One star is too much for how I was treated at their emergency. I spent more than 4 hours today waiting someone to see me. I am 15 weeks pregnant and I went because I saw some blood today. As you can imagine, I thought the worst and immediately went to the emergency. Apparently, for the staff my situation wasn't that important as they left me wait until 2am. I arrived at the hospital around 9.30pm! When they finally called me, after I asked several times at the reception what is going on, they informed me that there is no scan. And there is noone available during the weekend also. So they can actually check if my baby is OK on Monday, 2 days after! They left a pregnant woman to wait for more than 4 hours to let me know they don't have a scan !!!!! They did nothing at all to put my mind on ease.

I wise I can give 0 rates. I’m 6 weeks pregnant, I went to A&E with heavy bleeding. I waited for an hour to be seen by assessment nurse. He then told me I can wait and I can have a scan to check the baby. I waited for another 5 hours, I was finally seen by a doctor. He wanted urine sample from me then within 10-15 minutes said that most likely I’m having miscarriage.I was so upset crying my eyes out the whole night. I asked for a scan said to me we don’t have scans at A&E. If I knew from start I wouldn’t of waited for hours in pain. I then went into woman's diagnostic department at Whittington. The nurse checked with scan and said she see heart beat. She said the baby is still there. I couldn’t believe it. I was so happy to hear that. The doctor or nurse at the A&E need to seriously change them selves of how they treat patients. Very awful experience. I will not recommend anyone to go to this hospital.

Awful A&E experience. Arrived in an ambulance 4.30am and was put in a room without any explanation. After an hour I walked out trying to understand why, no one wanted to speak to me - until one lady said she’d check. 2 hours later the lady had “forgotten about it”. It’s now been 5 hours before they took the first blood test, and they’re saying 2 more hours to go before I get to see a doctor, and the nurse asked “do you still want to be seen?”, well why would an ambulance send me here if they didn’t think it was urgent to be seen?? Extremely rude staff.

I had a 15.45 appointment with the spinal clinic. I was phoned at 12.30 by a lovely lady and was asked if I could attend early. I did, I arrived at 14.30 and by 15.00 hrs I was out. The specialist I saw was very professional , friendly and answered all my questions. Very efficient, very friendly, very good. The hospital itself is very clean with a welcoming and helpful front desk. And it's only a 2 minute walk from The Archway tube, Northern line. Highly recommend.

I’ve been to this hospital for a simple urinary retention and they are not even able to knowledge that, can you imagine other issues? The time you have to wait is so long, the doctor did a catheter and the nurse took a urine and blood samples for tests. And after 3 weeks I’m still waiting for results. At the end I preferred to pay a specialist to have a proper consultation. I just called them again for a help to remove the catheter but the person talking at the phone she hung up. I gave one star because I could not give zero.

The worst place I have ever been. I don’t know where to begin. On Sunday evening I went there to check my son. I been waiting for so long so my son can be seen at A&E. I waited 10 hours to see the doctor. You might think that’s the worst. Noo that’s not the worst. The worst is this. A mother of 4 months baby was called after a such long wait. They didn’t even put her into a room but they was checking her on the chair. While the mother was taking the doctor the nurse was checking the baby. She was on her car sit and they place her on the chair. The baby fall with the face on the floor. Was such big shock for me. Then quickly they took her into the room with bed. What a shameeee. That nursed its disgusting didn’t even feel sorry . I hope you pay one day for that poor child. You gave me the mos worse experience of you being a nurse someone like. That lady didn’t know how to react if it was me I would have call police and act for my daughter. If she ever read my comment I hope she does something and share that horrible experience of her life. If a manager or whoever read this should open the camera and see this footage. Whoever have a kid or a baby they would definitely react over this. This is not a jock you need to treat someone like this. Do you have health and safety. Do you do the check up on the chair since when???? There is a room with beds to check them and make sure baby and kids are safe not on the chair. This hospital have really left me with trauma. That nurse should be shame and she shouldn’t work there.

