A staff there named Clive, he never stops working at a Saturday night 930pm and deep cleaning both of the changing rooms and does this every week. To keep the nice place clean as it does have a reputation of having poor hygiene. Recommend this gym changing rooms are spotless. 💪🏻

I have recently left NRG due to major issues with how it operates. Over the course of this year it has got extremely busy in the evening, to the point where I could not use it. I then started coming in early to train only to find that there were private classes running. These large groups of people took over the cardio section as well as the weights section making it impossible for me to train. The gym is very poorly maintained, when things break they are not replaced. When I joined there were two assault bikes, now there are none. The rowers are broken and upstairs there are treadmills which just do not work. The women's changing room is a disgrace. It is dirty and the sanitary bins frequently overflow with used products. When it is busy there are no lockers available as people keep stuff in them overnight for their own personal use. Their music policy is awful. Very loud aggressive rap music with very offensive language is often played, making me feel very uncomfortable. I know I am not the demographic (white and female) the gym wants, but really I should not have to put up with misogyny when I want to workout. I have complained to the so called manager about all of these issues several times and he just did not care. In the end I felt like I had no other option but to leave. I'm now back at Pure Gym and it's not great, but it's better than NRG!

When I enrolled on the gym, the manager stated that there is no contract. I cancelled my membership after paying the first month's fee. Then the company demanded that I pay 70 pounds extra. When I tried to talk to the manager he just blamed me for not reading the contract fully. He even started to show his poker face by raising his voice to me. Consequently, I had to pay extra for the gym, I didn't use because of his misguidance. I totally do not care about the money I paid. The problem is that I was exposed to rude and disgusting attitudes that I had never encountered before. How rude! The gym absolutely deserves a better manager. I definitely do NOT RECOMMEND it.

Very nice gym (the best in town) especially for the price. It’s very clean as well and staff are helpful and friendly. The only small thing I wish for is that there was a steam room. That would be amazing and make the gym complete! How ever very grateful for the sauna which is always clean.

I've loved this gym but the love is going! I'm totally fed up with all of the broken equipment at the gym. I'm training for the London marathon and been using the treadmills and rowers upstairs. All of the treadmills are now broken and the rowers are on their last legs. When will these be fixed? There was no sanitiser in the main gym yesterday, so no way to wipe down equipment after I'd used it either. Please get the equipment sorted EDIT/UPDATE: There was no sanitiser in the gym yesterday, the computers have gone on both the curved treadmills (only one has been working for months) and the seats are constantly going on the rowing machines upstairs. Saying that everything is under warranty and fixed immediately isn't correct!

I moved into the area a month ago and happy to say I have found the best gym in town. The range of equipments, female sauna and female zone in particular. The gym has a lot to offer plus super friendly manager and staff. It’s great value for money for just 20.95 per month, lovely atmosphere, clean and free parking.

Really good equipment and space- The only thing preventing me giving a 5 star rating was the fact the sauna in the mens changing room wasn't working and hadn't been cleaned in awhile. Also the music is on the deafening side - I had to turn my headphones to max to listen to my own music. That can become a bit much after awhile. I hope they resolve these issues so i can give them 5 Stars!

Nice gym! But the bathroom smells as if a few horses came in and chilled for a bit. I don't understand how a gym's bath area isn't super clean especially if that's where the sauna is. I couldn't comfortably sit in there and breathing that smell. Sanitation wise it's a negative for me and the homies. That alone will stop me for continuing there.

Nice gym, but can be really busy in there especially around the weights section during peak times, it'sfairly clean and tidy. What brings this gym down is the male changing rooms, some of the lockers are broken and the one urinal in there is always blocked and leaking, the changing room could do with a regular clean. Other than that, the gym is value for money, and would recommend this gym.

One of the best equipped gyms I’ve been to in town. They have a number of training areas (cardio, free weights, functional strength and a dedicated womens section). Great equipment, and there are plenty of the more popular bits (squat racks, cable machines) meaning you rarely have to wait for anything. Staff are friendly, good vibe in the gym generally.

