We ate dinner at this TG Friday's location in Leicester Square. The food was quite good. The restaurant decor is super cute. Service was a little slow and we had to wait 20 minutes for our table despite having reservations.

I would give no star if I could but one star is the only star in the whole restaurant which is the guy serving at bar. It so disheartening to see how such a good restaurant can go down so badly. I went to the restaurant on 11th December to celebrate my kids birthday but that was my mistake. The whole experience was so bad it literally spoiled my evening. To start with even after booking in advance we had to queue up in rain which I could understand as it’s busy time and staff shortage but restaurant was relatively empty. We had to wait for food for nearly 45 mins and when it arrived it was all cold, took me 15 mins to find someone to tell about food once they took it back it took them another 25 mins to get us the food. It took nearly 20 mins to get a drink and every time I have to leave my table to find someone giggling at the back of the restaurant. To make it worse they billed me for all the food twice and to correct it took them another 20 mins and 3 calls. When I asked to speak to manager the lady went to get the manager but never came back. It was not short staffed and very busy it was just no one was keen on working and as if they can’t be bothered. Seriously will never ever go again or suggest anyone else.

We arrived at lunchtime on the off-chance there was a table free. It was only early so there was plenty of room. The staff were very friendly and took our orders quickly.the food took a long time to arrive which was surprising as it was quiet. Our server was so lovely though, when he brought the food he also brought an extra portion of chips on the house and apologised for the wait .(we didn't even complain) then he asked what the occasion was , I said it was my sons birthday the following day but he didn't want a fuss. When he brought the bill he also brought slice of red velvet cake in a box with a little candle. The food was lovely, I had the chilli chimichanga, and my sister had the cajun chicken pasta. Both were very tasty,as qwre the fries.

Tasty food and great cocktails with perfect portion sizes, speedy service and a Friday night atmosphere! Easy to locate and close to the theatres

Good restaurant. However, they let you in at the booking time but would not provide tables for at least 30 mins keeping you waiting at the bar even though they have empty tables. I guess, they tend to increase their bar sales with this policy. But that is not ideal with everyone, for example if someone has babies, or someone is pregnant or some disability, they won't be able to stand for 30 mins, neither thay are able to sit on high chairs. Otherwise no complains. Food was good in portions. Good ambience and staff were all nice except one who was showing tables at the very beginning.

Brilliant place to eat. The restaurant has so much atmosphere. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The food was so tasty and hot and service was quick. The salad was lovely and fries and chicken was so soft and tender. The lemonade was great and you can have bottomless ones, so you can get as much as you want. The decor is brilliant even has a Harley Davidson downstairs near the toilets. Would definitely recommend it to anyone and would definitely visit again.

Our waiter was very attentive and very personable his name was Sam. My steak was well cooked but over salted but not to a degree where as I could not eat it but enough to make me very thirsty. My only fault if very picky would be that the glass that was given to me with my beer was very wet inside and had clearly not been dried after washing.

Hi have been hear before and was good, this time was not so. Booked 3 days before going as we had 2 wheelchair users with us, got there and the table wasn’t ready, which was disappointing as we had pre booked, they took 10mins but cleared a table that was suitable, it seems in Leicester Square the restaurants don’t allocate you a table but take your booking and panic when you arrive. We weren’t offered disabled access via the exit, so had to go up step to get into the restaurant. Then the 10 min wait for a table, definitely not enough staff on. Then a near 20 mins for a staff member to take our order , even though we had been ready to order our food for 10mins, i ordered the half rack of Ribs and my wife the Garlic and herb Chicken, the salsa dip was hot and had a kick to it that wasn’t advertised and 4 kids meals. These came fairly quickly, but the size of my ribs were quite small compared to a harvester , £15 for this dish was about £4 too expensive , 1 kids dish was not available. The staff were very polite and friendly . Now coming to pay my bill was a nightmare, tried for 20 mins to pay as was due to take the children to see Mary Poppins, 2 staff members said it was the system that wasn’t working, so they finally got a manager over, i asked what was the problem was and I could pay cash if it helped, this helped, I was honest and told him all of our dishes and and drinks, he did redeem himself and gave us £20 off the bill for being so honest. The food was ok , but would only return with out the children as the disabled access isn’t great and the booking system obviously doesn’t work properly. 3 stars due to refund of money and polite staff