Dimly lit depressing hole full of overflowing toilets and self-absorbed people sat on a chair all day waiting only to go home who don't listen to a word you say and clearly couldn't care less if you live or die. In the 3 years since I've had the misfortune of being referred here not one of the alleged specialists - probably just random people they picked off the street and handed a white coat to - managed to come up with anything even remotely resembling a diagnosis, let alone any form of treatment. All the while the rest of the staff in this dysfunctional freak show doesn't seem to have the capacity to master even the most basic tasks such as how to operate a phone line or respond to email.

After staying at Finchley Memorial Hospital in the A&E area for 7 hours, I was transferred to Whittington Hospital. Just to say thank you to the A&E team, doctors and nurses.. And an enormous thank you to the Reception desk team who were very helpful and supportive. (So much so, I left them pastries from Wenzel’s bakery!) Quite shocked to see their hospital team staff wearing body cameras- but this is life! And I suppose everyone has to adapt to ever-changing times where violence and allegations are ever present. From witnessing people being stabbed, a lady having a miscarriage with heavy bleeding, to young children with brain tumours.. Quite frightening to see everything unravelling so quickly. Quite a few people with Mental Health issues, screaming for help.. Gladly the Hospital Security Team are closely waiting for any ‘potential meltdowns’ to occur. I was patiently waiting for over 5 hours and was treated by Dr Butler in A&E who had a very professional and provided encouraging and supportive words. Once again, thank you everyone connected to our beloved, NHS. 💙

Visited emergency 🏥 Very good experience, I am personally a big fan of British culture and I believe disorganisation and waiting plays very important part in it. So in that case for me waiting from 10PM till 7AM to treat my ear infection was quite enjoyable. However, other patients waiting with me seemed to have a slightly different opinion about this situation and they were either leaving with their problems after 4-5 hours, or simply realising that some of those issues despite the amount of blood can be rather solved with the combination of home-remedies and caffeine-driven hatred Just like everything else in this god forsaken country that bares the sticker NHS is most likely heavily underfinanced and corrupted which leads to lack of staff members, bad or no equipment and overall chaos. Staff was 10/10 nice and professional. (No sarcasm included and big respect for putting up with all this mess) Took one ⭐ down as I finished around 7:30 and the pharmacy that had my antibiotics opened at 9....wish they let me wait just a bit longer :/

It was a VERY dirty waiting room, someone vomited on the floor, and it took an hour to be clean. (Eventually, a nurse had to clean it... no one came to clean the room for all four hours of waiting, meaning there is not or nobody is following a cleaning schedule routine there). The room where I was finally visited was even worse with a discharged syringe on the floor and dirty papers under the table. Dirty toilet and more than 4 hours waiting with a potential kidney stones issue going on (NO Emergencies arrived during the waiting.. just to specify that I am also aware of the priority code). I do understand that there is a lack of personal, but this goes far away from any acceptable hygienic standard. As a taxpayer, I think this is a disgrace and a joke. Please amend and fix these "timing and cleaning" issues because citizens deserve better than this. Also, the doctors and the personal deserve better than that; a clean and safe environment is not a benefit but a human necessity that needs to be accessible to everyone (not just for the private care). Apologies for being harsh, but action has to be taken to see changes.

Very good helpful and very friendly. I was first time here visited the place. The staff was good to help and sorted thing a some problems, wherever to want... Keep the good busy of staff active. The large knowledge staff was always helpful, understanding courage to checks and creates some test people private statement report. They are easily available and accessible. Special doctor teams are confidence-inspiring and full of reassurance. They will take care of the people very well. Respect for people to staff and post-operative patient debriefing is reassuring and of a very high professional standard. They gel as a team very well and make you feel at ease. You are definitely in great hands. Thank you so much helpful team for looking after me. It's great staff to help me to make understanding somehow suitable for this... I don't know wonder saying it is! You all guys deserve a 5* Super exceptional 1st Qualit. God bless. 🥇😇

