First of all this GP deserves no stars. Absolutely useless. Nobody ever picks up their calls. Even if somebody does answer they will hang up on you. Disgusting and unprofessional attitude from these receptionists. The doctors don’t even bother seeing you, instead they think they can cure you through the phone. Which is so silly, Covid is out the window so that is pathetic to use that excuse. This online booking appointment system is not ideal for everyone. Many people especially the elderly would find it easier to call and have assistance whilst making bookings, but of course these rude receptionists are not caring at all. Straight up rude and have no manners or patience whatsoever. One day I made the call in front of them and they were just ignoring the calls. Or they turn off the line or simply pick up and hang up. Need to train these unprofessional unqualified staff or simply get rid because they are doing an awful job. I mean look at the reviews. It says it all. :)

The receptionists at this practice are exceptionally rude. There is upskilling needed here for telephone skills. Their very own automated service gives you the option not to do a online consultation and instead speak to a receptionist which I chose. In a very abrupt tone I was told I could make an appointment over the phone and needed to go online, I proceeded to explain I couldn’t do an online consultation and was asked why not, to which I replied it was personal and didn’t want to enclose my reasoning and asked for assistance and further explained I should not have to explain to anyone at reception why I can’t do an online form but if it’s that necessary - and gave the reason, I could hear the conversation was not going to go well and asked to speak to someone else twice, the receptionist processed to ask me for my details and I said I did not want to give them and just wanted to speak to someone else, I even asked the receptionist what was the reason for her tone and she reply “ well you havnt given me a reason youv just said you don’t want to explain” at this point I had told her my personal reason. I told her I did just tell her and that her tone was wrong and I wanted to speak to someone else to which she replied “ right well I’m just going to terminate the call now” no one with this demeanour should be working in health[care] No compassion or professionalism was shown on this call. The practice manager was just as disregarding and handled a conversation with comments such as “it’s a busy Monday morning, I’m not going to get into it with you” after me explaining the scenario and sharing feedback of my experience. There was no integrity here with any interaction and left me more distressed then prior to my initial call.

Indifferent and Uncaring Practice A practice which never assigns you a personal GP, nobody follows you up, Dr Osbourne refers me to hysteroscopy for polyps without even examining me - only by reading an out-dated letter on my profile. I tell her that I would like to see gyneacologist, instead she insists that i should not waste an appointment and books it with Whittington. Despite my many requests i never get a ultrasound Nobody examines me. On the day of the procedure which the GP insisted was necessary, I am told that the hospital has no information about me whatsoever. They go ahead with the booked hysteroscopy - I receive a general anaesthetic only to be told I had no polyp to be removed in the first place. I write to them through the contact form. I raise this along with all the other referrals that were never followed up. Instead of an apology and making amends my letter is left unresponded. So it is most certainly not just the receptionist but a very bad management with no care for the patient at all. This is the worst GP practice experience for me. I would not wish to my worst enemy.

Literally impossible to reach. Have been calling all day repeatedly for 5 hours straight to book an appointment and no-one has the decency to pick up. Absolutely disgraceful, not the first time it has happened. I work 3 jobs I cannot be visiting the surgery simply to speak to someone because the receptionists are not doing their job.

I am genuinely baffled by the negative reviews. This GP surgery has been amazing. I have never waited more than a few hours for a response to an online consultation. I have always been offered a face-to-face appointment where required. The admin side of things works perfectly - it has never been easier to talk to a doctor or get a prescription sorted. I am so grateful to the wonderful staff at Blithehale - they have been extremely kind, attentive and patient with me following the birth of our first baby during the pandemic - I honestly contacted them on a weekly basis with one problem or another - and they have been just amazing.

Unimaginable levels of negligence. You can’t book appointments it’s so tiring to get anything done you end up giving up. Most practices you can book your appointment on NHS app - not this one You try online consultation won’t lead to any appointment- you call for an acute problem of extreme that you can’t stay awake and they would tell you you should discuss it with the doctor on your already scheduled appointment for something else and it’s not for another 10 days. Those appointments are 10 minutes They would ”forget” to do your referrals for months even if you remind them

