Popped in here today and my god this is a massive health and safety risk for the employee and public. Good luck finding anything you are looking for here it looks like a jumble sale. I've been to other (the range) stores before and this was just horrible. I didn't find anything I wanted. I would never be returning here. AVOID do not shop here if you have kids. (the place could cause injury)

The Range is a bit of an eclectic store. The Croydon stored is located on the site of an ex Homebase and it shares some similarities there in being able to obtain DIY products, but there the similarities diverge as you can also buy a range of Iceland products, confectionery (including Wham sweets) and stationery goods. Truly a mixed bag of items. The store is large and well layed out. On my last visit it wasn't too crowded and there was virtually no queue.

Love this shop. Especially the blingy items. Went for a couple of picture frames. Rose sparkle and only £2.79 for 7x5, bargain and so pretty. Everything is so reasonably priced. Also bought a very stylish new kettle only £24.99. Will be going back very soon I think!!

I brought some discounted items to the till, including a plastic seed tray set and a pair of gardening gloves. The seed tray set was shown to be 75p but the cashier charged me £3.99 (later refunded). Then the gloves had a label on itself saying it is £2.99 but the till lady charged me £3.49 and refused to honor the displayed price despite I had shown to her the displayed price. I totally understand the till's price is final but I would not have browsed around for discounted products had you not displayed attractive clearance prices. Let's not waste the time of us and conduct some honorable business, would you? The Range likes to lure customers to bring things to the till that way? Why just they do not conduct business in an honest manner?

Everything under one roof!! I no right, I can't believe it aswell, even a icelands food shop, cafe on 1st floor, and to top it of great prices. Decorated my bedroom, wallpaper, picture frames, lamp and decor all from The Range.

Loved it, great value! Knowledgeable available staff, usually nothing too much trouble. Big branch, fantastic stock 👏🏽 a wonderful place to get ornaments, lighting, bedding and other household items. Crafts, garden equipment, and so much more! Try it, unlikely you'll be disappointed.

Still too many empty shelves and some grumpy sales staff. Dees Cafe is too small and the so called LIFT is ridiculous. The whole store needs revamping. Shames, as the concept of the Range is good (ie a large range of goods at affordable prices) but needs new management or more head office support?

Large range of household and garden stuff on display. I made a quick visit and was able to find stuff which I was looking for. Parking is only 2 hrs which I don't think will work if you open to visit more than one shop in that area.

In general, The Range is a pretty decent store, especially if you need some bits for the home at a good price. However, this particular store resembles something similar to a car boot sale. It's a mess. Always boxes of stock everywhere and absolutely NOTHING has the right price tags on the shelf. I visited last week and it was like a game of The Price is Right at the till because I had no idea what I would end up paying for my items. This put me off picking up many products which I needed. Staff are okay... There's an iceland too, but the fact all the shelved items were in plastic storage boxes makes me think there is likely a pest control issue (that might not be the reason but it certainly looks like it's the only plausible cause). Finally, there's a cafe... didn't visit it because of all the above.

A lovely place but quite untidy on top. More of a eye catching display of items would be lovely especially things they are in the box ready for display. In heaps, looks as though no one cares. I appreciate that there are not enough workers in the shops...budget cuts etc...and yes we work for money to help us but putting our hearts into our work just gives it that extra touch. In short ...make the top floor look neater. Good bless

This place has a large selection of products, from just about every household item's you can imagine (perfect for those DIY enthusiasts)to a fantastic choice of arts and crafts at a very reasonable price, definitely worth checking out this shop before going to Hobby Craft. You'll also find plenty of toys, a fantastic Christmas selection, and randomly a pet foods section, nor forget the garden centre. This particular store even has an Iceland branch within.

Very friendly people. Espcially Katie, who suggest me to find the right product that I need. Also the man in the garden centre who literally helped to fix the leak problem with the product that I can purchase in combination with. Very knowledgeable and friendly service I have received today. Happy to share

Only ever seeing the Range on line but love the merchandise I had seen I wanted see it in person so happy I did nothing like holding the items in person I will be back soon

So much great stuff here ( and some tacky stuff), but on the whole, it's worth a visit. My main gripe was that there was so much on display without prices on them. Yes, we could have asked, but there wasn't an army of staff around to ask, and there were that many products without price we'd have been there all day. Sort your pricing out The Range and I'd score you more..