We chose Whittington for our first born as it always had such good reviews and we could not have complained but the standards have fallen from our first experience. The nurse was always on her phone she had no idea how to take a blood sample and all she was interested in was getting back to the messages on her phone. No eye contact obviously as her phone had all of her attention heartles when battered my wife's vain. Then to talk about the doctors who seem they need to take a 10 minutes break after every scan what should have been a 30 minutes wait turned into an hour and a half as the same doctor that did the scan was always walking around after each scan

Doctor named Nilesh is completely rude to his nurse even though she was trying to help me and had a very patronising persona during my consultation, almost seemed like he was trying to scare me rather than help me. he made me feel really uncomfortable and instead of making me feel at ease when speaking about the surgery.I felt uncomfortable because of the way he spoke and the way he described the surgery , you’ve never had a bad experience with doctors but this has put you off getting surgeries in the future

I had to go to the emergency room A&E because I was in a lot of pain but was never seen too and left waiting for many hours while in agonizing pain, many other people were getting frustrated of waiting as well and it wasn't even that busy. They said they only have one doctor but yet I could see there were about 20 nurses on the computers while I was looking for somebody to actually help me. I gave up after I was told I could be waiting up to 10 hours to be seen. I went to get seen too else where. Don't bother going to this place unless you really have no other option and if you do then pack a bag with food and a sleeping bag/pillow and stuff because you'll be in there for quite a while. It used to be one of the best hospitals.

Useless! Doctor prescribed me antibiotics after waiting for 7 hours to have my 15 month old checked! Doctor advised me to come next day to pharmacy which opens 10:00 and closes 15:00! Arranged to get out of work based on what he told me! Came to the hospital and pharmacy was closed! What a joke! Couldn’t find the medicine for My little one anywhere and had to wait another day! UK is the most useless country I’ve known on health! Let’s see where else there is so much incompetence! Don’t waste your time with this useless hospital! They don’t care!

They moved my appointment from April to 16 December and made it telephone based. Then didn’t bother ringing me. The letter I received is woeful - telling me to bring my meds to the web clinic and report to the telephone clinic. If this is how it works it must be a bad place for treatment To cap it all - they’ve done it again I had to go and get X-rays on Christmas Eve ready for a Sat appointment on 30 December abd no one has rung. That’s the second consecutive time it’s happened.

Absolutely shocking My daughter and grandaughter attended with suspected menijitos and they didn't even do a blood test I would have thought that's the first thing they should of done! ? or any test for that matter and then tried to say they think it is chest infection what chest infection corses a rash!? without doing any blood tests !!! Or providing any medications. Waiting in there for 6 hours with a child who suffers with austium and epelsey with no food or drink .....Unbelievable ! Infact disgusting care!

Wish I could give the nurse who saw me and fixed me up a hug. She was kind and caring and understood where I was coming from. I’m sorry she understood so well from where from her own experiences but it meant she could be incredible in the circumstances. Keep going all, you offer an amazing and caring service

I accompanied my sister in A&E, as she attended A&E to seek some medical assistance. We waited 8 hours before my sister had been seen by a doctor😒 Although the A&E department were short of doctors, which I understand. Imagine a minimum waiting time of 6 hours for patients after 07:30pm, before being seen it is completely pathetic.

A dreadful visit to the hospital for a very routine procedure of a blood test for my daughter. Made to wait for 1 hour and 30 minutes when apparently we've been missed from the list and having a training nurse trying to find my daughter's vein as it was a piece of dead meat. Traumatising for the little one , no matter how brave she is. Shameful to say the least.

I was welcomed and attende d to full time. I never felt unwanted. Went through all their procedures smoothly. Every single face are very friendly. My health issues were efficiently attended to , no more coughs or headache. Whittington hospital comes highly recommended by north London residents and health professionals. They are busy but you are never abandoned.

