We had a nice room. I admit it was not the cleanest, bit dusty and a little dated (thus minus one star) but when you combine with the location and the price, it is perfectly adequate. It was very quiet, which is very much appreciated in London I have seen a lot worse for more money as well as a lot better for much much more money. Overall we would stay there again it is very handy for a lot of places. We walked everywhere.

I stayed here for 8 days as a solo traveler. Location is a king here! 1 min from the tube and from a big supermarket. Another Supermarket right next to the hotel and 10-12 min walk to Soho/Covent Garden. I read the reviews before I booked and was quite worried. Eventually is was really good. I think it's really about the expectations. There is no daily cleaning but I'm OK with it. Rooms are not luxurious, but very spacious to Central London, with a nice full kitchen that had all I needed (maybe it was nice to have salt and pepper as well). I had some small requests from maintenance and they came to my room in 10-20 min and fixed it. The only thing that bothered me was a fridge in the room that had some noise at night and there was nothing to do about it but shut it off. The employees were very nice! There is a washing room in some cost and a free gym which was nice. I really think that if you are not looking for something fancy, but a good size room in a very good location, it will be a nice choice. I enjoyed it.

The only good thing about this place is it's convenient location next to subway buses mcdonalds and a grocery store. The rooms are dated, the checking process is tedious with long lines. There is no daily cleaning. They change sheets and towels only once per week and require you pay extra if more frequently. The breakfast is £12 and of questionable quality. Wifi is slow. And all this for relatively high room rate. There are definitely better options available for the same price range providing better value. I will not stay again.

Fairly average property, situated a good 10 - 15 minutes walk away from Covent Garden. I would say this is more 3 than 4*. As it is an aparthotel, there is no bar or daily housekeeping, instead just a tiny kitchenette where you could potentially cook a small meal. That said, certainly in my room, you would be eating your food at a desk. I felt everywhere was fairly tired, particularly in the bathroom. My room had views directly into an adjacent office building, and the rooms at the front would look onto a busy road. Other than when checking in / out, the staff didn't ever seem to smile or acknowledge your presence with a simple 'hello'.. On a more positive note, I slept OK and felt the price reflected the quality of the hotel (being quite reasonable, compared to similar properties). There was a small gym which you wouldn't have got in a similarly priced Premier Inn. Oxford Street is around a 15-minute walk away, and there are plenty of bars / pubs / restaurants in the near vicinity.. Holborn is fairly central with OK tube options, so navigating central London from here would be easy.

On the plus side it's in a decent location, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the rooms are clean. However the place is pretty dated. The rooms are bland, they even have painted anaglypta on the wall (ask your grandparents). It's noisy, from other rooms and a regular underground rumble. The room door gives no noise protection from the groups of teenage kids coming and going, enjoying their holiday, all through the night. So if you're traveling on business and need a half decent night's sleep for the next day, I recommend giving this hotel a miss.

I stayed here for a month from Sept to Oct, 2022. It's a highly over priced place. Initially, they said breakfast was not included although I had booked it. Then after around 5 days, they said it's there. The elderly lady at breakfast would rush with the register to make the breakfast entry, and you would have to write yourself when you have plate in your hand and trying to take something, she would insist that you 1st write by physically interrupting you, not even allow you to sit. The fridge didn't work at all. I lost a lot of food. Once I had gone to ask what to do about garbage and the black guy at the reception curtly said do it yourself, we don't do that. After that, I was hesitant to ask anything at the reception. I couldn't wait to leave the place but was still looking for a house. After some days, they suddenly blocked my card. One day as I was entering the place, my card didn't work. I asked at the reception what happened and they very rudely said your breakfast has not been paid. If I didn't pay, I won't be allowed in. I requested that I talk to my booking agency and they replied, pay by tomorrow else we will block. The payment was made promptly. Mind you, the very hefty room fee was already paid. They raised a proforma invoice and charged for all days, even when I didn't eat and future dates. I went to the reception multiple times to ensure they don't again block my access as their treatment gave me a lot of anxiety. I still tolerated the place but the worst was the rude staff, except a specs wearing girl (South Asian / Indian looking) who was always nice. They sent me a small card and some toffee after the blocked card incident. I actually did't want to write the review. But sometime back, I went to ask if they had found a charger I might have left behind, my bad luck the most rude staff was there and as expected he said no, without checking. This was 2nd Nov around 8:45 pm. Overall terrible experience.

