Such a fantastic spot and one which is definitely worth a visit, its free too! The views are incredible from the top and it's such a spacious rooftop. When I visited there was no time limit, I sat and watched the sunset which was beautiful. There were lots of beautiful blooms (daffodils and other plants) up there too. It is a must if in London. There is a security check before hand and then it's off up in the lift, simple and easy.

Fantastic spot for a sunset 🌇 .. beautiful views all around! There is no fee and there is no need to prebook. The staff was helpful and managed the visitors well. Great spot for photos. One of the hidden gems in the City. I have gone there several times for lunch and a walk. Highly recommended! Also don't forget to look up while in the queue at the ground floor.. they have changing digital art on the ceiling

My absolute favourite place in London for a good view. It’s a free terrace garden that opens from 10am. It has beautiful 360 degree views, and is even prettier on a sunny day. Beware, the place attracts a lot of people as the entry is free. I suggest to reach there at the opening time in a weekday. That will be the best to get some nice clicks without people in your background. You can see the sky garden, tower bridge, gherkin, St. Paul’s and many other important buildings that contributes to the London’s skyline. Beautiful beautiful place with the unique garden and flowers. The place is also close to Bank and monument station so very easy to get there.

Incredible views of the city. Located in Fen church street and on a walking distance from Aldgate tube station, The Garden at 120 is definitely a must visit spot for everyone. You don't even have to book tickets to go up. There is a small queue at the lifts but you can easily get through that within 5-8 minutes. The views on the top are amazing with The Shard, Tower of London, Tower of Bridge giving amazing views.

Great location, very nice views of all the buildings in London. Cool in the summer when there are lots of plants. The only downside is it's a bit of a wait in the lift queue. But it's a great free place. Where you can take beautiful photos or just relax.

Love love this place. Get a totally different perspective of London views. You can see major landmarks from here. It’s a free terrace garden which is open to the public. You go up in a lift to 15th floor and see buildings all around. Good to go when it’s sunset. I went on a Saturday and had to queue for around 10/15 minutes which isn’t bad. I’d recommend maybe going on a week day to avoid crowds. But it’s free and well worth a trip on your itinerary. I’ll be going back again.

Our visit to this place was truly delightful. We arrived on a Saturday morning and patiently waited about 20 minutes for the elevator to take us up. Once on the roof, we were pleasantly surprised to find that it wasn't crowded at all, with only around 20-30 people up there. The atmosphere was serene, and the garden was both beautiful and immaculately maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful, adding to the overall positive experience. It's completely free of charge! I highly recommend this place to anyone.

Thought this was brilliant. Admittedly it was a clear day, but the fact you can walk round the complete edge of the garden and see the London sky line so clearly was amazing. Beautiful well tended gardens. On the floor below is a takeaway coffee shop, so buy your drink, take it up one floor and enjoy. This wonderful experience is completely free.

Fantastic views from here of the skyline. There was no queue when I went there; security took less than 1 min and the staff was really friendly. The best part of it is that it’s free! 🌆

This is one of the most impressive views of London. It may not be the highest viewpoint, but the actual location of the building makes up for it. It's bang right in the middle of the city which means 360 degree views of London and the neighbouring skyscrapers. It's spacious and even has its own water feature. Best of all, it's free to visit. I recommend visiting at sunset when you get to see London during day and night. There will also a restaurant opening very soon this year (2019). I can't recommend Garden at 120 in Fenchurch Street. If you are on a budget and love a good view, then you have to visit this place.

It's hard not to give 5 stars. Great to see a viewing deck without the need for tickets. It's first come, first served but wasn't too busy on a weekday afternoon in summer. The usual bag checks on arrival but great views over London.

It is not a well-known thing that there is this beautiful garden on the 15th floor on this building, but it is getting very popular quickly. It is free to visit and really worth it cos the view is just amazing. There is a security check before going up with a lift. 1 floor down from there there is a restaurant and bar,and toilet as well. Highly recommended.

It's beautiful place. Not overcrowded with plenty of benches to sit down and enjoy the view. It's free, it's looked after well. Overlooking London. Do have restaurant too. Security at the entrance and throughout the floors too. So safe and sounds.

Now here's something to do for FREE! If you're planning a trip to London on a budget, we'll you can't do much better than to incorporate a visit to The Garden at 120 Fenchurch Street. Whilst most of London's venues charge a hefty sum for their views, this one is surprisingly free. Accessed through a passage adjoining the NatWest bank in Fenchurch Street, a stone's throw from the station of the same name, you'll have to pass through airport style security to be admitted to the roof garden. Once there, you'll be treated to stunning panoramic views of our city. Safely is assured by a number of highly approachable security staff. There is a small deli on the floor below serving coffee and pastries and a pricy restaurant, which I would only really consider for a treat or celebration. The toilets were individual and spotlessly clean and so ideal if you have young children. I only hope that the weather is as good for you as it was on my visit so that you can truly appreciate London's awesome architecture. I hope that my photos and videos provide a taste of what you can expect. Enjoy!

Best place to visit for free without reservations. Straight up to the top floor via lift. There is a bar just below the garden but I didn't go in. The garden on the roof top has amazing views right across London. You can see for miles. There's a little snack bar just as you go up the steps of you want lite bite. Fully accessible for wheelchairs. This has to be a stop if your in London

Free entry and not too busy. Lovely views over London from an open air rooftop. Nice place to sit and relax on a sunny day. Only gave it 4 stars as I would have liked to sit with a coffee but no facilities are available on the roof.

See the city skyline from this roof top garden on top of a sky scraper (a smallish sky scraper). It's completely free to access, but you might have to queue at ground level for 10min to go through the security checks (airport scanners) before heading up in the dedicated lift to the top. Well worth a visit to soak in the views, and sit and have a sandwich by the pond/water feature.