Absolutely piss poor, what has happened to TGI’s ?? So sad to have to leave a bad review. Quiet Tuesday lunch in Leicester Square was a big surprise (albeit 12 noon)🧐 Was sat down and shown to my table, given enough time to read menu but my first choice was unavailable, the waiter was aware and double checked, he offered an alternative and I was fine with that. However my next choice, main course, was greeted with “that’s no longer available as the menu is changing next week” (rib eye steak), 0 for 2 in a heartbeat in Leicester Square on a Tuesday lunch. Sadly I left as I wasn’t very happy. Plenty of staff working, I would suggest management here get the menus changed so customers are notified of non available items, (little note on each would be very easy). Alas I ended up in BURGER KING up the road. I was later out in Westminster and a lady working stated the same from the afternoon. That’s two walkouts! How many more were there? Very sad as TGI’s was always a go to outlet. Not anymore. 🙈

The food portion was a good size, I had the share plater with my work colleague. I had meat plater it was lovely but the pork was over Saltley. The chocolate brownie was nice but a small portion for the price.

Where do I start…..one of the worst restaurants I’ve been to in London. Booked a table and still waited 20 minutes to be seated whilst water dripping on us from the ceiling, once seated we had to wait another 20 minutes (after asking for someone to come and serve us). Starter came before our drinks, this was also after the couple who were served after us main and drinks came. Starter of Mac and cheese balls was the tiniest portion I’ve had and NOT WORTH IT. Main course came after 1 hour of initially ordering and was lukewarm, also not worth how much we were charged. Main course was finished within 10 minutes but of course not before the waiter came with our bill (whilst we were eating!!!). At least we had good entertainment of the guy sitting across from us stealing food, pouring alcohol in his drinks and stealing receipts Overall I definitely can’t recommend visiting this TGI’s unless you want disappointment and long waiting times.

TGI Fridays has a very American diner feel to it and a matching selection of food. I've been a couple of times, and nothing really caught my attention, other than the sauce for the chicken, which is great. Customer service was good. Unfortunately, they stopped selling my favourite dessert, Eton Mess!

We went to have some birthday cocktails and were told two places where we could sit. We sat down and got moved on twice as they were areas for people who were eating. There was hardly anyone there anyway. Waited 15 minutes to be served and went up to the bar a number of times to be told someone would be over to take our order. This didn't happen, while staff were standing around talking. Seven of them singing happy birthday to one person. Ended up walking out and going to the alchemist up the road. Better looking cocktails, better, friendlier service and hardly any difference in price. TGI is a lovely looking place but they obviously aren't bothered about having your custom unless you eat there too.

The service and atmosphere was impeccable. I did feel like the food was the thing that let the whole experience down. It just felt OK.

Took a while before I was accommodated to my seat despite the place was not that crowded when I came in yesterday but still overall a great dining experience. Dining staff was really nice, really like her fun attitude. And food is superb as always. Boneless hot wings!❤️

First impression was unacceptable. When we arrived to the reception area, staffs were talking to each other and ignore us. So we walk past them to find someone to get us a table then the host rose her voice rudely “hello Hellooooo” so unprofessionally! Food were good but natcho were soft instead of crispy, the chicken strips was good as usual. Our waiter also kind. Only very bad experience was the host at reception area.

We were served by Malakai and he his service was exemplary. Very polite and attentive. The food was served in a timely manor, we were not waiting long and it didn't come out to quick. It tasted very nice and was well cooked and seasoned/glazed. The place was quite quiet. But it was a Tuesday night before the theater. All round we thoroughly enjoyed the meal.

Quickly seated. Our server was very nice & polite but there were lots just standing around doing nothing but talking to each other. Food was acceptable, expensive for what you get as my steak was tiny. Does have a nice atmosphere and would be great for a party. The toilets however were terrible, very dirty and several cubicles not working.