Good location and polite staff, also its nice to have access to basic kitchen and utensils, especially for a family. However, hotel is in need of major renovation. In our 4 days stay we had issues with both the toilet and air conditioning (barely cooling on a mild day) , which were promptly addressed by front desk . Double bed was too small and uncomfortable, room was very dark and no room service offered. You even have to take out your own trash, which I've never seen in my 50 years of traveling!

Not a bad place but rooms are overdue for a refresh. Furniture have signs of age as shown in the picture. Kitchenette is great to have, no doubt. Staff not overly friendly. Location is very good. Breakfast not the greatest and there are much better choices in the vicinity. Overall, I would not stay there again

!!! Be careful of this hotel’s booking. Never do the booking directly on their website. It will be redirected to another website and charge you without you providing the bank OPT code and you will be charged double. This hotel’s management is horrible too. The booking is definitely the fraud transaction and the customer service will just replied saying they cannot do anything on a fraud transaction. Hopefully there is no other victims

The location was brilliant, and staff were friendly enough. The beds were however old, both our beds were hollowed. They were likely inhabited by very very heavy individuals, long term, and the bed springs were destroyed during their stay. Something not to be recommended. As the hotel was full, we had no other option. Terrible bed. Another suggestion is to improve ventilation. On the bright side, the studio kitchen and also bathroom were great. Decor just a touch old.

I’m compelled to submit this poor rating after sweating through a 3rd night at 28C as recorded on the thermostat, despite setting the A/C at 21C. I have 5 more nights to go here. We made a complaint after the first night. The technician who came to our room told us the aircon is automatically turned off from 11pm till the morning and nothing could be done. Is this consistent practise among 4 star hotels?! That turned out NOT to be true. Rather, within 24 hours, it switches rather randomly between an A/C, a heater and turning off altogether, all on its own accord, following a phantom program. Most notably and consistently, it’s a heater from the early morning. FYI London temps are currently in the high teens & low twenties. After the 2nd night, we requested a change of room, only to be told, there are no rooms available, despite, clearly, multiple guests are checking in and out. It deserves less than 1 star honestly as we paid a premium to stay here. Update: Finally an attentive receptionist who listened to our woes! Thank you Leila 🌸 we have now moved into one of those rooms that have earned good reviews from others!

It baffles me why this place has such a high rating. Yes, the location is quite convenient but that’s the only good thing I can say about this hotel. Some of the hotel staff are rather rude and unprofessional both in person and on the phone. The status of housekeeping is disastrous (stains in the bathroom even after cleaning), the towels they provide are so cheap that they shed every time you use them and if anyone staying in adjacent rooms cooks in the kitchen of their room, you will be able to smell everything as if you were cooking the food yourself. For the price they charge, they really should do better on all accounts. I would not recommend.

The location is excellent, closed to tube station, restaurants and attractions. But the property is not in a good shape and it is poorly managed, resulted unpleasant stay. It was surprising that the property management did not pre-checked air condition, blown-out bulb, poor light, ripped sheer curtains with hole in it, dirty carpet and sofa. So it was bad stay with no ac for two days and full of excuses from staff with name dropping training.

Convenient location. Short distance to Holborn Station and Covent Garden and British Museum. In addition to rooms, there are family sized 'apartments' which are equipped with a small kitchen, and sofa bed. Staff service is good, helpful and professional. Good value.

Great location, spacious room, helpful staff We stayed as a couple for 3 nights while visiting London at the beginning of August. We booked a deluxe studio and requested a quiet room. On arrival we had been allocated a room on the front of the hotel overlooking High Holborn, not so quiet. The staff reallocated us with no question to a room on the rear of the hotel, on a high floor at the end of the corridor away from the elevators. No view, but it was ideal for us. The room was quiet, spacious and clean, and everything worked fine. The small kitchen corner was fully equipped, clean and tidy, but we didn't really make use of it. The big plus is the central location, 50m from Holborn tube station and walking distance from many of the major tourist spots...British Museum, Covent Gdn, West end etc Lots of pubs and restaurants close by, cafes also nearby for breakfast if you don't want to take it in the hotel. Waitrose supermarket directly opposite the hotel if you need provisions. All in all, a great stay from our perspective. Sorry to hear of some negative experiences from other guests, but we didn't have a problem. Will definitely consider for future stays in London.