Appalling service A&E, rude carelessly staff avoid at all cost. After 5 hours waiting in pain I collapsed on the floor in the assessment room only to be told to get up and wait in the waiting room as throwing myself on the floor wasn’t going to get me seen quicker. The only person who seemed to care was the very nice security guard who kindly helped me of the floor. You think you’re safe and will be looked after and cared for because you’re in a hospital but that’s definitely not the case with A&E at Whittington hospital. Truly Awful!!

Worse hospital experience i’ve had. Worse than north mid. Apart from the receptionist who was polite. The nurses and doctors were rough and did not really seem to care to actually help me as an individual.the communication between staff was poor, did not put the correct information in my file or on my notes, causing me additional pain, inconvenience and cost money in cab fairs over 48 hour period. Everyone just seems to pass the buck and neglect actual responsibility for me care.

My 82 year old mother looks like she is going to die. She was discharged yesterday afternoon. I guess they need the bed for someone younger. Very sad and upsetting. She deserves better treatment than this. Update: I was so concerned about my mothers condition I called an ambulance who also expressed concern that she had been discharged. She was taken back to the a&e yesterday afternoon and more than 24 hours later she is still in the Clinical Decision Unit in the a&e department. She has not been seen by a doctor for almost 24 hours and I did not receive an update. I came to the unit to find her naked and legs hanging off the bed with the curtain open. I know everyone is rushed off their feet and the hospital is clearly understaffed.

Was there for a specific case that needed urgent medical care and investigation. There was a waiting time, but nevertheless nurses Nadia and Freya were nice and simultaneously professional. Dr. Brian Cox then attended on this case and also drafted a medical report to take back to Germany. Overall satisfied with the clinical handling. The facilities, especially the toilets could be cleaner though.

Let’s just say this is the moat dysfunctional unorganised hospital I have ever had to deal with, so today I called the pre-assessment office to check if my surgery is still going ahead to find out that my surgery was cancelled and no rescheduled date has been arranged yet. This is unacceptable and unjust to have people suffering in pain and discomfort due to the incompetence of admission team I don’t see the point of having 11 members of staff working on surgical procedures and admission to not have a clue what is going on in patients file I have been waiting for over a year for this stage 1 procedure and have had 2 pre-assessment protocols done to have my surgery cancelled. Now I have come to the hospital to have this looked into to find out that the surgery was cancelled on the same day the appointment was made (28/02/2023) now I am been told that my MRI that was done in SEPTEMBER 2021 is too old to use for my surgery this is something my GP informed this hospital about and the surgical secretary emailed my GP back to say it is not necessary and now I need a new MRI done because my other one on file is too old. WORST HOSPITAL EVER AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!

The staff are completely disrespectful to patients. One receptionist in ophthalmology even hung up on me mid-sentence because I called near closing time when I (very politely) had urgent questions about my upcoming appointment! This is no way to respect a fellow human being, let alone someone who needs medical care. I would not recommend this location of the NHS to anyone.

Arrived at 7:50am with sever tummy pain of my five years old son. Only had paracetamol around 8:40. Severe tummy pain and high blood pressure found out around 11:40am (shame!!! All this time my son was on high blood pressure without even knowing because it was not checked!!! 14:30 - 14:45 I am asking for results for the blood test and urine - we are still waiting (my son is in severe tummy pain). The doctor is on teaching classes, returning around 4pm to check on my son. After chasing, running and looking to find an answer the doctor (Christina) is finishing their shift… (really…). The consultant (Alex), Christina’s boss slowly having some snack and typing on the PC seemed to be a little alarmed about my son’s high blood pressure and severe tummy pain and after lots of insisting she is finally coming off her chair to come and explain some of her opinions in regards to my son’s severe tummy pain, restless and really bothered about the discomfort!!! I had to apologise of bothering the BOSS (Consultant Alex about doing their job). My wife comes to swap me after a long day of unprofessional experience to have dr “X” having a big go on her (being RUDE) and explaining her how “we” are disturbing their schedule!!! Regardless no full blood results after so many hours!!!! Waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting!!!! Eventually around 7pm full blood results arrived since 8am in the morning and still not a plan and not convinced my son does not respond to paracetamol and nurofen pain relief!!! 12 hours of severe pain - not managed by “professionals” because the doctors stick their tongues out (exactly what I witnessed), nurses cannot manage to have a brake and eventually the consultant taking over from the nurse when the Dr finished their shift. SHAME!!!! SHAME!!! SHAME!!!! Looking forward to hearing from you!!!! Shame!!!