If you are looking for a one-stop shop for all your home and leisure needs, look no further than The Range Croydon. This store has everything you could possibly want, from furniture and bedding to kitchenware and lighting. Whether you are redecorating your living room, updating your bathroom, or sprucing up your garden, you will find a wide range of products to suit your style and budget. The Range Croydon is not just a home store, though. It also has a fantastic selection of arts and crafts supplies, stationery, books, toys, games, and more. You can unleash your creativity with paints, brushes, canvases, stickers, beads, and other materials. You can also find great gifts for your friends and family, or treat yourself to something special. What I love most about The Range Croydon is the amazing prices. You can get quality products at bargain prices, and save even more with their regular promotions and discounts. They also have a loyalty card scheme that rewards you with points and vouchers for every purchase. You can also shop online and collect your order in store for free. The staff at The Range Croydon are very friendly and helpful. They always greet you with a smile and offer assistance if you need it. They are knowledgeable about the products and can give you advice and tips on how to use them. The store is clean and well-organized, making it easy to find what you are looking for. I always enjoy shopping at The Range Croydon. It is my go-to place for quality and value. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves home improvement, hobbies, or just browsing for fun. The Range Croydon is a five-star store in my book! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Interesting range of household goods for.most rooms in the house. Has an Iceland store built into the same store. Parking good. Prices good. Few tills so queues when busy.

I visit the Range quite often and have always found the staff very friendly and helpful. Today I was browsing an isle which was incredibly messy and it was difficult to understand what labels matched the item. I took some things off the shelf and a few other items fell off. I put them back but again but other items began to fall off. I did put them back twice and missed one item and continued browsing the isle when a member of staff came up to me and asked me to put things back if they fall off. I explained to him the isle is untidy and despite putting things back they keep falling and he just kept repeating ‘I know but it would be nice if you put them back’. In the end I gave up. Whilst I appreciate this is a big store and it’s inevitable to keep things in place, I felt this member of staff was being quite unreasonable and condescending. It wasn’t a nice way to be spoken to.

Really big store that has everything you need. Canvases for Art? Check. Gardening equipment and plants? Check. Food and other beverages? Check. They even have a mini Iceland inside the store! As well as a café on the top floor which I have not been to but smells delicious. One thing that can be worked on is definitely the customer service especially at the tills where it genuinely takes forever to get serviced even if there is like two people in the queue.

It's okay, just a bit run down. All the foods that are in a bag (animal and human) are in a sealed box which doesn't bode well. Didn't realise either that if you buy anything reduced it has to go through the till individually and can only be done by a supervisor! You'd think in this day and age they would have the technology for this to happen automatically. Staff were lovely which helps make up for the stores limitations.

  • 2/5 Martina Harrison D. 7 months ago on Google
I came here to write what a mess and safety hazard this store is. Not many staff around and chaos everywhere. Things on the floor to trip over, boxes and stuff all over the floor, a whole aisle should of been shut off for safety reasons as it was all falling down and stuff all over the floor. I tripped on a metal shelving bar on the floor. There is building materials here too. Around the corner are huge boxes blocking aisles. It's not safe and it's a mess. And I read the comment below me said it is also a mess some weeks ago. The range need someone in management to go into this store and promptly sort out safety and appearance, it's not somewhere I enjoyed shopping.

There's enough for everyone for almost all categories of household items at very affordable prices. We get small useful items for kids, household cleaning and frozen food items each week.

Great shop. lovely at Christmas with lots of Christmas lights and decorations, my child loves looking at them all, some things had wrong prices written on them as when I got to the till it was different. But overall great staff very friendly

I love the Range. They do the best Christmas decorations. You have to get there quickly as they are extremely popular. Lovely decorations for the children and grandchildren. Staff are so helpful too!

  • 2/5 Lizzie S. 4 months ago on Google
Went to buy a Christmas tree, the tree we wanted didn't have a label/product information. We asked a member of staff who was working with another colleague stocking shelves and they just said "I don't know" and carried on doing what they were doing. Then went to pay and the cashier's are all talking to each other like they are in the lunch room (non work related conversations- which I wouldn't be bothered about if they waited until we'd been served), and didn't say anything to us except the price, just continued their conversation.

