A community of Malankara Mar Thoma Syrian Church also known as the Mar Thoma Church (founded by St. Thomas apostle of Jesus in Kerala in AD52, south of India) worships here for nearly 40 years. it is an Eastern reformed Church in Full Communion with the Anglican Church. It is the only church in the world to have Full Communion with Mainline churches and also a distinguished entity in the World Council of Churches. There are Holy Communion services every Sunday from 10:15am to 12:30pm celebrated in a rich Eastern tradition. Every 2nd and 4th Sundays the service is in English. The 1st and 4th Sunday services are in the Indian Local Language- Malayalam. You'll be surprised to know that the service is of the St. James liturgy ( James brother of Jesus Christ) and every verse/ prayer chanted is from the Holy Bible. Every Sunday, more than 250 people come there for worship.

One of the City's lesser known garden spaces, the churchyard of St Katharine Cree, is a shaded green and quiet oasis. It is accessed via a gate and narrow passageway from Mitre Lane. The churchyard has a number of stone tombs, and some gravestones leaning against the wall of the church hall. The eastern end of the churchyard is known as The Fitch Garden, and features a large decorative stone fountain attached to a wall which incorporates the stonework from a former entrance to the churchyard dating from 1631. There are several wooden benches around the churchyard, but all are looking a bit sorry for themselves, and are in need of some TLC or replacement as of March 2020. Beautiful but it got quite cold by the end of the concert. Also lacking toilet facilities especially for ladies!

One of churches that has survived the Great London Fire. It’s quite historic in architecture too. It serves as a worship place for various communities

Beautiful ornate interior 13th century church with Tudor tower. Bells are run from the porch area at ground level. The chancel has a rose window, supposedly modelled on the larger one in Old St Paul's Cathedral.

Sublime music at the lunchtime concert at St Katharine Cree Church. Amazing original stained glass windows.

Enthusiastic service with well accompanied music. Highly receptive homely atmosphere. Many programs besides regular service.

What a lovely old church! Such an enjoyable visit = made everyone. Better "by the kindness of the vicar & staff." Who kindly interrupted their lunch, to let me see the churchyard too. Well worth a visit!!

A beautiful City Church. The churchyard behind the church is not normally accessible, however a member of the clergy kindly showed me it.