The receptionists are vile human beings. Absolutely disgusted. It's extremely upsetting to be speaking to a bunch of rude, impolite, ignorant and insulting bunch of receptionists just to book a simple appointment with the GP. I am disgusted at their lack of common curtesy, or even 'common sense' to deal with a query. I have been seeking to speak to a GP for the last three weeks and I still haven't been able to speak to a GP. I struggle with dry eyes, light sensitivity. Over the last two weeks I have tried numerous times to get hold of a GP to provide me with prescription. The pharmacy has told me the eye ointments were not available and for me to go back to my GP. So I spoke to receptionist after 10 rounds of calling Blithehale as it needs to be prescribed medication. The receptionists made it very difficult for me. They advised me to do an online consultation. I thought a GP would call me and have a telephone consultation before but instead the GP sent me a text message. This isn't something I can resolve over a text message. I have a serious eye condition which is a risk. I need the correct medication. I was sent a text message saying my medication was changed. I tried the new medication which wasn't helping me at all. When I called again to make an appointment I was told to do an online consultation to which no one responded to for a whole week. I have had to make several requests online until a GP responded with a text giving me over the counter medication. So I called Blithehale again and again I had rude receptionists again speaking to me in a very unprofessional manner only because I wanted to make another request for my medication to be changed back. I recieved a text message from the GP saying I should buy over the counter drops? The GP didn't even read my request properly because the response given was completely opposite of what I was asking for. It is impossible to make an appointment with the GP, I didn't request for over the counter medication. The GP did not even look at my medical issue and just responded back to me with a text to get over the counter eye drops. I mean what the heck? How did it come to this? Such unprofessional GP's and receptionist staff. I am absolutely shocked. It's common sense to have a telephone conversation to know and understand someone's medical issue / need before sending a text with incorrect information. This is really not a helpful way to deal with patients who have medical conditions. It's taken me two weeks to resolve this and it's never been this difficult to get hold of a prescription or change medication. How did Blithehale centre get so bad? I remember it was so easy to book appointments before. Now the receptionists staffs and GP's are shambles! I have had to take days off from work and it's effected me and my day to day life. Blithehale Health centre have made our lives so difficult just to make a GP appointment. How many more complaints do you require to change your receptionists? You have made it very distressing for me and others. You have also not taken any of our reviews seriously as I can see this is a common issue which has persisted over the years. It effects our mental health too. Your online booking system and telephone system should both be available for booking appointments and GP consultations. I would appreciate it if you make this service easier by reviewing your protocols and considering everyones needs. Also please replace your receptionists. They are disgusting! The online booking system is not working for many of us. Especially elderly people who can't navigate online or understand English. Information is not being taken in to account and we are not getting the response we need to have our medical needs met.

Calling at 10:30 on a Tuesday to book an appointment, am the only one in line and no one dignifies to pick up the phone for more than 6 minutes. After picking up the phone she said she can't help to fill in the computer form as her hand need to pick up the phone and she arrange for others stuff to call me to fill that form before the doctor can call me as I have a bad coughing & Cov19 conditions.... Not sure what unprofessional receptionists are working at this Health Centre but they really need to be doing their job especially now that so many people need the NHS. Can someone looking into it?

Worst receptionists ever. And they never pick up. Eventually, I just walked into book an appointment. The medical professionals are good though. Could do with replacing the receptionists with a online system.

My god. The don't give a hoot attitude from these people is off the scale. 4 days I waited for a doctor to call me back even though I clearly stated I had an infection (which can kill) and all I needed was antibiotics, 2 of those days were Saturday and Sunday, which they are closed. Even more reason to call me back on the Friday knowing this. The blasé behaviour is shocking. Another time a doctor Yu called me back and when I was telling him my symptoms, he said, oh something else you got wrong with you. Next time request a longer appt. Yeah.

Absolutely pathetic service provided by Blithehale Medical . AVOID AT ALL COSTS. The receptionists do not know how to provide BASIC customer service to their patients. Being in the MEDICAL field, they should have some level of sympathy or understanding. Bunch of immature, pathetic rude staff, that do not have a clue about communication skills. If you’d like to be contacted whilst you’re on your death bed, they’ll still tell you to fill in the online consult -that get this -has reached it’s capacity by 10.30am. Don’t bother calling back the next day though because they dont see anyone ..TILL you do the online consult. The receptionist do not know how to spell their manager’s names because they call them by their nicknames. They are unaware of the full name of their managers -this is what I as a patient have been informed by Farha Chowdhury from reception. What a joke. Get these useless people out of reception or provide them with training, maybe then they can understand how to speak to people. It will also be helpful if the managers wrote their names in reception so the lovely receptionists know what their names are and how to spell it, in case they forget, due to their busy schedule of gossiping and joking around with each other -because of course it’s important to maintain a cohesive working environment within the workplace -thats what Blithehale Medical values most. Forget the patients -we just cause unnecessary headache isnt it

Some of the worst go receptionists ever. Doesn’t listen - when you call for an acute problem - still talks about giving a routine appointment next week- if you cannot complete an online consultation she won’t help you - talk about inclusive practice