Awesome restaurant with great food and fantastic service, a bit on the expensive side but worth it. Also, booking a table in advance is a good idea. We went twice and both times it was absolutely great, the burgers were delicious, the fried chicken was as well, the fries were crispy and the sauces were also tasty. They have a large selection of cocktails too, we got two different ones and both were very good, even though they were pretty weak alcohol-wise. The service was terrific, everyone was super friendly and nice. The tables were cleaned quickly, we were asked for a refill as well as cocktails and dessert, all in all fantastic service! The prices are alright for the quality of the food, however, they are a bit more expensive than comparable restaurants in the area, but definitely worth it. Also, it's usually quite full, so booking a table is a good idea. To summarize, we enjoyed it a lot and will definitely visit again when we are in the area! Great experience all around!

Portion & plate size has gradually gotten smaller over the visits. Never had a bad experience when I’ve gone , sesame chicken is a top choice I’d always recommend. Burger was average nothing special . Decent restaurant food, does the job , nothing super special.

So, Matt with the Merc hat saved this from being a 1 star review. Table of 4 booked in at 1930hrs. We arrived at 1930hrs to be told we have to wait outside until our seating time.... Which was 1930hrs... Made no sense but we're soon allowed in and told to sit at the bar and we would be called over. Half an hour passed and we think we've been forgotten as other people came and went from the bar so a staff member was asked and we were advised our table will be ready soon. Another half an hour and Matt noticed we had still not been sat so worked his magic and we got our table. A round of drinks as an apology and away we went. So an hour's wait for our booked table but was sorted with free drinks, so that's why it's not a 5 star review as otherwise it would have been. The food came out quickly and was very nice. I had the inferno burger, tasty! The wife had something vegi and she stated it was very good. Ribs - gooood :) The Smores ice cream was very nice, although not sure they were melted. All in all, without the wait this would have been a 5 star review and top marks to Matt to looking after us.

We hadn't booked a table, so they said we would be booked in at 2.30. So we wouldn't have had a long wait. We took a seat at the bar and ordered a drink. But after seeing others being seated before us we went up to ask when we would be seated to be informed they had forgotten about us. Apart from that, we thought the food was amazing, really good food. I had the cheeseburger and It was delicious. Love the fries as well, and the sauce that came with it was really nice, maybe honey n mustard. Bonus having a blue light card as part of the NHS and I get a nice discount on food at 20% off.

Great service from our waitress, good food and good atmosphere. Portion sizes have definitely gone down in size since previous visits. However will definitely be back in the future.

Took a very long time to be able to go to Fridays: the last time I tried at this restaurant (by myself) the staff just ignored me and talked amongst themselves. Fortunately I had a guest this time and were able to get a table, though we were placed right at the back next to an uncleared table. My guest was initially given a dirty(?) glass for their lemonade, which was rectified by the server (who did a good job). While the whole experience wasn't great, the food was as good as I remember.

Booked a table on the fly and waited 10 minutes for it to become available. We were lead to the table by the front desk staff, and was served by Malakai, who was absolutely superb throughout. Very friendly and engaging. Food was delicious. Pictured: half rack ultimate ribs, legendary glaze, house fries, corn on the cob, coleslaw. Only downside was that it was a little expensive (2 kids and 2 adults came to about £55). But being in central London, not many places will be "cheap" nowadays anyway! Other than that, the staff, atmosphere and service was great.

Couldn't fault them at all! Our server was so kind and accommodating and apologised when our starters took a while to get out. Amazing experience and I'd reccomend if you're in Leicester Square!

  • 1/5 Adam M. 8 months ago on Google
Service: extremely slow. 7 staff singing happy birthday over and over again but no one to bring us our drinks. Staff are standing at the bar talking to their colleagues and not paying attention to the customers. Food: terrible, wings were very dry, had to ask for extra sauce which took 12 years to arrive. Ribs were burnt and tasteless. Cocktails are £17 and watered down. Just tastes like juice and water.

Weird venue all round anyway that’s kind of past it’s hey day, but it’s still a decent staple if you want something open with plenty of seats and an extensive menu. Loads of 2-4-1 cocktails during happy hour, drinks were pretty good though not really matching the photographs in the heavily illustrated menus. The atmosphere is decent if you don’t expect it to be something it isn’t. Service pretty good!

