My son had his tonsils and adenoids removed by Mr Tweedie at the Cromwell hospital. I was very apprehensive about the procedure but Mr Tweedie was absolutely wonderful and put my mind totally at rest after the first consultation. He has an amazing bed side manor and really is a brilliant doctor in my opinion. My son did really well after the operation (even eating a full plate of fish fingers and chips) the recovery was really quick and easy and we can already see the benefits of him having the operation. I would highly recommend Mr Tweedie, we had an excellent experience

Doctor Tweedie is incredible. Not only has he taken great care of my 16 old months son, but also, he is lovely to speak with at every appointment. It’s rare to find an ENT that combines such personal touches and care for a patient as a person with outstanding quality of medical care. I highly recommend becoming his patient! My son surfed from sleep apnea and not only Doctor Tweedie diagnosed the issue within 30 minutes but also the surgery was very quick and went well. Doctor Tweedie went above and beyond to help after the operation and provide excellent care and advice. Mrs. Lester

Dr Tweedie removed my sons adenoids and tonsils and we are so grateful to him for making the experience so comfortable for us all. In the first consultation Dr Tweedie spent a great deal of time with us to answer any questions and address any concerns we had. He was always available for any questions we had and was incredibly patient with us:) He provided excellent guidance in the treatment of our 4 year old and on procedure day he was so attentive and caring to my son. The pre op and post op care was exceptional and he checked in on our son a couple of times in the following days to make sure all was ok. I would highly recommend Dr Tweedie to any parent and we are so lucky we found him to treat our son.

Highly recommend Mr Tweedie for children’s ENT. Most amazing bedside manner. Excellent way to explain to parents using research evidence. Kind and reassuring with children. Unbelievably quick recovery from surgery. For us results were striking and immediate. Excellent follow up. Could not recommend more highly. Thank you most grateful.

I was going to give the events of the day but there was too much to write here. So instead, I will say - when we first me Dr.Tweedie he was friendly, nice, great with the kids and explained how the operation worked, very professionally, leaving me feel like we made the right decision. The day of the op went very smoothly, we had a private room, the hospital staff friendly, explained everything well, and gave our boy all the toys he wanted to occupy him. From going under to back up on the ward was less than an hour, and apart from being a bit miffed and groggy from the anaesthetic, he was fine - drinking and eating well! Post recovery was fine, a little difficult to administer the meds on a 3 year old but everything cleared up in a few days. One thing which was very apparent is our boy did not stop talking and singing, like he had complete freedom in his throat and wanted to sing it from the hilltops! Overall, a very good operation by a very good doctor and staff, would highly recommend, thanks Dr.Tweedie

Dr Tweedie was outstanding. We felt our 3 year old was in the best of hands from first consultation, to operating table, to discharge. His care was individualised and directive, which was very reassuring for us. We would absolutely recommend Dr Tweedie again and again.

I highly recommend Dr. Tweedie. My daughter (18 months old) needed an urgent adenotonsillectomy and he was really quick booking the appointment for it to be done in the Portland Hospital. The surgery went great, my daughter could eat solid food in just some hours and in less than a week she was attending nursery. Dr. Tweedie was brilliant in his explanations, and in giving us calm that everything was going to be fine. We can only speak well about him because he was very professional and understanding. Our daughter now feels really good, sleeps through the night and can finally have a normal lifestyle. We can´t ask for more!

We brought our 4 year old son to see Mr Tweedie at the Portland Hospital earlier this year. Our son needed grommets and his tonsils and adenoids removed due to loss of hearing and also, sleep apnea. We were very nervous at the mention of surgery, especially considering our son was so young and we were unsure as to how he would respond to anesthetic. From the beginning of the process to the end, Mr Tweedie and his secretary were amazing and so helpful, from arranging the surgery to guiding us through it on the day. We could have not asked for a better surgeon, Mr Tweedie has a lovely manner with parents and children alike, you are put at ease from the moment you walk into a room. Also, he is very informative and is happy to answer any questions you may have. Our son has now fully recovered and his hearing is restored. We would 100% recommend Mr Tweedie and the team at the Portland Hospital!