Only the location is excellent! The hotel is close to a tube station and central hubs. The rooms are quite large but unfortunately the toilets and shower were not clean and had rust, there is no room service and the rooms are not cleaned, towels and toilet paper have to be taken by yourself and the garbage has to be thrown away by yourself! Very disappointing for an apartment hotel... I will say that they took care of my problems and did not ignore them, except for the air conditioner that did not work but I had already given up on complaining....

Awful experience. Probably one of the worst accommodation I have stayed. Checked in early evening. Found that there is no hot water. Called concierge only to be simply told that there is nothing they can do but to wait until 9 PM. Maintenance staff arrived in the morning and told is that the water needs to be turned on running for at least 10-15min until the water gets hot for this room as it has not been used in a while?!? I am sorry but hot water is a basic necessity for any hospitality industry and is an emergency. Simply telling to wait until the next day morning without even coming up to the room to check?! And to have to wait 10-15 min with water running for hot water to come on? In London?? Management Team seems to be very serious all the time on renovation when your in the entrance hall/seating area downstairs. I don’t know if they realise this but renovation in this kind of service is the least of their problem. Would scoff at this place to call itself a hotel/ aparthotel even before considering a single star is laughable. Not even a cheap place at £300 a night. Would get much more from places rated much less. Book at your own discretion.

Can't give the room 5 stars because the shower holder was broken, so using it was pretty awkward, and the breakfast selection wasn't great, especially for the price. Other than that, it's got a good location, the room had good facilities, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Experience was wonderful!! 11/10! Staff were very friendly when checking in. I asked if the staff could set up some balloons and banner in the room for my girlfriends birthday, they did all that and wrote a lovely card addressed to her which made London incredible :) Thank you so much to all the staff at this hotel! Rooms were clean and comfy, no complaints! Would recommend!

Great location and good size rooms. Very close to Holborn underground station and a short walk from Covent Garden, St Paul’s, West End, etc great selection of bars and restaurants near by . The staff at the hotel were great and very helpful.. perhaps more attention could be paid to the room’s upkeep and cleanliness… overall taking into consideration the price and location it is definitely recommended

Lovely location, helpful staff but can improve slightly on the room amenities. Having called it a 4-star hotel, I was expecting a much more spacious and a comfortable bed, but it didn't meet my expectations. The kitchenette is great to have, there's plenty of shops to shop off of. The breakfast though is bad. Stale hash-browns and bland beans, skipped the breakfast entirely for my second day there, can definitely improve on that! WiFi wasn't working for our second day in the hotel, pleasant stay otherwise. 7/10.

I stayed in room 513 on an overnight work trip and was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the stay. The apartment room felt clean, tidy, well equipped and spacious and the bed was perfect… not too soft or too hard. I got a very good nights sleep and woke up feeling refreshed as the room not only had a comfy bed but the temperature was perfect too and it was nice and quite was no noise from other guests to be heard and I also felt safe as the team down on the ground floor were welcoming, friendly and helpful and clearly vigilant of who was coming into the hotel. You also cannot gain access to the lift or stairs up to the rooms unless you have a room key.

Excellent location in central London. A few steps to Holborn tube station make it easy to get around anywhere. Lots of bus stops too, very convenient location to get around the whole city. The room was nice, but the interior was outdated, and some things (such as the shower head) did not work. I would stay again simply for the location.

We had a lovely stay, we arrived super early so went to see if there is any way we could get in earlier, unfortunately not, but they did put our luggage away for us so we could explore London bag free. Staff where friendly and smiley faces made you feel very welcome. Room was lovely, especially with the addition of a kitchenette. Room comfortable, lovely air conditioning and lovely and clean. Hotel was a handy 2 min walk to and from the tube and had lots of food (McDonald’s, Burger King, pretz, restaurants within a min walk) (super market Sainburys 2 mins away). Only thing was lack of tea making bits. Only enough for one cup of tea each.. although did get a tasty biscuit

Clean, friendly staff. They were very helpful with navigation around london. Minus laundry was a bit expensive and no trash cans available outside. Over all, I would stay again when I have the opportunity. Very convenient to the tube and grocery. My daughter and I had a wonderful trip!