Nice roof garden with some great views. If you're wanting to eat grab something to take up with you as no facilities. There is a cart selling coffee, tea's & soft drinks.

15th floor free rooftop garden where you can enjoy a 360-degree view of the city skyline, making it the perfect spot for unforgettable photos and memories. Summer visit is lot better than winter. Place have nice bar and cafe as well as clean toilet facilities. Be prepared to go through a security check before getting on the lift where it took me around 45 minutes (summer/school holiday). Highly recommended.

Nice roof terrace garden with a good view of London. It’s free to enter and usually no queue if you go weekday off-peak. It’s on the 15th floor so kinda half way as tall as some of the buildings but still there’s a clear view across towards Canary Wharf and the east end of London. Expect delays during peak times as everyone has to go through airport style security.

Lovely spot to sit down and enjoy the views. Good all round 360 views. And plus side you don't feel the wind due the edge glass guards. Nice work lunch spot.

Very well done. The Garden itself is okay, but the views are absolutely fantastic. Entrance is easy to find a signposted. All facilities are well kept. Went here on a Sunday morning and was very pleasant, not so crowded maybe 20-30 people on the viewing platform. Security at the bottom before you go up the elevator is very straightforward, no metals and electronics allowed through the metal detector. All will be scanned in an X-ray machine. Staff will direct you what to do. All of which takes a couple minutes. You can see pretty much everything you’d like to see from here. The Shard, The Gherkin, The Walkie Talkie, The Boomerang, St Pauls Cathedral, Tower Bridge, The Tower of London, Canary Wharf and HMS Belfast. Very good place to take a date and the best thing is that is is free and no booking required.

This garden was beautiful! It had an.awesome view of London. There were so many plants too. It was the only skyscraper with a garden on top that let kids in. They work on until 10 pm so don't come late. The view on is beautiful and they also have a bar.

Something free in central London, and it’s not ordinary. I went there with my family and we had a good time. It was not very crowded, you will have a lot of space to enjoy the views and take photos. There is a security check before you take a lift to the rooftop. The views of central London are amazing, you will see all the main attractions such as Tower London, Shard, London Eye, St. Pauls, Canary Warf, and other skyscrapers. The rooftop is protected by a glass wall, safe for kids but glass generates reflection on a cloudy day, which is not so good for professional cityscape photography.

Really awesome spot, where skygarden's and gherkin's beauty can be observed. Walk around or sit on one of the benches lost in the amazing panoramic view. Note it's only open during weekdays. One of my favourite London rooftops for a view.

Great place. Great views. Much better in my opinion than the ones from the Sky Garden. Free entry. It was very empty on a Friday at 12. Would definitely recommend.

Absolutely fantastic experience, free and don't even need prior booking. One of the best 360° views of London, certainly a must go place. Really nice to visit for some nice photos, especially near sunset where the lighting is perfect and when it gets dark you get a whole different perspective of London.

Found this place by randomly looking on google maps. A great, FREE way to see the city from above. Be prepared to go through a security check before getting on the lift. The views are amazing and the atmosphere is really chill. Went right when they opened and hung out for about 30 minutes and just enjoyed the amazing views of the city and buildings. Luckily the eye was a break in between raining when I went. Highly recommend. Did I mention it’s FREE?

Loved that we got to do this on our trip to London. Totally free! Quick security check and fast ride up. It was raining of course when we went but if you let rain stop your travel plans you'd get nothing done! Beautiful views of the city! A wonderful little surprise, we got to watch the lights on the tower bridge come on that evening.

  • 5/5 Nathan S. 4 months ago on Google
Free rooftop garden 15 floors up near tower bridge, the gherkin and all the other more interesting architecture of London, as well as views of the shard and St. Paul's. We didn't have to queue, and went straight up. I imagine it's a bit more colourful in the spring/summer. But worth a visit for the views for sure!

Lovely little skyscraper with a view! We came at 10 am and didnt have to wait at all to enter, so that was fab. The entrance is for free. The view is very nice, the spot with the flowers, benches and the water elements is very refreshing and nice to look at. Very recommended!

Great free visit at The Garden at 120. Very friendly staff, toilets and restaurant on site and great views of the city. The garden is small but it's a nice panoramic spot of London. No booking required, just show up. You will be required to undergo security checks.

Super great free viewing platform in London. Great view of the River Thames, Tower Bridge... Less crowded, no queuing and no reservation necessary in contrast to the viewing platform "Skygarden", but a little lower.

An excellent roof top view of London with a nice garden area. You can get good views of the Gherkin , Tower bridge , Tower of London , St Pauls & even the BT tower in far distance. Make sure to get an umbrella if it’s raining.

Great spot for a sunset 🌇 There is no fee and there is no need to prebook but just check the open times. The staff was helpful and managed the visitors well. I would recommend it for people who want to get cool photos. I have gone there several times for lunch and a walk. Highly recommended!

The entrance to this rooftop garden is free and worth the visit! It’s never too crowded and one not only sees wonderful views of the Shard, Tower Bridge, the Gherkin… but of a beautifully kept garden! In summer as well as in winter the flowers/plants were well taken care of and a wow-factor!

One of the free things you can do in London! I stumbled across this roof top garden one time after visiting Sky Garden. The great thing about this place is that it’s free-access which doesn’t require booking. At most you need to pass the security and have your bags checked through a scanner but I would say it’s worth it as the staff are very helpful. It’s a great place to visit for lunch or even for the sunset views of the city. We arrived just before closing but enough to capture the sunset which was great.

Free roof garden without booking needed. Perfect place with nice views for a break, some chats and a coffee. Much quieter than Sky Garden if you prefer less crowd.