During my recent visit to TGI Friday's in Leicester Square, I had a satisfying dining experience overall. The food was exceptionally tasty, and the service was quick and efficient. The menu at TGI Friday's offered a wide variety of options, and the dishes I ordered were flavorful and enjoyable. The restaurant's signature dishes lived up to their reputation, and I was particularly impressed with the quality and taste of the food. The service provided by the staff was prompt and attentive. Our orders were taken swiftly, and the food arrived at our table in a timely manner. The staff members were friendly and accommodating, ensuring that we had an enjoyable dining experience. However, one area where the restaurant could have improved was in their communication regarding a delay in one of our drinks. While the overall service was quick, we experienced a delay in receiving one of our beverages. It would have been appreciated if the staff had communicated the delay to us proactively, ensuring that we were aware of the situation. Despite this minor setback, I found the overall experience at TGI Friday's in Leicester Square to be positive. The delicious food, quick service, and friendly staff contributed to an enjoyable dining experience. I would recommend TGI Friday's to those looking for a tasty meal in a lively atmosphere.

Ordered the BBQ beef rib for 24 pounds, quite big size, very tender and tasty. Loved the food quality! The store famous sauce is sweet but good as well. But the service was not the best. We ordered the drink, when the two cups were served, they were dripping everywhere, on our bags as well... Then while we were still finishing eating, the waiteress already put the bill on table, asking how we want to pay...later she explained there's 1.5h limit in system... but a more polite manner would have been highly appreciated.

First time having the 2 for £18 menu and it did not disappoint. It was so varied had the corn dogs for appetizers, my favourite cocktail (purple rain) and ribs it was so very filling. The only negative is we arrived at 15:00 waited to be at entrance to be seated and no one came after 30 mins after being fed up we sat ourselves no one came to table so had to go find someone. No visible servers until 16:20 the manager did however apologise.

Ordered a burger it was sent incorrectly on 3 occasions the third occasion the burger was correct but missing gravy. A server smacked my chair with a table leg whilst carrying it behind me and marked my coat and just walked off was so busy couldn't get anyone's attention. The only good thing was that the food itself was very good when we actually got it. Our server was also very good. The toilets were absolutely disgusting and let the place down big time i tried to let a member of staff know but they said sorry your going to have to wait and never came back and i couldn't be bothered to waite around. Food was good but most other parts let the place down.

Its been months since me and my husband had planned to come to TGI Fridays. Because once, a few years ago, we actually loved it there - the food, the service, the setting. Today was beyond disappointing. It started with the woman sitting at the entry, telling us that we had to wait 20 minutes for a table, although 60 % of the tables were empty. We decided to wait at the bar and start with a cocktail, because years ago this started our appreciation for TGIF, with a great barkeeper and good cocktails. As we arrived, the seat was covered in spill of some sort, the barkeeper cleaned it after we said something. The cocktail was great actually, but after 25 minutes waiting and more and more tables emptying, no one seemed to know we were waiting to be seated. After I asked we got seated at a table that had already been empty for over 30 minutes. Nevermind, we wanted to eat - so we decided fast, but had to wait for another 30 minutes. As the food after another 25 minutes finally came, the staff decided that it was the right time to open the door to get the outside tables inside. We would have understood if they wouldve worked the whole time - they didnt. Most of the 30 minutes it was opened, no one did anything. Although the dishes were warm, our food was cold within minutes. The outside temperature was 10 degrees - after the 30 minutes it felt as though we were sitting outside the whole evening. If the staff had payed attention, they wouldve seen, that we were eating 5 meters away from the door. Crazy idea: maybe they could have re-seated us with the food somewhere else? The food was actually great. But the staff never came to our table voluntarily, we always had to ask for it. No one seemed to care - there were maybe 10 people walking around the whole time we were there, but they didnt seem to look out for guests or anything. In the end, we werent asked anything, but we gave a feedback, so it cant be suprising to read this. We are so disappointed that we will not return, although the food and drinks were good.
