One of the best bakeries in London. Everything we tried tasted wonderful, and homemade. We tried the Jammy Dodger cake, the cookie dough brownie and the Velvet Volcano cake. We went a second time and tried the Cookie Dough Cheesecake; and the Boston Cream Pie, Raspberry Ripple and Caramel Latte Cupcakes. Everything was terrific. We found out about the bakery thanks to her owner, Cupcake Jemma´s YouTube channel, whose YouTube channel inspires many people to bake.

After having the Crumbs & Doilies cookery book for a few months and baking some incredible cupcakes I have been so excited to make my first visit to the bakery itself. I am pleased to say it didn't disappoint. We bought 2 mini cupcakes in each of the 6 flavours a Birthday cookie and a Bueno Cookie. The Choc Caramel Cornflake cupcake was just incredible!!!! We've never had a plant based cupcake before and they were surprisingly delicious. Thank you Crumbs & Doilies.

It was my first time at Crumbs & Doilies. Tucked away this delightful little shop sells delicious cakes, cookies and merchandise. I thought the tiny cupcakes were a great idea which we had with a coffee. The cornflake brownies are amazing. I can't believe I managed to bring one home. I'll be sure to pop back in next time and try the cookies

Without a doubt, the BEST cookies in all of London. Don’t bother trying Creme or Ben’s Cookies, this place is significantly better. We tried the Kinder Bueno, Cookies & Cream, Biscoff, and Red Velvet (in order of most to least favorite) but honestly you can’t go wrong with anything here.

I know this place because of YouTube videos by the chef and I couldn’t wait to try Gemma’s cupcakes. The place is really small, there is a big chance you won’t be able to sit and take a bite of those famous cupcakes. I tried their Red Velvet option - pretty delicious, the cupcakes were really moist. The only minus for me was the fact that the frosting is a bit too sweet. The cappuccino was fine. Next time I will have some to go!

Unique pop up style shop thanks to YouTube I discovered this hidden little gem perched in Carnaby Street. Delicious muffin and cookies very cheap eats and quirky place. Only downside is that limited seating inside, since it’s a small cake shop.

I couldn't wait for this place to reopen after christmas, as I was in London for three nights and eager to put a flavour to all the instagram eye-eating i had been doing with this shop. I opted for the malteser cupcake and the red velvet cupcake, both outstanding. Also splashed out on a Cupcake Jemma tea towel for good measure. The service was friendly and chill, the place was almost empty when we entered but after 5 minutes a huge queue had formed out the door! The store is tucked down a little alleyway called Kingly Court, perfect for queuing out the door for your cupcake fix. Will be back!

A lovely selection of cookies and cupcakes in 2 sizes. It is quite pricey so it's more of a rare treat. The minimum purchase for the little cupcakes is 3. They had one vegan cookie and 2 vegan cupcakes when I visited. They also serve Bird & Blend tea in case you are a fan!

We went on Saturday an hour or so before they closed and they only had some cookies left. We tried the red velvet cookies and oh my God! They were soooo good. Soft and you could actually think you were eating a red velvet dessert. In other places they do red velvet stuff and it's just too sweet and coloured red. Will need to come back to try cupcakes and if they are good as the cookies, I'll probably change my review and give 5 stars!!

I just loved it! I’ve been following the channel and I was really afraid I might be disappointed. No such thing! We had the Birthday cookies and it blew our minds how good it was, did not expect this from a simple cookies. Than the red velvet cupcake, I could actually taste the cream cheese in the frosting. Stunning!

My wife took me to Crumbs & Doilies during our trip to London. During the pandemic she followed Cupcake Gemma and tried many of C&D YouTube recipe. Now I had a chance to do a quality control/comparison and I must say C&D is almost as good as my wife's baking 😉

Got a bunch of stuff on our last day in London since the cookies and brownie would keep in plastic bags. Their flavors are on point! Birthday cake and cereal milk are subtler flavors so I was really impressed with these cookies. The cereal milk cupcake was yummy too, the cake part had a cornbread vibe and I enjoyed the caramelized cornflakes on top. The cereal milk caramel brownie (???) was like a Rice Krispies treat but with cornflakes and caramel instead of Rice Krispies and marshmallow. Great hint of salt on their caramelized cornflakes. Would skip the birthday cake tea which didn’t taste very birthday cake-y, but the actual baked goods are excellent. The cookie textures were a bit dry, but made up for by how good the interesting flavors were.

Best cupcakes in the world. After watching Jemma on YouTube for a few years and using her perfect recipes, I knew I had to visit when I come through the area. Unique flavors with perfect execution, I have never had anything this delightful. Priced fairly for its quality, I would recommend this to everyone. If you are visiting London, make your way here, even if it’s a trek.

We got our wedding cake from Crumbs and Doilies and our guests absolutely loved it. The ability to mix and match plant based (I’m vegan) and “normal/dairy” flavours was great. I also had a plant based red velvet Crumbs and Doilies cake for my hen do and it was absolutely delicious. 100% recommend.