On 18th May 2023, I had an appointment at Blithehale surgery. The receptionist was rude to me. She was uncooperative and treated me dismissively, using slang and speaking quickly in a lower voice, which compelled me to ask her to repeat what she said again and again It seems that her purpose was to make fun of me because l am a foreigner. The fact that l am not muslim did not give her the right to treat non-muslim people that way. I also noticed that she also gave superior smiles/glances and innuendos to her muslim colleagues and visitors: here the narcisist side of people like that. I want to point out that I experienced this racist attitude at Blithehale reception very often, even on the phone calls: in the past, l made a few reports about this. So if non-muslim people are not welcome at Blithehale, I recommend putting it in writing at the entrance, or I'm happy to change the practice where people with different backgrounds are welcome. What I often feel in Blithehale is a hateful/racist attitude towards not muslim-white skin people: Is this tolerable in 2023? Also: the doctor who was supposed to visit me was very arrogant, narcisist, and hostile. He had a bossy attitude, we almost got into an argument, and I was about to leave: he was so unprofessional! I perceived that it was my white skin and perhaps my religion different from his that gave rise to his hostile attitude. His bad manners went well with his lack of knowledge on the subject, too. The experience with this pseudo-doctor was very unpleasant and negative, in addition to its lack of professionalism he didn't convince me of the outcome: the previous day I was visited at the Spitalfield studio by a very friendly and professional doctor (even with a sense of humour which is always welcomed!), her diagnosis was totally different from this nasty racist doctor I saw on May 18 for my back-pain. l emailed to blithehale Centre a complaint asking to be examined again by a professional doctor, possibly not racist, nothing was done! l notified them that when l was visited by british/european doctors, l was always treated fairly and with respect while the muslims staff discriminated against me. The muslims staff seems they have something against me? Most of the time I visit this centre, I find a very unfriendly reception: it seems those people treat you the way according to your belief. l attached below a screenshot of their response. I underlined in yellow where they pretentiously asked me to : "Refrain from making any personal insult against any member of our staff" -- this is the same game as always: the perpetrator who now plays the victim by making fake allegations and no evidence? The racists that now accuse me of racism when l didn't say anything except enduring racism from Blithale racist staff. This kind of game goes for long, and the rest of the reviews here comment themselves. l got no problem to get CCTV checked.

Had my father who's disabled and frail as their patient. Even though he was disabled and living alone, the GP expected him to attend their surgery and always reluctant to visit him at home. On their system, they don't even have as disabled! The surgery relatives to bring him to the surgery, even when we live in a another borough! Be warned if you're elderly or disabled.

Agree with other reviewers this so called establishment certainly does not deserve any stars. Absolutely dreadful, receptionists think they own the GP surgery along with the NHS. Obese individuals who can’t stop eating sugar and fatty foods, obscure their thinking and attitude. How they are fit to work here is beggars belief. I guess it’s Tower Hamlets where mostly it’s all Asians so they have these useless people running the surgery. Had an operation needed to visit gp made online consultations but no response, when you call them they’ll tell you to go online. They really need to invest in decent staff and get rid of these low paid useless, full of themselves, impolite, no knowledge at all individuals who sit there with their hands up their backside. They cover themselves with hijab to show how true and sincere they are, but deep inside they are totally naked who wants to take a wage, tell friends and family that they work for NHS, without actually helping the patients. Totally disgusting how they take this wage taxpayers money and feed themselves and their family is totally mind boggling! Moved to a so much better surgery who actually employ decent and understanding staff.

Im still new to the area, I googled nearest hospital and it directed me here. Upon arrival this morning, I explained to receptionist, I'm feeling light headed by breathing is irregular and my chest has strange pain I've not felt before. Her response with Zero concern, "you need hommerton hospital, buses stop outside". Embarrassingly bad service given its a hospital.

