Sorry
for
a
long
review!
I
ran
10
miles
this
morning.
So
what?
I’ve
had
an
ongoing
achilles
problem
for
the
past
8
years
after
being
a
good
runner
and
it
being
a
massive
part
of
my
life,
its
been
6
years
since
I
tried
to
race
in
pain,
and
4
since
I
even
tried
a
5k
run.
I’ve
seen
at
least
3-4
physios
and
sports
doctors
over
the
years,
who
have
looked,
scanned,
occasionally
squeezed,
and
after
4-5
sessions
I’ve
given
up,
because
it
was
all
about
standing
on
one
leg,
single
leg
squats,
weak
glutes
and
hopping.
Yeah
yeah,
I
know
I
have
a
problem,
but
this
hurts
and
what
is
causing
this?
2
weeks
ago
(yes
2
weeks),
I
thought
I’d
give
a
physio
one
more
try,
really
expecting
a
final
review,
and
referral
to
a
sports
doctor
for
more
invasive
procedures
and
injections,
or
even
to
be
told
don't
run
due
to
wear
and
tear.
I
met
Colin
Hill.
“Has
anyone
put
their
hands
on
you
before”
was
his
first
question?
"No,
they
looked”.
“OK,
lets
see
what
we
can
do.
I’m
confident
I
can
get
you
to
at
least
60%
after
3
sessions”.
A
bit
full
of
himself,
I
thought,
but
nothing
to
lose.
I
did
3
sessions
over
the
next
2
weeks
in
quick
succession.
I’m
running
without
pain.
Whatever
Colin
did
has
worked.
Honestly,
I’m
overwhelmed
and
grateful,
and
quite
emotional,
to
get
back
to
something
I
love.
I’m
running
proper
distances
again
after
less
than
2
weeks,
after
literally
not
running
at
all
for
4
years,
and
pain
for
8
years.
Its
early
days,
with
some
ongoing
work
required,
and
it
will
take
a
while
to
get
back
to
where
I
was,
but
Colin
is
a
truly
outstanding
physio,
and
I’d
all
but
given
up
on
running
again.
I
can’t
recommend
enough,
truly
great
at
what
he
does.