I am a member of this gym The layout is excellent. Staff are very welcoming and they have all the latest equipment. It's a good envirent A lovely touch is that they have a ladies only area which I use regular sp if you are slightly intimidated by the gym or new to it there is a space for you and it is equipped with good equipment. The cleaning is normally good but sometimes it could be better when you see piled up dust in the area where the classes are, as well bins overflowing with tissue, but all in all excellent place to work out.

The facilities here were amazing! I was met by Clive at the reception and gave me and my friends a chat about progressing in the gym and becoming more fit. He even gave each of us individual tips I haven’t heard elsewhere before! I definitely will be coming back a lot more often the gym is great and really friendly, I highly recommend it.

I've been a member at NRG for some time - it's the best gym in Lewisham. Angelo is an exceptional PT. His expertise and guidance have been instrumental in my fitness journey. The gym is always clean and well-equipped. Highly recommended for anyone serious about their fitness goals.

I've been utilizing the excellent gym facility at NRG Lewisham since 2021. While I faced problems with my account during my vacation, NATHAN efficiently resolved the matter and reinstated my account in a highly prompt manner

NRG Gym holds a fabulous experience. They have excellent equipment and many areas for you to workout in depending on your goals.The staff are very welcoming and on duty whenever needed. Would really recommend for anyone

Literally all I could wish for in a gym. It’s spacious, well equipped, clean and the music is good. There’s a women only area for those who might want it. There aren’t too many creeps compared to other gyms I’ve been to, so that’s a bonus! And the manager, Caesar (like the salad), is really cool.

I don’t know what happened lately there but the cleaning and hygiene went down so badly. The ladies toilets are dirty and looking like they are not cleaned often enough which makes you reluctant using the facility at all. The pts are almost all new and a couple of them really creepy and insistent on talking with you about training when you obviously don’t care being “fished” as a client by someone like that, for example the short middle age guy. The classes used to be so nice and entertaining, well not worth it anymore... Such a shame

I've been training here for a couple of years now and all the staff are amazing. I love the fact they have a women's only section as well as martial arts classes. They have all the equipment I need. The staff are always happy to help out and very chilled. Never had a bad experience here.

NRG Gym Lewisham is an amazing training facility with top equipment and a great environment. Good service with friendly staff. I can't rate this gym highly enough. Special shout out to Nathan, Andrew and Angelo who I've always found extremely helpful.

Been going to NRG over 3 years now and for the price you pay it’s the best option in the area. Staff are friendly and helpful and there’s a great community in the gym. Would never return to a commercial gym after going to NRG as it offers so much more in terms of availability of equipment and weights

I love going to this gym, it’s fantastic, with a wide range of interesting equipment and also the fight club upstairs. It’s just the best gym in town. Staff are really really friendly, especially sam, really helpful, really knowledgeable, nothing is too much effort. Great example of how gym should be

Absolutely love this gym. The staff are always amazing and accommodating. The new manager Andrew has been doing really well. The energy of the gym has felt different since he took over. Additionally I’m so happy to be in a gym that has actual music playing and not just radio stations repeating the same adverts. The music choices allows for high energy in the gym, which I absolutely love!

We joined this gym because they had a great deal on for a winter membership. Haven't used it as much as we'd like, but that's because it's not a hugely fun place to be. It has no windows and the music is often far too loud, and not particularly good music on a number of occasions. However, their equipment is excellent and plentiful, so it's done the job for us!

I have been coming to this Gym since it opened and can honestly say the vibe and the classes are the best! Nice gym community, great space, up to date equipment, great managers and amazing class teachers.

This is my before review. I was incredibly impressed with the space and the vibe in the gym. Very movement oriented! The assistant manager (newly promoted!) was fantastic and welcoming and very friendly and knowledgeable. She hooked us up with some passes even if we don’t sign up, so we could try it out! Very excited for my workout! More to follow! Just got done with my workout and am just as impressed, if not more, than when I got here! Lots of machines, free weights and space for doing your own thing. Very clean and inviting and somehow the space makes me want to keep working out even when I am exhausted! This is exactly what I need in a gym! 10/10 and will be getting a membership immediately!

