Urbanest Westminster Bridge is an excellent location for students. It’s extremely close to the Big Ben, the London Eye, and the Westminster Abbey. It’s literally situated in the heart of the city and I must say the view from the terrace of the accommodation is breathtaking. I always go there when I want to get some fresh air and feel happy. I feel so safe in this area. Also, it’s literally got Tesco, M&S Simply Food, Sainsbury’s, Pret, and Co-op with in 5 mins of walking. The Waterloo station is also just 7 mins away. EVERYTHING A STUDENT CAN ASK FOR IS OFFERED AT URBANEST. However, the staff is sometimes not helpful, but you rarely have an issue here. BOOK YOUR PLACE IN THE JANUARY OF YOUR COMMENCEMENT YEAR! Also, try and book higher floors on the external sides.

DO NOT BOOK HERE ! They've ripped off students on purpose, avoided our calls and emails, hidden behind unfair contract terms and used their power disproportionately over us. The place itself is okay, even though very overpriced... But their treatment of students has been appalling. There has been no support for us during the pandemic while every of their competitors have done more to support residents! No fair discount, no way to rescind the contract even when we are literally unable to go back to London for an indeterminate amount of time. Urbanest, respond to our petition, that's the last way you can redeem itself for ruining the year of hundreds of students. And don't buy into the responses they give to these reviews, saying they've been working hard and they can't do much to help us... It's all just lies. Every other private accomodations have been doing way more to help students! We've been there, we've seen what's happening: they're ripping everyone off, and once you've signed, you're done. If they can't treat people humanly, no one should book there, no matter how pretty their marketing and website is. It's all just lies to trap you into an unfair contract.

Giving it 2 stars only because the location is spectacular. Urbanest is equidistant from Westminster and Waterloo stations which makes the connectivity phenomenal. It’s very centrally located so easy walk to places or bus/train to wherever you need to go around London or even outside of London because of the Waterloo station. The views from the 18th floor are wonderful - highly recommend taking advantage of that if you end up living here. The gym/pool/sauna are also a plus but you have to pay extra and the price is a whopping £300 something for the year. If you leave earlier, want to cancel or transfer your membership to a replacement tenant, that’s not an option. Other than that, the rooms are subpar and extremely small for the rent they charge - it is incredibly expensive for a student accommodation and you’re better off getting a shared flat with your friends or subletting through the student groups on Facebook. There is very little ventilation in the rooms and the view is usually not what is shown in the pictures. The overnight staff and mailroom staff are very sweet but I found the staff during regular hours to be incredibly unhelpful and in some cases just plain rude. I had to chase them for months on end to get my payments settled upon the end of my tenancy and their team would not respond even after multiple support tickets/emails and voicemails. I wouldn’t recommend unless you have nowhere else/are okay with splurging.

The staff are nice. My room is OK. Parcel services are timely and nice. But given the price tag, you may want to avoid here if one of the following bothers you. 1. Staff enter your room frequently. For whatever reasons: wifi, wifi again, wifi*3, pest control, smoke detector check, door check ..... I value my privacy and I am not always in my best shape to open the door at random time. 2. No free bikes available due to covid. One thing I really looked forward to was the free bike access as promised. However, due to covid this never happend. I understood the hygine concerns but just wanna point out in case anyone is interested. Santander bikes are nice anyway. 3. Too close to the hotel building. My room (west - north side) is super close to the hotel building and my window is so big that I could see (and be seen by) people in the hotel PERFECTLY. it felt uncomfortably exposed especially at night when curtains were not down. 4. Avoid rooms with shared space if you worry about Covid. I was told one of my flatmates tested positive but they refused to let me know who the person was to avoid discrimination. What really freaked me out was the fact that EVERYONE (including the patient) still had full access to the shared kitchen during the required self-isolation of the whole flat. This is the main reason I decid to move out asap.

While staying at the Urbanest I received poor care, dirty living conditions, and noisy accommodations. The rooms were hot and only solution was to open the windows to sleep. This means that all night you would hear trains and sirens from the emergency hospital located next to the dorms. Also my room was not very clean when we moved in and we had to ask the staff for an extra towel and toilet paper 3 different times. The location also is not very ideal if you are attending the London school of economics. I would not suggest staying at the Urbanest to anyone.

I have lived at Urbanest through my entire university degree. Urbanest has been a constant part of my life as a student and I know I can count on them. I felt safe and very comfortable living here. The entire team is always there to help you. Urbanest teams keep the building very clean at all times. In my opinion it is the best student accommodation in London.

The management at Urbanest Westminster is amazing and the manager Bruno is super accommodating and helpful. This one time I needed an iron to iron my clothes for an event and he drove and went out of his way at 4 am to get it for me. Super grateful.