Very proud to have Whittington Hospital in my neighbourhood. Having made numerous visits for treatment, the care, dedication, commitment to high standard of provision is outstanding. Of-course, government cuts and underfunding has had impact but the reduced staff do their so best to ensure patients are well cared for. Personally, very grateful and happy. I recently graced the Whittington Hospital's emergency department with my presence, claiming to have an emergency of epic proportions - a self-inflicted wound! Yes, folks, I somehow managed to hurt myself while being the lazy couch potato that I am. The hospital staff, bless their hearts, didn't skip a beat. They must have seen it all because they took my "self-caring wound" situation seriously. They promptly escorted me to a room with the fanciest band-aids I've ever seen and soothing ointments that could rival a spa treatment. The doctor, with a mix of sympathy and amusement, examined my "emergency." They concluded that I was indeed a wounded warrior of the highest order, but my self-care routine was top-notch. I received a pat on the back (carefully avoiding the wound) and a certificate for "Excellence in DIY Healthcare." So there I was, in the emergency department, getting the VIP treatment for my "self-caring wound." Thanks, Whittington Hospital, for taking my unique emergency seriously and for appreciating my self-sufficiency, even in times of duress! Who knew a hospital visit could be so entertaining?

I cant understand HOW a hospital service can be incredibly poor. We had a phone call with doctor and didn't happen. Nobody called us back to re-schedule the call appointment. After couple of calls we have advised that we have incoming Colonoscopy. We had shocked. How come without any examination doctor could decide this? There is nowhere in the world a doctor can decide what to do without sharing - discussing details and processes with patient. Very very POOR SERVICE!!!. We wait 2 years to see a doctor and unfortunately for many reasons we decided to go to abroad to had the expected surgery. Now who thinks to go to this hospital should think twice!

We have used this hospital for years and have seen many changes. One thing that doesn't change however, is the fact that human beings are individuals, and, not everyone can meet our needs in the way that we desire; and this goes for Dr's and nurses too. Their job is perhaps one of the demanding role in our community: to serve the sick, elderly and dying takes a strong heart and most of the staff I've met at this hospital do an impeccable job and need to be widely appreciated. There is a huge however on my review, and that is our own responsibility to our health and well being. No machine, additive, pill, processed or refined food can replace nature. Your health is your wealth and the greatest thing that you can do for yourself is to eat as much plant based foods as possible (fruit and vegetables), drink living water, sleep well, be grateful for the blessing hidden in each moment, exercise, and bask in the suns rays for half an hour a day.

I'm an outpatient at the dermatology clinic. Nurses are very nice but like many aspects of the NHS, you can see it falling apart. Appointments get cancelled or booked too far in advance, so you run out of your prescribed medicine. Very difficult to get through on the phone, when you do they say there is nothing they can do. Constantly coming off and on again medicine when it's supposed to be a constant course.

Overall my experience at the Whittington Hospital has been a good one. I was seen there through the covid outbreak for me it was a breath of fresh air. The staff were excellent from start to finish. The doctors were at their finest. It just felt like they had more time. Generally speaking I found the staff were polite, caring towards me. a family member of mine went into whittingtons day-care-unit for a Laparoscopy just so they could take a look at what was causing his symptoms but instead the doctor 'Accidently' SEVERED his KIDNEY. yes that's right they cut out his kidney . now he has only one kidney. they have offered absolutely no help to him since , he can barely walk and can't stand for more than a few minutes and is in constant back pain. we don't even know the name of the doctor who did it as they are very secretive about these things. be very careful about trusting them .