My fav gym I have used. The place is always being cleaned and you can also self clean the equipment. The gym is spacious and has a women's area. As there is so much space it never looks extremely busy to me. The equipment is modern and there is a lot of choice. I look forward to working out here :)

I've been a member since the beginning and it's an amazing space with so much potential but the staff don't seem to care about building a report with the customers unless selling PT sessions. As a result, all classes taught by NRG staff are dry, not to mention the high staff turnover. We need the diversity of Lewisham Puregym classes in the NRG building. I also rarely see cleaners cleaning high frequency areas, lockers & handles etc. At one point the cleaners were regularly moping the stairs at peak times 6pm. MAJOR HAZARD. The women's changing rooms are regularly untidy on Sunday evenings. So much potential!

Been going here since the opening, love it so much the staff are helpful and great and the facilities are always clean and ready to use. I would like to see more functional equipment. Possibly balance boards and slam balls.

Far and away the best gym in London for serious gym goers. The staff are kind and thoughtful and have kept me coming back even though I live on the other side of London!! New management has been great, really appreciate the new equipment! Clive has been a star, always friendly, helpful and the place is clean as a whistle. Can't recommend it enough.

Great gym, great equipments, large space and value for money. It's 24 hrs gym but Air conditioning only start at 7 am. Difficult to workout in summer. sometimes difficult to breath.

Recently started going to NRG Lewisham and I have enjoyed attending the classes, especially dance classes, however it is only on in the mornings and it would be great if the NRGised funky dance fit sessions were also available in an evening slot, as I and many others do not have the capacity to attend the morning sessions. Therefore can the morning session be kept on, but another session in the evening be added? This would be so good! 🔥

I’ve been coming to this NRG Lewisham for a few months , The staff have all been extremely friendly and helpful, Each time I visit the gym Clive takes the time out to show me how to use the equipment and he is polite and his customer service is amazing! Ive just join the gym and its amazing the staff are great Seisa showed me around and showed me what exercises I need to do and explain protein the benefits of using it. I then spoke to Clive and Nathan and they both made me feel welcome and i would recommend this gym to anyone. Very clean and great gym equipment

I have been looking for a gym to train in when I am staying with friends in London, which I do frequently. People have told me NRG in Lewisham is a really good gym, so I had a look around before joining. Yes, it certainly is a very good gym. Very large, very spacious, tons of equipment. Everything you might need. (Especially for bodybuilding.) It must have cost a fortune to kit out. Very impressive. A woman personal trainer showed me round. Although I saw all of the gym, I did not learn much, as it was all so rushed. I have to say that she certainly did not look like a superfit personal trainer in any way. In worse shape than I am. I cannot help but compare her to the woman who showed me around my local gym recently, who had the body of a top athlete and gave me loads of information and guidance. Looked and acted the part. I was expecting similar at NRG, but it fell way short. Not for me. Great gym, but poor staff and unwelcoming. *************************************************************************** In response to the Owners Response. ++++ Thanks for the reply. You may well have nine personal trainers, but I can only base my review on the one who showed me round, not on all nine. It does not address my point about the unwelcoming unfriendly atmosphere. Recently joined the gym, best gym i’ve been to so far. Especially the fact that there’s a girls room which is much appreciated. The changing rooms are always clean and the added sauna is amazing.

As someone who has been a member of multiple gyms locally for years, I must say this one really stands out, the attention to detail by staff is amazing, they care and it shows, from machine maintenance to saying hello to everyone young and old and being an old man myself it's appreciated, the sauna, the cleaner is a wonderful man and always lovely to chat to. Nicest gym around

This gym is brilliant. I left another gym to come to NRG because of the equipment, staff and most importantly the classes. The variety of classes and morning classes are great. They allow me to do school run and come and train straight after. The manager is helpful and friendly and helps out when I need assistance. I recommend this gym to all my friends and have even got some of the school mums to join the gym with me.
