from the traditional dish which should be submerged in sauce. The traditional dish of 3-cup chicken was utterly ruined by being fried. It's fine to create new dishes, but please don't label them with the name of a traditional dish. There was nothing special about the ramen or the Chinese pork bbq. Only the spicy beef stripe and the minced pork with green beans hit the standard. Basically, this is great for unsuspecting tourists who have never tried authentic Chinese food. We should have known better since there was not a single oriental customer in the restaurant. So if you are hoping for a taste of China, steer clear.

Tourist trap, please come at your own risk. Most of the items contain MSG! Please be aware!! This place is full of tourists, not as authentic as it claims. The skin of the soup dumpling is extremely dry; however, I do appreciate they handmade this in house. We had to ask few times for water and questions were not answer by couple of waiters and we had to look for the manager.

This is a very busy restaurant and has a huge dim sum menu. We opted for the vegetarian set meal for two (£25 each). I didn't get photos of everything, but we had hot and spicy soup, a vegetarian mixed starter (spring rolls, tofu and chilli and seaweed), then sticky vegetable rice and four mains - chilli and garlic aubergine, fried dough and sweet and sour sauce, broccoli and mushrooms and mushrooms in black bean sauce. There was so much food. All of the dishes were tasty and hot, although the air con was turned up high so some dishes started to cool down quickly. We had a pot of green tea to share, that plus service brought the bill to £30.20 each. I have eaten dim sum here before and it can work out very pricey, we paid £40 each on that visit and I was still hungry, so the set meals are better value and a good idea if you want to try lots of different dishes. There are lots of restaurants to try in Chinatown but I'd recommend this one. Also, Plum Valley.

Delicious Chinese food! There are countless options to choose from. We tried several starters and main courses. Everything tasted good and was prepared rather quickly. Note that you cannot be seated until your entire party is with you, even if that means that only one person is missing. The atmosphere was fine, but you are sitting very close to other guests in certain sections.

Lovely restaurant in Chinatown! Very good quality food and nice selection of dim sum. We order quite a lot and we pay 40 pound a head.

Surprisingly good, exceeded expectations. Me and my kids went on a Thurs lunchtime. The restaurant was quite busy but we were seated quickly. Service was really good, our waitress was amazing. Food was a hit too, Xiao long bao were tasty. Beef ho fun, seafood crispy noodles, turnip cake, char siu cheung fun, beef + coriander cheung fun and 3 x roast meats rice (siew yuk was the weakest of the 3 due to skin note being so crispy) were good too.

Had another really good lunch at Dumplings Legend. We know Chinese/HK food well and ordered some of our favourites. Everything was spot on. Service was very attentive too. Photos of some of our dishes attached. We’ll be back again soon!

outstanding, clean, high end Chinese in the heart of Londons Chinatown. The simplistic Black and white theme decor is elegant and matches the vibe that the restaurant strives to achieve. Overall the food is excellent though some dishes can be a little heavy from a richness angle. Service is efficient and good too. Highly recommended.

Located right in the heart of London's China Town is this great Chinese restaurant. It was recommended to me by a dear Chinese friend and the food is fast and excellent. Chinese tea is on constant flow. I enjoyed roast duck and fried rice and some Dim Sun.

Wanted to eat something light before Les Miserable so we decided to just have some xiao long bao and it did not disappoint. However service and the ambiance were just typical Chinese restaurant so 1 star was deducted.

The dumplings that I had were delicious. Try the spicy pork. Also a delicious cucumber in chili oil. Sit outside if you can to enjoy the street bustle of Chinatown. Though it's mostly tourists.

Good dumplings, also tasty orange duck. The place is in the middle of Chinese town so there are many people coming and going all the time. It's not a quiet atmosphere, but the food is delicious. It's a better option than many buffet places.

Excellent dim sum, pay cash before 4pm and you get 10% off your bill. Often a queue but it moves quickly as this is a large bustling restaurant. Dim sums are very good and well priced with efficient service

Not often, if at all I am this negative about a place, however this was not a great experience. Having looked up "Timeout" top Dim Sum restaurants, this came out top, so off we went. My family, (2 adults,2 Children) were "ushered" into a corner table with menus thrown onto the table with some murmurings none of us could hear. We picked up the main menus and were surprised at the limited "dim sum" offerings. So when our table waiter came back he was clearly unhappy WE hadn't filled out the menu card, so he wrote the order on the back constantly hurrying us and looking elsewhere disinterested. It was only after he returned with the paper he had written on, we realized THIS WAS THE DIM SUM MENU,none of which had been explained. We quickly tried to cancel the main menu orders, (sweet and sour, vegetables etc), and were met with a barrage of reasons as to why we couldn't and it was basically our fault!. We did ask for a different waiter to attend, but that seemed to fall on deaf ears. We ate what dim sum we had ordered, (they wouldn't let us cancel the whole thing and start again), paid up and left very disappointed. Maybe it was a bad day, however for the price of the menu I would expect far better service. Seems the whole of China town is going that way as we have experienced similar service elsewhere. Lesson for us.. if you want good Chinese food, avoid China town!

This was my first stop in London shortly after landing. The food was comforting and delicious! The soup dumplings were my personal favourite. I would definitely recommend any of the dumplings! The service was quick and ordering was simple. It was a touch more expensive than I would have liked but still worth it. The green tea was also phenomenal.

Tasteful Chinese cuisine served in a soothing, clean, white-and-silver space. The crispy half duck came with a generous amount of duck and wraps and condiments, the wood ears and cabbage were simple but tasty, the crispy noodles had ample seafood on it, and the soup dumplings were highly credible.