Wanted to publish my review on the NHS website but was declined so here we are: I’ve had nothing but poor experiences with this practice. The doctors and nurses are competent but clearly rushed off their feet and don’t have the time to pay attention to complex issues or provide any in depth advice/reassurance/insight. As such, I’ve decided to take my chronic health condition to a specialist using my insurance. The reception staff are unhelpful at best and outright rude at worst. I needed a medical history form for my insurance claim, I submitted payment (£30!!) for this form on 17/08/2023 and to this day still do not have the completed form. I’ve pushed my hospital appt back twice as a result of the delay and have been suffering with debilitating symptoms throughout the entire process. Every time I followed up to try and obtain the form I was met with rudeness and frustration, as if I was bothering the staff for requesting they do their jobs. I was promised a callback more times than I can count and not once actually received said callback. Once the form was filled out (in late September) I was told there was absolutely no way I could receive a digital copy and I would have to go in to collect physically. I knew this was completely untrue as I had received the form digitally before, they simply couldn’t be bothered. As I had recently moved house, at this point I gave up and moved to my local GP - they were able to provide me a digital copy of the form the day after I registered. The best part? The doctor has forgotten to sign the form. I had paid £30 for a completely unusable form. I called Blithehale again to request that they complete the form in full and was told by the receptionist that as I was no longer their patient they could not complete the form. I then asked for a refund and she said she would speak with her manager, again she promised a call back and again I did not receive one. Finally I called back and was put in touch with someone I think was a manager, she offered to get the form completed for me the following Tuesday. I wasn’t holding my breath but was glad someone seemed somewhat willing to help me. I finally received notice that the form was completed yesterday but so far, I’ve been unable to access it despite being told it’s been scanned into my medical records (which I have full access to online now). I have no doubt that I will eventually receive the completed form and be done dealing with this practice but the experience I’ve had has been nothing short of shocking. Almost 2 months to get two sentences and a signature in writing. Faced rudeness and condescension through the whole experience. There is nothing they can do to compensate me for this experience, I only hope I can encourage others never to register here.

Desmond, the physiotherapist is excellent. Professional, punctual and efficient, he certainly knows his craft and manages to address everything in the limited 30 minutes provided. Assisted exercises, advice, hints and tips, booking me for their gym classes etc - he's absolutely brilliant and deserves to be promoted. If you're thinking of going here for physio, request Desmond. The physiotherapists and trainees are also very good with their classes, particularly Naisan Dehghani , Kane Healy, Flora Nugee, Tom Bennet, Akpewhen Ighomuaye and Juanita Jacobs - They all deserve mention.

Such a refreshing experience from a GP. I registered on Friday morning online and requested an appointment. I was called on Friday lunchtime and requested a doctor's appointment on Monday. By Monday afternoon I had an appointment with a doctor who listened and took me seriously, a referral, blood test booked and a prescription waiting for me at the pharmacy. Amazing care provided 💞

I’ve had a few experiences here, once personally and once escorting a neighbour in crisis. Both times the GP’s were warm and friendly and especially the second time went above and beyond to help. The welcoming culture seems to flow throughout the practice, from doctors to nurses, to receptionists.

Confusing information given. Arranged a test for blood pressure on the phone yesterday morning, due to be today. Was then rung back by reception and told I would be having a phone call appointment next week to discuss with the doctor what tests actually needed to be done. From that, one would assume the test for today had been cancelled, as why would you have a call to discuss what tests need to be done, if they have already been done? Now I have received an SMS telling me off for not attending todays appointment.... some clarity needs to be given when having someone call you 3 times in one day.

Seriously the worse part is the tone of their voices which is not fit to treat humans like that.Disgusting service.

Very Happy with the clinic, I have been with them for 4.5 years, multiple specialists are linked to the clinic so it is easy to get specialists appointements at the clinic. They are quick, thourough on prescriptions & follow-ups and the receptionists are very efficient (not the friendliest, but they are so busy I do not mind them getting to the point). I also got my IUD here within a month of enquiry. Overall very happy would recommend and I can't understand the one stars ratings...

Obviously it’s the NHS so it’s not like dealing with a business, but overall I’m pleased with my experience here. They have a good online booking/request system so you are not on the phone for hours trying to get an appointment (phoning them is, as with all NHS services, an exercise in futility, hence 4 stars instead of 5), the reception staff have always been pleasant enough to me, and every doctor I have spoken to has been friendly and has listened to what I have to say. They have always gotten back to me within their advertised two days and sometimes a lot quicker. Previously I was with Albion Health Centre - those leaving negative reviews here should try them to know what a bad GP actually looks like…

Having moved from north east I wanted a surgery that was very much like my old one. And I've got to say so far I have had no issues with this surgery. Yes everything is via e-consultation but that's everywhere now. But whenever I have encountered medical problems and filled out the e-form I've had a doctor call me within the time frame bar once. But they apologised and got a doctor to call me within 30min. The receptionist are okay. I really don't know what else I could say about them. They've not been rude or any member of staff to be fair. So far being joined at this surgery for a year now, their doing great. The nurse where so lovely, I feel like I've known them forever. So friendly and reassuring. Went in for a check up and she noticed I hadn't had a diabetes check since I had my baby considering I was gestational diabetic. So she took some bloods right there and then. Which not alot of people would do that, they would tell you to make another appointment for another time. Overall so far so good
