Great place for mudlarking or escaping the summer heat, when the tide is low you can walk along the bank of the Thames quite a way. Clearly not a destination but if you're in the isle of dogs it's worth stopping by on the way to The Gun (historic pub) or to Island Gardens or the docklands museum.

Great little beach. Kids love coming here, Great for mudlarkers! Can be a bit dirty, I've even found a few needles over the years - but that's the Thames for ya! The beach changes after every storm too. Sometimes sandy, some stoney, sometimes wood and rubbish galore. Lucky dip really! Also some poignant bible verse stones have been laid here for many years that speak something more beautiful than any sunset over this river.

It’s a privilege to live here. Calming sound of water, watching busy river and sitting on a pebbles during sunny day it’s basically everything I need to get my mind back on the track. Combine with a glass of chilled Gavi give extra pinch of spice to my evening.

There is a lot of garbage. The stairs are not cleaned. 😔

A space with an access to water. Thames isn’t particularly clean water. There is no sand, it’s not even pebble beach’. Rocks, rubbish, mug. I would not recommend coming here with kids as it isn’t safe for them to run around, sadly.