Typical of London China towns restaurants busy loud food was awesome. Portions were really large. Service was good. Nothing amazing but not bad either. The restaurant was very busy and we didn't wait long. Would definitely return. The menu needs simplifying there's far to many dishes you would need at least 40 minutes to digest what's in offer.

Dined here after 1am.. wasn't great. The fried ho fun was decent. I guess everyone is tired by that point anyway. But the rice with roast meat was drowned in sauce that was way too sweet for me (not used to that! But some may like it). I've previously had dimsum here which was good I thought

I have always seen this place but never been in. We organized a family meal for 14 ppl. Booking was easy and they were very accommodating. We ordered the dim sum dishes we recognized and a whole lot more! The saying goes you should over order than leave still feeling hungry. Whole roast duck, beef ho fun, morning glory, salt fish fried rice, giant sui mai (delicious), plenty of dim sum dishes! Will be coming again.

Duck and plum porridge was delicious. The seafood noodle had no taste, I didn't like it, but the meat noodle was very good. dim sum was light and delicious. thanks.

The place is great, the staff is friendly, the food is very very good and you can see how they prepare the dumplings, so it’s also entertaining. We had the beef soup, rice and soup dumplings spicy everything was amazing, the chili sauce was divine. They have a very comprehensive allergen menu and good soy free options. Will definetly come back.

A large range of dishes and Dim Sum, that were really tasty. Recommend the roast meats and rice - very nice! Good value for money.

Absolutely fantastic food and great value. The dumplings are obviously incredible and the duck and pancakes were fantastic. The black bean wide noodles with beef were to die for. Would definitely recommend a visit if you're in the area!! Service was very abrupt and we weren't allowed to have dessert but I assume the high turnover is how the food costs are kept low.

Disappointed. Felt more of a tourist trap. Fried Squid with salt and pepper was very nice. Unfortunately the other dim sum where not so good. I wanted to try. Small portion of steamed dumpling with glass dumpling wrapping (Ha Kau). Waiter upsold me a large tasting dim sum. Which didn't taste so good and also had a different wrapper. Waitress wasn't very friendly and helpfull. It felt like rush job so they can sell the table again. One thing i noticed. They whispered more carefully after they noticed that i could understand some chinese and my way around Chinese food. I have been to a lot of Cantonese restaurant. And there are better choices in China town. Don't recommend if you want quality and good service.

The dumplings Whr really good. There was no wait but it was rather busy. The dumplings came out quickly. The staff was super nice and helpful when we asked about the menu and what they would recommend they went out f thr way to explain individual dishes. Great experience will be coming back soon.

*VERY INHUMANE SERVICE* We went inside, asked for a table for 4, sat down and casually our friend called us he was in the area so we told him to come over and have dinner with us. He came in and greeted us. As soon as he wanted to sit down he was stopped by the angry security guard asking him to leave as we had initially told him we were 4. The manager started screaming at my friends and told our friend to wait outside till we finished our dinner EVEN WHEN THEY HAD PLENTY OF SPACE. ( See Pictures). This place has the worst customer service Ive seen BY FAR. Only good thing about this place is Holly and her sister (Twin waitresses) who apologized at the end! Nevertheless, the dumplings are good.

The waiters were extremely friendly and the food arrived quickly. So so many options to choose from - we almost couldn’t decide! A must try are the soup dumplings and the cucumber in chili oil! Everything was so flavorful and delicious. Even though the food is a bit pricey, it’s definitely worth a try!

I was unsure of this one, to be honest, it was an impulse stop! But it didn’t disappoint! We only tried the dumplings, would 100% go back again! The service was quick and efficient! Jasmine tea was perfect too!

Had to wait from the entrance due to many customers. But as soon as I got a table and ordered, foods served so fast. Great service and taste, like the place.

I set out to find a reliable Chinese restaurant, and this place absolutely delivered. Despite a short wait in the queue (around 5 minutes), the service was impressively fast. They maintained the same iconic dishes that I've always loved. Specifically, the spicy Shichuan-style beef was absolutely delicious, meeting my expectations. Our order included fried egg rice, crispy duck, the beef, and an assortment of dumplings, all of which were quite enjoyable, although the dumplings were my least favorite. The ambiance might not cater to those seeking a fancy setting; it's a bit shabby, yet charming in its own way. Despite this, it's quickly becoming one of my favorite Chinese spots in London. Situated in Chinatown, it offers an authentic atmosphere, allowing visitors to immerse themselves and explore the area further. I'll definitely be returning!

Will come on a rainy day, one of those where you cant complain but nothing amazing. Good dim sum at a good price.

Diamond in the rough! I am a repeat visitor because this place either always have the shortest queue or none at all, compared to the others around in the area. The food is not bad, hearty, British chinese comfort food quick fix! The sweet and sour pork and king prawns were good. But alas, it was presented with a cold, wet serving spoon. It’s a bizarre and unpleasant experience I must admit. The dumplings were of good size and portion. But the thickness of the dumpling skin can be inconsistent. So it’s not as refined as it can be. The staff are really friendly to young children so it is family friendly. There is a baby changing area in the ground floor toilet. But, it’s dirty and thankfully not smelly! Nonetheless I cringe with disgust. Clean this up and I can notch up a star. All round cleanliness is just paramount! Huge potential to be a great restaurant. Would I come back? Probably, but not within a short period of time.
