Been here just because of my wife have a serious swell on her knee and I bring her to here for acupuncture treatment . First we walk into the shop , the woman ( doctor ) charge us for £10 for consultation fees and check whether what’s going wrong to my wife’s knee . What comes in a result that the doctor is being so unprofessionally and she’s on her phone with her client at that moment and didn’t even check what’s happen to my wife’s knee. After she end up the call , the doctor was doing nothing on my wife’s knee and said that she need to do acupuncture treatment and charge us for another £45 . During the acupuncture treatment , the doctor didn’t even look after my wife’s knee and just left her alone in the room. After time is up , the doctor came back to her and said that she need to charge for another £10 for massage and it might be better to her knee after the treatment . The doctor said that the massage takes roughly 10 minutes and she start to bring her phone and set the timer. During massage , the doctor feel so inpatient and keep looking at her phone whether time is up and not concentrating on her job during that moment . As a result , please don’t visit to this shop as charge you for high prices without any reason . This is the first time I have ever felt that i have been scammed and the doctor is being so unprofessionally. Please be aware guys if you tend to visit to this shop 👎🏻👎🏻

This review is for Doctor Yan, not the shop. I went to Hong Ning for some next pain on Friday and the service upon entering wasn't great but it’s a Chinese Medicine shop so I didn’t think much of it. A female customer came down and was a bit upset about the horrible service and said she only wanted to pay for consultation and nothing else. That should’ve been my first warning but I persisted due to my pain. Doctor Yan (older lady in her 60’s) didn’t consult with me but asked me to pay £80 for half hour massage followed by acupuncture. Warning number two but again, I thought about my neck pain. I had my half hour massage starting at 5pm which was great and wish I would’ve stuck with that. Instead, Doctor Yan came up, stuck a bunch of needles throughout my head, neck and shoulder all while pausing every few minutes to text on her phone. She turned on the warmer and then left saying nothing. I fell asleep and woke up thinking...wait a min, no one has checked on me. This was my second time ever doing acupuncture and it didn’t feel right. I was petrified to check the time because I had over a dozen needles in my head, neck and shoulders. It was getting so late I managed to turn my head to see it was 6:40pm. That’s over an hour since having the needles in me. I was shouting and knocking on the wall but to no avail. Finally, I mustered enough courage to reach for my coat for my phone. Luckily, the room was small enough so that it was close. I called what I thought was the shop but it was the head office. They called and Doctor Yan came up all while saying on the phone “I forgot.” Im still traumatized from the experience. I told her not to forget to pull all the needles out of my body. She pulled it all out so quickly, asked to add my wechat and left. All she said was “sorry for the inconvenience 不好意思” not even an apology. We are in desperate times where people are losing jobs and businesses are going bust. I would never post this if I didn’t feel this “doctor” was wreak-less and unprofessional. I want to warn anyone about her as she may float around the multiple branches of the shops as it’s all a franchise in Chinatown. The Chinese medicine shop is wonderful for our community. But watch out for this lady.

I have suffered from eczema since I was a baby and when all else fails in western medicine, the only thing I trust is Chinese medicine. As a baby, I was taken to Dr Lao, who was an enigma in the 1980’s for eczema sufferers. I was cured, within a few months, from head to toe skin, covered in eczema. Ten years ago I began to suffer again, just on my hands, and I was lucky enough to discover Dr Lao’s sister also called Dr Lao, now works at this clinic. She is phenomenal and when the going gets rough, this is the place I come to.

Confusing time. If it was my first massage ever I’ll probably have a phobia by now. Masseuse practiced with dirty hands and used Baby oil from Sainsbury’s. I had to tell her to not to talk on FaceTime while massaging. I’m still in pain... mentally and physically

don't even try to go there, you have to pay consultation fee £10 upfront the second you walk in the clinic. I ended up with 6 pack of herbs powder without being told what is in there. Feel like a scam. I regret not walking out the second I was asked for consultation fee.

As I know, Hong Ning Clinic is the earliest Chinese Medical Center. Dr. Luo is a skin expert. I have indroduced many patients to see her and everyone has got good results. Thanks to Dr. Luo. The staff in this clinic are also kind and helpful, always giving detailed consultation and nice treatment. Will definitely recommend!

I had the best acupuncture experience so far in this shop! I went there because of sprain of my ankle. I popped in this cozy Chinese medicine shop when I can’t stand the pain anymore. What I got? Brilliant and useful acupuncture treatment with 30 minutes deep tissue massage. After treatment for several times, I’m totally fine now. A nice experience with Chinese medicine.

The acupuncture is really good! Bad are the herbs (I took huo xiang herbs) .. they make me feel more sick after making a tea and they cost me 15 pound ... I thought they must be good stuff but don’t take those cos they are not clean !

Overall it’s very good. I purchased the massage session. The only thing you need to be aware is that you’d better book the massage appointment in advance otherwise you might need to wait for some time to get the massage.

Great little place for Chinese medical treatment and meds. Very simple facilities perhaps but still a good place although it's slightly expensive. The doctor is very helpful with her explanations and actually helped me get back to health after me being very, very ill for several years. She explained that I had circulatory and kidneys problems and gave me herbs for these conditions, cupping and acupuncture. After each cupping treatment I felt fantastic and painfree (at least for some hours) after being ill for so long. Cupping increases circulation. I also love that it's run by women, which feels more comfortable. I started making regular lifestyle efforts to increase circulation, detoxify and add a kidney friendly diet (my GP denied I had any kidney problems at the time, but one year later they indeed confirmed I had kidney problems). I am now about 70% cured! It's all due to this little clinic and their help to give me clarity what exactly was happening which any other diagnosis and treatment had failed.
