5/5 London Pub M. 8 months ago on Google
🚇 Lambeth
North
🍺 £5.90
Amstel
❤️
A
contemporary
Waterloo
boozer.
.
The
Camel
&
Artichoke
is
situated
mid
terrace
on
Lower
Marsh
around
the
back
of
Waterloo
station.
The
nearest
Tube
is
Lambeth
North,
but
I
would
recommend
to
travel
to
Waterloo
Station
and
walk
through
atmospheric
Leake
Street
tunnel
to
see
some
of
London’s
finest
graffiti.
.
This
pub
was
built
in
1864
and
started
life
as
The
Artichoke.
The
Camel
was
added
to
the
pubs
name
in
2007
but
for
what
reason
I
don’t
know.
.
Although
the
pubs
facade
is
beautifully
Victorian
the
interior
is
modern
with
a
slight
industrial
feel.
The
pub
has
a
wood
floor
throughout,
grey
panelled
and
wallpapered
walls
and
the
servery
is
on
the
left
hand
side.
There
are
a
few
screens
dotted
around
the
walls
which
show
live
sport
on
match
days.
At
the
rear
of
the
pub
is
a
heated
beer
garden
with
large
circular
benches.
.
The
beer
line
up
was
all
keg
with
a
few
craft
options
and
Guinness.
I
ordered
an
Amstel,
my
pint
was
great
and
cost
under
six
quid.
This
pub
offers
loads
of
drinks
promos
including
50p
off
pints
on
a
Wednesday,
hump
day
anyone?
.
The
atmosphere
was
quiet
on
this
Saturday
afternoon
with
only
myself
and
a
few
others
in
attendance.
The
soundtrack
was
R&B
and
the
kings
coronation
was
on
mute
on
the
TV.
I
was
served
by
a
nice
member
of
staff,
even
though
is
was
quiet
she
was
all
smiles.
.
I
need
to
return
the
@camelandartichoke
on
another
day
as
I
feel
this
place
comes
to
life
in
the
evenings.
If
anyone
on
here
has
visited
it
would
be
great
to
hear
about
it.
