The whole system is very flowed. The Drs and the receptionists don’t have any empathy for patients. Since the pandemic its become a joke. No emergency appointment. Always pushing patients to use out of hours service when the GP should be providing these.Called at 8.30 am only to be told they’ve reached capacity. You can’t be using covid excuse any more! If there is demand for appointment you need to equip yourself for this!

I've been a patient at this doctor since 2018. Over the last year, the care has deteriorated beyond repair. You have to phone at 08.30 to get an appointment only to be told-after waiting for 30mins on hold-that you can only see an emergency doctor by an extremely rude receptionist. I was upset and shaking at her rudeness and will be making a formal complaint. I will also be changing doctors. Absolutely awful.

Never had a receptionist make me cry before today. I called the day before, they told me to come in a 8:30am to be seen. I get there and they say I can only get a phone call by my doctor. Didn’t ask what my problem was. I’ve never been here before and have never seen a doctor but they insisted my doctor isn’t available. Run as far away from this place as you can. I’ve been trying to get in for MONTHS for something slightly less serious but today when the issue became debilitating they yelled at me, and told me to go home. Can you imagine a girl bawling her eyes out in the lobby and the receptionists so incompetent and rude that this happens. I’ll be moving neighborhoods just so I can get a new competent GP.

Dr Sufi is an extremely caring doctor that looks after her patients and goes above and beyond. I can’t recommend her highly. I would also like to say dr Burke is also great. The receptionists on the other hand are less than desirable and extremely blunt. But please note that not all of them are like this. Some have helped me a lot.

There are never any appointments even when you call first thing in the morning at 8:30am. They will tell you ring again in 2 days then when you do, again, they will tell you there’s no appointments. The soonest they can offer is in a week or two weeks. Not very helpful when you have a serious medical condition. Only locum doctors available and they cannot wait to get you off the phone. Because they’re locum, you see a new doctor every time and have to keep repeating yourself. To top it off Receptionists often make mistakes scheduling your appointment f.e. They tell you your appointment will be on the phone when actually it’s in person and you end up missing it. Management don’t respond to complaints. Very poorly run GP overall. No redeeming qualities.

Dr Sufi, has been my doctor for over 10 years and hands down she has been the best. Every problem I have she’s always been supportive and helping me to make the great choice. Always giving me advice and helping me in my health plan. Thank you dr Sufi. ❤️

Dr Abas is the only saving grace of this GP. The receptionists are beyond rude, they’re lazy, unhelpful and have zero compassion. Several occasions they have lied and told me they didn’t have information that I had supplied multiple times. The booking system is a joke and 48 hours to get a prescription is very harmful when you are in need for medication urgently. In addition, the website is impossible to use. You might as well not become to not have to deal with this horrible practice.

This has to be the worst GP practice in East London. Receptionist are awful, the phone lines should open at 8:30 however does not connect till 8:45, appointments are near enough NEVER available because they can’t prioritise their time effectively. You can’t tell patients on the phone the appointments were taken because people queued outside the practice first, what if I am physically unable to get to the practice to queue for 8:30, absolutely ridiculous. Reception staff are extremely rude, all terrible. You are not trained medical professionals! Shocking experience time and time again, just when you think they can’t get worst they keep you on hold for 53 minutes to just hung up! Appalling. Julie, Sue, Kim you’re all in desperate need of people skill training, you do not deserve to work with the public in this sensitive sector!! This is one too many times now and I am fed up!

Dr sufi is a very good doctor. She is very caring, empathetic and most importantly, you get to establish a connection with the doctor. She will give sufficient time to each patient and listens to you very patiently. Dr sufi is the best doctor i have ever met! I strongly recommend Dr sufi

Receptionists (I spoke to two) were rude to me. One accused me of wasting the doctors and nurses time after I turned up on an appointment for my baby’s vaccination (on time) without the red book. (Deprived of sleep, with a newborn and a toddler to look after, I was turned away!) I left the reception in tears and will not consider coming back. This is 21st century practice? I don’t know, are they using computers to access patients information?!

Terrible customer service. reception staff are always furious as soon as they pick up the phone (on the rare occasion they actually ever do), and even once you finally get through, your problem will be lost. I’ve waited 3 months for a referral letter, called every fortnight, and nothing’s happened. Would’ve been more effective to throw a coin in a wishing well.

This place is going downhill fast. Terrible reception service and equally poor management, complaints and concerns are brushed aside including those relating to the safeguarding of patient data and personal information. The surgery should invest in some high-quality customer service training for their staff.

I went in today to get a form filled up. The reception lady goes it’s gonna cost me £100 and I told her I’ve paid £50 a few months ago. Why is £100 now she goes its £100 now if you want to leave your form and if you don’t you can go she was so rude.. I’ve been going there since 1988 where did they find the receptionist?

My experience with the surgery has been brilliant but in particular with Dr Sufi who has been extremely supportive with concerns I have had. Dr Sufi is very friendly and caring. She provides useful information to help you better understand the concerns one may have. Hospital referrals are speedy when needed. Highly Recommended

I've been registered with Bethnal Green Health Center for almost 3 years now. Unfortunately the waiting list to speak to a doctor is long, but that's the system to blame. I've been seen by Dr. Sufi and I am extremely satisfied by her kindness and big heart. She is a really capable doctor and helped me a lot along the way. Be kind to your doctors and health care professionals, they are doing an amazing job under really difficult circumstances.

Dr Sufi has been our family doctor for over 7years. She listens to our concerns and is always there for support, advice and refers to the appropriate department. She has always gone above and beyond to make sure I am satisfied with the help that she has given. Dr Sufi is amazing with children and ensures the best level care is always given. I am so grateful to have such a lovely and friendly GP.

I‘ve had a really positive experience at Bethnal Green Surgery and wanted to say thank you to the lovely Reception Ladies, in particular, Carol and Sue, who have booked me in for blood tests and consultations and kindly rescheduled these appointments multiple times due to my infection. They have always done their best to accommodate the date and time suitable to me (I work full time) and I am very grateful for that. They‘ve always been empathetic, kind and helpful and I know their job can be really stressful and overwhelming at times. Great job, Ladies! :-)

Julie at reception is very rude and doesn't care about patients health. I explained my medication has run out too her and she told me I would have to wait a few days which is unbelievable as my medication is for my mental health so she basically wants me to go out of my mind, very unprofessional woman, she would not even let me speak to a doctor so has basically left me in limbo to go mad and I know my doctor doctor Ali will not be happy with this, this woman needs to learn how to treat patients, very angry with her.

Terrible service, receptionists are all clueless, if you actually manage to see a doctor you're very lucky. The best service I've received here was when I was visited by apprentices trying to learn the job. This says a lot. They also cancelled me from their practice without notice. Avoid.

Great Health Centre but what makes it truly special is Dr Sufi. She is without doubt one of the best doctors in London. I have been a patient of her for a while now and I can honestly say that she is the most understanding, caring, and knowledgeable doctor around. She really cares for her patients and takes time out to check up on you and make sure all is well. I really appreciate everything she does for me and family. Truly a special person...thank you for everything..from Musa and family 🙏

Dr Sufi has been mine doctor for 22 years and my family’s doctor for even longer. She provides excellent service and advise and acknowledges every concern I’ve had over the years. She goes out of her way to address concerns we may have whether that may be through referrals or providing information packs. I couldn’t ask for a better doctor.
