This little park is called Durand’s Wharf because in 1804 it was the finishing line for a rowing race between team of watermen from Gravesend in which Captain Durand played a leading role. It was then a wharf used by mast and block makers. From 1849 It was a timber wharf. The wharf closed in the 1970s and the site was cleared to become a small park. In the park you can see a ventilation shaft from the Jubilee line.

Always enjoy a walk through Durant's Wharf. Not only is the park well maintained, however, I like how small bits of history is still visible. And more importantly, the view is beautiful. Definitely worth a visit.

This place is so relaxing it's incredible, hidden in the depths of London next to the Thames this place is 100% ideal for a date or just a place to have a deep convo. I honestly love this place and I think anyone who wants to go to London should defo check out this place and the park next to it in my other review!

A nice area to walk through. Peaceful, bits of history here and there, and some nice views of the river. Not something to go out of your way to visit, but good for stretching your legs with some brisk river air if you're in the area. The outdoor gym is something I've never seen before, and was fun to mess around with. It's lower quality is off-set by the novelty of it being public, open-air gym equipment, which is really something that should catch on and spread further out.

The animals looked well cared for and relaxed. Children although couldn't be amongst the animals, showed great joy at just seeing them.. lovely place to visit, grab a coffee, and enjoy a snack

It is such an amazingly quiet and peaceful area. I absolutely adore talking walks along there. Sometimes I even stop to admire the breathtaking view of Canary Wharf. I always feel so safe and sound πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–