The nurses in the colposcopy unit were very kind and reassuring. A smear test is never pain free but it helps when you are in the hands of professionals. I’ve also never found that you have to wait too long for an appointment (if you’re booked in advance) compared with other hospitals. Thank you for the work you do despite how hard it is, you are the reason we still have an NHS

Hello, today I went to my second surgery appointment regarding my foot. My first appointment was on February 19, at 7 am. The officer who came to the hall at that time identified the people waiting. Of course, I had my name too. I continued to wait, and the officer from each department took away those who had appointments for their own department. When I was alone there, I asked the officer there. When he took the letter in my hand and checked it, they said, sir, your appointment has been cancelled. That is, after waiting for 3 hours, they told me it was cancelled. What kind of work is this? Couldn't this have been reported before? I received a letter 2 days later, my next appointment is March 4th at 11 am. We went to the hospital with my friend at 10 o'clock on March 4th. This time they let me in at 11.15. They gave me surgical gowns and I wore them. I am waiting. After watching 2 movies, the nurse brought me 7 pills and I swallowed them all. Meanwhile, doctors or nurses came and checked 3 times. I went crazy when the nurse came to my room at exactly 17.15 and said, "Sir, we are canceling your appointment." How does this work? This cannot happen even in third world countries. I canceled a week's worth of work from my workplace for both appointments. my family and friends called all day long. and the funniest thing is how will I explain this to my family, work and friends. In conclusion, I want to say this, this hospital is the worst hospital in the world you can see. Disgrace for its employees, doctors and management. Please stay away from this hospital unless you have to.

I was referred for an endoscopy and was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional treatment and patient care I received from start to finish. From the moment I walked in, the reception staff were friendly and helpful, putting me at ease. The nurses were attentive and reassuring throughout the procedure, and the doctors were knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything to me. Overall, I had an excellent experience and would highly recommend this facility for anyone in need of similar medical procedures.

Been to A&E twice this month and the staff are absolutely helpful and caring for my newborn for jaundice and 5 years old son with high fever. They did thorough checkup despite how busy they were. They even care about my feeling as a mom. Amazing team. highly recommend.

My son had an appointment with a consultant from Mr Johnatan Joseph's team (the ENT department) over a month ago. They told us that a prescription would be sent to our GP practice. I was told by our GP practice 3 times that there was no prescription for my son. Today I called the Whittington hospital ENT department and they told me they will send the prescription today. Very unprofessional. Update: After over 2 months there is still no prescription amd no communication. I had to call ENT again. The lady on the phone told me that a letter will be sent to our GP, but no luck so far. This is not normal healthcare service.

The nursing care in the Day Treatment centre is horrific, zero care following a serious operation. I was told ‘get up’ & dragged to toilet physically 5 times until I felt faint. This is so they can discharge you ASAP. If you have any issues following an operation they don’t care, & will do anything so they don’t have to keep you in. Disgusted!

I didn't wait long for my appointment, but unfortunately most of the reception staff are pretty rude, and the doctor and nurses treated me like they couldn't wait to get this over with. No time to ask questions or assess the situation. Really depressing experience.

I had an MRI at Whittington yesterday, booked by Moorfields. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, I spoke to several reception desks and they were all lovely. The radiologist I had, James, could not have been nicer and did absolutely everything possible to make me comfortable as I was very anxious to have the scan. This included allowing me to wear an eye mask, extra ear plugs, and hold a soft toy in the machine (I brought these from home, they are not supplied). He explained the whole process and I needed to have some dye injected so he inserted a cannula - I have awful, tricky veins that noone has ever managed to get on the first try with a normal needle, and somehow James managed it plus with little to no pain! He also put a pillow under my knees so I would be comfortable, and you are given a panic button if you need to get out at any point. You also have headphones added on top and a kind of helmet on if they're scanning your head. My scan was around 45 minutes long, and about 2/3 of the way through they pulled me out to inject the dye. Again, James narrated everything they were doing (I kept the mask on so I couldn't see anything) and told me I was doing really well. Having been incredibly anxious, James and the staff at Whittington made my experience very pleasant and I cannot praise them highly enough.