Mr Tweedie is one of a kind. We took our 2 year old son to him after he was recommended to us for his expertise by 3 different consultants. We instantly felt heard. Our son needed tonsil and adenoid removal and of course we were nervous. However, Mr Tweedie and his team throughout the entire process were incredibly understanding, thoughtful and provided the highest standard of care. Mr Tweedie’s bed side manner is second to none! He takes his time and is kind. Having this surgery done has changed our sons life more than we could have imagined and now he is thriving after an extremely quick recovery. There are not enough words to express our gratitude.

I am pleased to share the very good experience we had with Mr Tweedie who performed my daughter's adenotonsillectomy surgery. His exceptional communication, support, and expertise exceeded our expectations. The surgery went even better than anticipated and my daughter's recovery was outstanding. From Friday's surgery to Monday, she was ready to return to school! The doctor's thorough explanations and empathetic approach put us at ease and his attentive care and availability for any concerns truly made a difference. I highly recommend the staff, especially for being very supportive with my autistic daughter and this exceptional doctor for anyone seeking outstanding medical care. Thank you for an amazing experience! Marian

Mr Tweedie was very supportive before and after my daughter's recent procedure. She made a swift recovery from the surgery and her symptoms are almost entirely resolved. I would highly recommend Mr Tweedie and his team to anyone considering seeking advice from an ENT specialist.

We would like to say huge thank you for Dr. Daniel Tweedie who is an excellent and caring ENT Surgeon. Our son had adenotonsillectomy procedure and received excellent care. The whole process was managed very professionally from the initial consultation and surgery to the post op care. We are so pleased with the results, because it’s tremendously changed our son’s life and would highly recommend Dr. Daniel Tweedie.

Mr Tweedie and team have been truly wonderful from start to finish with regards to my sons assessment and management for the removal of his adenoids and tonsils. Mr Tweedie was very honest and open about the various treatment options/timings and we felt empowered to make shared decisions about our sons care. The secretarial staff were all very prompt in responding to any emails/queries and we felt prepared for the procedure on the day. The staff involved in our sons care were very approachable and caring and my son even said he enjoyed his day at the hospital/visiting the doctors post surgery! We are so pleased we opted for the surgery; my son has stopped snoring/pausing with his breathing/stopped choking on food since the procedure and these results were obvious in the first 48hrs. His speech has improved remarkably over the following weeks and he has almost gained 3Kg in 3 months (he is 3.5yrs old) now he is not having to work so hard to breathe overnight. Mr Tweedie always welcomed any communication/queries anytime in the pre-op and post-op period and we felt very well supported. I would whole heartedly recommend Mr Tweedie and his team.

We’ve had a fantastic experience with Mr Tweedie having been under his care since my son was a toddler after repeated ear infections led to a chronic ear drum hole. Based on his advice we opted for a myringoplasty when my son was nearly 8- everything went smoothly and he is now able to resume normal activities 6 weeks after the procedure. My son really warmed to Mr Tweedie which was very important in the run up to the procedure. He and we felt in very safe hands throughout. Highly recommend!

Dr Daniel Tweedie was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. My son (3 and 3 months) needed an urgent adenotonsillectomy for sleep apnea. He was seen incredibly quickly and the surgery booked a week later (following the initial consultation). Everything was well explained and communicated throughout. The care by Daniel and his team was highly professional and personable, and nothing was too much trouble. A week later my son was sleeping through the night for the first time in his life. Life changing for him and for us. We cannot recommend Daniel enough! Thank you Daniel.