Booked a twin. Arrived to be told they oversold abd they only had 1 bed and a fold out bed. At £313 a night, I declined their offer. Total waste of time. Luckily we found a nicer cheaper hotel nearby. I'd highly recommend The Resident, just a 10 minute walk away in Covent Garden

Location - quite good for tourism, straddling Cov Garden & city of London and 4 stops from Westminster. Room - small, bathroom was dated. View was into a courtyard of an adjacent building. Staff - Laila and Marco at the front were helpful, both the ladies at the breakfast were very courteous. Negatives - one of the front desk staff was ill informed, overcharged us for breakfast of our 5 year old. Also insisted that I clear my breakfast dues midway through the stay before we would charge the laundry tokens to our room (mind you we had already paid for the room and the extra beds). Also the bathroom was a bit too dated. The bedroom had a kitchenette which was very useful. The breakfast, consisting of boiled eggs, danishes, muesli, juices and breads, for £12 was quite expensive; when asked if they had cooked eggs I was told that would be served only from the next week.

I will start with something positive: the hotel is very well located; steps away from drugstore, grocery store, many cafes and restaurants, and subway station (Holborn). PROS: free (good) coffee (flat white, cappuccino, americano, tea, etc.) — pretty comfortable bed — fairly equipped kitchen to cook your own stuff — laundry room available (£5 to wash and £4 to dry)— location, as I mentioned before. CONS: there is only room service once a week (2 would have been nice) — staff is not super friendly/helpful/nice — breakfast (questionable buffet) costs £12... grab your free coffee, cross the street and buy yourself a viennoiserie at Fabrique or go to Prêt or even McDonald's! — judging by the general look of our room, the rooms would need a little update: holes in the walls, broken furniture, mildew in the bathroom, etc. — the water pressure is horrible when you take a shower — there were missing towels when we first arrived (had no bath mat, no face cloths and no hand towels). Note that there is no electrical outlet in the bathroom (not super practical!). On the other hand, the hair dryer provided by the hotel works really well. We also had a couple of issues such as: 1) the safe stopped working after a couple of days 2) the tissues weren't refilled when the maid came 3) we asked for face cloths and never got them 4) the maid threw away our hand soap without replacing it (we had to buy some...!). But the main issue was the fridge. I guess we were just unlucky, but the fridge had a VERY bad smell (a mix of mildew and old cheese). We even lost many items of food (milk, fruits, soup and prepared meals) because they tasted bad or went bad. Clearly something was wrong with that fridge! We mentionned it to the staff, but there was absolutely NO EMPATHY on their end and no offer to replace our food items whatsoever. This to me is very disappointing since we lost I would say at least £25 of food. Overall, mainly because of the location, we can say our stay was okay. But if you are the type of person who likes to spend time in their hotel room when on vacation, maybe this is not the place for you. Also, for the price, the rooms certainly need some major updates or adjustments.

Good location, staff ok for basic stuff. Rooms need a bit of work - not cleaned properly, maintenance needed - door lock loose - had to tighten the screws myself, black spots in the toilet. Good coffee just outside.

I'm only midway my stay here - and so many things could definitely be improved and this entire stay has been somewhat disappointing so far. 1. There has been water leaking from an AC on my corridor for over a week now - apparently its due to old building 2. Cleaning service is incomplete with no replenishment of toiletries (note: this has been resolved) 3. hot water pump broke in the entire building and now we have had no hot water in the toilets for over 2 days - which was fixed on the next business day 4. front reception seems overwhelmed at times. for a 3/4 star hotel, it seems more like 2 stars or a student dorm, i have experienced better places for cheaper prices and even from hostels too. At this price it should/could do better too. the only benefit is the location - 2 stops to Kings Cross and 15 minutes to Regent st - hence 1 extra star for that. (afternote: i raised some of my issues with the front reception and they have looked into it)