Student accommodation for LSE students. A very modern and new building, blameless facilities for learning and entertaining (even find free Xbox underground). I came here to visit my friend and I do love here (regardless the rent). Amaaaaazing view on the rooftop, u can see London eye, Thames and Big Ben. I bet u can see perfect fireworks show on New Year's Eve here. Also, free activity rooms for parties and table tennis.

I can’t explain in words how much I have loved living at Urbanest for my final year of undergraduate. All the staff made my stay easier, they have always helped me with any problem, from a lost letter to come and fix the microwave within minutes. The rooms are spacious and there is lots of privacy between one room and another. All the common areas are fantastic. I wish I could still watch the sunset from the terrace, play table tennis all night long and watch the sunrise while having breakfast. I miss all the incredible staff that works there, from the reception team, to the amazing guys that comes and fix everything within minutes. Thanks Urbanest for making my last year of university the most special one, I will never forget a single second of it! ❤️

This dormitory is not enough for student's comfortability. If you have a problem there, they wont solve the problem. They do not care your situation.

Loved living here while I was a student. If you want to stay very central in London then this is the only spot for it. If you get a room, grab it.

The accommodation is amazing - staying here for the second year, planning to stay again next year. Extremely convenient, particularly for LSE, amazing facilities and the best staff you find (shoutout to Damir! - he’s THE Greatest of All Time). 100% book this place.

I am currently living at Urbanest Westminster Bridge. I moved from a different country during the pandemic, I did my self-isolation here, and I am busy surviving the national lockdowns and Covid-19 in general. I see the opinions vary vastly, so I thought I’d give my unbiased thoughts. The maintenance and reception staff are good - always warm and able to help. The location is absolutely prime: close to campus, amazing sights, various shops around the corner, and there is a lot of safe space to run and walk around. Even during this unprecedented economic and health crisis, I have never left unsafe or boxed in. As many have mentioned, the apartments are small - but the sizes do not differ significantly from other London residences. Plus, the apartments and rooms are efficiently designed, and the showers are not those horrible “wet shower.” That said, the apartments are more expensive than average, but you get what you pay for. Still, do not come here if you can’t afford it or if you are expecting a mansion. The price accounts for the clean and modern facilities, various amenities, prime location and overall safety. Also note that you will cut on travel expenses as it is close to everything and safe to walk everywhere. If I could choose again, I would make the same decision and come to Urbanest Westminster Bridge.

I recently visited Urbanest and was extremely impressed with my experience. The view from the room was absolutely breathtaking and truly one of the best in the city. The location was also fantastic, with easy access to all of the major attractions and transportation. Additionally, the facility was extremely clean and well-maintained, making for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Overall, I highly recommend Urbanest for anyone looking for a great location and unbeatable view in London.

Demir is the sexiest greatest guy at the reception apart from the view he is the best thing about urbanest. Let’s hope he lets us keep the terrace open after 10pm hopefully 😁

Urbanest Westminster Bridge has a convenient location and a stunning view. And I‘d like to specially thank Damir for his warm and efficient reception services even at such a late hour. Having lived here for four months, I feel so welcome and cared for at Urbanest that I really want to recommend here!

This review is regarding an amazing Urbanest staff member of the Westminster Bridge location, who's name is Ruhul. I had many issues settling into Urbanest Westminister and since I was new to the city of London, I was facing other issues like making friends and not knowing any places to go. Ruhul really helped me out by being informative and kind when I was asking him 100's if not 1000's of questions, which was super helpful for cutting down on this anxiety. He is a very nice person and one of the best people at the Westminster bridge location of Urbanest.

Don’t come here, been here a year, the ensuite maybe worth it but the penthouse is extremely not worth the price(700 per week), with that price and lower you can rent a so much better apartment with great facilities. There’s no AC which made me live at my friends place with hot weather(the inside temperature can be up to 38 degrees at night even). Unbearable I would say. The bathroom is small. The space design is unreasonable. Now one of the elevator is broken for weeks and I need 10 minutes to wait for one elevator. Most of the stuffs are nice tho.

I absolutely agree with the negative feedback given here. Stayed here for the last 10 months, and I have to say it felt more like living in a ridiculously expensive prison cell. For this money you can get a lovely apartment in London that is not right next to a trainstation(which means that you can actually open your window). Very disappointing to see that a student accommodation is so profit driven.

  • 1/5 Kiara P. 2 years ago on Google
Absolutely the worst accommodation I've ever stayed at. Room is so hot and cannot open windows because it's right next to the train tracks. They still owe me refund and is avoiding giving it back. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Nice place to stay for study. Noise from Waterloo station is definitely something you should consider if you are about to book