Not a patch on other Range stores. Downstairs is pretty good, plenty of stock and some lovely canvases, mirrors, garden ornaments, Christmas decorations etc. Upstairs in furniture is an absolute mess. Boxes everywhere, hardly anything to view, shabby, dirty with no visable staff presence. Waste of a 20 mile round trip.

  • 4/5 Iaysha M. 4 months ago on Google
Lovely shop. Amazing xmas decorations. Down side was hardly anything had prices on them and also none on the shelves. I do think they was trying to sort this but People were moving them all around.

What a place to wander for a while. They stock SO many things for the home and hobbies alike. Christmas sale was on so some untidy shelves, but everywhere else was tidy and well stocked. Good prices and choices. Staff were lovely and very helpful.

Very handy store with lots of home products to buy. Key Info: Free parking, camping and toys section, plenty of products but needs some interior redecoration. There was a funny smell in the store. Pros: - Plenty of products at a very low price range. - Free parking. - Camping section. Cons: - Needs some improvement. - Weird smell in the store.

Loved it, so much choice and they have Iceland products within the store so you can do food shopping same time if you like. Many different departments to visit. New favourite location.

Nice easy to keep distance and was not top busy. Was sad to see suxh a limited range of calligraphy ink and see them stuck in a box. Broken lids and generally worse for wear. Many were nor usable or purchase able. The pen holder I purchased also has not lasted. The coating has chipped away already when purchased less than a week ago. Poor manufacturing id assume but unsure on best outcome for this

Great experience! Needs more staff on the tills, as it was very busy. Prepare to dedicate time as it's very big warehouse type. Preferred the online website shopping - as it's easier if you know what you need!

Purchased a clock and found it was chipped. So returned back to the shop the same evening. Went to the shop the next day to search for something else and found the same returned damaged clock back in shelf for sale for same price.

I found this store with maby of the shelves empty, loads of boxes in the middle of the way, everything was so disorganised and really difficult to find what you need. Many of the aisles were blocked and with no access to them. It's a shame as they have so many good deals and really nice staff, but so difficult to find them.

Bought a 'plate drainer rack', for £5 - for an elderly friend. Good refund policy - I got refund for 1st 2 items - as she didn't like them. But the 3rd item, she liked, so kept it. Good customer service, from staff in different departments & till.

Filthy store, customers also. Some great items but never any prices. Staff need some sort of training or just learn some manners

  • 5/5 CS 2 years ago on Google
Favourite place! I often get carried away in here. They may not always have what you want in stock but you can still find some great gems for a reasonable price.

  • 5/5 SAGATcapoeiraACMB 1 year ago on Google
Very spacious store where you always find something which you actually need to home. From decorations going through bathroom amd on fitness finishing absolutely mental choice of products. Friendly staff will help you to find product you search or even walk with you to aisle where needed product might be.

Only went in for bird seed and plants. Unfortunately, there were no bird seed. Only dried mealworm and niger seed. I guess it was due to the two very hot days we've just had but a lot of the plants were dried up and unattractive. Some of them didn't have prices on and I couldn't be bothered to enquire. Great selection of garden statues and ornaments, but again, some of them did not have prices on, which was frustrating. The rest of the store looked fine. Absolutely packed with everything you could think of. Probably a lot easier to list what they didn't sell.

Had a good selection of items. Was a little disappointed that I wasn't able to purchase an odd chair (which was lying around the store, not wrapped or bar coded) to a set that I had recently purchased, where one of the chairs had slight damage which was visible, but I couldn't be bothered to return. I was more than happy to pay for the chair, but not the full asking price (which is what the very helpful assistant who went to check the price, quoted). I think, she got the price from some other chairs, which were similar, but not the same. I may pop back in a few days to see if it's still there and try and purchase (at a reasonable/fare price for an odd chair).

First time at this branch, very big so no issues with feeling crowded. A lot of stock missing, so maybe best not to go in on New Year's Day... Good size car park which is shared with a a few other shops but it's hard to get out of the car park as the road is very busy even on what you'd consider quiet days.

Helpful and pleasant staff. Manager named Sahara was very helpful and polite, she made my shopping experience quite stressfree. The stock was very reasonably priced and quality is quite good. Great access to the store and great parking.. Overall, good experience.