Tried the Black Forest cookies as well and it was soft and delicious, very different flavours. Staff was really nice and helpful. Definitely will visit again.

Their cupcakes r so cute, moist and flavorful. Best thing is that there r different flavors and holiday specials so u can always get something new never get enough!!! The mini cupcakes r also super nice for a small treat for yourself. Very delightful. Their cookies r humongous and so tasty as well. We got the chocolate raspberry one. The decadent dark chocolate and the acidity and fruitiness of the raspberry jam paired really well together. LOVE

It might a biased review since I started baking watching YouTube channel of cupcakejemma who owns the Cafe. I was in a different country when I found this channel and always wondered how the cupcake and cookies tasted from the bakery! I finally got the chance to be here today and it tasted just how I imagined. Absolutely delicious and made with love!

We popped in over a very busy Christmas season and it was so worth it. So many yummo options from cupcakes to brownies to cookies. We tried quite a few things, all delicious :) Super staff. Lovely lattes. Soft pastel decor, perfect for rainy London days.

Exceptional cupcakes! Today, I received Christmas cupcakes from Crumbs & Doilies, and I am absolutely thrilled with the entire experience! From the user friendly website to then indulging in the cupcakes with the team. Everything exceeded my expectations! Not only was the cupcakes decorated well, but the flavours were absolutely delightful– a perfect balance of moistness and delectable taste! Office favourite flavours: Christmas Pudding, Red Velvet & Salted Caramel Thank you! Victoria, Burberry

I think most people on here leaving reviews are influenced by the YouTube channel. I went to the store today and bought the Kinder cookie, a red velvet cupcake and burnt butter cupcake. Honestly, I really don’t get the hype. The cookie was nice but nothing I would rave about or come back for again - I like the fact that it had a crunchy cornflake exterior, otherwise, it was a decent cookie, but again, nothing spectacular here. The biggest disappointments were the cupcakes - I wish some cupcake makers would understand the idea of cake to frosting ratio: if you’re gonna have a layer of frosting that’s as big as the cake itself then you’re just going to end up with a tooth achingly sweet product - which the burnt butter one was. I’m really sorry, but the red velvet cake recipe needs work - I have had better tasting supermarket bought red velvet cake. The flavor just wasn’t there. The frosting did not taste like cream cheese which is what I was expecting, just more of the same overly sweet frosting piled high and overwhelming the flavorless sponge beneath it. Really disappointed. I hope the person who reads these reviews at C&D really take this feedback on board, as many business owners dismiss negative reviews and take them as a personal affront.

They offered a variety of cupcakes and cookies, with three vegan options available (that is really good). I tried a raspberry chocolate cookie and a red velvet cupcake. While the frosting on the red velvet cupcake wasn't to my liking, the sponge was enjoyable. The raspberry cake was a bit too dense, making it hard to manage more than a single bite.

Oh My Goodness these Brownies are just as fabulous as C&D customer service Just ate the Biscoff Brownie, I wish I had a better word than delicious. These are a really treat and I can’t recommend Crumbs & Doilies enough. If I could just complement Ellie with whom I’ve been corresponding with, she is friendly but professional and very efficient. Thank you C&D for your patience and dedication to your customers Will definitely be buying again 👍

I asked a delicious lemon chocolate cookie 🍪 gained 9 stars of 10. Red Velvet Mini Cup Cake, little disappointing is not as good as it should be. The cream on top is not the best flavor. Score 6 of 10. Flat White Coffe was the best of all, score 9 of 10. Nice to see size options as small and normal cup cakes. Sad thing is that they only have a few flavors. Inside decoration is lovely, is clean but very small.

It's one of the best cupcakes we've ever munched on. Perfectly moist and just the right amount of sweetness. Our daughter is a fan of Cupcake Jemma on YouTube so we had to try it out and it does not disappoint.

Me and my daughter live watching your YouTube tutorials, so when we visited London Crumbs and Doilies was on our go to list. It's a cute little shop with amazing cakes, we even bought a cupcake Jemma apron! Thank you x

Very lovely bakery! Staff was very welcoming and friendly. They have a huge selection of baked goods to choose from. I got the caramel cornflake brownie, blueberry cheesecake cupcake, and cereal milk cupcake. Brownie was absolutely delicious. The cupcakes were good, but I did find them a little dry. Would definitely return to try their cookies!

I never fail to pop into this adorable store, whenever I'm in the area. It is hands down the most delicious cake and cookie offerings you will find in London. It might be a little expensive, but that's central London for you. Aside from that though, it takes a lot to run this place given it's masterclass tutorials on YouTube are all free for anyone, I'm happy to pay a little bit more to guarantee myself really tasty treats. Staff are super friendly and very helpful. I've been here at least 5 time and will continue visiting and bringing friends too!