You can fully trust the friendly Day Treatment Centre staff. They are easily available and accessible. Their surgical theatre teams are confidence inspiring and full of reassurances. They will take care of you very well and you can blindly trust their expertise. Both pre and post operative patient debriefing are reassuring and of a very high professional standard. They gel as a team very well and make you feel at ease. You are definitely in good hands. Thank you team for looking after me. Its the third day after the procedure and I am pain free and feeling good. You guys deserve a 5*

Surprisingly good. UCLH would always be my first choice but was referred here for an ultrasound and the imaging department was impressive. Looked clean and hardly any other people about, so was great!

My when i got shot and had no where else to turn to they saved my life and did it with a first class service, the surgeons were very skillfull and down to earth, the doctor a chap named James was great at his job and had great people skills. Unfortunately as an inpatient it was bad, the staff disregarded me the whole time because of my age, the staff were also over worked and the ward had broken equipment. Unfortunately i have to give it 3 stars because my recent trip here ended badly, i was taken in by ambulance and kicked out even though my mobility was bad I later succumbed to my stab wounds collapsed and had a seizure i was then picked up by a police officer and the Air Ambulance who were great chaps. I also wanted to say a special thank you to the nurse in the A &E she helped me calm down and reminded me that i was there to get paperwork to help me get back on active duty.

10 days ago, I underwent a major surgery. I was terrified and I didn’t know how I would have faced that situation. Luckily, I was welcomed by very kind, professional and friendly doctors and nurses who reassured me and made me feel at home. Everyone looked after me wonderfully. The hospital was clean and quiet, and I felt like I was in a 5 stars hotel. The surgery went well, and I’m now recovering at home. I will never thank enough all those blessed people who helped me at such a crucial time.

Came into A&E this morning - Spent all day there as a patient with mental health difficulties for pain and other symptoms, was taken seriously and the nurses, doctors. phlembotomists, and sonographers treated me with so much dignity and respect I cried. Thank you for giving me a diagnosis that explains my pain and taking so much time to be throughout

I would like to thank Alex the Acupuncturist at The Whittington. He is a highly skilled professional, with empathy of my condition. He has been a massive support during a difficult time and the acupuncture has supported the medical treatment that I am receiving. I cannot recommend Alex and acupuncture at the Whittington enough. Thank you so much.

I was looked after by the best and kindest nurses whilst my time at A&E and ambulatory care. Sure, it takes a long time to be discharged, but I was seen almost right away and I felt reassured throughout my stay here. Very thankful for the staff. They were patient with me as they understood that I have phobia of needles. I wish all the urgent care centres would be as welcoming as Whittington.

Would like to thank midwifery team who was with me at my childbirth. They where amazing, acting really quickly as my baby was on the way already outside hospital. For the luck one of the midwife’s heard people screaming on the door to open the door, as there where no receptionist in labor ward, otherwise baby could be born in the corridor of the entrance. Thanks as well to Birth Center where we where after wards as that’s where I intended to give the birth. You do amazing job, I had a great care. Shame for the hospital not to have receptionist in the place where it should be, as you care for the new life’s coming, it’s not the team who needs to be responsible for opening the door at the time when babies are born!

Unfortunately I ended up there today and spent around 7 hours. Tests, X-rays, scans. Had a lot of time to observe also. Honestly can say that the service I received/ the hospital management and staff should be really proud of. Everyone working hard and very polite, listening and you could see many smiles! I cannot fault doctors, nurses, X-ray/scan staff and all those hard working people pushing out beds around the corridors. I been in this hospital before for operation. Both times received top care and been really looked after. Thank you!! You are our heroes!!

