This statue stands in tribute to Field Marshal Frederick Sleigh Roberts, 1st Earl Roberts, a distinguished Indian born British soldier and one of the most successful commanders of the Victorian era. The monument is an equestrian statue of Lord Roberts on his charger atop a pedestal. The Field Marshal sits proudly upon his steed, face stern and looking straight ahead. A beautiful monument.

Quite easy to miss the statue if you didn't know it was here, especially if you came through the building from the Horses Guard.

👍👍 £4.5 entrance fee for a communist idealist tomb, that’s absolute win of capitalism! As a fans of capitalism, of course I don’t mind to pay for the entrance fee for this beautiful cemetery. Karl Marx’s tomb is one of the biggest and grandest tomb inside. Worth to pay for a visit, as many of Communis...

👍👍 ‘The Women of World War II’ monument at Whitehall, London. Carry on down Whitehall and in the centre of the road is a large black-coloured bronze memorial with ‘The Women of World War II’ written on the side of it. Several helmets and uniforms have been sculpted as if hanging from pegs around the o...