I highly recommend Dr Daniel Tweedie. Our daughter recently had her adenoids and tonsils removed. I was a little bit worried about surgery but from the first consultation with Dr Tweedie, he put us at ease and explained everything in detail. He is super good with kids too. We have a very positive experience overall, before, on the day of surgery and afterwards. Our daughter snored, had apneas at night and breath through her mouth day and night. After surgery (on the same day) we were surprise to see how she was now breathing through her nose, she doesn’t snore anymore and is much more rested every morning after a good night sleep. The surgery lasted 30 minutes. She had solid food for lunch and we went send back home around 4pm. The experience at the hospital with Dr Daniel’s team was excellent too, we were well care after, there was a playroom my daughter had a great time there before and after surgery. She had a super speedy recovery. The next day, she went back to school after lunch for about 2 hours and then we went to the park. She didn’t complained about pain or anything and felt overall really well. I am so glad we made the decision to bring her to surgery and I am so glad we were recommended Dr Daniel Tweedie by many parents. He is an excellent doctor and professional, very friendly and approachable. Our daughter couldn’t have been in better hands. Thank you

We recently entrusted Mr. Tweedie with the care of our son, Gauranga, for a Coblation intracapsular tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy, and our experience has been overwhelmingly positive. Tweedie's capability and expertise were evident from the initial consultation, instilling confidence in us. A thoughtful pre-surgery call from a nurse added a personal touch, demonstrating a commitment to patient-centred care and alleviating any pre-surgery concerns. Following the surgery, we observed a remarkable improvement in Gauranga's condition, crediting Tweedie's skilful expertise for the positive change. Our son doesn't even know what happened to him, seamlessly resuming normal food intake and daily activities from day 1, accompanied by a notable improvement in sleep quality. The recovery process exceeded our expectations, thanks to Tweedie's professionalism and dedication to patient well-being. Moreover, the call from Tweedie to check about Gauranga's well-being after surgery, though we missed and had to listen to voicemail, was par excellence. This attention to post-operative care further highlighted Tweedie's commitment to patient recovery. We wholeheartedly recommend Tweedie for tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy procedures. His standout qualities include expertise, compassion, and a genuine commitment to patient care. Our family is genuinely delighted with the surgery's outcome, and we confidently recommend Tweedie to anyone in need of high-quality medical care. In summary, Tweedie has earned our trust and gratitude for positively impacting Gauranga's health, and we sincerely thank him for making a significant difference in our lives.

My son received fantastic treatment from Mr Tweedie and his team. Daniel was professional, approachable and extremely supportive in what was a very worrying time for me as a parent. My son is thriving after his surgery and we could not have asked for better care both pre and post operatively. I would not hesitate to recommend.

We were lucky to have met Dr Tweedie and we will recommend him to others given our excellent experience. Our 7 year old daughter was constantly falling sick during 2022 and 2023, before Dr Tweedie performed surgery on her Adenoids and Tonsils in October. She has now fully recovered and is doing well. From the time of our first consultation, the whole experience was flawless. There was a constant flow of information and we knew what to expect at all stages, he (and Mari) were around to answer questions at short notice (pre and post procedure) and most importantly he took interest in the patient. Our 7 year old daughter was calm going into the surgery and had limited anxiety as Dr Tweedie made her feel relaxed. We are grateful for his help and will keep recommending him to others. Also massive call out to Mari (PA to Dr Tweedie) who was always there around to help!!

Mr Tweedie has been looking after our son for a couple of years now and there isn't anyone else who I would want (or trust) for paediatric ENT expertise and excellence. Our local NHS trust ENT consultants also offer private clinics, we choose to steer clear of them and opt for Mr Tweedie for the simple reason that he genuinely puts the care of the patient first and he is the best at what he does.

I would highly recommend Daniel tweedie. We went to him due to nhs not listening to us and found out both of my kids had enlarged adenoids causing nasal obstruction. He operated on then both which was successful. Made us feel at ease during the whole process. Has supported us afterwards whenever we have had any concerns. Just want to say thankyou Daniel tweedie for all your support through out this whole process and seeing us when we have had concerns. And also thankyou to Mari too for all your help and being there if we had any questions to ask. Will definitely come to you again if we have anymore problems.