Everyone in the hospital is super nice and professional especially endoscopy unit. All doctors were helpful and invested in diagnosis. I have been coming to the hospital for couple of months. A&E was a long wait but all other departments were running very smoothly.

Excellent service today at the Breast Clinic and Imaging department at levels 4 and 3 this morning. I got there early and had a consultation in less than 10 mins, had my scans within the next 15 mins, got the results and left within 40 mins after arrival - isn’t this excellent? Everyone from the front office staff, the nurses, the practitioners and the Doctor were ace. Well done all 🙂

Can't fault the dr's and nurses or the cleanliness of this hosp. My family members have been admitted various times over the years and I can't praise this hospital enough. The staff took the most amazing care of my auntie and grandma when they were inpatients. The dr's & nurses were so compassionate and warm and even helped put everything in place for my auntie to be admitted to a nursing home for end of life care. Thank you Whittington

I visited the hospital with my wife. It was good. The thing which made me upset is one of the lady who works on the pharmacy. She is very rude to the people. She behaves like old fashioned head teacher! I collected the medicine from a different girl who was very nice to me and with others.

My son had a cast removed from his hand today. It was awful! The hand was cut from all sides from where the cast was removed! My son screamed, cried and said that it hurts, but the doctor continued and said "everything is fine"! My heart was breaking ... It's terrible!!! And at the end of the conversation, the doctor said to come to the hospital and he will examine the wounds to see if everything is okay and gave a plaster to go home!!! I'm shocked!!!!

We were about 20 people since 22:00 pm, still now 6:00 am there are remaining the same ten in a row, the doctors have not seen anyone since 3:00 am and to all the patients that are asking about their turns, the receptionists response “it just is gonna takes a few hours”…. From when does someone must wait in an EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT 10+ hours ??! Is this a permanent situation over here? I am asking is that legal..?

Staff are friendly and the hospital is easy to move around in. With lots of directions. **** Don't waste your time checking in on the digital screen. **** they system does not update****** and you will end up waiting long time. Easier to speak to the staff and check in at reception. Level 4 issue

I just had the most amazing female team Joy, Isabella and one more lady gave the best possible colonoscopy. They gave me sedative as I asked for and they ensured me everything is going to be okay. In the recovery room the nurses provided sandwich and hot chocolate. Seriously I have been in many hospitals but Whittington hospital just exceeded all my expectations. They were angels, God bless you all. No more fear, no more tears of the procedure of colonoscopy.

Re Day Treatment Centre Thanks everyone. Felt a bag of nerves today and everyone, from the receptionist on arrival, through nurses, most amusing anaesthetist & porter who stopped to wish me all the best, were first class. In the nicest way, I hope we never see each other again. Once again an excellent experience at the Whittington.

Patronizing and condensing Doctors speaking down at you and dismissing your concerns when you raise some concerns or an opinion. It's sad that in 2022 Doctors are speading their time having a chit chat with a work colleague than tending to a patient. Won't be coming here again-will go private next time!! however the nurses are lovely.

Absolutely horrible experience , had a really bad injury and was made to stand for 6 hours because there where no seats and they wouldn’t supply a chair. Each time I went to the reception, I was met by horrible reception who’s only response was that the weighting times increased. People that came after me were seen before me even though their injuries were less serious and this wasn’t just for me but for others that came around the same time as me. Absolutely terrible, for those going here for A&E, please go to north Middlesex hospital instead. At least they will see you before 3 hours.

Clinic 4-Sunday appointment. Couldn't have asked for better care. From the moment we walked into the corridor we were treated politely and professionally. We were listened to and treated with care. They were running a fair bit behind time but they were doing their best. From reception, cleaning staff, chaperones and doctors we felt welcome and most of all in good hands just as we always have done at the Whittington.
